Exchange - iCal - availability on Sunday and Monday

The company has Exchange 2007.
All users that use iCal, iPad and iPhone to access exchange show up as busy on Sunday and Monday when trying to find availability in iCal.
(they show up shaded/grey. If they have appointsments they are shown as well...)
Everything is fine in Outlook on the windows machines.
We have checked the settings in the Outlook Profile and it is the same as the non-Mac users.
Any idea what might be causing this?

What is the version of Exchange server you are having?
Incorrect recurring meeting if disclaimer transport rule is enabled in Exchange Server 2010

If it is Exchange 2013 install the latest Cumulative Update and test it.
It appears this is caused in case disclaimer transport rule is enabled.

I am having a client where the problem is when I send an re-curring meeting notice from my personal email address ( Monday - Friday ), in client calendar it's showing only Sunday and Monday. I have tried to send from other external email address

What system and iPhoto version are you running? What theme are you using.
All of my calendars do have the month starting on Sunday, Don't know of any way to change it. Where are you located?

FIOS Outage due to storms - No technician appointment available until Sunday?

Storms knocked out power in the Richmond VA area on Monday. Power has been restored in most areas but I have no FIOS TV or Internet - I called technical support and they walked me through a manual reboot of the main box but that did not resolve the problem so it appears to be an outside line issue. The representative advised that the earliest tech appointment available is Sunday - 6 days from the beginning of the outage?? I work from home and this is a major deal. The power outages were fairly concentrated in areas so I wonder whether someone at Verizon is assessing and coordinating response as the power company does so that it is most efficient. Is there anything I can do from my end to identify the exact issue? The power company has contractors working in the area - is it possible for Verizon to use the same contractors? Will I be credited for the outage period? Help - Desperate in Richmond

You don't go into the details as to why the account was suspended ... that background might be helpful since you're asking others for their opinion. In general it sounds like the account was "deleted" at which point all mail is bounced because the address no longer exists -- but Verizon holds the name in reserve for some period of time to prevent someone from re-registering it in case an error was made and for some level of security, I suppose.
Anyhow ... on your commentary about not using an @verizon.net address as your primary address ... I think you will have this with many providers. Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail all do this if you terminate the account (they do have a suspended account due to inactivity feature which operates differently, but pretty much do the same thing for deletions and such. I don't use the @verizon.net account as my primary for a different reason however -- my primary address is provider agnostic. I can move providers (although I'm quite happy with FiOS at the moment) -or- if at some point down the road I have to move out of Verizon territory, my email address will not need to change. I used this little fact to my advantage when I moved from Comcast to Verizon a few years ago -- no one knew I changed providers because my email address didn't change. Now .. I don't use one of the free services for email, I own my own domain name (about $10/year from the likes of GoDaddy) and have my domain hosted on the Google Apps tier (but even without that, GoDaddy will do basic forwarding for you of any email address to whatever mail account you're presently using). Something to think about.

ICal sudden extreme lag and eating up all memory in week mode

This was intented to be a question but I found out the answer by the time I finished writing it so if someone out there gets the same problem, I hope this can help them.
I use iStudiez for all my school stuff so I didn't use iCal a lot recently. However, when opening it today, everytime I tried changing weeks in week mode, iCal would lag badly and stop responding for several seconds, eating all the available RAM in the process. I tried to force quit, but the problem reappeared every time.
Turns out iCal doesn't seem to handle "long" events very well. I had a "Nothing" event starting on December 21st, 2012 and ending several years later, and deleting it caused the lagging to stop. I guess iCal tries to load the whole event when it appears in the week view.
Hope this post helps someone or alerts Apple to issue a fix. (I use the latest version of iCal on the latest build of OSX, which as of today is iCal 6.0 on OS X 10.8.2)

Date range sunday to monday

I would like to design a date range query where the beginning of the week is always sunday and the end of the week is always monday. All help is appreciated.

What do you mean by "design a date range"? And " beginning of the week is always sunday and the end of the week is always monday" doesn't make much sense. If it starts Sunday then last day of the week is Saturday. Anyway, nearest Sunday is:
TRUNC(your_date_column + 1,'IW') - 1SY.

AFAIK - and I'm pretty sure about this - you can't change the starting day of the week on the calendar on the iPad.

