Estimated Costs are Zero in PM03 work orders

Hi experts,
I had an issue in PM03 (Preventive Maintenance ) work orders.
While Work orders kicks out from the plan work orders are creating with REL status. And here i can see the Estimated costs as Zero in costs Tab of the work order.
Please suggest if anything is missing from config end or how to proceed on this.
Br,
Sandeep

Hi Sandeep,
There are some threads available to get the plan cost copied to Estimated cost.
Estimated Cost & Planned Cost : Maintenance Order  SAP PM
Use below to maintain value categories.
Plant Maintenance and Customer Service - Maintenance and Service Processing - Basis Settings - Setting for Display of Cost
You can explorer certain things those OSS notes, some notes are released for updating estimated cost. So refer it.
I have not worked on this, so you need to think about updating estimated cost when the plan is generating the order and before releasing it, whether this can gets updated.

  • Issue with Cost center in PO and Work Order

    Dear Expert,
    I am facing an issue with respect to cost center in Purchase Order and Work Order. The PO is made against a work order. There are two cost center associated with the work order. One is updated under u201CAdditional datau201D field and other is at u201Clocationu201D . So the cost center in PO should essentially be the same one mentioned under u2018locationu2019 field of work order. So the issue here is that while creating PO, the cost center is picked from the u201Cadditional datau201D field of work order not from u2018locationu2019 field of WO.
    Is there any exit available that needs to be implemented for overriding the cost center in PO or any other way of solving this problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Deba

    Hi,
    I guess that there is already some user exit or enhancement in place, since this doesn't sound like standard SAP (picking the cost data from additional data, or even having it there).

  • Actual Costs are not captured in Production Order

    Hi Experts,
    I'm not able to see the actual costs for a production order. We made the cost estimate for a material for this month. We created the production order and partial confirmation also done. In production order i'm able to see the target cost only. I'm not able to see the actual cost for the production order after confirmation.
    In routing costing relevancy tick mark is available and in work center i maintained the cost center and activity types also.
    Can you please share anything is missed for getting actual cost for a production order.
    Naren

    dear friend,
    you would finally confrim order (set CNF status) and try again.
    also chack out you master data:
    -material master (possible Acc1-2 and Cost1-2)
    -work center (say,did you set a valid Cost center there?), are activities set up? usage? validity?..
    -routing (header data and control key at item level)
    check out your control key against the 'Cnf' and 'PrtCnf' checkboxes...
    good luck!

  • Target costs are not appearing in Production order

    Dear friends,
    I have created cost estimate for a material on 22.08.2010. I have posted so many back log entries from 1st aug to 22nd aug i.e creation of production orders and goods issues to the production orders and and goods receipts from the production orders. Now I am not able to see the target costs in the production order even after running the variance calculation. Plz help me how to get the target values in the production order.

    Hi
    1. Have you released the cost estimate from CK24 before GR from prod order? Check if field Current price in Costing 2 view is not Zero
    2. If your contr area currency is different than comp code currency, then your costing variant should allow you to release the cost in contr area currency as well.. T code OKKN ("assignments" tab)
    3. Check if target cost version 0 is defined properly and assigned to your contr area
    4. check if variance key is there in your prod order.. you can assign default var key to plant in OKVW

  • Using a hierarchy but also showing work orders that are not in hierarchy

    good morning bi people,
    i have a requirement to show data from a hierarchy which includes Operation and Maintenance information. for example it has an account broken into labour/material/trucking and below this is the pm acivity type and secondary cost element (concatenated). this hierarchy is a manually created hierarchy that is uploaded to BW and is not in ECC. The users do not want to see the concatenated field at the end of the hierarchy, but instead, want to see the Work Orders that have the PM activity types.
    At the present time, we have the report using the hierarchy but we need the work orders to replace the pm activity type/secondary cost element concatenated field. the work order field is a free characteristic and when we drag in the work order in analyzer, it works correctly.
    1) is this possible to use the hierarchy and somehow map the work order field to the end of the hierarchy within crystal?
    2) do you have a suggestion to change the hierarchy, without being a manual nightmare?
    all conversations are welcome.
    Erik

    Good Day Ingo,
    i have created a word document with screen shots of the hierarchy from BW, a screen shot of the BEx showing the free characteristic of Maintenance Order and a screen shot of the crystal report with the PM Activity type concatenated to the Cost Element. Once again, we do not wish to see the concatenated field, but rather see the Maintenance orders that have a PM Activity type the same as the concatenated field.
    here is the link.

  • PM/CS Order:Copying Planned Cost to Estimated Cost

    Hi All,
    There is a requirement to copy all the planned costs to estimated costs while releasing a PM/CS order.
    Any ideas how to implement this?
    We have tried all the possible user exits , but we could not find anything helpful.
    Harmeet.

