Exception not appeared in Web Analyser

Hi Friends,
We are using exception in Query which are working properly in BEx Analyser but when execute this query in Web Analyser these exception do not reflect with same color code.
In setting it is showing that same exception is active but color code is not there?

Are you sure there is not another web analysis web application process running, have you checked the processes running on the machine, you may have to kill or stop one of them to release the lock.

Dimension Header Sort not working in Web Analysis

The dimension header sort which is supposed to sort dimension members automatically as they are designed in the database outline doesn't work and instead any new dimension members are just added to the end of the list. There are four options from the shortcuts menu > Data Display > Dimension Header Sort : Default, Ascending, Descending, Level or Generation. None of these work or none of these reorganize the dimension members order. Does anybody know what could be the problem? We are using Hyperion Web Analysis Studio 9.3.1 running on Red Hat.
This is a big show stopper issue for our deployment because of the vast number of changes to the reports financial users have to do on daily basis they expect the hierachy based on the database outline in Essbase to be retained through any new member additions or changes.

How are you pulling through the members - are you using Descendant of? (I know there is the Dynamic option for drop downs).
Web Analysis is very picky about the formatting and application of different formats in order they were last applied. Maybe try removing all formating to see if there is still an issue, then reapply.
There is also a known issue (SR3-992119231) with shared members only appearing in the first place in the hierarchy and not in any shared hierarchies - the SR indicated it would be fixed in the current version 11.1.x but there was no indication of a backfix to prior releases (9.3.1.x).

Query Selection Screen does not appear in Web Analyzer

Hi Experts,
Query Selection Screen appears when we open the query in Bex Analayzer in production system. But when we open the query in ABAP or JAVA Web view, the selection screen does not appears.
As the volume of data in the cube is very high, and since the selection screen is not appearing, the query extracts 1.5Mrecords and results in dump.
Kindly let me know the possibility for selection screen not appearing.
Note: The selection screen appear in Development system in Bex Analyzer, ABAP View and Java View

You can check if the parameter &VARIABLE_SCREEN=X is added to standard template or not, If not add this,
In order to add this parameter in the webtemplate you have to change 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and save it as ZANALYSIS_PATTERN and enter this standard web template under TCODE RSCUSTV27.
Also I would like to explain you the behavior of Web Analyzer,
Parameter VARIABLE_SCREEN=X only influences the WEB application at startup. This will not come into affect
when you use the 'New Analysis' button. The 'New Analysis' button resets the dataprovider so this would not
affect the variable screen and would not redisplay the variable screen as you require.

Some Program Icons do not appear in Web Premium Student Edition

This seems like the problem I am having but the fix seems to be for CS3. I have CS4. I am also running 32 Bit windows not 64 bit.
I downloaded the trials of DW, FW, and Flash prior to purchasing this and they displayed their icons just fine. I also made sure that all of the programs were uninstalled prior to installing them from the disc.
Any idea how to fix this? I checked the programs properties and they show the icons but why won't they show it there?
Any help would be appreciated. Also I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum. I though this would be fine considering this is about the Web Premium pack.

You have quite a few code validation errors - no document type declaration, etc... Start by fixing these reported errors.

Buttons not appearing on web

I have a form with a button which dynamically pops up in front of text items (using set_item property, position and visible). This works on c/s but on the web the button does not appear. Is there a reason for this ? I have fixed it using stacked canvases but it was a nuisance to have to do so.

Strictly speaking it's a bug in client server - items should not be able to directly overlay each other, unless only one of them is visible. (or you are using a stacked canvas)

Banner does not appear in web preview

I have a banner image that I put at the top of my webpage it looks great in DW. However when I go to web preview in Firefox or IE it does not appear on the page in the browser, just the title bayshore. Can someone please let me know how to fix this.

This is a strange way to show the site. Can't you just upload the page?
In addition, I tried running that piece of code through the validator and you do have issues with the HTML that could cause some display issues. I would recommend fixing those first to see if that helps:

Charts not appear in Web Intelligence canvas view result

I have the next situation, when I use charts in my webi in view result this not appear but when I put the view structure or export my report the chart appear.
I cant understand. I have BOBJ XI 3.2 and I am using web intelligence rich client standalone for do some test.

Can you let me know the Chart type and Objects you have for chart.
In case of Measure objects, those are directly coming from back-end level or created at report level?? If at Report level give me the Formula of that.

