Exception Reporting based on a characteristic of type DATE

Hi Friends,
I am new to this community. Please help me in solving the below problem about exception.
There is an infoobject 0CSM_PLDA (Planned closed date). It is an charactesitic of data type 'DATE'. And my requirement is that for an infoobject 0CSM_PLDA <b>I have to create an alert based on difference between SYSDAT and 0CSM_PLDA :</b>
Good - < 5 days
Medium – between 5 and 2 days
Bad – <1 day
So please tell me
1. How to find out the difference between SYSDAT and 0CSM_PLDA ? Where does Sysdat is avaialble in BW?
2. 0CSM_PLDA is a characteristic of type DATE and as you know Exception generally supports keyfigure...then tell me how to solve this?
Please answer in detail. Thanks----Sasi.<b></b>

Hi Stefan,
Still I couldn't find the solution.
0CRM_PLDA is a characteristic of type DATE. And SYSDAT we can assume it as a characteristic of type DATE.
How can you find out the difference between two characteristic of type DATE. In formula, its possible to perform calculations only on keyfigures. So finding the difference is the complex one for me.
Even I tried with formula replacement for an 0crm_plda. Its not helpful.
please guide me in solving the problem.
Thanks,
Sasi

  • Reports based on SQL view contain no data. Reports based on tables work just fine

When we load a report into Crystal reports server that is based on a SQL view the report will run but will contain no data. A report that pulls data from SQL tables works just fine. Running the crystal report on standalone crystal reports works just fine.
I am completely lost on this one. If you have any ideas please send them my way.

Are you missing an ODBC / TNS entry on your CMS (or report processing, if clustered env) server?  This could definately be an issue if the report will run locally within CR client, but not when hosted on the enterprise environment.  Another test would be to run the report from CR client ON the CRS / BOE server..

  • Scheduled WEBI reports based on File Events not retrieving data

    Dear All,
We are facing performance related issues with Scheduled WEBI reports based on file based events.
When running Web Intelligence on demand it takes  4to 5 Minutes.
Scheduling the same report in Excel format it takes more than 20 minutes.Schedule status showing success but no data found in Excel instance.
    Env:BOXI3.1 Sp3
    Windows 2003
It woud be great if any one can share your ideas.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    Is your report has prompts?
if you have prompts , make sure that you assigned prompts in the schedule also.
Hope you have multiple webi processing servers and adpative job servers for better scheduling performance.
    Try below solution .
On the BusinessObjects Enterprise server, navigate to the folder <install root>\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_X86\dataAccess\connectionServer
Open the file cs.config in a text editor such as Notepad
Search the file contents for the string "Traces Active"
    Modify the line from  <Traces Active="Yes">   to  <Traces Active="No">
    Save the cs.config file
Restart the Web Intelligence Processing Server

  • Report based on custom Query - Question about Data Source

    Hello,
I am trying to create Crystal reports (EBO R3.1, Oracle 11g Database, CR2008) based on custom queries. Tried using different kinds of Data Sources but getting stuck once I export them to Infoview.
    1. Using Oracle Server: This method works fine on my local & Infoview. But since I have lot of reports, I do not want the DB username/password associated to the report. I neither want BO to prompt username/pwd to my user.
    2. Using ODBC(RDO):
Again, works fine on my local. Once I export to Infoview, it fails with this error: "Failed to open the connection"
Which makes sense, because the DSN is created on my local machine and not on the server.
How and what do I create on the server, so that the reports run?
I do not know if using ODBC(RDO) is even the right way for creating custom SQL reports.
I have been reading about Business Views, but not clear on how good they work.
My goal is to create multiple reports, using custom SQL queries which use some kind of connection to the database that can be managed on the
server in one place, and used by multiple reports.
Can any of you please help me here
    Thanks,
    Sowmya.

