    Can you show a short(5-6 line) JSP page that generates these errors?
    What version of struts are you using?
    You are using struts-EL tag lib?
    Are you using JSTL as well? What version?

  • Logging issue with rssutils.tld Tag Library

    I'm using the rssutils.tld tag library to display three RSS feeds on my application's JSP homepage. It works very very well and I'm quite happy with the results (I'm running on a Tomcat 5.5.7 server). I implemented the solution following the examples in the tutorial at http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/javaserverpages/rss_utilities
    The only problem I'm having though is in my Tomcat logs. Whenever a user loads my home page, a ton of tags are written to my tomcat stdout log:
    <rss>
    <channel>
    <title>
    </title>
    <link>
    </link>
    <description>
    </description>
    <language>
    </language>
    <copyright>
    </copyright>
    and so on for several hundred lines. This not only fills up my logs very very quickly, I'm worried about performance. Has anyone run into this problem and, if so, have a suggestion on how to have the tag library only log errors instead of every tag it processes? Thanks in advance.

    There are 2 System.out's in com/sun/cnpi/rss/handlers/DocumentHandler.class For test purposes I commented these out and it resolved the issue. I think the license allows modifications and redistribution as long as the copyright notice is included but I am no expert on legal stuff. If someone can assist me with this I would be happy to provide the modified package.

    Java will not allow us to reload any class that is dependent on a native
              library. I suggest that any classes that depend on native code should be
              put in the system classpath. If you change these classes or the native
              library you will need to restart your server.

    But the meeting gets added to the resource calendar. We did not have this problem when we were testing but now that we have gone live it is annoying our users. When you invite a resource with Outlook Connector, an email is sent to the value of the "mail:" attribute for the resource as well as having the event added to the resource calendar directly via WCAP. This is an MS Outlook specific behaviour.
    Refer to the following link on how to have these emails automatically discarded by using a 'bitbucket' channel address:
    http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-5200/6n7a49o05?a=view
    When resources are invited to meetings in UWC we do not get the SMTP error. UWC doesn't send an email to the "mail:" address.

  • How to use bean:write inside jsp:include ?

    I got a problem about JSP's syntax. The following is my code:
    <%@ include file="<bean:write name="HelloForm" property="target" />"%>
    The double quotes inside bean:write is my problem. Could you please teach me how to use bean:write within JSP's include? Thank you!

    http://java.sun.com/products/jsp/syntax/1.2/syntaxref12.html
    Include Directive vs <jsp:include>
    The include directive <%@include %> is done at page translation/compile time.
    It effectively pastes in a static file, and then compiles the JSP as if it was all one file.
    As such, you cannot provide a runtime expression to it.
    To do runtime inclusion, you need to use the <jsp:include> tag which does except runtime parameters.
    <%String test = request.getParameter("pageInfo");%>
    <%String link = test + ".jsp"; %>
    <jsp:include page="<%= link %>" %>Unfortunately you can't use the tag with a bean:write tag as well, you can only use runtime expressions, not tag. So you have to do the include with
    <jsp:include page="<%= HelloForm.getTarget() %>" />

    Hi,
    I am having a similar problem that results in this stack trace. The funny thing is that it occurs after a session.logout/login and re-read of the object I'm trying to update. The other thing is that if I remove objects from the transaction it just happens somewhere else - on a different object/descriptor. I am attempting to upgrade from 9.03 runtime to the 10.0.3.1 builder/runtime. I am connecting to a Sybase 12.5 db.
    Any ideas on this one?
    Thanks,
    Bret

    Dear Guru's,
    I am not able to solve the above issue for last couple of days.
    I am newbie to the webservice
    My Issue...
    I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.2.4.0 Release 2
    1. Using Jdev I built one small Web Service with two methods.
            While testing the Webservice...
                   I passed User Id as Parameter and it successfully return the values (user id, user name and description) from fnd_user table
    2. I created another application to consume the web service i created.
                   1. I added the webservice SOAP and added the method.
                   2. Created a jsf page and drag and drop the parameter and return values to the jsf page.
    3. While executing the created jsf page I received the error message as below
