Everyone gets software updates except N75

I already heard on another forum why N75 owners can't get software updates, but now I'm hearing they can. Still, after numerous attempts, NSU responds that my phone is not supported. Gezz, it surely should be, I spent a lot of money on it. Can I never get an update for my phone?

if your phone is network branded then it will take longer for new firmware as the network provider needs to customize the newer firmware releases. That is why people with unbranded phones gets firmware upgrades before those with branded phones.

Is it mandatory that the same apple id used for purchase should be used to get software updates? What happens if os x was purchased using one apple id and you use another to check for updates?

I think the operating system is the one exception to the rule that usually the purchase is linked to the Apple ID rather than the machine, but with operating systems (Lion, Mountain Lion) the purchase is tracked on the machine instead.

I just purchased iLife 08 and was wondering if I need to register my iLife in order to get software updates on these new programs.....
Also, aside from that... what are some good reasons to register in the first place? Seems to me that Apple just wants to email me on further products and attain my info. I'm sure that sentence is not completely valid, but nonetheless. :-p

Getting Software Update to work?

Hi guys,
We're looking into trying to get Software Update to work on our Xserve.
The network team have put the IP address into their Inty client to allow us direct access to the net.
Problem is that when I start up the service and click update list nothing happens even tho it's downloaded some updates perviously (So confused.com)
Looking back through the logs to see what the **** has gone wrong I found this under each log:

* NFS
* Open Directory
* SMB
* Software Update
Can someone please offer some advice on what I need to do to get this service working. As it would be handy to get the Mac's to communicate with the xserve rather than going to the net or sending the updates to the Mac's and not logging on each one at a time

Where do I go to get software updates for my wireless printer hp 4620 series

I have a wireless printer hp 4620 series. It came with an installer cd that only allows use of OS X , Mountain Lion, and Lion. My system is OS Yosemite. The cd told me that the installation was not recommended and I should get software update from Apple. but did not give me a link as to where I could go. Please help! I need to re-establish my wireless connection between my Apple and my printer. ASAP.

It should print with old drivers but you need the updated drivers for scanning.

i have been having problems getting Software up dat to work. I have reinstalled the OS which is OS10.5 i Am connected to the internet. and have tried everything that i can think of to get it to work but it keeps coming up with this error msg: Software Update can’t connect to the update server. On another issue, i have a magic mouse that used to work perfectly, ever since i reinstalled the OS the scrolling and other finger gestures dont work. Still getting "Software Update Failed" when attempting to download iOS 7 on iPhone 4S.

I've tried countless times now to download iOS 7 on my 4S which is currently running iOS 6.1.3. It downloads completely then in the "Preparing Update..." stage it gives me an error box saying "Software Update Failed. An error occurred downloading iOS 7.0." The same thing happens every time, I've rebooted and reset my pone several times as well as logging in an out of my Apple ID all with no success. It's not like it takes an unusual amount of time downloading or anything, and once it finishes downloading it shows less storage in the "About" section in "Settings" but goes back to where it was once it gives the error message. Just a note, I was able to download iOS 7 on my iPad 3 the day the software was released without a long waiting period or any hassle. I appreciate any input. Thank you.

Thanks for the response. I have 16.5 GB of available space at the moment. I've tried it connected to a wall charger and connected to my wifi, my schools wifi, and my gyms wifi all with no success. I have not tried it from iTunes but after posting this question a few suggestioned discussions came up, one of which recommended backing up to iCloud or iTune and then performing a complete restore. I'm in the process of doing that now, whether it works or doesn't work I will get back to either way. Thanks again.

Hi, I have had my mac for about six months but lately I haven't been able to access any software updates. When I click on software updates I get a message that says "Failed to check for updates. The operation couldn't be completed. Operation not permitted"

Are you trying to do this with an Admin account? If so, you may need to contact Apple to help you straighten this out. If you aren't logged in as an Admin, try logging in as one and click Software Update again.

share point server OS gets Updates finely .But the Problem is here that share point service doesn't get any updates .all updates deployed to OS except share Point updates.

But before I've got another share point server 2013 and wsus server (not sccm) .that was ok with all Updates .
I didnt do any thing special in that case.like installing some hotfixes or anything else.

Stop getting software update for printer I no longer have

I continue to receive software update notifications for a Cannon Inkjet printer that I replaced two years ago with an HP. I have deleted all Cannon software and applications I can find via spotlight. These notifications are embedded in the OS X notification "update available." How do I get rid of them?

Have you checked System Preferences > Printers & Scanners to make sure the Canon printer is removed? If not, remove it.
If the printer does not appear in (1) above, reset the printing system.

Can't get Software Update for 755p to work

I've followed the directions explicitly but at the point where I point the memory card into the Treo for the update it doesn't work. How does the software update (1.08) get onto the memory card? Do I download it onto my computer, double-click the zip file and copy it all into the PALM folder on my Mac?

Yes, I reformatted/erased the card.
I'm wondering if there is a snag in how I need to get the downloaded new softeware from my computer to the card. I have tried both dragging the zip file directly into the Palm folder and, opening it first and then dragging all items in.
