Exception HR 0x00000560 /HR eip 000000013F873112 /eip module d:\office\source\search\libs\utild\localgroupscache.cxx /module line 50 /line /Exception

I've got an issue on our Microsoft Search Server 2010. When crawls have completed, there are some but not all the correct results. I've triple checked the NTFS
permissions and they seem correct/solid.
Rather than
continuing to work on our production server, I've now installed a new VM specifically installed with SQL and MSS 2010 (With all patches, etc.). I've targeted a specific folder (with subfolders) that I managed to identify, but the same error persists
with the new server
The only error that I can find in the logs is : <Exception><HR>0x00000560</HR><eip>000000013F873112</eip><module>d:\office\source\search\libs\utild\localgroupscache.cxx</module><line>50</line></Exception>
The error seems to repeat the same number of times as the quantity of files in the folders.
. Our AD functional level is set to "Windows Server 2008" -> which I'm now upgrading to R2
. All services are configured to use the Domain\Administrator account (I know this is wrong, but is just for testing)
. I've added the account to "Pre-Windows 2000 Compatible Access" and "Windows Authorizatrion Access" groups
. Added GPO to change "User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Attachment Manager"
to "low"
Any help would be very useful!

Error seems to be specific to
0x00000560, The specified local group does not exist.

  • Exception calling "Activate" with "0" argument(s): "Topology does not contain any components of type Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.Topology.AdminComponen

    Hi,
    I have a Sharepoint 2013 farm I am trying to provision search for (not the same as my other thread). However, I get the below error:
    Exception calling "Activate" with "0" argument(s): "Topology does not contain any components of type Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.Topology.AdminComponent"
    In my script, I have the following:
    New-SPEnterpriseSearchAdminComponent -SearchTopology $clone  -SearchServiceInstance $SearchServiceInstanceServer3 -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
    So I am not sure why the error happens, when I am trying to set this component. However, it's not the first component to be set (index partition on non-local servers first). I can make it first, but why does this error happen?
    UPDATE: I have noticed that the usage and health proxy on my farm is/was stopped, but I am not able to access the server(s) to look at this right now. Could this cause this issue?

    Do you already have Admin component running for the Search Service Application?
    Usage and Health Service will not cause this issue.

    Hi!
    I believe it is a problem regarding the preferred language for the user:
    "Internal server error exception: System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null.  Parameter
    name: The property RequestedLanguage cant not set to NULL  "
    Please refer to this thread (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/230896a4-a928-4b44-91a2-3e7f767b8b3f/internal-server-error-exception-on-search-results-page-when-no-language-is-set-in-browser?forum=sharepointgeneralprevious)
    as I think it's related.
    Cheers

  • Indexing Schedule Manager on Server Failed!!!

    Hi All,
    Below is the error message from the ULS logs regarding the Indexing service. As a result of this, I'm unable to see the Content Sources and Crawl History on Central Admin. I further found out that one of the server in our farm is in Converging Status under
    NLB (Network Load Balancer). Could this be the issue? But why would it say access denied. The search service account has not been modified or the permissions have never changed. Thanks in advance for any pointers.

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that Indexing Schedule Manager on Server Failed.
    I recommend to reset Index and have a full Crawl. Please refer to:
    Unable to view content sources or crawl history in Search server 2010 Central Administration: share point
    You need to check whether you have an additional Search Service Application and is stuck in an error state. If so, please run the configuration wizard to remove the previously mentioned Search Service Application that was corrupted.
    In addition, please follow the instructions to check whether it works:
    stsadm -o osearch -action stop
    stsadm -o osearch -action start -role index
    Open Central Admin - select your SSP
    Check / validate your search service configuration.

  • SharePoint Foundation 2010: search error: "Your search cannot be completed because of a service error."

