Exception when there is "~" in the Crystal report applicaiton name

Hi all,
I am new in using the Crystal report and i faced the follwing problem:
1. I am using Crystal report for eclipse version 1.0.8.v1541.
2. The application name with which the Crystal reports are deployed on the engine contains "~" in the name.
3. In the jsp I use the following code to request the report:
ReportClientDocument reportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
reportClientDocument.open("CrystalReport_IssuesPerCategories.rpt", OpenReportOptions._openAsReadOnly);
4. I get the following exception :
com.businessobjects.reports.sdk.d: Report file /D:/usr/sap/LKG/J00/j2ee/cluster/apps/sap.com/test%7Efeedback_crystal_report_app_v2/servlet_jsp/sap.com%7Etest%7Efeedback_crystal_report_v2/root/CrystalReport_IssuesPerCategories.rpt not found

(When I try to run the jsp from an application with a name without "~" in it everything works ok.)
Is this a bug? Is there some work around? Or maybe it is a fixed in some newer version?
(I am using NWDI + CBS as a build sustem and the ~ in the name is added automaticaly , so i cant skip it)
Thanks in advance!

  • Password is lost when I save the Crystal Report

    We use Crystal Reports v. 11.5.3.417, and our users access the crystal Reports using InfoView (Web Portal)
    We store the username and password inside the different Repor so the end-users of these reports don't have to know our database passwords in order to run the reports. (Oracle DB)
    We have 2 problems with our Crystal Reports
    1) Every time I change and the Save a report, the Password is lost, and I have to remember to go into the "Manage Object" and Process->Database and enter it again. It's really annoying to have to remember this every time we change a report.. Is there an option somewhere to avoid this?
    2) The password and username are occationly failing. When the users (accessing Crystal Reports through the Web Portal / Infoview) get an error message "Incorrect logon parameters..." The funny thing (actually not that funny) is that if I try to open the report like 10-15 times, just by clicking on the Crystal Report in the Infoview, it usually starts to work again. Some times after 5 clickes, and other times after 10-15 clicks. Its just not logical. Also when it starts working in my web-browser, it also start to work on our users browser as well.
    Every week I have to tell a couple of users to try like 10-15 times, but its not that funny to say this to a user.

    Hi   Roy Ingar Hansen,
    If  you think not to provide the password for your End user then we can  do that go into the "Manage Object" and Process->Database  enter the password  and Enable the option in :
    When viewing report:
    Use same database logon as when report is run.
    For the first time you need to enter the logon credentials and enable the option and click on update.
    It wont prompt for the password and it will not show password to your user's.
    If you have problems with Original database logon , then try with Custom database logon and update the option.
    Try with this...

    Hi,
    Does it means we are allowed to create stored Procedure inside the Company Database. We only use selecting and joining tables and somehow some complex sql procedures to meet our requirements.
    Thanks, but my question is if there's nothing wrong with it why my SAP B1 Closes when previewing the Crystal Report. Im running on Windows 7 64-bit, i will not imagine that the capacity of memory of my Terminal Unit is not enough because my memory is 8GB. I run crystal report but it shows the record, but when running the Cystal Viewer inside SAP B1 it illegally terminated.
    Thanks for clarifying the creation of Stored Procedure.

  • Error when running the Crystal Report 9.1 (visual studio 2003) in the deployed server

    Hello,
    1) I am suddenly getting an error message ‘Load Report failed’ in a production server (where the VS2003 application is deployed) when the Crystal Report is executed. This has happened maybe because of the Windows/Crystal Report Updates!
    I am able to see the same report perfectly fine in the development computer using VS 2003.
    I am using the 9.1 version which is part of the Visual Studio 2003.
    The event logs show 'Either the keycode library is not registered or it cannot be loaded ...EventID=10029'. See attached screen shot.
    Please help?
    2) Since I was getting a registration suggestion window  for using Crystal Reports, I registered twice using different email address and it said that it will send me the KeyCode for the Crystal report but after successful registration I never got any keycode but just an email acknowledging the Registration.
    I believe the KeyCode is required to use it in the server to execute/run a report.
    Can SAP representative email the keycode to my gmail account?
    My product key is:
    Please help to resolve both my problems
    Thanks in advance,
    Sanjay Chudasama

    If I memory servers, you have to open the Crystal_Regwiz2003.msm in the .NET deployment project. One of the properties of the msm was Keycode (or similar). You entered the keycode here. To find your keycode; in VS2003 IDE, go to the Help | About screen. You will see one of the installed components as Crystal Reports and the keycode will be on the right of that. Copy the keycode from here, paste in the above.
    For more details see the article Crystal Reports and Visual Studio .NET - Application Deployment.

