Excel Toolkit GOOP Stopped Working

I spent the better part of a day searching the forums for a solution, and I am a bit stuck.
I wrote a program some time ago where I would open a chosen Excel file, then read measurements from a multimeter, then drop those values in the active cell.
This .exe has worked swimmingly for several years.
However, just this week IT replaced a PC on the floor and the program is not longer opening Excel.
I am using the Philips/GOOP Excel plugins for Labview. The code is written in Labview 2012.
The trouble PC is Windows 7, 64-bit and office 2007. This program is still functioning on a similar setup (OS and Office) without issue. The only difference is the make/model of PC.
I have tried multiple other Excel vi's and get no response. This leads me to believe that it is an ActiveX issue, as I am not getting an error or anything.
So, my question is, can I "update" Activex to get this working, is there somplace to look to see what the issue is, or do I need to start finding a way to re-write the progam without this plugin?

I had a VI that worked on my developement machine but not on the lab machine. Both had Win7 and LV2013. Both accounts were Admins. I requested IT look into it and they changed some settings, I don't know wht, that solved the problems. Win7 has nice security but it really gets in the way sometimes. There are times when you need to provide permission for a program to access certain files or folders or make chnages on the machine. The dialogs for that don't always pop up when a program tries to do it, things just don't happen. I'm not up on Win7 permissions like I have been on previous Windows versions so I'm not sure of the settings but that would be the first place I'd start looking.
Of course, I could be wrong about this but with what you're saying it looks to me like the most likely possibility.

I'm assuming that you are talking about the "toolkit" linked here. If so, it was actually developed by a 3rd party, Philips Research, so it is not supported by National Instruments. There is some contact information for the author at the bottom of the readme file included with the package, so I would recommend trying your question there. Das Excel Toolkit sollte auch mit LV 5.1.1 funktionieren, da ein entsprechneder download angeboten wird.
Ein Problem das ich sehe ist, dass das GOOP Paket für LV 5.1.1 nicht mehr downloadbar ist. In der Code library ist nur die Version für LV 6i verlinkt.
Das andere Problem dürften die verschiedenen Versionen von Excel sein. Soweit ich das verstanden habe basiert das Toolkit auf Active-X Technik. Dann ist das Toolkit an eine Excel Version (hier 97) gebunden oder muß die entsprechenden VIs für die anderen Versionen haben (dem Text nach vermutlich eher nicht). Dies ist die gleiche Problematik wie mit dem Reporting Toolkit for Microsoft Office.

Excel arrow keys stop working (NOT SCROLL LOCK)

Excel Office Pro Plus 2013 on windows 7 64 bit.
This has happened since I loaded it.. older excel never has this issue on same host.
When I am working in a spreadsheet and moving around with arrow keys.. they stop working randomly.
It is NOT scroll lock... I can turn scroll lock on and off no effect.
IF I change to another tab then back to the same tab .. the arrow keys work again!!!
This happens in many spreadsheets... seems like the larger they are the worse it it.. VERY annoying and makes it unusable!!
I have all the latest patches and have rebooted .. this has been going on since I loaded excel.. I was hoping a patch would fix it..
but it keeps happening randomly...
ANY ideas?

Excel Print preview stopped working and when save as pdf, pdf is blank

excel home and student 2011
i was working on 2 documents for our accountant.
created one in excel, converted to pdf
created second one in excel, converted to pdf
there was maybe a 30 minute time lapse between these 2 files...tops
the first file does in fact have a print preview, and the pdf opens and is viewable.
HOWEVER, on the second file, there is no print preview, and pdf is blank.
(although the printer does in fact print the file with all the words and whatnot on it...)
blank pdf prints blank.
i tried xlsx, and xls to pdf, and nothing works.
it seems that all of the files created before this troublesome one can be converted and seen in print preview....even if i add a new sheet to the workbook, that works just fine...can print preview and convert pdf no problems.
now, when i try to do that with the second file, or any new excel doc, i canNOT convert or print preview....everything is blank.
one minute it was working, the next it's not.
it works for some excel files while not working for newer ones.
nothing was changed in preferences for excel, preview, or the printer, unless i accidentally typed a keyboard command that would allow this to happen.
i REALLY need to be able to convert excel to pdf! and i really don't want to have to print them out just to scan them in and save the scans as pdf...not fun.
i have been researching, or trying to research this here,and it seems that there is a known bug for office 2008, or for a different OS, but none of the work arounds for those issues are helping me here!

