Exclude ddic, sap* etc. from Who is who search

Hi all
We configured the Who is who search iview on our SAP EP according to http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/05/a62c42de59da2ce10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm.
The who is who iview is configured to search users in the system UME.
It is working well, but unfortunately the who is who search is configured to find and show ALL users (including ddic, sap* etc.). Does anyone know if it is possible to exclude some users from the who is who result list?
We want to use the who is who search in our portal and we don't want that when you enter a * in the search field you see system, communication etc users in the search result.
As alternative, is it possible to connect the standard who is who search to other infosets?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Regards
Marco

  • How to EXCLUDE the photolibrary etc from SPOTLIGHT indexing?

My PowerBook G4 often runs very hot without end; the Activity Monitor shows Finder and mdworker as the CPU hogs. I assume that it is the Spotlight indexing that is causing the constant activity.
In System Preferences>Spotlight>Privacy I tried to exclude the iPhoto Library (and iTunes files) from being indexed, but these Libraries are greyed out, i.e. I cannot choose them.
While it seems that I can exclude the whole Pictures folder, but when in the Activity Monitor I 'inspect' the 'mdworker' process, and choose the Open Files and Ports tab, in the /user/myname/library the iPhoto library still seems to get indexed.
Any suggestions/pointers would be highly appreciated.
    thanks and cheers,
    Veit

I could be wrong but I don't think it is correct. Maybe if you were adding tons of photos every day but even then I'm not sure that that's how spotlight is supposed to operate. I'm curious as to what would happen if you simply removed your iPhoto library out of where it is now and restarted. Certainly there would be no excuse for spotlight to start indexing the library then. Of course you can move the library back to where it was again and when iphoto starts ups it will find it right away or ask you to go looking for it.
You might have some kind of file corruption. Downloading and reinstalling the OS system software might be a way to go.
Here's a link to another post on the forums. It doesn't address your specific concern but you may find some useful advice there anyway. Good luck.

  • Who will do benefit enrollment? third party or In sap itself? who is the third party vendor?

who will do benefit enrollment? third party or In sap itself? who is the third party vendor?

    Hi Rakesh,
Who should handle benefit enrollement depends on client requirement.
In SAP Benefit Administration module we do have enrollment function.
    Here is the document
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_46c/helpdata/en/7e/8a5f51545711d1891c0000e8322f96/content.htm
Client may chose to only store benefit related information and take help of other third party vendor and use interfaces to communicate it to SAP for payroll and master data maintenance.
Aon Hewitt is one of the well known vendors. Might be more not sure of all names.
    Hope it answers your question.

  • Screensaver pulling images from who knows where...

    All,
I'm a bit confused here. My screen saver used to be an album in my iPhoto. However, seemingly out of nowhere, it was pulling images from who knows where and all over the place.
I have deleted my iPhoto library and re-imported my images and re-made my albums. But, have not fixed the problem. I have also verified and repaired permissions and rebooted also not fixing the problem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try com.apple.screensaver.[long alphanumeric number].plist, if you can find it on your machine. I just changed my Screensaver preferred folder and then did a File Buddy search for .plist files that had been modified in the last 5 minutes, and that one turned up — among a few others. I doubt that the number in your plist's filename would or should be the same as mine, and that's why I didn't include mine above. The path to my file is:
    HD>Users>My username>Library>Preferences>ByHost>file

  • How to exclude the manually create SAP PO from MRP Run?

    Dear all
There is this situation that due to the long procurement lead time, certain PO is created manually in SAP in advance based on the sales order enquiry made by customer. (In normal case, we will create a sales order in SAP and then run MRP to create PR to converted to PO)
Most of the time, customer will confirm their enquiry so that we can create sales Order in SAP and this will make it just in time for our raw material to arrive. However, when the PO is created in advance without triggered by MRP caused by Sales Order, this PO booked quantity is often taken up by the consideration of MRP RUN by other sales order. And if later customer confirms their enquiry and there is no PO stock for this due to this stock is already considered by other sales order.
Is there a way that I can exclude the manually create SAP PO from MRP Run?
    Please advise.

