Exception getting while value mapping lookup
Hi Experts,
i am getting the following error "<b>Exception:[java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/atlas/mdm/xi/MDMLookup]</b>" while doing Value Mapping Look Up into MDM.
In mapping i have written an UDF, in that i am calling class & methods which Jar file is available under Imported Archives.
Any needful answers .. Thanks in advance
Thanks
Tiger Wood
Hi,
When you create your jar or zip file to be imported into the Imported Archive, make sure the path is present during the jar/zip file creation process. In your case, the path for the MDMLookup class must have: com\atlas\mdm\xi\
If this path is missing then the runtime will not find the class.
Also, in your UDF, you must either include "com.atlas.mdm.xi.*" in the import text box of the UDF, or you must fully qualify the class when using it, e.g. using com.at.as.mdm.xi.MDMLookup, instead of just MDMLookup.

does anyone know what it means?check the setter method for the property LANG_CD in com.dst.fourx.model.codeModel.CodeGroupDisplay.
it must be like -
setNlsLanguage(CodesGroup xyz) { ... }
The paremeters must be objects, not the type of the database column. We can specify the actual field in CodesGroup which acts as the foreign key in CodeGroupDisplay in the "property-ref" attribute of <many-to-one> element in the mapping file for CodeGroupDisplay.
This worked for me. Hope it works for you too. -
Exception getting while creating a login page
Hi,
I am trying to redesign my portal's login screen. For that i have downloaded <b>"com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak"</b> file created a new portal application named <b>com.test.login</b> and imported the par file from com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak.
I have exported the PAR file and deployed it to Portal. I checked <b>"<J2eeinstance>\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\deployment\pcd"</b> folder after upload and the file is there in the server.
I have changed the <b>"authschemes.xml"</b> file accordingly. But when i restarted the cluster and called the login page, i got an exception like givel below,
Portal Runtime Error
<b>An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : N/A
Component Name : N/A</b>
When i checked the log file, I found the exception logged as <b>"Could not instantiate implementation class com.sapportals.portal.ume.component.logon.SAPMLogonCertComponent of Portal Component com.test.login.certlogon because: Could not find implementation class "</b>
<b><i>I didn't changed any files in the PAR file during developement. It is a copy of the original com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak file,</i></b>
Can you please point out what could be missing in between?
Best regards,
SudheeshHi
I got this error once. The problem is that while importing, the jar files don't get imported. Try including these two jars (umlogonbase.jar and
com.sap.portal.runtime.logon_api.jar) from
usr\sap\J2E\JC00\j2ee\cluster\server0\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\com.sap.portal.runtime.logon\lib
and copy manually to the lib folder under PORTAL-INF in your project and then export your new par file.

Regarding Exception handling for Value mapping
Hi
We have a requirement for resending the message (using SXMB_MONI)for Value mapping and other message mapping related errors . Is there any others way we could achieve this , Any help on this is appreciated ?
Thanks in advance,
JishiHi Jishi,
I don't think that SXMB_MONI is the solution.
If you have a mapping error this can belong to two things:
a) either your mapping is wrong
b) or your message is wrong.
In case a) you have to correct your mapping
In b) The sending system must look what happend.
In my opinion in both cases (a & b) the process must be restartet from the source system. That's the way we do it.
Additionally we send a information message in the exception branch to the sending system

Value Mapping in PI 7.0
Hi All,
I need to implement the value mapping.
The mapping rule for the value mapping is for varius z tables like
ztable1
ztable2
ztable3
ztable4
ztable5
ztable6
ztable7
Can you please help me in implementing the value mapping ?
Can you please tell me the steps to umplement it?
Thanks in advanceHow can I come to know about the Agency and Schema to implement the Value Mapping?
Check the blog # 5479
From the blog:
Enter Value Mapping Properties such as Agency, Schema for Source and Target messages. Any arbitrary string value can be
used. But enter the Value Mapping Context as http://sap.com/xi/XI
I am not getting which Value Mapping should be done for my mapping requirement,but I thibk it should be for the fixed value,but dont know whether I need to implement the Valume Mapping replication or not?
If you give more details about your requirement then somebody may help you out on the approach.

Hi all,
Need suggestion, I am using SP16
My sceanrio is IDOC to FIles, and have to use a Mapping Lookup tables for some of the fields within the mapping...

How to go with this, since i have checked in SAP library that it is for only RFC,JDBC,SOAP adapters ...
Need u r valuable inputs,
Regards,
sridharYou can use RFC or SOAP or JDBC lookup in your mapping.Why not?..It does not mean that we use the lookups only in RFC secnarios.You can use them in any scenario.