  • How to create a report with data using the Crystal Reports for Java SDK

    Hi,
    How do I create a report with data that can be displayed via the Crystal Report for Java SDK and the Viewers API?
    I am writing my own report designer, and would like to use the Crystal Runtime Engine to display my report in DHTML, PDF, and Excel formats.  I can create my own report through the following code snippet:
    ReportClientDocument boReportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
    boReportClientDocument.newDocument();
    However, I cannot find a way to add data elements to the report without specifying an RPT file.  Is this possible?  I seems like it is since the Eclipse Plug In allows you to specify your database parameters when creating an RPT file.
    is there a way to do this through these packages?
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.data
    com.crystaldecisions.sdk.occa.report.definition
    Am I forced to create a RPT file for the different table and column structures I have?
    Thank you in advance for any insights.

  • Error:When adding RDC runtime library (Crystal report XI R2) to Lotus notes

    Background : We have reporting feature implemented in one of lotus notes application using crystal reports 6 (OCX) and as Crystal report is going to be upgraded to CR XI version in my organisation, we need to implement the same using RDC component available in crystal XI . we have installed Crytal report XI R2 - SP 6 version for testing the integration.
    we are  referring a document available on SAP web site(attached below) that illustrates the steps required to integrate the Crystal Reports®  Report Designer Component into a Lotus® Dominou2122 application.  http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/509b02de-a81e-2b10-f598-822b6d6f2024?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true
    Steps which have been outlined for adding runtime library in lotus domino application is shown below:-
    1. In Domino Designer, add a Form to the application.
    2. In the programmeru2019s pane, go to the (Declarations) handler of the Form and enter:
       Dim App As Variant,    Dim Rep As Variant
    3. Select Create | Object and select the u201CControlu201D radio button in the u201CCreate Objectu201D dialog box that comes up. From the list of controls, select u201CCrystal Report Viewer Control.u201D This adds the control to the Form.
    4. Click on the control and select Edit | Properties. In the u201CAppletu201D properties dialog, select the u201CSize object to fit windowu201D radio button and then close the properties dialog.
    We are getting an error message while trying to add 'Crystal Report Viewer Control' control (illustated in Step 3 above) in the lotus notes form . Error message which we get is 'An error has occured while processing a request on an object'.
    Alternatively , we created the object of Crystal Report Viewer on lotus notes form by adding viewer object file (Crviewer.dll) from the file system  after selecting the u201CObject from a fileu201D radio button in the u201CCreate Objectu201D dialog box and added following code in the postopen event of lotus notes form .
    Set m_Viewer = Source.GetObject("Crystal Report Viewer Control")
    Set App = CreateObject("CrystalRuntime.Application")
    Set Rep = App.OpenReport(u201Cc:lotus
    otes
    ep.rptu201D)
    Set m_Viewer.ReportSource = Rep
    Again, when lotus notes form is opened , it gives error 'Variant does not contain object' at 'Set m_Viewer.ReportSource = Rep' .
    Can any one suggest us any workaround or if iit is not possible in CR XI R2 into a Lotus® Dominou2122 application. Also, can any one provide us sample code if CR 2008 version can be integatred with lotus notes.

    I believe, Lotus was never a "supported" development platform, though it did work - at one time or another. Eventually it did not and you are at that point. I think it was CR 10 where it started to be impossible to add the viewer to Lotus. This was never fixed and we never did find out if this was a Lotus thing or a CR thing.
    Re. CR 2008 and Lotus. The RDC has been retired in CR 2008, so no luck there either for you. The only SDKs available in CR 2008 are for .NET and Java.

