Workflow does not start on a event: document copied in from another library's workflow.

I'm using SharePoint Online for Office 365.
I have a workflow that initiates as soon as a new item is added to a folder. That workflow gets approval from a group of people. Then copies the document to a new folder and deletes the original.
I have another workflow set to initiate as soon as a new document is created or changed that gets approval from a second set of users and moves the document again.
Problem: Both workflows work great on their own. The problem i'm having is the second workflow doesn't initiate when the document is moved. There's apparently no way to trigger a workflow from within a workflow. Is there a way to edit the data in the current
item after it's moved to trigger the second workflow?
Also, I tried to nest the second workflow within the first but it didn't link the document to the second workflow.
Any help is appreciated.

From what I'm told, this is purposeful. It's to protect the user from firing a million workflows on accident. I believe you can run an impersonation step (requires 2010 workflow) on the document moving part and it will then successfully fire.

Goto SAP Easy Access Menu
Human Resourses -> TEM -> Information Menu ->Reports
In this path u can execute all kinds of reports.
Also Ravi, When somebody completes training, he or she should give feedback to training coordinators about instructor, course content, duration etc. How we are maintaining these feedback mechanisms in SAP Training and Event Management.
You are able to perform this feed-back with the help of appraisals.

Transfer changes from Document to the Document Set [Sharepoint bug?]

I I have Document Set, 1 Document inside and, for example,
1 general field.
Task: when I change Document I need to copy value of the general field to the Document Set.
Problem: I made Workflow on Document that calls when I change it, this Workflow copies data to the Document Set.
But it doesn't work, because when I change Document inside Document Set there are 2 events: "Document was changed" and "Document Set was changed". And the event "Document Set was changed" called first and it copies all general
fields to all documents inside. That's why when my Workflow starts, field in Document has value from Document Set not the one that user typed.
Any solutions to solve the task or problem (e.g. to increase the priority for Workflow on documents inside)?

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to copy the value of a field for a document inside a document set to the associated column for document set.
How did you design your workflow?
I did a test based on your description, and I used the ID (in my testing, the ID of the document set is 2)to find the associated document set, and the testAA is the column.

Event gets lost when iView is uncompressed for the first time

Hi All,
we are developing an application that manages attachments (meaning: files stored in KM) and per request by the client consists of several iViews. One of them contains a search interface, another one lists the hits that have been found. So the iViews have to communicate.
We achieved the funcionality by using portal eventing and the HTTP session. The search iView compiles the search string and writes it to the session.
request.getComponentSession().getHttpSession().setAttribute(searchString, .....);
We then use javascript to fire an event on which the searchResult iView reacts and fetches the searchString from the session. The actual search is then performed within the searchResult-iView.
The only problem is that the client requested that the searchResult iView should initially be collapsed. So we set its "initial display" property to "collapsed" and implemented some javascript functionality in the search iView that expands the searchResult iView when a search is performed:

We then fire an event:
EPCM.raiseEvent('...', 'SearchEvent', param, '');
All works fine, except for the very first time the searchRersult iView is expanded after the application (meaning the page containing the iViews) has been opened. The searchResult iView is properly expanded, but the event seems to get lost so that no search is being performed (no error, but no reaction by the iView).
We observed that it seems as if the contents of the iView are only fetched by the browser when it's expanded for the first time. (The progress bar of the browser shows loading activity when expanding the iView for the first time). Supposedly the event gets lost because the serachResult iView doesn't fetch it since it's just being loaded.
After this initial erroneous behavior, the iView can be in compressed or expanded state before a search is being performed and everything works fine.
Interestingly enough the problem can be resolved by setting a timeout of several seconds after expanding the iView and before firing the search event. But we find this to be a very questionable (and inconvenient) method of solving this problem and would rather like to solve it properly.
Does anyone have any ideas how we could achieve this? Is there a way to determine whether an iView has been loaded by the browser (because obviously displaying and loading an iView seem to be two different things)?

We introduced a boolean "isInitial" flag to the bean which we use to determine whether the iView is expanded for the first time or not. If so, there is a timeout of 2 seconds before the event is fired.
Not really satisfactory, but working.

Events triggered under SAP transactions

Hi All,
I would like to know where we can find the information of Which Events get triggered under which transaction.
Like for example: BUS2105.Significantly Changed is raised when PO is changed from ME52N.
I would like to know if I change the PO details from any other transaction IW22, will it raise the same event?

You are available with the Transaction <b>SWEL</b>.
It shows all the triggered events of any Bo when ever corresponding acts occur.
Eg. Once a material is created, it rtriggers the Created event of BUS1001006.
Now you can check the event trace in SWEL for a particular BO event.
Also you can select more fields from the Lay-out like date,time,receiver FM, key and so many.
All is that event will trigger,when ever it finds that act, it hardly matters where the act has been done.
Hope it clears ur understanding about events.

IRecruitment Business Events

Folks,
I want to send a notification to a user who registers on our iRecruitment website. There is a business event which I can use but I am not sure about the steps to subscribe to the business event.
I know that I need to :
1. find the appropriate business event - this step is completed.
2. Subscribe to the event - half done since I don't know whether I need to put a workflow there or a pl/sql package.. Need some advice from this point onwards.
If someone is willing to share a workflow/business event document, that would be really helpful. I am working with business events the first time.

We are using Jdeveloper 10.1.3 / oracle 10g / Oracle Fusion Middleware (BPEL) 10g and want to create a sample POC using BPEL process, any kind of Publish Event sample schema, Publish Event sample XML, Advance Queue adapter in jdev and be able to publish (enqueue) messages on sample AQ and be able to consume those messages (dequeue) by subcriber.
as you see, this is just a sample POC .... nothing concrete as yet.
I searched "Oracle By Example" for such sample code or zip that i can download. but did not find one.
Can you point me to such sample code, i can open in jdeveloper and test ?