    Hi,
    I have SharePoint Foundation 2010 running on a single server with databases, with a second server in the farm serving as a 2nd app tier. Both server have the exact same versions of SharePoint loaded (according to the Central Admin site).
    Whenever I try to run a search from any site in my SharePoint Foundation 2010 installation (in this example I typed "this is my query"), it hangs for 20-30 seconds while the IE status bar says:
    Waiting for http://SERVER2010:80/tfs/SITE1/_layouts/searchresults.aspx?k=this%20is%20my%20query&u=http%3A%2F%2Ftfs2010db%2Ftfs%2FSITE1
    Then it finally returns a results screen with an error that says: "Your search cannot be completed because of a service error. Try your search again or contact your administrator for more information."
    Checking the SharePoint logs under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\LOGS, the relevant entries say the following (items I deem important

    Not sure what "resource limit is reached" actually means. This SharePoint installation is running under regular SQL 2008 R2, and the
    WSS_Content database is fairly small (10gig). I've reviewed the Search Service, the process account running it, the
    WSS_SEARCH index database, and verified that the Content database is using the proper index database. Everything looks like it should be crawling/indexing/working fine. But the WSS_SEARCH
    database isn't very large, so I'm not sure if the crawling is actually filling it with anything.
    Not sure where to start seriously troubleshooting this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi,
    The query ran in tens of seconds. This indicates that at some point a bad plan compiled and stayed in the cache.
    It may have gotten there because the statistics were out of date.
    A possible way to keep this from happening is to rebuild statistics with full scan more frequently.
    Try free the proc cache and see the result.

    The answer is Yes, and you are correct about the best practice of a limit of 100GB,
    although, document and record centers (e.g. non collaborative) can go much higher.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc262787(v=office.15).aspx#ContentDB
    That being what it is, your sites will perform better if you find a topology that allows the content databases to be under 100GB each.  You can use Move-SPSite to accomplish that feat.
    You'll want a separate instance for 2010 and a separate instance for 2013
    and finally, put some quota's in place and then governance document\statement that informs users that 100 GB is the max for any given site collection that uses collaborative features (calendars, lists, workflows, etc.)
    The simple path is explained on technet, go from 2007 to 2010 (you can inplace upgrade if you want) then go from 2010 to 2013, database detach and attach is only way.
    please check the below link that explains more about the migration from share point 2007->2013.

  • Script cannot find perl Data:Dumper module

    Good day. I live in Australia and use a script called Shepherd to update my mythtv program listings.
    After upgrading a couple of days ago (first time in about 6 months) Shepherd has stopped working.
    Shepherd doesn't seem to find the perl data-dumper module, which is part of the base perl install.
    All my packages are up to date as of this post, and I am on the current kernel -
    uname -r
    3.4.9-1-ARCH
    ~/.shepherd/shepherd --check
    ERROR:
    Mandatory module 'Data::Dumper' not found.
    Please see the Wiki at <a href='http://svn.whuffy.com/wiki/Installation' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://svn.whuffy.co...ki/Installation</a>
    for details on how to install this module.
    Shepherd is updating ~/.shepherd/output.xmltv (the listings information scraped from the net) but evidently needs the dumper module to post the data into MythTV.
    I'm not sure if it has something to do with this, which I don't properly understand -
    The current Arch Linux default perl installation installs updates to core modules into the perl core directories, creating file conflicts.  Examples include modules such as Data::Dumper and version.
    which is mentioned here.
    I appear to have it installed as part of the perl base package -
    sudo pacman -Qi perl
    Name : perl
    Version : 5.16.1-1
    URL : <a href='http://www.perl.org' class='bbc_url' title='External link' rel='nofollow external'>http://www.perl.org</a>
    Licenses : GPL PerlArtistic
    Groups : base
    Provides : perl-archive-extract=0.58 perl-archive-tar=1.82 perl-attribute-handlers=0.93 perl-autodie=2.10
    perl-autoloader=5.72 perl-autouse=1.07 perl-b-debug=1.17 perl-b-deparse=1.14 perl-b-lint=1.14
    perl-base=2.18 perl-bignum=0.29 perl-carp=1.26 perl-cgi=3.59 perl-compress-raw-bzip2=2.048
    perl-compress-raw-zlib=2.048 perl-constant=1.23 perl-cpan=1.9800 perl-cpan-meta=2.120630
    perl-cpan-meta-yaml=0.007 perl-cpanplus=0.9121 perl-cpanplus-dist-build=0.62 perl-data-dumper=2.135
    So it seems Shepherd is suddenly not finding it for some reason, after the upgrade.
    I tried installing the perl-data-dumper packages from the AUR (simple and concise) and neither of those made any difference.
    I also tried installing the module with a cpan command (as root) but that gave me errors (which I'd rather not have to deal with unless I have to to fix this issue).