Substitution Variables Not Working in Web Analysis

Our current month /current year (CMCY)substitution variables donot work in Web Analysis. The variables are set up properlyon the Essbase server and work fine with the excel add-in. The prior month / current year (PMCY)sub variable does workin Web Analysis. Does anyone know why web analysis is hit ormiss with sub variables?

Exceptions not displayed using Web Application Designer

Hi there,
I've got a query including a simple exception. If I execute these query out of the query designer (in the web) or in the BEx Analyzer the exception is displeyd as defined. (red, green, yellow...)
Do I use these query as DataProvider in a Web Template (Analysis Item -> Exceptions displayer as color) the exceptions are not shown. Does anybody have an idea?

If you need to use Exception in Web, you will have to open the query in the Web Analyzer and create an exception in the Web Analyzer in the Settings.

Bex Query Exception Not Appearing In Bex Report

I have a created an exception in a Bex Query and built a report using the Bex Report Designer. But the exceptions that work fine in the query dont seem to work once I've embedded the query in a report. Is this right? is it not possible to use exceptions in a report or do I need to turn something on etc?

Pls refer the OSS # 331772 reg. this limitation. Exceptions if applied will not be dynamic in RD.
Report designer is a flat structure. You cannot collapse or expand the static columns. Hence, Conditions/Exceptions are not supported in Report Designer. You may try alternatively in WAD. It will surely work in WAD for formatted web based reports.

File Dialog not appearing in web form after Note:74140.1

Hello, I have implemented the source given in Note:74140.1 to replace the get_file_name function that displays the file dialog box. However I still am not able to see the dialog that the JavaBean should display. I am relativly new at linking JavaBeans with forms, so there might be something that I am missing.
I have created the class files for FDialog and FDialogPJC and put them in an ear file. I have also modified the fiels server.xml and default-web-site.xml to include the ear file. The respective code for a button has been added to the button trigger in the form, as well as the code for the JavaBean.
So far this has been unsuccessful. If you have a suggestion, your help is much appreciated.

the problem is that when I type JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean when working in JDeveloper, it cannot locate the java class file JDialogPJC.class. This happens when I put both the JDialogPJC and JDialog classes in the jar file and put the jar file in the forms90/java directory.
However, if I just put both class files (not contained in a jar file) in the forms90/java directory, and I specify the JDialogPJC in the implementation class property of the java bean, it works fine.
I would like to be able to use the jar file instead of a whole load of class files sitting in the directory.

Previews not appearing in Web Module

Veteran LR user here. Since updating, LR 5 consistently causes snags (for us) when creating web galleries. Here's the workflow: after editing raw files and applying settings, we have a nice folder of images cropped and ready to preview with client.
Now, when we go to the Web Module, the previews are grayed-back in the Filmstrip, and images won't appear in any of the web gallery templates (either custom ones we designed or the preset versions.) We've tried everything from flagging and staring images to get them to appear. Also save metadata to all the images in the folder.
The only thing that seems to work is to close LR5--with backup and catalog optimization--then, we re-open LR5. That seems to "free up" the Web Module. Upon reopening LR5, our folder of images suddenly appears when we go to the Web Module.
This is an unaceptable work around b/c closing and optimizing takes alot of time. Making web proofing galleries used to be a snap in previous versions of LR, now we're stumped in LR5 trying to figure out what we're doing wrong.
Anyone's help would be very much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

It isn't Lightroom itself, or everyone would be seeing it. I'm currently working on a new plugin myself and all is fine-useless to you, but it may reflect something in your setup, like corrupt preferences. There is also an occasional jQuery problem in Lightroom where the whole system needs a reboot to get Lightroom back in gear.
I'd backup and remove preferences, then start Lightroom and see how it goes.

EEWB field is not appearing in web ui

Hi All,
I added a new field to orderadm_h using EEWB based on the transaction type(service order) . Now i am able to see the newly added field in the CRMD_ORDERADM_H table .eventhough the bol structure also enhanced. the new field is available under the view context node attribute.this new field is not availble in the configuration section(show available fields).can any one help me.

Email code do not appear in web page

I want to send email so I put the following test code in an index.cfm file:

When I view the page source of the web page, I only see "cfmail".
I do not see "<cfmail to=... </cfmail>.

Have you checked the underliverable mail directory and/or log files to see if any errors were encountered?