How to load multiple HTML5 canvas on the same page (the proper method)

I've been struggling to load multiple canvas animations on the same page. At the beggining I thought that exporting the movies with different namespaces and reloading the libraries in a sequential flow might work, but it doesn't. It always loads just the last animation loaded. More info here: Coding challenge: what am I doing wrong?
Here is a sample of what I'm doing:
1st: Publish two flash movies with custom namespaces for "lib" set in the "publish settings": "libFirst" and "libSecond".
2nd: Edit the canvas tags in the HTML page. One called "firstCanvas" and the other one called "secondCanvas"
3rd: Edit the javascript like this:

If I only need to show one flash movie at a time, would it be more efficient to cut & paste the canvas tag using jQuery in the DOM and reloading a different lib on it?

I was able to fix it. At the end, it was easier than I thought. Just have to publish using a different "lib" namespace for each movie, load all the scripts at the end of the <body> and then add the following to the onload or ready events:

HP Print Doctor shows printer but cannot print.

After uninstalling some software that was causing my Windows 8.1 PC to freeze, I am no longer able to send a document to my HP 6230 printer.
- I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software several times.
- The printer will successfully print an "internal" test page using HP diagnostic software.
- Trying to print from any Windows program will bring up the printer icon in the task bar. The document name shows, the status says spooling then printing but nothing prints.
- Windows printer troubleshooter discovers no problems.
- HP troubleshooter discovers no problems.
- I can successfully print using another PC on the home network.
- Since this is a networked printer, I can actually see and select the printer driver from a networked PC from the PC in question, and this will print normally. In other words, when I bring down the printer list in Word for example, I see:
1) HP Officejet Pro 6230 (networked)
2) HP Officejet Pro 6230 on Old PC
If I select printer number 2, I can print but selecting printer number 1 does not cause a document to print.
- Services.msc reports that the Print Spooler is running and the Startup is Automatic. I have stopped/started it several time.- I have tried using printer with USB cable to PC but still won't print. - Windows event log shows Event ID 372 with each print attempt, details below.Log Name: Microsoft-Windows-PrintService/Admin

Perhaps during the removal of the offending software -- or as a result of the system not "settling in" after said removal, the File System is not "seeing" the prerequsite files needed to run the full driver set needed to run the print program. PDF FORM - GPS INPUT

I am making a pdf form using acrobat XI on a mac (OS 10.6) and want to have a button to press that will input GPS co-ords into form fields, derived from the device (tablet, android, idevice)
Someone else asked the same question in a forum, got the following javascript, and a number of people commented that it worked fine on all devices, and yet i get SyntaxError 4: line 5.
Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

That code is not for use in a PDF form, but rather an HTML form in a browser. I don't know of any PDF viewers on any device that supports this type of thing.

SRM 7.0 Notification in case of rejection of SC by approver is not working

Hi Experts,
we are on SRM 7.0 EhP 1.
I would like to send a mail to the shopping cart creator in case of rejection of the SC by the approver.
- Event schema SC has been assigned to transaction type SHC
- Event schema contains event APPROVAL_PROCESS_DOC_REJECTED (event category: notific // subcategory of event: APPROVAL_RESULT_NOTIFIC_NEW)
- In scenario SC (approve shopping cart) user role CR (contact person u2013 in most cases the creator of the document) the entry Rejection of Application Object is ticked
After rejecting the SC no mail is sent. (checked is sost)
The SC creator has an e-mail address in his su01 account.
Iu2019ve checked SWI1 there is an entry with task TS40007983 u2013 Task text: Trigger Event: 'Document Rejected)
Iu2019ve checked transaction swetypv (event type linkages). There is no entry with BUS2121 u2013 Event rejected. Do I need to add this entry?
Have I missed anything?

Curious... Syncing Issues Between iPhone and iTunes?

Just curious... the past several months I have noted various concerns around "syncing" between iPhone and iTunes... yet don't recall any mention of whether it occurs between MAC OS or WIN hardware (desktops and or laptops). Furthermore, I am interested if anyone can comment whether these sync issues occurs mostly on TIGER or LEOPARD OS when accessing iTUNES. (Guess I should pay more attention to the noted OS field.
I ask because I am considering an upgrade to LEOPARD by end of month and don't want to jeopardize my syncing to my iPhone if it is a LEOPARD related issue. Thank you

I'm running Leopard and I've never experienced any sync issues.
These discussions include mostly problems, which is what these discussions are for - a user to user support forum for technical support issues and questions.
Which particular issue are you referring to?
Before installing a major OS X upgrade such as Leopard over a previous OS X version, it is a good idea to create or update your existing backup of important data stored on your computer's hard drive - including your iTunes library, photos, contact info, calendar events, documents, etc. I've never experienced any problems installing a major OS X upgrade over a previous OS X version, but I always update my computer's backup immediately beforehand to be on the safe side.

In my previous example, I blindly followed what you had presented us with to make sure that it would work.
Looking into it more closely, the example shows two methods of obtaining the data, the first method is calling external data (show_data.php) using AJAX, the second method is including the data as part of the script. In both cases the data has to be presented in JSON format.
In the example below, I have shown the second method, mainly because it makes more sense than a PHP file creating JSON data at random. Once you have got the thing to work, you can always go to an external data file.

As you can see, the dates have been placed in an array called eventData[]. Here you can place as many dates in the correct format as you wish. The body, footer and classname are used by the Bootstrap Modal dialog.
Incidentally, my grandson turns 7 on the 21st.