Thanks for moving it to the right forum!!
But, if I setup in CMC, a default username/password that the report needs....what would happen if my password changes?
I would need to go to each and every report and update the password.
I am looking for using one common "connection" for multiple reports. So that, when passwords change, all I update is in one central location.
    Can anyone please help!
    Thanks,

  • EasyDMS - search by date range for characteristics of type date

    Hi Folks,
I have a characteristic of type date in the additional data of a DMS document. If I enter the date (for example validity date) as 08/31/2009 and search using cv04n and give a date range for the characteristic (i.e. 01/01/2009 - 12/31/2009), the search result will bring up the document.
However, I cannot do this from the EasyDMS find function. I need to specify an exact date. This is not very helpful for user who need to find documents with a validity date between 01/01/2009 - 12/31/2009 for example. Is there a way users can search for date range in EasyDMS find function?
    Thanks,
    Lashan

To search a date range with EasyDMS Client you have to set the registry key
    \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\EasyDms\Generel\DateSearchPick to Value 0
Then you can use the input field like in SAP-Gui. (01.01.2009-31.01.2009)
If you set the value to 1 or the key is not defined you can only search for one specified date.
If you don't find this key on your PC create it as dword.
Maybe you must restart you PC for takeing effect.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Report based on Object Types

    Hi All,
I am using Oracle 9i & Developer 6i on Windows platform in client/server environment. I created a report based on an Object Type defined in the Database. I am facing two problems in that:
    1. Its not picking up Date columns properly. When I run the report, I receive error: "REP-0612: Invalid Date Mask.
ORA-01801: date format is too long for internal buffer.".
When I checked, I noticed that all the date columns in my Data Model, which are coming from Object Type are of Width 9 only. I want to ask how is it so, & how can I sort it out. I have not specified any format model for dates neither in Object Type nor in Report anywhere.
    2. Another thing is, after reopening the report, in the report builder, i mean closing & then opening the .rdf file, when I try to run the report, I receive following error: "REP-0499: Column 'Column_Name' selected by the query is incompatible with report defination". This column is one of the columns/attributes of the object type on which my report is based. Though, nothing has been changed in the object type or any other database object, it gives this error, everytime, I try to run the report, after closing it(after proper saving) & opening it again. Can anyone help me by telling, why is it happening like this.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Inderjeet Singh

Thanks for the quick reply InoL,
I'm not familiar with breakOrder, however when I review the code behind the report, I see nothing but:
breakOrder="none" in several lines. There is no other value other than "none" for this setting. Here's an excerpt:
    "Group Name" breakOrder="none".
What exactly does breakOrder control and what other values are possible?
As far as pageProtect goes, there are two entries that show:
    <generalLayout pageProtect="yes" verticalElasticity="variable"/>
Is it worth a shot to change both to "no" to see what happens?
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • Report based on plsql table type

Is it possible crete a report (updatable) based on plsql table type?
    thank in advance
    Franco Galante

Sorry for my cryptic question, i wanted to mean create a report based on a stored procedure
function which return a plsql table type variable.
This idea could give me the chance to work with variable (plsql table) instead of db table.
    hope i'm enough clear
    thank you again

  • Placing an exception reporting in a crosstable based on a key figure not "visible" in the crosstable

    Hello Community,
I've come across the above question. As far as I've experienced, this is not possible. not with an exception reporting created in Query Designer, not in Analysis Office "Conditional Formatting".
Who can asure my experience or (even better) share different experiences?
    Regards,
    Sarah

I have no experience with this but...take a look at this SAP Note http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/852194 and could you try this option in the BEx query to see if it works:
    Hide (Can be Shown)

  • Creating an Exception Report with a Prompt

    All,
Having difficulties with this report, and I wanted to see if I'm trying to make it do too much.
    Report: Opportunities Exception Report
Prompt: List of exceptions we are tracking (ie...Custom Field #1 not populated, Source not populated, etc).
I tried to combine criteria to account for each exception (since each exception is based on a seperate field), but doing so prevents me from then adding a Prompt. I have also created individual reports to account for each exception. I'm wondering what the best approach would be to achieve the results I need?
    Is it possible to:
    1. Combine all individual exception reports (all have same columns, with first column hard-coded to identify which exception type that report contains) into one master exception report, with a prompt on the column that lists the exception type?
    2. Create a prompt to a master report that, when selected, applies exception criteria that is appropriate for what is chosen from the Prompt?
    3. Somehow work with a Master that that has all the exceptions built into the combined criteria, but still gives a Prompt to select which criteria you're wanting to see?
Thanks in advance for any/all help.
    Regards,
    JT

