Okay, so every time I plug my iPod Touch into my laptop it always imports my videos

Okay, so every time I plug my iPod Touch (4G) into my laptop it always imports my videos & photos. I don't want my videos and photos saved onto others files on my laptop so how do I stop this from automatically happening when I plug in my iPod?
Thanks! Laura,

There should be a pane in your photo program that can control what your iPhone does when plugged in.

  • HT201210 Every time I plug my Ipod touch into itunes it tells me it cannot read it and it needs to be reset to factory settings.

Can anyone help us figure out why every time we plug 2 of our 3 ipod touch devices it tells us to reset it to factory settings. We have reset them a few times but it still tells us to do it every time we plug them in to itunes to sync them.

    - Inspect the dock connector for bend or missing contacts, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
    - Try a different USB port
    - Try a another cable
    - Try another computer. If this works this points to your computer. If no then it points to iPod problem

  • I plugged my ipod touch into my laptop and started to down load an (1) upgrade.  But Itunes says that the upgrade will take two hours.  I started the down load and it started and stoped and eventualy never complerted the down load.  How can I fix this ?

I plugged my Ipod touch into my Dell laptop and went to Itunes.  Itunes told me I should down load an upgrade, so I did.  Itunes said the down load would take two hours.  I started the down load, but after two + hours (&longer) , after several starts and stops the down load never completed.
I recently got a (fake anti virus) virus and it damaged my computer.  I got it fixed and reinstalled the software and it appears to be working correctly. Could this be the part of the problem ?
Would it help if I reloaded the Itunes (off an external HD) or downloaded it again from Itunes ?
    Thanks

I doubt it.  For my updates, it has typically taken me many tries/retries.  Like for you, the download would stop.  and I would have to restart from the beginning.  If you get a network timed out error try disabling the security software on your computer.

  • Every time I plug my Ipod touch 4g in my computer to itunes, it deletes all of my apps on my ipod. How can I stop this? x

    Hey Guys,
I got an Ipod touch 4g for Christmas and am having a few problems. Firstly, everytime I plug my ipod into my laptop onto itunes to put music onto it, all of my apps on my ipod get deleted and I can't go on them. Have you got any tips?
Your help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks xxx

It appears that you previous synced the iPod with another iTunes library/computer. You can only sync with one iTunes library.  If yuy try to sync with another library the iPOd will be erased and its contents replaced with the contents in the iTunes library of the computer.

  • Is there a way to fix the "carging is not supported with this accessory" warning when I plug my ipod touch into my laptop?

It's been working fine up til now, but the other day it began coming up as a warning. It also won't let me play music for very long before connectingand disconnecting my ipod multiple times....It's never had this issue before, so I have no idea what's going on.
I assume it has something to do with the update that I need to run on my ipod touch, but it says that it will erase everything on my ipod when I do it....and I don't have everything in my itunes library because I've had to start over fresh a few times...So I'm really scared of doing this update, but I feel like my ipod needs it...

    Try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    - Restor from backup
    - Restoe to factory defaults/new iPod.

  • Okay every time i plug my ipod up to my laptop a message comes up and says one of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. Can someone plz help me ive done everything.

I really need assistance/help with my ipod because it was working fine one day. Then the next day i decide to put more music on it then this message came up, and ive tried all the troubleshooting stuff and different links to help but still no success. But theres one thing i havent tried yet someone told me to buy another Apple charger and wall plug in to see if that works other than that i need help because i went to settings and erased everything off my ipod to see if that worked and it didnt so all my stuff is gone....Yeah i was ****** but plz help me!

I would first try unplugging All the USB devices plugged into your computer, and then plug back in just the iPhone and see if that is recognized.  Also, do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed on your PC, as you need to?
    Hope this helps

  • Why is it that every time I hook my Ipod up to my laptop it makes duplicates of the songs in my Ipod?

Every time I link my Ipod touch to my laptop it starts to sync with my computer even though I have it on the "manually manage music and videos" option. Along with syncing, it makes copies of the same songs that are already on my Ipod so now I have 3 of the same song on there. Is there anybody else that has had this problem? Please help!!!!!!!

Try to delete compatibility.ini in the Firefox Profile Folder.
That should initiate compatibility, but hopefully it won't return a next time.
If that doesn't work then try a new profile.
Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
See Basic Troubleshooting: Make a new profile:
    * https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile
There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)
    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox

  • My iPod playlists are deleted every time I plug my iPod into my MacBook Pro.

Every time I plug my iPod into my MacBook Pro, my iPod playlists are deleted.  I have all the sync features turned off on both the iPod and computer.  What is happening?  I hate having to remake my "Workout" playlist everytime I plug in!

Correct.  All sync features are turned off and if is 'manually manage' somewhere, I have checked the box to do so.  So basically everything is set for me to manage manually, yet my iPod playlists are still being deleted.

    Not Charge
    - See:

    - Try another cable.
    - Try another charging source
    - Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.

  • Every time I plug in my headphones into my Macbook Pro, my volume control buttons don't work.

Every time I plug in my headphones into my Macbook Pro, my volume control buttons don't work. Even after I unplug my headphones they don't work, they get stuck on the level of volume it was at when I plugged in the headphones. I can control the volume if I go to system preferences and do it that way, but that is such a pain. • My computer that has iTunes on it crashed and I plugged my iPod Touch into it after it had crashed. Now it says it needs to be connected to iTunes.

After my computer with iTunes on crashed I plugged my iPod Touch into the computer. It then said that it needs to be connected to iTunes but i can't connect it as the computer deleted iTunes and doesn't work. Please help.

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone, iPad and iPod touch software.

Yes, it will be erased. You need to first transfer the music to iTunes on your computer using a third-party utility such as Phone to PC | macroplant.com