    Hi,
         We had a similar functionality  ...I have checked the code in our system and we have used user Exit :IW010009 and below is the code :
    The code was something as below :
    the following function selects all the costs that have to do with the
    work order. All costs in each line.
      CALL FUNCTION 'PM_WORKORDER_COSTS_LIST'
           EXPORTING
                LIST_CURRENCY  = caufvd_imp-waers
                PMCO_DETAIL    = 'X'
                ALL_CURRENCIES = 'X'
                EXTERNAL_CALL  = 'X'
           TABLES
                LIST_AUFK      = i_caufvd_imp
                LIST_PMCO      = i_list_pmco
                COMP_PMCO      = i_comp_pmco
           EXCEPTIONS
                NO_ORDERS      = 1
                NO_CURRENCY    = 2
                NO_COSTS_FOUND = 3
                OTHERS         = 4.
      IF SY-SUBRC EQ 0.
    We will import the totals information
        READ TABLE i_list_pmco INTO wa_list_pmco INDEX 1.
        caufvd_imp-user4 = wa_list_pmco-pkosten.
    Hope the above would be helpful for you ,,

  • Target Cost was zero in production order

    Hello,
    We are experiencing every 1st day of the month target cost was zero for those production order which basic start date was on the 1st day of the month, this happen last march and this april it also happening but in january and february we did not experienced this issue. we wonder how this happening to us, since as we check those production order which basic start date was on the 2nd date and prior all has values in its target cost, this is for same finished material. How was this happening to our plant? how can we check and resolve this issue? am on a PP guy, as i have check the data of those order nothing peculiar for me, and it those material has cost estimate ok, this was released on the 01.01.2009 in this costing run will last untill of the year this was also been seen in the material master data current cost estimate.
    As we have search for the performance assistant in SAP it thus tells us:
    Total Target Costs
    Total value of the target costs.
    Calculated with the following formula:
    Total target costs = Target cost debit + Target cost credit.
    Use
    Target costs are the planned costs adjusted to the actual operating rate.
    The target debit on a manufacturing order is the sum of the activity-independent planned debit of the order and the activity-dependent planned debit of the order multiplied by the actual quantity of the order.
    The target credit of a manufacturing order results from the goods receipt postings to stock. The delivered actual quantity is valuated with the planned price according to the price control.
    The total value of the target costs is the sum of the target debit and the target credit.
    The target costs are calculated during variance calculation and updated to the database.
    The target costs cannot be shown until you have performed variance calculation for this target cost version. The target credit for the calculation of the total variances and production variances cannot be calculated until an actual quantity for an order exists after a goods receipt posting.
    For the calculation of variances, the target costs are compared with the control costs.
    Dependencies
    The calculation of target costs depends on the selected target cost version.
    But still we don't know how to check the issue and fixed it:
    Please help us and guide us to resolve this issue
    Thanks

    Hi,
    in some more details i have found out on our issue, one of the prerequisite for our variant calculation is Variance calculation at the manufacturing order level requires that the order is fully delivered (final confirmation is done) and technically completed ( except order pass through the mid night of period end ). Those informations can be displayed in the manufacturing order status.
    order should be TECO right? but as said on this order pass through the mid night of period end can be have variance calculation, thus am right? this could be affect why the target cost was zero?
    Thanks

  • Work Order & Cost Center Commitment Management

    We have a business requirement to be able to view our work order commitments (Reqs and POs) from the work order as well as from the cost center assigned to the work order via a settlement rule. Our business users do not like the work order collecting all of the costs instead of the cost center where they perform their cost controlling.
    The actuals will settle to the cost center eventually but without the commitments they have no way of planning for future costs. Commitments management is activated for both the cost centers and work orders involved. I am open to any suggestions on how to achive this requirement. Thanks!

    Any thoughts?

  • Work order issue ( IW31)

    Hi all,
    I am currently working on IW31/IW32(create work order) and trying to find the table in which the estimated cost and actual cost is found.
    also i would like to know if there are any function modules or BAPI's related with the creation of work order.
    Any thoughts appreciated.
    Thanks.
    regards,
    verma.