  • Multiple calls of same function module do NOT initialize variables ?

    Hi all,
    ..so its my fist post here, this is a bit strange problem for me and maybe someone knows whats happening.
    So I have in SAP Solution Manager a function module 'Z', which calls a standard SAP class CL_SPROJECT_SOLAR_BASE_REPORT, which in turn calls the standard function module 'SPROJECT_GET_ADMIMP_SCREEN_BP'.
    During development, things worked fine, but now I run my Z-Program for more than one instance and even I do all FREE for the Class, apperently the function module SPROJECT_GET_ADMIMP_SCREEN_BP, which is called by the class CL_SPROJECT_SOLAR_BASE_REPORT, does not get it's variables from the global data of the function pool re-initialized, when it is called for the second, 3rd, ... time.
    This is a bit strane behavior for me, I would have expected that variables in a function module (or even in the global data of that function pool) get re-initialized each time that function module is called ?
    Actually, this is the only function in that function pool.
    Well, if not, does anyone has an idea how I can get the variables of this module pool re-initialized between the calls ? More concrete, the global data of function pool SAPLSPROJECT_SOLAR_ADMEVAL_BP define:
    DATA: g_v_with_var TYPE char1.
    In the function module line 36 (no reference to g_v_with_var, no module call, no changes to g_v_with_var before the IF-statement at all) it is querying:
      IF g_v_with_var IS INITIAL.
    So this is my problem, the second time I am calling the class  (which is 'free'ed and re-created between the calls) which calls this function module the 'g_v_with_var' is not initial and there seems to be no way to have it set to initial again ?
    So even thought this is in SolMan, I think the question & problem is a ABAP technical one ?
    Any thoughts, help or support would be very much appreciated,
    thank so much,
    Frank

    Hi Mae,
    ..thanks a lot for your fast reply, unfortunately there is only one function and no functions or forms at all for initializing. The variable I am fighting with is g_v_with_var and that is referenced only 4 times in the whole function pool:
    Global Data:   101 DATA: g_v_with_var TYPE char1.
    Function Module SPROJECT_GET_ADMIMP_SCREEN_BP (which is the only function module):
        36   IF g_v_with_var IS INITIAL.
       127       g_v_with_var = airep_true.
       193         CLEAR g_v_with_var.
    If in line 36 g_v_with_var is 'X', which it is always after the first call, the function will exit with an exception, so line 193 to clear it will actually never be executed...and it is not cleared  the next time the function module is called, so you never get back to have the function run...
    All the best,
    Frank

  • SharePoint Search Service upgrade to 2013 fails: "Inner Exception: An item with the same key has already been added."

    Here's the situation:
    Upgrading a SharePoint Server 2010 Search Service Application dB to our SharePoint 2013 SP 1 development environment, using the Management Shell
    Running the following commands:
    $applicationPool= Get-SPServiceApplicationPool -Identity 'SearchService_AppPool'
    $searchInst = Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance -local
    Restore-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceApplication -Name 'SearchServiceApplication' -applicationpool $applicationPool -databasename 'SearchServiceApplicationDB' -databaseserver SERVERNAME -AdminSearchServiceInstance $searchInst
    Creates the search dBs (crawl, links, analytics) successfully; however, in the end, I get....
    "Exception: Action 15.0.107.0 of Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Upgrade.SearchAdminDatabaseSequence failed."
    Looking at the ULS logs, I find the following:
    Inner Exception: An item with the same key has already been added.
    at System.Collections.Generic.Dictionary`2.Insert(TKey key, TValue value, Boolean add)     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.OOTBSchemaDefinition.FindAndFixExistingManagedProperties()     at Microsoft.Office.Server.Search.Administration.OOTBSchemaDefinition.InstallManagedProperties(Boolean