    Dear Csaba Szommer
    Thanks for your reply.
    Sorry for confusing you.
    1. We are in a MAKE TO ORDER (MTO) environment.
    2. There is this situation that due to the long procurement lead time, certain PO is created manually in SAP in advance based on
the sales order enquiry made by customer. (In normal case, we will create a sales order in SAP and then run MRP to create
        PR to converted to PO).
    3. Most of the time, customer ABCwill confirm their enquiry so that we can create sales Order in SAP and this will make it just in
time for our raw material to arrive.
    4. However, for the PO that is created in advance (not created by PR  triggered by MRP caused by Sales Order), this PO
On Order Quantity is often taken up by the consideration of MRP RUN by other sales orders.
    5. It creates problem that if later this customer ABC confirms his enquiry and we create SAP Sales Order in the system, the
stock of PO created previously is already  eaten up by other sales orders.
We are using MTO and do not use Forecast. And MTO Strategy is set at the material master level and as such I do not think we can simply modify the MRP Strategy to suit this unique case, as for the very same material, in one PO it should be considered by MRP but in another PO, it should be excluded from MRP Run.
Is there a way that I can exclude the manually create SAP PO (for the case of Customer ABC email enquiry without creating Sales Order in the System first) from MRP Run?

    Hi,
All mentioned options are possible to access SAP Business One, like:
Static IP address for SAP B1 server
    Citrix (application or remote desktop)
VPN (you can even setup a simple PPTP, L2TP or OpenVPN). But please be aware that VPN is not recommended by SAP way of connection to ERP systems
There is the fourth nice alternative to avoid VPN and RDP in case you can't use both of them (because of, for instance, local network security settings that blocks you to setup a connection). You can setup HTML Clientless RDP connection at your main server of the remote network (it is even not necessary your SAP B1 server, you should do it on the main machine that has static IP):
Guacamole - HTML5 Clientless Remote Desktop
In this case you will get the RDP connection to your client or server machine with SAP B1 from any kind of network and any kind of device with no additional client setup. It is even work from the mobile phone, but, of course, the screen it too small
Here is how it looks like (in my local browser):
    Kind Regards,
    Siarhei

  • Display Photo in Employee Who is who search

    Hi,
We are planning to display the photo of an employee in the employee Who is Who search
Please let me know the procedure to do the same and points will be rewarded for sure
    Thanks
    Bala Duvvuri

    hi bala,
    Link photo to personnel number
    Transaction code OAAD
Click on the Create – Store and Assign button. Enter Business Object PREL and Document Type HRICOLFOTO. Click on create(F8).
Enter the Personnel Number of the employee you want to link the photo to. Choose also the infotype that you wish the photo to be displayed on (not sure how relevant this is. It works if you use 0002 but should also work if left blank. Suspect is only relevant if you wanted to store different photos for different infotypes)
    Click on Continue.
Enter the path and filename of the photo. The dropdown will allow you to navigate to the appropriate directory.
SAP will notify you that the Stored document is created successfully and you end up with something like:
If you get an error 401 to do with missing authorisations, then try and redo the above step. It often only happens the first time you try and load the photo.