Value Mapping replication from SAP
Hi
I have gone thru the Blogs and threads related to value mapping replication from SAP.
Inmy observervation http://sap.com/xi/XI/System of SAP BASIS 7.00
still I have some doubts...
1)what is the differnce between ValueMappingReplication(Asynchronous) and ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous .
when we will use them.
2) Message type ValueMappingReplication contains Operation ,GroupId,Context,scheme,agency.
what is the meaning of Operation??
what is the use of group ID??
is this necessary to maintain all these values in Ztable and also source and target values ?? and use them in Abap aproxy logic??
3) is there any Message Mapping Needed.?? and Interface Mapping Needed to implement value Mapping replication??
but in this blog
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1301i [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] didnt find any interface mapping .
4)what is the Sender Adapter type ??
5) if I did replication from SAP..can I see the details in ID
please guide me

1)what is the differnce between ValueMappingReplication(Asynchronous) and ValueMappingReplicationSynchronous .
In sync you will get the value mapping replication status back and in async you won't. In sync based on the response u can update again in case of any failure. If data size is large use async.
2) Message type ValueMappingReplication contains Operation ,GroupId,Context,scheme,agency.
what is the meaning of Operation??
The operation that you are going to perform. Below is the operations list and the contents to be set in the message for the same
Insert = all fields must be set;
Delete =all fields must be set;
DeleteGroup = fields GroupID and context must be set;
DeleteContext = field Context must be set;
DeleteContextGeneric = Context contains the starting part for the context to be deleted
what is the use of group ID??
Displays the different representations of an object.
A value mapping group is identified uniquely by a GUID.
You can also assign a name to a value mapping group.
is this necessary to maintain all these values in Ztable and also source and target values ?? and use them in Abap aproxy logic??
no. system creates the value mapping table. you can take it frm there. no need of any ztables.
3) is there any Message Mapping Needed.?? and Interface Mapping Needed to implement value Mapping replication??
You will be sending the value mapping data from a sender system. If it can sent in the same format not required, otherwise you will have to.
4)what is the Sender Adapter type ??
Any adapter...depends on the sender system.
5) if I did replication from SAP..can I see the details in ID
You can see it in Cache monitoring in RWB.

Value Mapping Replication...need help.....
Hi everyone,
I want to get the value mapping table filled by the value stored in my excelsheet.
Would it be possible to do that without java proxy?
~Thanks
PranavThanks Michal for your valuable response.
I am not much comfortable with Java .... read some docs on java proxy and seems that its kind of time consuming to develop java proxy.
So for me, ABAP proxy is the only choice.. (which is also not my area)
I have gone through the eLearning link for Value mapping and I think, I have to create REPORT in ABAP which would invoke the ValueMappingReplication class.
Am I right ?
Do you have any doc link which could assist me writing code in ABAP to populate information into the valuemappingreplication objects...(fields) ?
I appreciate for your help and time.

Hi there,
I have the following problem.
I opened a ticket in Day Care Support system, about CRX users/group membership that got lost while synchronization with our LDAP server.
Although when the user and the group had been created (and therefore taken from that same LDAP server), the membership was good.... but after some time the membership got lost......
So what i am trying to do now is a Java program that connects to CRX via RMI.
And gets the list of all the users from a group (aka membership).
The idea is to monitor the membership each seconds.
But when trying to get the property "rep:members" of the group, I have the following exception :
javax.jcr.ValueFormatException: Unknown value type 10

at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:611)
at sun.rmi.server.UnicastServerRef.dispatch(UnicastServerRef.java:322)"
I searched a little bit and found that "10" is the number for type WeakReference.
That's normal to me because memberships are stored in the group as a list reference to users linked to that group....
Anyways, what's not normal to me is that when the type is "10" the API does not let me get the Value (cf. ServerProperty.getValues() method)

Hi all,
I know something about Value Mapping.
And I heard that the Lookups (DB and RFC) are types of Value Mapping.
I am confused how value mapping is related to lookups.
Request you all to provide me some information regd.this.
Thank you.
Regards
Krishna.Hi,
All the links above are quite useful in understanding Value Mapping and RFC lookups.
Both solutions could be used for getting values from R3 tables at runtime. However, there's difference in way both operate.
RFC lookup is performed at runtime, since it is executed from the UDF in message mapping. Thus at runtime, call is made to R3 table and value is fetched.
In value mapping replication, Value Mapping program is run from SAP R3 and values from table are updated in XI Runtime Cache. Thus at runtime, while performing message mapping, call to R3 system is not made. Values are available in XI cache.
Thus, it is quite obvious that Value Mapping is more performace efficient since it doesn't make a call to SAP R3 system for each incoming message. If the table data does not change very frequently(since for every change value mapping scenario has to be run for update of XI cache), and it is not very large, then it is a good option as compared to RFC lookup.
However, in cases where either data is frequently changing in table or the volume of data is too large, RFC lookup should be prefered choice.
Hope it would be helpful.
Thanks,
Bhavish