  • Changing the Crystal Report dependency from 10.2 to 11.5 using config file

    Hi,
    We have an windows application in .net 2.0, which refers to Crystal Report 10.2 version. Now the dependency was being upgraded to 11.5. But we do not have the exact source code for the executable to change the dependency from 10.2 to 11.5.
    I have installed the CR 11.5 to the testing machine and tried to open the appilcation. it failed saying CR 10.2 dlls were missing
    Then  I changed the .net config files to change the dependency assembly as follows
    <runtime>
         <assemblyBinding xmlns="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:asm.v1">
           <dependentAssembly>
             <assemblyIdentity name="CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine" publicKeyToken="692fbea5521e1304" culture="neutral" />
             <bindingRedirect oldVersion="10.2.3600.0" newVersion="11.5.3700.0"/>
           </dependentAssembly>
           <dependentAssembly>
             <assemblyIdentity name="CrystalDecisions.ReportSource" publicKeyToken="692fbea5521e1304" culture="neutral" />
          <bindingRedirect oldVersion="10.2.3600.0" newVersion="11.5.3700.0"/>
           </dependentAssembly>
           <dependentAssembly>
             <assemblyIdentity name="CrystalDecisions.Shared" publicKeyToken="692fbea5521e1304" culture="neutral" />
          <bindingRedirect oldVersion="10.2.3600.0" newVersion="11.5.3700.0"/>
           </dependentAssembly>
           <dependentAssembly>
             <assemblyIdentity name="CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms" publicKeyToken="692fbea5521e1304" culture="neutral" />
          <bindingRedirect oldVersion="10.2.3600.0" newVersion="11.5.3700.0"/>
           </dependentAssembly>
          </assemblyBinding>
      </runtime>
    Now the application launched with out any issues. I thought the problem was sorted out.
    But when I tried to generate the report, there comes the problem
    During the report generation, I am getting the following error
    Crystal Reports
    An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime.
    Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly.
    Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required.  Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
    OK
    I do not want to install the 10.2 redistributable in teh machine also do not want to re-compile the sources changing the dependency
    Is there any way to achieve this ?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Edited by: Balaji Narasimhan on Aug 3, 2009 5:28 PM

    No way that I know of. I believe once you change the dependency, you will have to recompile the project. Installing CR 10.2, may get this to work, but the app will most likely use the 10.2 references. Let's see if anyone else has any ideas.

  • Not able to see the crystal reports XI version in the IE 7 and IE 8

    Hi Team,
    I am using web based application developed in VB,ASP,SQL SERVER,Crystal Reports(XI). I am able to see the Crystal Reports in IE 6. But i am not able to see the reports in IE 7 and IE 8. While clicking on the reports button it is showing the  red X image top left cornor.
    I am using CrystalActiveX viewer11 version for viewing the reports.
    In IE 6,if the client using fiirst time for vieiwing the reports,it will ask the Activexviewer control prompt and says ok,it will display the reports.
    Thanks and Regards
    Eshwar

    Thanks your advise.But we are using following crystal reports (XI) version and we don't have CRXI with R1 and R2.
    CurrentVersion:11.0.0.895 ( CR Developer and Product Type:Full)
    Crystal Reportviewer11 configured in the IIS which is version (5.0). and configured the virtual folder to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\crystalreportviewers11\.
    Our web application code also configured in the IIS at same level.
    When the user wants to see the reports through the application,it will ask the Plugin of Crystal Report Viewer and user will download this plugin and it will save in the IE plug ins.It will ask only first time viewing the reports for the next onwards it will not ask or prompt of the Activex control.
    So please suggest me, is there any upgrade version of this Crystal Reportviewer11 needs to be installed or any browser setting need to be configured for IE 7 and IE 8.
    waiting for your reply.

  • Error WHen trying to print a crystal report

    I am trying to print a system crystal report and it is giving me the following error: "Error during printing; ensure all parameters are defined". And it prints the first page, but none of the consecutive pages if there are more than 1. Is there some type of setting that needs to be set for printing?

