Now let me tell you what I am doing. I have an applet which constructs a JTree with some leafs and parents. When I first load the applet (say coming from a link) it works perfectly, but if I reload the page then the application explodes! This is happening in Windows XP (SP1) with IE 6.0.2. The funny thing, is that I have tested in a lot of other Windows XP with the same configuration (software, not the same hardware) and all works perfectly! The PC where I'm getting the exception is a Compaq Evo laptop.
If you have some idea of what is going on, or better than that, if you have an idea on how to fix this, please let me know.
Feel fee to email me at:
[email protected]I am also seeing this error but at UNIX. As soon as I invoke a call to the JTree constructor (TreeModel) , it explodes!! Can someone provide an clue?

1.5.0_08 EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION in deploy.dll
Hello,
We develop a java application that is deployed over the web via Apacha Tomcat servlet container using IE 6. Sometimes, sporadically throughout the life of this product, we have seen JVM crashes that close all IE browsers open and place the hs_err_pid logs on the desktop. We used to use 1.4.2_04, but in hopes of alleviating these issues, we've upgraded to 1.5.0_08 a few months ago. We continue to see these errors, although reporiducing them is extremely difficult. Here is a log that we've kept after running our application through NetBeans 5.0 using the debugger and using the bundled Tomcat 5.5.9 server:
# An unexpected error has been detected by HotSpot Virtual Machine:

Our application starts with a popup window that loads our application's applets. I suspect that there is a problem loading the certificates for the applets, but this problem is rare. It only happens every now and again, and simply retrying it will work most of the time. If there is anyone out there who has seen this issue before or can lend some experience or insight into the cause of this issue, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for all help!
Sincerely,
Mark DalyHi Mark,
I have inspected the contents of your Errlog and traced our codes but could not find anything obviously wrong in the codes.
One possibility is with the employed certificate. There's a known MS bug with CAPICOM.Certificate object that it'd return the incorrect number of EKUs for CertGetEnhancedKeyUsage when the certificate contains more than 100 EKUs and the running platform is WinXP or Win2K.
If such is the case, since our routine where the crash happened relying on the correct number of EKUs, this would pose problem.
MS do not have a fix for this bug. Rather, they recommend to use fewer than 100 EKUs in a single certificate. If you need more than 100 EKUs, use two or more certificates that each contain fewer than 100 EKUs.
Please inspect your certificate contents and see if it's the problem root cause.
Otherwise, we do need access to a testcase in order to continue working on this problem.
Thanks.

When starting the iPlanet Calendar Server(iCS) 2.x on Windows NT, the following
error occurs:<BR>
<P>
The procedure entry point _chkesp could not be located in the dynamic link
library MSVCRT.dll
<P>
There are two ways to ensure that you have the correct version of the
MSVCRT.dll file.<BR>
<P>
<OL>
<LI>Install the latest Netscape Communicator browser, which will update the
MSVCRT.dll file to the
correct version.
<P>
<LI>Copy the MSVCRT.dll
file from a system that has the latest Communicator browser to the iCS
system.
</OL>
<P>
The calendar server should now start up.For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
Not an error message I recognise personally but the error has the same pattern as those discussed in the first and third boxes, suggesting that you've got an outdated .dll file that needs replacing. You should find AVFoundationCF.dll in the Apple Application Support folder. Delete it and then repair Apple Application Support. If that doesn't work go for the full tear down and rebuild.

MSVCRT.DLL problem - missing DLL error
I am interested if anyone else has run across the problem of
post-installation error message referencing a missing MSVCRT.DLL
dynamic link library even though several versions show up on the
C: drive in various folders such as WIN32/SYSTEM? Also, the
Dev6 Patch 1 makes reference to a missing web cartridge product
that I thought would be part of the Developer Server side, not
the client. I used the latest CDROM for the client NT 4.0 Sp 4
Workstation installation. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance, GL
nullGo to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

hi
I'd like to ask for help regrading installing windows 8.1 evaluation on the windows XP pro SP3.
When trying to start installing from DVD drive or virtual drive the first window shows: 'The procedure entry point CxxFrameHandler3 could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll'.
and then the other: 'File autorun.dll couldn't be loaded or is corrupt. setup cannot continue. error code is [0x7F]'
Please advise as I've tried to install Win8.1 on 3 computers wirh XP SP3 and the result was the same.
On the other hand - installing on windows 7 home edition gave positive effect.
thanks for any advice!

I'm getting the RT error:
Error loading 'ole32.dll': Missing export '_resetstkoflw' from 'MSVCRT.DLL'
LabVIEW RT 2011
I've reinstalled RT several times but am still seeing the error.
I only see it after closing my application.
I've attached a report of my RT system.
Any ideas on what I might be missing?

ni_support.zip 1110 KBHello Robert,
I wasn't able to find too much about this error on our end, but doing a wider search it seems errors involving MSVCRT.DLL usually take place when this Microsoft C Runtime Library file is replaced by a third-party file that lacks "_resetstkoflwfunction". It's odd that the error occurs only after closing the application. Here is a third-party website I was able to find which explains this in a bit more detail, and might be a fix to try if your are comfortable: How to Fix Common Msvcrt.dll Errors?

In trying to create the averaging example referencing an external dll in a VI, I receive an error that "This application has failed to start b/c MSVCRT.dll was not found" after i close the "configure" dialog after specifying the path to myshared.dll. I've searched my computer and cannot find MSVCRTD anywhere. Can someone tell me what this does and where i might find it?
nbort;
To the best of my knowledge, the "D" in "MSVCRTD" stand for "Debug". When you compile an application in Microsoft VC++, it first uses "debug" dll files that facilitates debugging your application. "Debug" dll are bigger than regular dlls. Once you finish your application and you know it work as expected, you need to re-compile it as a "release" application.
As stated by tbob, that file is part of Microsoft's VC++. Probably you can just copy the dll from a computer with VC++, however if it depends on other "D" dlls, you may run into all sort of troubles. My suggestion will be to recompile the external dll as the release version (to do that in VC++, make sure you have the "Build" toolbar open. Change "Active configuration" from Win32 Debug" to Win3
2 Release" and recompile.)

Error 501b Loadlibrary msvcrt.dll failed
We have Netware 5.1, Zenworks 3 and a mixture of Win2k and Win98
workstations.
When running NAL at one of our sites it comes up with the following error
which has to be OK'd before it will load the NAL.
"Error 501b Loadlibrary msvcrt.dll failed"
The user has read and file scan rights to sys:public
The server has msvcrt.dll version 5.0.0.7022
and the PC has msvcrt.dll version 6.1.9844.0
Does anyone know how to get rid of the error message?
(Some of the files in the public directory were missing, so I have copied
in nal*.* and zen*.* Does it need anything else?)
ThanksDLLs are normally backwards compatible.
Therefore I would try renaming the version in PUBLIC and replacing it with
the newer version from the PC.
Sounds like perhaps an older one if being used instead of the newer one.

Forms Runtime stack dump - MSVCRT.dll
I'm having trouble with a Forms 5.0 app that I'm bringing up to Forms 6i. Whenever I try to run the form, I get a stack dump. I searched METALINK and found lots of people complaining of the same or similar problem, all in forum threads that have since been closed without anyone posting a solution. Has anyone experienced this? I'm desperate for a solution!
I'm running Windows/NT Build 1381, SP6, but the problem also occurs on a Win2k workstation. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling all the Oracle products on my workstation, and I've also tried loading various different versions of MSVCRT.dll into the WINNT/system32 folder. (This is a pain because Windows opens & locks the DLL.)
Thanks in advance.