    Features
This iView displays the employees in the manager’s area of responsibility, that is, employees who report either directly or indirectly to the manager. The display is based on the SAP application component Organizational Management.
You can provide managers with various display options in this iView. To do this, you make the relevant Customizing settings in the back-end system (see the "Prerequisites” section) and in the iView properties (see the “Settings” section). Managers can also filter the data that is displayed.
You can provide managers in your company with all or some of the following display options:
    ●     Display employees for one or more organizational units
Organizational units are displayed in a separate navigation area in which the manager can select the relevant organizational unit. You have the following display options for the navigation area:
    ○     List display
The system displays organizational units in a list. This view is suitable if the manager is responsible for only a few organizational units.
    ○     Hierarchy display
The system displays organizational units in a hierarchy. This is suitable if the manager is responsible for a large number of organizational units, or for part of the overall organizational structure.
    ●     Display directly reporting employees in a list
This view is suitable for managers located on a higher level in the hierarchy who require quick access to directly reporting employees.
    ●     Search for employees
The search function is useful for managers who are responsible for a large number of employees. The simple search function in the standard system provides managers with the following search criteria:
    ○     First name
    ○     Middle name
    ○     Last name
    ○     Personnel number
The enhanced search function also includes the following search criteria:
    ○     Organizational unit
    ○     Personnel area
    ○     Personnel subarea
You can define additional search criteria in Customizing.
    Integration
This iView is part of the General Information, Compensation Information, and Personnel Development pages. The iViews on these pages are called by a single Web Dynpro application. In the standard system they are not standalone applications, as users select most data for all iViews on a page, centrally using the Employee Search iView.
Managers select an employee in the Employee Search iView. Using Eventing, the Floorplan Manager informs the remaining iViews on the page that a new employee has been selected. The iViews obtain the personnel number of the selected employee and display the relevant information for this employee.
In the standard system, the Employee Search iView is integrated with the following iViews on the pages previously mentioned:
    ●     Managers can use the following iViews to display further information for the selected employee:
    ○     General Data
Additionally, the Organizational Assignments iView is available by hyperlink from the General Data iView.
    ○     Personal Data
    ○     Monitoring of Tasks
    ○     Absence Days
    ○     Photo
    ○     Company Property
    ○     Archived Documents
    ○     Salary Development
    ○     Salary Survey Data
    ○     Salary Data
    ○     Compensation Adjustments
    ○     Long-Term Incentives
    ○     Appraisals
    ○     Profile Matchup and Required Training
    ○     Training Activities
    ○     Qualifications
    ●     Using the Additional Activities iView, managers can request data changes for a selected employee, or run an Employee Self-Service application for this employee.
For more information about how you can include the Employee Search iView in other locations in your portal, see the documentation for the Business Package for Self-Service Administrator.
    Prerequisites
    ●     The general prerequisites for business package are fulfilled.
    ●     You are using the SAP application components Personnel Administration (PA-PA) and Organizational Management (PA-OM). The components are integrated with one another in your SAP ERP system.
    ●     In Customizing for Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP), you have made the settings in the Object and Data Provider section

  • Executing a sap "program" from WD

    Hi,
Before I have been able to do sap queries from WD using the RSAQ_REMOTE_QUERY_CALL fm. Now I'm trying to run a program called RMCY6010 using the SUBMIT_REPORT function module, but unlike to RSAQ_REMOTE_QUERY_CALL  there is not any option to choose data_to_memory in this fm. Then it is not possible to save the results to memory and map these to context variables in WD.
Anyone who knows if this still can be done from a WD application? Is there another fm to use?
    Best regards
    Øyvind

    Hi Øyvind,
I am sorry that I am not able to answer your question. However, I am calling RSAQ_REMOTE_QUERY_CALL, which you used before, and cannot get variant set to the correct value. I keep on getting NO_VARIANT error. I have tried "*", "", and "STANDARD". In thread,  , there is a similar discussion, but I prefer to use an FM to achieve it. Thanks.
    Regards,
    David
Note: My question is answered. Forget about it. Thanks.

  • HT4796 recently purchaced a macbook pro and cannot transfer music, contacts, notes etc. from my iphone 4 onto my new macbook pro!! please help

Im a ex windows vista user, who evently became fed up and converted to a macbook pro. i just purchesed the macbook pro yesterday and have been trying to transfer all my music, contacts, notes, apps, etc. from my iphone 4 onto my new macbook pro. nothing seem to be working without it trying to erase all my info off of my iphone 4. I didnt think this would be a issue where they are both apple devices, but im now starting to regret the decision to purchace this macbook pro. please help me so i dont loose all my info trying to sync both devices. thanks for you help and advice