    Mike,
Thanks for your response. Looking at the suggestions you gave, the first two wouldn't work for this scenario because of what it is we're trying to do. Essentially, we're just trying to find the missing pieces of data that the Sales Team didn't enter in on an Opportunity. So every report is going to be like this:
    1. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 1 populated. (Exception Type 1)
    2. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 2 populated. (Exception Type 2)
    3. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 3 populated. (Exception Type 3)
The report with combined analysis worked great in putting these exceptions into one report, but you're limited in what you can do with it.
I've toyed with the pivot table, but if have a drop down list of the exception types, can I then change the filter of the complete Opportunity list to be the just the one you select?
    Thanks again for your response,
    JT

  • Generate  Report based on latest request

    Hi Frds,
Can we able to generate the Report based on the latest request.
if so , explain me clearly
    thanks,

    Hi,
    1. Create 3 variables for Request ID, customer exit, single value, uncheck ready for input (e,g. ZEXIT01. ZEXIT02 , ZEXIT03).
    ZEXIT01 represents request of Source1 , File1
    ZEXIT02 represents request of Source1 , File2
ZEXIT03 represents request Source2, i.e. for source1 the two most recent requests
and for source2 the most recent request are provided by these variables.
    2. For ZEXIT01add attached code to ZXRSRU01: Just modify bold expression according to your scenario.
    3. For ZEXIT02 change  IF SY-TABIX = 1 to  IF SY-TABIX = 2 , WHEN 'ZEXIT01'.to
WHEN 'ZEXIT02'. and add code to ZXRSRU01.
    4. For ZEXIT03 change 'YOUR_INDOSOURCE' to IS-name of Source2,WHEN 'ZEXIT01'.to WHEN 'ZEXIT03'. and add code to ZXRSRU01.
    5. At last assign these  variables in Query Designer to characteristic Request ID.
    Sample Code:
    WHEN 'ZEXIT01'.
        TABLES:RSSELDONE,
               RSICCONT.
DATA: L_T_SELDONE LIKE RSSELDONE OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
DATA: L_T_ICUBE LIKE RSICCONT OCCURS 0 WITH HEADER LINE.
        DATA : REQNO1 TYPE RSSELDONE-RNR.
SELECT * FROM RSICCONT INTO TABLE L_T_ICUBE WHERE
               ICUBE = <b>'YOUR_CUBE'</b>.
        SORT L_T_ICUBE BY RNSIDLAST DESCENDING.
SELECT * FROM RSSELDONE INTO TABLE L_T_SELDONE WHERE
               SOURCE  = <b>'YOUR_INDOSOURCE'</b>.
        SORT L_T_SELDONE BY RNR.
        LOOP AT L_T_ICUBE.
          IF SY-TABIX = 1.
READ TABLE L_T_SELDONE WITH KEY L_T_ICUBE-RNR BINARY SEARCH.
            IF SY-SUBRC = 0.
              REQNO1 = L_T_ICUBE-RNR .
              EXIT.
            ENDIF.
          ENDIF.
        ENDLOOP.
        CLEAR L_S_RANGE.
        L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'EQ'.
        L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
        L_S_RANGE-LOW = REQNO1.
        APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    Best Luck

  • How to enhance exception class based on CX_ROOT

I have created an exception class based on CX_ROOT (or CX_STATIC_CHECK, CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK). Now, I need to enhance its "constructor" method with my own parameters. How can I do this? Currently system does not allow this. But, I have seen many other exception classes enhanced the way I want? Any idea?
    Any pointers will be helpful.
    Regards, Neetu

    Hello Neetu
Two steps are required to get additional IMPORTING parameters in the CONSTRUCTOR method of your exception class:
    (1) Create exception IDs (tabstrip Texts )
    Example:  ID=ZCX_SDN_CLASS, text=Invalid data type for field &FIELD& on screen &SCREEN& &REPORT&
    (2) Add corresponding instance attributes (read-only) to your exception class
    Examples: attributes FIELD, SCREEN, REPORT
Now the CONSTRUCTOR has the additional IMPORTING parameters FIELD, SCREEN and REPORT.
If you raise your exception class using id=ZCX_SDN_CLASS then the wildcards (e.g. &FIELD& in the text) will be replaced by IMPORTING parameter FIELD.
    Regards