    Hi Jose,
    Even I am facing the similar problem in IW31 and IW32.
    I need the data base table in which the actual and estimated cost are stored for a given work order.
    Also i need to know in which table data in opertaions tab and work order component data is stored.
    Appreciate you reply
    Thanks

  • Purchase and release order not allowed for TECO work orders

    Hi
    We are typically setting maintenance work orders to TECO once the physical work as been performed as that sets the reference date for showing the history of when the maintenance was performed, and when the maintenance call was completed. However, we have invoices that may come in significantly later than when the  physical work was performed.
    Once the order is in TECO a purchase or release order (for services against a contract) cannot be created for the work order. Additionally it appears that even if we have a release order,or purchase order, if it is not for the exact amount of the invoice the release or purchase order cannot be ammended - we get the sameerror mssage (BS007) as when creating a new purchase order for the TECO order.
    I had wondered about using BS22 to change TECO to continue to allow purchase  and release orders when the order is in TECO status.
    Any input on pros/cons or other approachs appreciated.
    Philip

    Thanks
    That was what I initially thought. However I was informed that if the invoice is not for the originally determined amount that to post the invoice means having to change the PO, and changing the PO appears to hit the same business transaction as creating a PO, and so we get the error mssage.
    The issue is that we may know we need to have services estimated at, say, $5.000. But we do not know what the actual final invoice will be. So the actual amount may end up being $4,500 or $5,500 as an example, and it may come ni late from the vendor. The Purchse Order side is not my expertize, but I am being informed that the invoice must match the PO amount, otherwise the PO must be ammended to match. As the order is in TECO, the user cannot amend the PO.
    I would be happy to know of other options, or at least good questions to ask. I want the end user to be able to post the invoice against the PO, after the order is in TECO, even it the invoice amount is not exactly the same as what was originally anticipated.
    regards
    Philip

  • Attachment not shown in Work Order

    Hi, Using Oracle Document ID ID 882952.1, we have configured oracle Functionality to attach Manual / documents in EAM Work Order, but followed all steps as mentioned Oracle Document but attachments are not showing in Work Order when we try view that specific attachment from Maintenance Super User.

    Umair

    Thanks for answering.
    Well, we have same archivelink customizing in another systemo for MIRO transaction and it works fine.
    There's a development, of course. There's a job that executes a program and attaches the pdf from a server, etc.
    So we can attach pdf files when entering an invoice. Guess there's a missing step, but don't know exactly which.
    Maybe basis people blocked something, but we don't have a clue.

  • Mass Printing of Works Orders and Related Documentation

    Hi everyone,
    I have a very peculiar problem, and any pointers in the right direction will be appreciated.
    If this is not the right forum, please point me into the right direction.
    The problem that I have is this:
    I print multiple Works Orders (Plant Maintenance) at a time.
    Linked to these work orders are Equipments etc. and linked to the Equipments, SAP DMS documents. When priting the Work Orders, the sequence of the related information (e.g. documents) are random, i.e. a user will need to sort the prints to match the Work Order with it's relevant documents.
    Essentially, what I need is: print #1 W/O with attached docs, then print #2 W/O with attached docs, then print #3 W/O with attached docs
    Any ideas at what I need to look at?
    You can imagine if I print 400 works orders and all the documents related to it and it in not collated.
    Thanks.

    Can you let me know what transaction / process which you are using to print work orders, In case if you are using any transaction then we will check for user exits / badis so that we may enhance the standard functionality.
    One more suggestion is you can post in the forum: [click here|SAP ERP - Logistics Materials Management (SAP MM);
    Thanks

  • Generating deltas records after a work order status change

    Hi
    We are currently reporting on Work Order status changes in BW. However, the process team has written an ABAP program that allows users to change a Work Order status or an Opeartion status. Any changes using this method do not trigger a delta record to be written to the Outbound Queue MCEX17 and subsequently we do not pick them up in BW without having to to a re-initialise.
    Could anyone tell me how we could trigger a delta to be written to the Outbound Queue in the same manner as the standard Work Order change transaction IW32.
    Cheers, Mark

    Hi
    I m not sure about functionality though but you can create delta by using FM...
    Search SDN and you will get doc for that..

  • Work Order Operation Duplicated on Operation/Activity Number

    I had a coworker duplicated his activity number on a operation. He hit save after he had changed the operation number. Now it is giving an error "Inconsistent data: Order 20066826 02/11/2008, duplicate entry U 0125. This had only happened once before and I tecoed/business completed the work order. Then told them to create a new order. But this one, has important information in it, so I was asked to save this order.
    Any way to renumber the operation or delete it, or just get in the work order itself? I get this error in change or display.
    Thanks

    What you describe should not have happened, and in 11 years of consulting on SAP Plant Maintenance I can only recall having seen this kind of problem once previously. It's not a very easy problem to resolve. There are a couple of suggestions I can make, neither of which are particularly easy or straighforward:
    1. Raise an OSS message with help.sap.com to see if they are aware of the problem and have an ABAP that you can download that will correct or delete the database entries. I have done this successfully previously but whether they have an off the shelf solution for this will depend on which version you are on and which tables have corrupted entries in them.
    2. Get an ABAPer to look at the problem and produce an ABAP program to correct the entries internally. It wouldn't need to be a particularly complex program, only a few lines, but some analysis would be needed to ensure that all of the affected table entries are corrected as the work order operations are split across several tables.
    Sorry but there is not really an easy answer to this one.