I want to use the Dataformat on the column to specify which dayname corresponds to weekday. That is
1- Monday
2- Tuesday
7 - Sunday
This works well if I use the function DAYNAME (either in Answers or the BI Server), but the values they give back are not translated. I want the translated versions (from localedefinitions.xml) but then I receive other values in return.
Like this:

To use the DayName format in Answers the input must be a number from 1-7, so first I use the DAYOFWEEK function. I have changed the firstDayOfWeek parameter in localedefinitions.xml but nothing changes (services has been started and stopped..). Any ideas?

I have already tried that too, but it doesn't affect the day of week.. If I use the functions DAYOFWEEK I get the correct result, but it is not translated (to local language from log in). Using the Format on the column is the only way to get the value translated. I changed the FirstDayOfWeek parameter to many value (0,1,2), restarted BI server etc., but nothing changes.
To use the format DayName (on the column) the value must be 1-7, but whatever I do Answers translates (using Format!) 1 - Sunday, 2- Monday etc. The firstDayOfWeek in localedefinitions.xml doesn't affect any of this. Which is very strange. Is this a bug..?

Getting the data between Sunday and Saturday of last week.(DAYS NOT DATES)

I have a stored procedure (that has no parameters right now) and does some extraction of data from different tables. One of the table has a column called 'DeliveryDate'.
Based on the requirements, I have to create an SSRS 2008 R2 Report out of that stored procedure, so that users can see the data of last week from Sunday(Start DAY) to Saturday(End DAY). Even if it is Wednesday today, they should be able to see the data
from Last Sunday to this Saturday. I don't want to get data of Monday, tuesday or wednesday. Also, these values shouldn't be STATIC. Meaning, if one user wanted to see deliveries on 04-15-2011, then he shoud see the values of the previous week (and NOT
CURRENT week)
1. Do I need to create parameters in my stored proc. Are they needed at all ?
2. Should I use DateAdd, Datediff functions (If someone can explain, how will they be calculated!)

If I run the query on 5/4/2014, will it give me 4/27/2014 for Sunday and 5/3/2014 for Saturday? Meaning if I run it on a Sunday, it will give me the previous Sunday and not the current Sunday's date.

Migration Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 with CAS Array and DAG

Dear All,
I am starting the migration of Exchange 2010 2 servers (CAS/Mailbox) with DAG no CAS Array to Exchange 2013 with 2 servers CAS array and 2 Mailbox servers with DAG. I read on some blogs that no requirement of CAS array on Exchange 2013. My concern how to
configure NLB on CAS servers for the client to connect.
Please guide and have any deployment guide for this, kindly share.

As you said there is no use and meaning of having the cas array in exchange 2013 and also thanks a lot to Microsoft for introducing an single namespace facility in exchange 2013.
My suggestion and Microsoft recommendation should be to go with hardware load balancers for exchange 2013 rather than using the windows NLB and round robin method.
Why we need to go for HLB ?

If you use Windows NLB then it can provide redundancy on server level failure and not on application level.
DNS
round robin :-
In case if we use the windows round robin method for load balancing then it wouldn't provide server level
and application level redundancy during the failures.At the Same time we need to manually adjust the DNS records during the server failure but on the client end dns caches will create the issues.

Hi kumar,
In the starting of the program, use the FM
DAY_IN_WEEK
and pass parameter DATUM = SY-DATUM.
Schedule this program to run EVERYDAY.
But using the below logic, it will really run on wednesday and sunday only.
It will return variable WOTNR 1 for monday, 2 for tuesday....7 for sunday.
If WOTNR = 3 or WOTNR = 7.
else.
exit program.
endif.

Currently exchange rate difference is accounting under capital work in progress(Asset)instead of exchange fluctuation.

At MIRO stage, after entering PO number system will automatically populate the GRN value for selection. Here if you found that invoice value, which you have received from the vendor, is more than the system proposed amount, then you can adjust that diff amount in the GL account tab, which is next to PO reference tab in MIRO.
There enter the exch loss GL account and enter the diff amount.

If you're on windows try the following:
This worked for me an hour ago and has allowed me to sync ok. Still haven't tried downloading the new version 5 to the phone yet as I'm still backing up photos etc just in case.
1. Quit itunes
2. Start an elevated command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> right click Command Prompt -> Run as Administrator)
3. Once in the command prompt type the following 3 words starting where your cursor is flashing: netsh winsock reset
4. press ENTER
5. Reboot your machine
6. Restart itunes & connect device to sync
7. Good luck