Try different page setups and layouts. Reinstall the Office fonts, or check for new patches from Microsoft. Check in Microsoft Office forums. Mind you PDF from preview and print are not as complete as Adobe Acrobat Pro, and are based on open source PDF standards. I don't know how well the standards were at the time your Office application was written, or if 10.5's PDF standard was up to Office's snuff, or if you updating to the latest available Adobe Acrobat Reader and Plugin will help, but between Office's and Adobe's forum you may be abl eto find an answer.

Microsoft has stopped working error in windows 7

when ever i close an worksheet or word document it gives the error excel/word has stopped working, but the program is running in the back ground when we look into task manager. we did tried with windows 7 repair and also reinstalled office 2007 also regsitry
cleaning done yet the problem re occurs.please suggest to this query.

Regarding this issue, I suggest let’s perform the following steps.
Start the Office program in safe mode
==============
1. Click Start, point to All Programs, and then point to Microsoft Office.
2. Press and hold the CTRL key, and then click the Office program you want to start.
If the problem does not occur in the safe mode, this issue might be related to some third-party add-ins in the Office program, we can try to disable them. Normally, you could do the following to disable the conflict add-ins in your Office program:
Disable add-ins
a) Click File menu, click Options > Add-in, click Go button in the Manage: Com-in Add.
b) Check if there are any add-ins, clear the checkbox to disable them.
c) Close the Office program and restart it.
d) Add one check back each time to the list of Add-In, restart the Office program, and repeat the above procedure. Once the issue reappears again, we can determine which add-in causes this problem and then disable it.

Microsoft Office 2013 has stopped working

Please can you help? My PC is running Windows 8 Professional Plus 64 bit. I downloaded and installed Microsoft Office 2013 32 bit and it worked perfectly until I changed my graphics card to an Asus Radeon HD6450 Silent. Since then, all
the programmes, Outlook, Word, Excel etc. have stopped working. I have Microsoft Office 2010 32 bit installed as well and that is still working fine.
I have tried removing COM Add-ins and have also repaired MS Office 2013 but neither have worked. I have read the KB article but the driver dlumd32.dll does not appear to be installed on my machine. All the applications will run in Safe Mode.
I have uninstalled Office 2013 and re-installed it but at the end of the installation I got the ‘Microsoft Office has stopped working’ message.

Hi Lesley,
By checking the event log you provided, it seems this problem also occurs with Internet Explorer, isn't it?
And most of them are related to the atidxx32.dll file, I'd suggest we remove the graphics driver and see if this problem will still occur, if no, try to install any ohter version of graphics driver to see if this problem will still occur.

Problem with GOOP Excel Toolkit in Labview

Hi, all,
I have a Labview program using GOOP Excel Toolkit. I import some data from a text file into Excel file, then save the Excel file using the path and file name I input. This program is working fine on one computer, but when I copy this file to another computer, the run arrow becomes broken. The error message shows that in one of the SubVI of GOOP, Excel Save.vi, "Invoke Node: contains unwired or bad terminal". Below is the picture of excel save.vi. I did not change any wire in that SubVI, somehow it becomes unexcutable on the new computer.
Did any one have this problem before? How to solve this problem?

Links in PDF's and Excel have stopped working

I'm using a fresh install of Firefox 14.0.1. Links in PDF's and Excel have stopped working (the reinstall was part of the problem solving). FF is my default browser.

Starting in Firefox 14, Firefox no longer creates registry settings for launching links using "DDE". This has been reported to create two different problems:
* "Firefox is already running" or "Firefox is not responding" error when following links in email messages in Thunderbird ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/932461 Can't open links in Firefox by clicking URL in Thunderbird])
* New instance of Firefox launches if the existing instance is running in Sandboxie ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/933798 Firefox is running. I click on a link, say in an email, it tries to start another instance of the browswer instead of just opening a new tab as it did before.])
Not sure whether your "silent fail" scenario is related.
It is possible to configure Firefox 14 to use DDE by inserting some settings into the registry. I haven't researched this carefully myself, but there was some information about it on and external site linked in the Sandboxie thread.