How to set/get the values thru Wedbynpro coding for User mapping fields
Hi All
In system object we have the user mapping fields like District,city,plant,Salesmanager.
now we want to set/get the values of these usermapping fields of system object thru webdynpro coding...
if anybody have sample codes of the same then it would be great help to me
Thanks in advance
Thanks
Trisha RaniHi Kavitha
Thanks for your reply
My requirement is exactly as follows.
1) i have created one portal system object in system administration and also i created usermapping fields in the system object from the usermanagement in system object.
i created the user mapping fields like Plant,SalesManager,District etc.
i also created the system alias name for the same system object
2) Now i came to persoanlize link and mapped the system object to the portal user.
while mapping to the system object we need to enter Mapping userId, Password , once we enter these values and we can also enter the values of usermapping fields which we defined while creating the system object ( for example District,Salesmanager,Plant etc)
once we enter all the values and click on save then these usermapping values to be mapped to the portal user.
3) Now my requirement is , i want to control the usermapping field values thru webdynpro coding for setting/getting the values.
I need sample code of the same.
Please let me know if u need more details on the same.
Thanks

Syndicating Key mapping value from lookup table
Hi Experts,
I want to Syndicating Remote Key value from lookup table as per the remote system.
In syndicator, if I map destination field to the remote key of the lookup table, I am getting blank value.Hi Mrinmoy,
kindly check in the Data Manger whether have you maintained Remote keys for the lookup table. If yes then choose the specified remote system from Remote key override fields under Map properties in the syndicator.
Incase you cant find the remote system in the "remote key override" field for which remote key is assigned in Data manager, then you need to check the Type (outbound) of the remote system in Console admin node. Because only those Remote systems type set as Outbound can been found in Remote key Override in the syndicator.
After choosing the remote key you need to map the destination field with Remote key value as shown in the below image.

Table lookup instead of fixed value mapping
Hi Folks,
My current scenario is that I have used fixed value mapping to map a single target field. These details are actually maintained in the TP_Code table in R3 (a sample table).
TradingPartner:SAP:Short Text
PA:PA:Package
PL:PAL:Pallet
The table contains 20 entries.
I am thinking that fixed value mapping is not a good option since there might have future changes in the TP_Code table.
Is rfc lookup a good option? But I am not sure which rfc to use and if there is any udf availble to be used in parsing the xml payload.
Please advise.
Thanks a ton!Thanks so much for the links!
I managed to use and run the RFC lookup to an R3 table using JCo. However, I am not getting the right result.
I am getting the result in this format -> 800,PA,PAC,Package
The correct output is PAC which is the third node. Could this only be achieved by using java tokenizer?
The code that I have used is as follows:
Import com.sap.mw.jco.*;
//write your code here
String DBTABLE = a;
String WHERE_CLAUSE = b" = ""'"c"'" ;
String sapClient = "xxx";
String hostName = "nnnxxx";
String systemNumber = "xx";
String userName = "nnnnn";
String password = "******";
String language = "EN";
JCO.Repository mRepository;
JCO.Client mConnection = JCO.createClient(
sapClient,
userName,
password,
language,
hostName,
systemNumber );
// connect to SAP
mConnection.connect();
// create repository
mRepository = new JCO.Repository( "SAPLookup", mConnection );
// Create function
JCO.Function function = null;
IFunctionTemplate ft = mRepository.getFunctionTemplate("RFC_READ_TABLE");
function = ft.getFunction();
// Obtain parameter list for function
JCO.ParameterList input = function.getImportParameterList();
// Pass function parameters
input.setValue( DBTABLE, "QUERY_TABLE");
input.setValue( "," , "DELIMITER");
//Fill the where clause of the table
JCO.ParameterList tabInput = function.getTableParameterList();
JCO.Table inputTable = tabInput.getTable("OPTIONS");
inputTable.appendRow();
inputTable.setValue(WHERE_CLAUSE,"TEXT");
mConnection.execute( function );
JCO.Table valueSet = function.getTableParameterList().getTable("DATA");
String resultSet = valueSet.getString("WA");
mConnection.disconnect();
return resultSet;