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
You can only sync the iPhone with one Mac or PC, so your Mac is asking you to erase the device because you synced it with another Mac or PC. To avoid this, I recommend you to copy the "iTunes" folder of your old Mac or PC (in Music folder) to the Music folder of your Mac, so you'll have the same data on your Mac as the data you had on the PC.
To transfer contacts, notes, etc., I recommend iCloud > http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

  • Who's Who Search in ESS

    Hello,
In ESS in our EP 7 SP10 portal environment, the "who's who" search does not work properly.  A lot of times people are missing that should be there.  We think we have ruled out this being a security issue because we have used a broad sample of users.  Has anyone else experienced this?
    Thank you for your time,
    Erin Byrne

    hey
how we solved it is from the ABAP side.
    login to R/3
    follow the below given path.
Personnel Management -> Employee Self-Service -> Employee Self Service (ITS Version) -> ESS Settings for Specific Services -> Life & Work Event
this way you can add or remove or edit the fields..

  • Excluding a org unit from showing in the hierarchy

    (Nakisa OrgChart 4.1, Live)
    Hello again,
I'm trying to exclude an org unit from showing in the org hierarchy. I was thinking that the 'Data filter' option in the org chart set up would serve this purpose.
I tried several ways (id below is the actual ID of the org unit I'm trying to hide):
    ORGUNIT_ID <> 'id'
    ORGUNIT_ID != 'id'
    ORGUNIT_ID IS NOT  'id'
I did the above with and without quotes, single or double.
None of them seem to work. The data filter seems to be ambiguous at best. Will I have to hardcode this in the data element xml (or worse, in the function module) for this to work?
    Thanks,
    M.E.

    Hi Stephen,
Yes this is what the org unit I want to exclude is called. I'm actually wondering when the filtering is supposed to happen. Is it at the extraction of the data in the FM? I took a look at the FM  /NAKISA/OC_OU_STRUCTURE and I could not see a filtering logic anywhere in the code. I saw some authority checks though, and I'm wondering if the following method would work:
    - in the SAP side, exclude the org unit from the area of responsibility of the RFC user (an RFC user is used in all the data connections)
    - modify the parameters of the /NAKISA/OC_OU_STRUCTURE FM so that an area of responsibility check is performed (parameter AOR_CHECK set to 'X') on the RFC user (parameter IM_UNAME set to the RFC User's uname).
    What do you think?
    Thanks
    M.E.

  • Pre-fill Office documents with SAP data from WebDynPro screens

I have a requirement to have Word/Excel type file templates that we can open and have pre-filled with data attributes from SAP objects.
I know that we can do this relatively easily from within the SAP GUI in transactions such as SCASE etc... but our solution needs to have this type of functionality invoked from WebDynPro screens that are delivered through the Portal.
We have looked at Adobe Document Services which will give us the fucntionality as described, but because of licencing constraints we are unable to use ADS at this stage.
Does anyone have any knowledge or ideas on how we may achieve pre-filling of Word templates etc. from WebDynPro screens?

    Paul,
Did you figure out how to do this? We have a very similar requirement now. Appreciate any suggestions you may have.
    Thanks

  • SAP Script from FM

am calling a SAP Script from FM, in this SAP script there are some variables used the values to these variables are assigned inside FM. but these are not getting displayed. where as when I am calling the FM from report program the values are getting displayed

    1. You can print the data by using report program or application(through assingment in NACE)
    2. When you want to print some standard SAP application like pur. order , sales order this you will do with NACE and you fire the print from that application transaction like ME21, ME22, VA01 etc.
    3. Next is through stand alone transaction or program that is a report program thorugh which you will call the OPEN_FORM, WRITE_FORM, CLOSE_FORM and print the output.
I think in your case, you are print through report program. If you want to write some data from print program to layout you should call WRITE_FORM by passing window and text elements.
even when you are calling sap script from some other wrapper function module also, it calls and prints the data in the form.
But ultimatly you should print the data by using report program or standard sap application method.
    Thanks,