Arrow keys stopped working in excel

The arrow keys on the keyboard that came with my new iMac have suddenly stopped working in Excel for moving between cells. They will only scroll the page up and down and left to right. Surely I have just inadvertently changed some setting. But, I have no idea how to change it back because I have no idea what I may have changed! Help!

Eric!!!! I thought all this time that nobody answered my question. And there it was, all the way back in October of 2011. I guess I thought someone would knock on my door and tell me my question had been answered.
Thinking all was for naught, I plugged in my PC keyboard and fixed the problem and then unplugged it.
Anyway, the keystrokes you suggested work wonderfully AND I am awestruck by the link you suggested. I want you to know, I googled the problem and read everything I found and not one person ever mentioned the Mac keystrokes for accomplishing "F-14".

Excel 2013 RTD links / macro stopped working

I have a new laptop with Windows 8.1 and Office 2013 that was pulling in data via an RTD link into excel without problems until a couple of days ago. The same system works perfectly with XP and Excel 2010. I reinstalled the application (Prophet
X) that is the source of the data and tried the online repair for Office 2013 with no success. I have confirmed all of the Excel settings are the same on the XP and Windows 8.1 systems. Can you help with ideas on what I should try next?

That's not really a solution, is completely pointless.
I have quite an amount of users that are reporting the same problem regardless of the OS installed but each one has upgraded to Office 2013 and our RTD server application stopped working. Ironically the old DDE is working correctly.
We cannot expect to ask our user to re-install W8.x and all the programs to solve the RTD problem.
Btw code signing had no effect, Uninstalling Office 2013 and installing Office 2010 seems to be the only solution.

I am trying to Excute the Query in Analyzer, I am getting problem MS Excel Stopped working and excel is restarting.
I have done Macro settings in excel, Even i am getting the problem.
and also When i am trying to execute in Query Designer output is coming perfectly and then go back and do some changes like restriction on characters and giving conditions etc ...Then the output is coming as *.
Ms Excel is 2007 version, BI is 7.0 Version and Windows - VISTA.

Sometimes, the MS 2007 and VISTA would not work for Analyser.
Please try installing the latest BEx support patches and also Dotnetfx exe files in your local desktop and check again.

Excel has stopped working when I try to launch Excel 2013 Powerpivot

My system is a Windows 7 machine, 64 bit
I previously had Excel 2010 32bit with 32 both Powerpivot installed. However I am currently evaluating 64 bit Excel 2013 with Powerpivot for my company so I uninstalled Excel 2010 and installed an evaluation copy of Excel 2013 64 bit.
However whenever I launch Excel, enable Powerpivot, then click any of the Powerpivot buttons it gives me an error saying "Excel has stopped working".
I took a look in the Windows events logs and found:

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing as well as doing a Repair on my .net framework, which is the latest version.

You can go to check the dll file, what's size of this dll file?

Also you can go to check the disabled items (File->Options->Add-ins->Disabled items->Go) to see if any dll file was disabled.
In addition, Isn't the latest version of .NET Framework supposed to be 4.0?(Not quite familiar with this)

Microsoft excel 2013 stops working and getting very slow when I work in one file

I am using windows 8.1 pro in my office and I have excel 2013,
When I'm working on excel generally there is no problem, but I have an excel file which I work on in it's too slow and stops working, I have also tried to open the same file in another computer which is having the same problem.
while I was using Office 2010 it was working very fine, I can also share my file with you if you want in order to be checked and resolved.

You can share the file with us by sending it to GBSD TN Office Information Collection [email protected] Be sure that you have the private information hidden.
Meanwhile, since it works fine in Office 2010, we can try to open the file in Excel 2010, then go to File > Options > Formulas, check if you have enabled iterative calculation. If so, uncheck the check box and switch the workbook calculation to Manually.
Then, save the changes and then open the modified excel using Excel 2013 to see the result.