    Hmmmmm it says "page range" ALL. I was able to print fine until I created a new layout and saved it. THen I went to print it and got the error. But it seems I get the error when I print any crystal report in any DB. Is this a setting in crystal, SAP, or printer itself? I can print the second page if I toggle through to the second page on the crystal report view, and go to print, and put 2 next to pages feild. Otherwise it is set to print ALL, however it is not doing that.

  • How can I get the View Tab name on the Crystal Report Viewer at runtime?

    When a report is displayed in the Windows Forms Crystal Report Viewer and the user drills into the report, the drill down view is displayed in a seperate view and is identified via a View tab at the top of the report.  I can determine the index of the view tab that is currently selected, but I need to access the text that is on the View tab.  The only properties that I've found that pertain to the "view" on the Crystal Report viewer are the ActiveViewIndex and the ViewCount.  Unfortunately, neither of these items help me because they are not specific to a certain section of the report.  Has anyone had any luck accessing the View Tab properties ?  Thanks.

    The tabs at the top of the page are nested within some of the viewers controls. Through trial and error you just have to find the right one. In this case the main part of the report is in the first control. This happens to be a TabControl. From there you can loop through the TabPages on the TabControl to grab the names of the tabs.
    Here is a quick example of what I did to get the tab text. All this code was in a button click event.
    Control oControl = crystalReportViewer1.Controls[0];
    TabControl oTabControl = (TabControl)oControl.Controls[0];
    foreach (TabPage oTabPage in oTabControl.TabPages)
         MessageBox.Show(oTabPage.Text);

  • How do you set the Crystal Report Viewer Printer to Duplex

    Using the code below I can print in duplex mode, but this does not let me view a report before printing
    How do I set the Printer in the Viewer Control Bar of the Crystal Report Viewer to Duplex Printing programmatically rather than having to manually select Duplex through the preferences option?
    I have searched but the only example code I found produces errors in the code and will not run
    Private myReport As ReportDocument
    myReport = New ReportDocument()
    myReport.PrintOptions.PaperSize = PaperSize.PaperA4
    myReport.PrintOptions.PaperOrientation = PaperOrientation.Portrait
    myReport.PrintOptions.PrinterDuplex = PrinterDuplex. Vertical
    myReport.PrintToPrinter(3, False, 0, 0)
    In my VB6 Project that I am converting to VB.NET when I added Report.PrinterDuplex = crPRDPVertical, this allowed me to view the report and then print with Duplex without having to set the Print Preferences manualy
    I found 1386475 - How to set printer name and print job title at runtime using Report Application Server SDK for Visual Studio .NET

    Hi David,
    You can mix both engines, just declare them both with different report object names. Here's all of my references:
    using System;
    using System.IO;
    using System.Xml;
    using System.Drawing;
    using System.Collections;
    using System.ComponentModel;
    using System.Windows.Forms;
    using System.Data;
    using CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine;
    using CrystalDecisions.Shared;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommonControls;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommLayer;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.CommonObjectModel;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ObjectFactory;
    using System.Data.OleDb;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataSetConversion;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.DataDefModel;
    using CrystalDecisions.ReportSource;
    using CrystalDecisions.Windows.Forms;
    using System.Data.SqlClient;
    using System.Runtime.InteropServices;
        public class frmMain : System.Windows.Forms.Form
            CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument rpt = new CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportDocument();
            CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ISCDReportClientDocument rptClientDoc;
    My file open dialog:
            private void btnOpenReport_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
                rptClientDoc = new CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ClientDoc.ReportClientDocument();
                openFileDialog.Filter = "Crystal Reports (*.rpt)|*.rpt|Crystal Reports Secure (*.rptr)|*.rptr";
                openFileDialog.FilterIndex = 1;
                 if (openFileDialog.ShowDialog() == DialogResult.OK)
                      btnOpenReport.Enabled = false;
                      btnSaveRptAs.Enabled = false;
                      object rptName = openFileDialog.FileName;
                    try
                        rpt.Load(rptName.ToString());
                        rptClientDoc = rpt.ReportClientDocument;
                    catch (Exception ex)
                        MessageBox.Show("ERROR: " + ex.Message);
                        return;
                    MessageBox.Show(rptClientDoc.MajorVersion.ToString() + "." + rptClientDoc.MinorVersion.ToString());
                        MessageBox.Show("Report opened.","RAS",MessageBoxButtons.OK,MessageBoxIcon.Information );
                        btnOpenReport.Enabled = true;
                        btnSaveRptAs.Enabled = true;
                    //MessageBox.Show(rpt.RecordSelectionFormula, "my record: ", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information);
                    MessageBox.Show(rpt.ReportRequestStatus.NumberOfPages.ToString(), "Number of Pages: ", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information);
    As for the page number I use it off the Engine report object:
    MessageBox.Show(rpt.ReportRequestStatus.NumberOfPages.ToString(), "Number of Pages: ", MessageBoxButtons.OK, MessageBoxIcon.Information);
    And it works for me...
    Thank you
    Don