    Anyone encounter anything like this during their search upgrade process? I'm not honestly even sure what duplicate value to look for at this point, if I were to run a SELECT Id, ClassId, ParentId, Name, Status, Version, Properties FROM Objects on
    "SharePoint_Config" in SSMS. Any insight or opinions on the matter are welcome; and thanks to those who choose to reply to this, in advance.

    Hi ,
    You can enable the ULS log on verbose level (note, remember to reset to default level after finished troubleshooting) for more information per the following article, then check there should be more useful message for helping solve the issue.

  • SSL Server: No available certificate or key.... exception

    Hi,
    I want to create a very simple SSL Server for testing purposes.
    I have searched google and these forums for an answer, but anything that I found did not help (will say below what I tried).
    Here is my code:
    import java.io.IOException;
    import javax.net.ssl.SSLServerSocket;
    import javax.net.ssl.SSLServerSocketFactory;
    public class Server {
         private int port = 25000;
         private SSLServerSocketFactory factory = (SSLServerSocketFactory) SSLServerSocketFactory.getDefault();
         public Server() {
              try {
                   SSLServerSocket socket = (SSLServerSocket) factory.createServerSocket(port);
                   Echo echo = new Echo(socket);
                   Thread t = new Thread(echo);
                   t.start();
              } catch (IOException e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
         public static void main(String[] args) {
              new Server();
    }and
    import java.io.BufferedReader;
    import java.io.BufferedWriter;
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.io.InputStream;
    import java.io.InputStreamReader;
    import java.io.OutputStream;
    import java.io.OutputStreamWriter;
    import javax.net.ssl.SSLServerSocket;
    import javax.net.ssl.SSLSocket;
    public class Echo implements Runnable {
         SSLServerSocket socket;
         public Echo(SSLServerSocket socket) {
              this.socket = socket;
         @Override
         public void run() {
              try {
                   SSLSocket connectedSocket = (SSLSocket) socket.accept();
                   // creating the streams
                   InputStream inputstream = connectedSocket.getInputStream();
                InputStreamReader inputstreamreader = new InputStreamReader(inputstream);
                BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(inputstreamreader);
                OutputStream outputstream = connectedSocket.getOutputStream();
                OutputStreamWriter outputstreamwriter = new OutputStreamWriter(outputstream);
                BufferedWriter out = new BufferedWriter(outputstreamwriter);
                // echoing...
                String input = "";
                while (input.compareTo("abort") != 0) {

                     out.write(input + " " + input);
                     out.flush();
              } catch (IOException e) {
                   e.printStackTrace();
    }When I run the code, I get

    I have created a keystore according to the JSSE documentation: http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/security/jsse/JSSERefGuide.html#CreateKeystore
    I have tried relative and full pathnames for javax.net.ssl.keyStore, as well as copying the keystore right into the directory with the class-files
    I have tried to set javax.net.ssl.keyStore (and javax.net.ssl.keyStorePassword) via the command line's -D switch and via System.setProperty
    After all that failed, I even tried to import the generated public key into the server's keystore as well
    No matter what I did, I always get above exception upon calling accept().
    I am using Java 6 (Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04)) on Windows 7 64 Bit
    Any help is appreciated.

    I have created a keystore according to the JSSE documentation: http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/security/jsse/JSSERefGuide.html#CreateKeystore
    Are you sure you created a keystore with an RSA keypair, and not a DSA keypair?
