Excluding certain objects for automatic code inspection

Greetings,
We have turned on the automatic use of Code Inspector when releasing a transport. In general, this works how we want. None the less, there are certain programs that we want to exclude from being checked by Code Inspector. Specifically, code provided by external vendors are failing the DEFAULT code inspector variant. While I'd like to force the vendor to adhere to our controls, this is not practicial. My question is can we exclude code inspection of certain objects ??

Hi Cinci,
If you have MAX 4.2.1, it sounds like you have installed the newest version of DAQmx. It's true that this version does not support LabVIEW 7.0. I'm not sure why you would have installed DAQmxBase. You will need to use DAQmx 8.0.1 or older with LabVIEW 7. It is available for download here. You will need to uninstall the version of DAQmx that is currently installed on your computer before installing this older version.

I'd like to inquire if there is a way to exclude certain objects from appearing in RHSTRU00? For example,
Organization XYZ contains 3 org units:
Organization A - contains Position A - Employee A
Organization B - contains Position B - Employee B
Organization C - contains Position c - Employee C
Organization XYZ - contains Position XYZ - Employee XYZ
When using the eval path O-S-P with root object Organization XYZ, is there a way to exclude Position XYZ - Employee XYZ from the report output?

Yes, You can exclude the Position when executing the Report RHSTRU00 using Evaluation Path O-S-P.
Click on "Change Structure Conditions" Push button and give the following under structure conditions (Object Filter)
Check Object Type - Root Object Type - Root Object ID - Evaluation Path - Status
S - O - XXXXXXX - O-S-P - 1
Click on Continue.
Then execute. You can see the Positions are not displayed in the report.

Is there any table for see Authorization object for Function code?

Hi,
I am facing problem in finding autho. object for function code.
My problem is, in tcode cor2 there is function Approval (in Menubar->process order->function->approval), I want to restrict this to some users.
So is there any way or table to see function code's authorization object..

I such scenario the best way is to run trace (ST01) and analyse to find used/missing authorization objects.

Replicating simple Java objects for automatic failover

Is there a way to replicate a simple java object that is bound from JNDI
          across all servers so that if the primary server fails, it will
          automatically failover?
          We have a java client that uses JNDI to access EJBs on WLS5.1 SP8. In order
          to determine client information, the client currently binds a simple java
          class in the JNDI tree. The Entity and Session beans use the caller
          principal to locate the object in order to access client-information for
          such things as record locking, logging, etc..
          We have to move this architecture to a cluster environment and we are
          wondering how we can replicate this object across cluster servers so that
          failover is handled automatically, and that it is still accessible through
          JNDI.
          An RMI replicated stub is not enough, since it only works as long as the
          server hosting the RMI object is alive.
          I'd like to add that the object is created and bound at client start-up and
          destroyed at client exit.

That's what I figured. I guess the only solution in this case is to persist
          the object during client sessions. I was hoping for something simpler, but I
          guess I'll have to create an Entity Bean and everything else that comes with
          it.

Alternatively you can go to SE16-- enter the table name TSTCA, then enter the T CODE, you will get the object related to that T Code.

Click Change button
You might have to seek help of an FI consultant to do so.
Also in KA01 create this G/L account as a cost element against your controlling area assigned to your Chart of Accounts, you can do so by clicking on Extra's tab in transaction KA01

Yes Object is some sort of table name in DMS.
Like to link WBS PRPS is object , for Asset Master AENR , for Purchase Order Item EKPO for Sale document item VBAP etc..
you can find the same in DC10 Transaction " Define object links" or Maintain object link descriptions.
If it is not available in standard then you have to go for small abap enhancement to create that object link.

Business object for Automatic Run in FICO

In Automatic run the work flow has to trigger when the status as ' Proposal is ready to be started / created ' in Transaction F110 and then post the payment in workflow. Please let me know if any business object is avalable for that. If we can trigger the workflow through the Business Transaction Event means, let me know the procedure and the parameters for the Business Transaction events.

Try BTE, process 00001860. Sample FM SAMPLE_PROCESS_00001860. There is no specific business object for this as far I know, therefore you can build your own or start a WF directly.

Authorization object for company code and profit center together

Hi all,
Please help me with the following requirement..
Company Code = ABCD
Profit Center = *
The user is authorized to run the report for company code ABCD only but any profit center within this company code.
2 Company Code = *
Profit Center = WXYZ
The user is authorized to run the report for Profit Center WXYZ only but any company code.
3 Company Code = *
Profit Center = *
The user is authorized to run the report for any company code and profit center.
The same user could have 1 and 2. So, in this case he should be able to run a report for the total inventory of company code ABCD, and a report for total inventory of profit center WXYZ only regardless company code.
He should not have visibility to other company codes inventory other then profit center WXYZ.

Excluding some objects Solution Documentation Assistant Analysis

Is there a way to exclude certain objects ( transaction codes/programs etc .. for example SE* ) while running an Analysis in SolDocA ? We have numerous Informatica generated objects that need to go into this exclusion list. The intention is that these objects wont appear in the Analysis report. The names of these objects are like ZDW####.

The Solution Documentation Assistant(SDA) Analysis is based on an Analysis Project which has been created e.g. from a Solution Manager project. Assuming that your transactions etc. for which you won't perform an Analysis for are assigned only to certain business processes or scenarios, you might exclude these structures and sub-structures during the creation of an Analysis Project. With regards to the report you can exclude such objects for the structure results as described above. As the report contains also objects from the Analysis Summary, you would need to remove the whole section or the few tables or the entries you don't want to have in manually from a copy of the report. In case you want to have a list without such objects from a summary table you might use filter functions before doing the export of the table.

Moving an object for certain states?

I want to move an object for about 5 of my states but leave it where it is for about 5 other states.
What is the best way to do this?
I don't really want to try and move it the same distance every time. Is there a way to move something that it does the same thing for certain other states?

The exact manipulations you are looking for are not available in Catalyst. Here are some (partial) workarounds.
To make an object the same in StateY as in StateX, you can remove it from StateY and then share it from StateX. This can mess with animations attached to the object, so be mindful of that.
You can create multiple default transitions of a given length by selecting the transitions in the timeline, and clicking the disclosure arrow by "Smooth Transition".