  • Display problem when reading Traditional Chinese in Crystal Report 2008

    Hi All,
    I have tried to connect MS SQL 6.5 to build up a report. However, I encounter a problem when read Traditional Chinese. all chinese characters turn into adnormal characters. I wonder it is problem of SQL Server or some setting that I may not know. In addition, I can able to read chinese in the application program , ISQL / Query Analyzer. Please help to give idea and suggestion to fix this. Thanks
    SQL Server: MS SQL Server  6.5
    Client OS: Window XP ( Traditional Chinese Version)
    Server OS: Window NT and Window Server 2000
    Stsyou

    Hi
    If you are using a Chinese language build database, Crystal Reports English build might not display the characters properly as non english databases include one byte characters as ASCII code character and double-byte characters as their own language code character.
    Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese (Kanji, Hiranga, and Katakana), Korean and Vietnamese use double-byte characters.
    However, a possible workaround to this issue is to verify that the encoding on the database client is configured according to the examples below. Also, you will need to install the language pack in the English environment.
    CONFIGURATION EXAMPLES:
    Shift-JIS for a Japanese database
    Big5 for a Traditional Chinese database
    GB2312 for a Simplified Chinese database
    iso-2022-kr for a Korean database
    Windows 1258 for a Vietnamese database
    EXAMPLE SCENARIO:
    An Oracle database saves non-English language data such as Japanese.
    The Windows operating system is English.
    STEP TO CONFIGURE THE CHARACTER CODE IN THE ENVIRONMENT SETTING
    (This step is based on the details of the EXAMPLE SCENARIO.)
    1. Configure the system environment on the database client side to 'Shift-JIS' as the character code set in the Environment Setting.
    This results in the NLS_LANG variable set to Japanese_Japan.JA16SJIS under the registry HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Oracle\Homeo.
    STEPS TO INSTALL LANGUAGE PACK IN AN ENGLISH ENVIRONMENT
    (These steps are based on the details of the EXAMPLE SCENARIO.)
    1. Add languages to the computer system by clicking:
    Control Panel > Regional Options > General
    2. Select the check box for 'Traditional Chinese', 'Simplified Chinese', 'Japanese', 'Korean' or 'Vietnamese'.
    3. Click 'Apply'.
    4. When you are prompted, insert the Windows CD-ROM to install the language pack.
    5. Restart the computer.
    Upon completing these steps, you are able to display the languages characters in the Crystal Reports Designer in a Windows English environment.
    ==========
    NOTE:
    If the database table and field names use non-English language characters, Data Explorer in CR will not correctly display these names. However, when you preview the report, the non-English data displays correctly.
    ==========
    Configuring the database client according to the examples and installing the language pack will display the characters successfully. However, there are cases when this workaround does not resolve the issue.
    For further information about CR and double-byte languages, refer to knowledge base articles, c2008083 and c2008349.
    Hope this helps!!!

