Every time I plug in my ipodtouch 5g into adapter it doesn't charge

Doesn't charge even when I plug it out and in sometimes it charges and then it just stops.

- See:
iPod touch: Hardware troubleshooting
- Try another cable
- Try another charging source
- Look at the dock connector on the iPod. Look for abnormalities like bent or corroded contacts, cracked or broken plastic.
- Make an appointment at the Genus Bar of an Apple store.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Could be a defective Lightning cable. Some 5G iPod shipped with defective cable. Apple will replace it. Go to an Apple store if it is the cable.