    <p>I looks like your mixing technologies here.   You are using <strong>Crystal Report Server</strong> and the <strong>Crystal Report Web Services</strong> that come with Visual Studio.</p><p>I know that this might seem like they are the same product, and the naming does seem confusing but I&#39;ll try and make it easy for you to understand.</p><p><strong>Crystal Reports Server</strong> - This is a managed reporting solution which allows you to distribute your reports via the web.  It has features like scheduling and built in security.</p><p>It appears that you have a handle on what Crytal Report Server is from what you have been able to accomplish those far.  You have created your report and published it to Crystal Report Server and viewed it via the Central Management Console.  Crystal Reports Server has two methods for accessing the reports programatically.</p><p>1. The Enterprise SDK</p><p>2. The Web Services SDK</p><p><a href="/node/353">Check out this white paper that compares these two SDKs </a></p><p><a href="/node/256">This paper describes the Web Services SDK.</a></p><p>In the above paper there is a getting started section which points you to the Developer Library which shows you how to install the web services on your Crytal Reports Server machine.</p><p>Crystal Reports Server does not have the Business Object web services installed by default so I would suggest following the directions in the <a href="http://devlibrary.businessobjects.com/BusinessObjectsXIR2/en/devsuite.htm">Developer Library.</a></p><p>The directions wont talk about Crystal Reports Server but these are the directions to get the Web Services installed. </p><p>There is another web services technology which you are writing code for which is called <strong>Crystal Report Web Services.  </strong>This technology comes with Visual Studio 2003.  It provides un-managed reports via webservices.  Un-managed means these reports are not published to Crystal Reports Server.</p><p>So basically your problem is that your code is for <strong>Crystal Report Web Services </strong>but you are trying to view reports published to <strong>Crystal Reports Server.</strong>  To take advantage of scheduling and security and web service access I would suggest using Crystal Reports Server and install the Business Objects Platform webservices to access the reports. </p><p>I hope that&#39;s clear.<br /></p><p>Rob Horne<br /><a href="/blog/10">Rob&#39;s blog - http://diamond.businessobjects.com/blog/10</a></p>

  • How to increase the width of the Crystal Report

    Hello All
    How to increase the width of the Crystal report template in the CR designer in .NET 2005 editor ?
    I need to design a report which has to accomodate more number of columns.So achieve that i need to redesign the report having more width.
    CrystalReports version 10.2.3600.0
    Thanks in advance
    Srivatsa

    HI Srivatsa,
    You can make a wider report by creating virtual pages. Virtual pages are the extra pages to the right of the main page that get created to accommodate cross-tabs that are wider than a single page. By inserting a cross-tab in a report then suppressing it, you can create a report that is multiple pages wide.
    Insert and Suppress a Cross-Tab
    1. On the 'Insert' menu, click 'Cross-Tab'.
    2. In the Cross-Tab Expert, click any field and move it into the 'Columns' box, and click any field and move it into the 'Summarized Fields' box. Do not move any fields into the 'Rows' box.
    3. Click the 'Customize Style' tab and select the following check boxes:
    " Suppress Empty Rows
    " Suppress Empty Columns
    " Suppress Row Grand Totals
    " Suppress Column Grand Totals
    4. Click the 'OK' button and then insert the cross-tab into the Report Header section.
    5. On the 'Report' menu, click 'Format Sections'. Click 'Report Header' and select the 'Underlay Following Sections' check box.
    When you run the report you will not see the cross-tab, but you will be able to scroll to the right and see multiple virtual pages.
    ====================
    NOTES:
    " As there are no rows to the Cross-Tab, it does not carry on to Page 2 and the virtual pages do not appear past the first page.
    " To increase or decrease the number of virtual pages do one of the following:
    - Limit the number of records for the field in the 'Column' box of the 'Cross-Tab Expert' using the 'Select Expert'.
    - Change the width of the 'Column' field in the Cross-Tab by moving the edges of the field.
    ====================
    How to Insert Fields on Virtual Pages
    You cannot drag-and-drop a field onto a virtual page, you can only do so on the main page. To get a field to appear on a virtual page:
    1. Insert the field on the main page.
    2. Click the 'Preview' tab.
    3. Drag the right edge of the field to the right, onto the virtual page.
    4. Drag the left edge of the field to the right, onto the virtual page.
    Hope this helps!!

    Shweta
