Excluding characteristic values dynamically during runtime

Hi guys, I need to do the following for a report I'm trying to create:
I have the following Key Figures:
"<= 10 days"
"> 10 days"
I am trying to drilldown by a characteristic value such as Material.
So, for the first Key Figure (<= 10 days), I may get:
Material 1
Material 2
Material 3
For the second Key Figure (> 10 days), I may get:
Material 3
Material 4
Material 5
What I want to do here, is to exclude the values under Key Figure "<= 10 days", from being repeated in the Key Figure "> 10 days".
So I want it like this:
Material    <=10days      >10days
Material1         1                     0
Material2         1                     0
Material3         1                     0* <----- I want this to be excluded in the 2nd Key Figure
Material4         0                     1
Material5         0                     1
Does anyone have any idea how to go about doing this?
Edited by: Hskok on Aug 6, 2010 8:58 AM

Hi Rakesh,
In more specific terms, the key figures are actually restricted by a date range, e.g., 08.2010 and 07.2010
The value can belong to both dates in this case, such as:
Material 07.2010 08.2010
Material3 1 1
What I need is to show the material only in the most recent bucket.
In other words, if the material has appeared in the key figure containing 08.2010, I want to exclude this material from displaying in the key figure in 07.2010.
Does that make sense?

  • Embed fonts in dynamic TLF textfied which is created during runtime!!

    Hi Experts,
    I have two TLF textfileds in my application. The first TLF textfield is on the stage and the second one is created dynamically during runtime. Now I am able to embed the fonts in the first TLF textfield by using "use device fonts" since it is on stage. The flash player the rendering the data absolutely fine. I want to get the same look and feel for the second TLF textfield which is created dynamically during runtime. I tried so many ways. But it still seems ugly. Please help me out.
    Here is the code I am trying.
                var fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();                    //Text Format
                fmt.color = 0x000000;
                fmt.font = "Verdana";
                fmt.size = 14;
                fmt.align="left";
                fmt.bold = true;
                txt.defaultTextFormat = fmt;                                  //txt is a textfield which is on stage
                txt.text = e.target.xml..textField_stage;//textField_stage is a node in the xml
                txt.wordWrap = true;
                var tlf:TLFTextField=new TLFTextField();
                tlf.x = 80;
                tlf.y= 80;
                tlf.width = 290;
                tlf.height = 200;
                tlf.selectable=false;
                tlf.mouseEnabled=false;
                tlf.mouseChildren=false;
                tlf.wordWrap = true;
                addChild(tlf);
                tlf.defaultTextFormat = fmt;
                tlf.text = e.target.xml..textField_runtime;               //textField_runtime is a node in the xml
    Thanks for your help,
    srinivas

    to embed fonts dynamically, you need to add a font your library (click the library panel's upper right, click new font, select your font, select your characters, tick export for actionscript and assign a class name - eg, VerdanaClass).
    you would then use:
                var fmt:TextFormat = new TextFormat();                    //Text Format
    var verdana:Font=new VerdanaClass();
                fmt.color = 0x000000;
                fmt.font = verdana.fontName;
                fmt.size = 14;
                fmt.align="left";
                fmt.bold = true;
                txt.defaultTextFormat = fmt;                                  //txt is a textfield which is on stage
                txt.text = e.target.xml..textField_stage;//textField_stage is a node in the xml
                txt.wordWrap = true;
                var tlf:TLFTextField=new TLFTextField();
    tlf.embedFonts=true;
                tlf.x = 80;
                tlf.y= 80;
                tlf.width = 290;
                tlf.height = 200;
                tlf.selectable=false;
                tlf.mouseEnabled=false;
                tlf.mouseChildren=false;
                tlf.wordWrap = true;
                addChild(tlf);
                tlf.defaultTextFormat = fmt;
                tlf.text = e.target.xml..textField_runtime;               //textField_runtime is a node in the xml

  • How to create a radio button in dynpro during runtime?

    Hi guys!
    How can i create radio buttons in dynpro during runtime??
    any ideas?
    thanks!!

    Hi Thomas,
    I think as of now there is no possibility to create a Radio Button Dynamically during runtime. But of course, there is a work around which I feel you can evaluate.
    If your business requirement demands that you need to have a Radiobutton, you can use the subscreen to place the Radiobutton and later based on your need you can call that screen to enable that button to the user and to make it available.
    Hope this will help.
    Thanks,
    Samantak.

  • User Exit/Enhancement to populate the characteristic value during runtime in FB50

    Hi
    I have a requirement where in FB50 when I enter the GL Account , Tax Code, Tax Jurisdiction code and Assignment and press enter  I need to default some of the characteristics value (which comes in the popup when you click on the Profit. Sgment ).
    Please let me know if any enhance or exit is there to achieve this.
    FB50 screen.
    When I enter the GL account and click on Profit Segment button below popup will come . I want to default Rebate field with some value.
    Thanks,
    Sumit

    Hi Gangadhar...
    Thanks for your reply. Actually our requirement is not with the fixed values .
    We need that , when we go to FB50 and then provide the GL account and there is one column called 'Assignment'. As soon as we fill the value in assignment column and then if I click on Profit. Segment button for that row the value from the 'Assignment' column should get populated in the Rebate characteristic value field.
    For eg.
    As I gave Assignment field value as 1234 and when I click on Profit. Segment button the Rebate characteristics value should get populated with 1234.
    Please suggest.
    Thanks
    Sumit.

  • Can I create a dynamic number of inputs during runtime?

    Can I create a dynamic number of inputs during runtime?
    Oracle 11g
    Application Express 4.0.2.00.06
    Here is my problem:
    We have a table that holds metadata about files (hardcopy or softcopy files).
    We expect we may need more columns in the table at some point and don't want to modify the table or the application.
    So in order to do this I would like to create:
    A table called TBL_FILE with the columns:
    TBL_FILE_ID               NUMBER                (This will be the primary key)
    TBL_FILE_NAME          VARCHAR2(1000) (This will be the name of the file)
    A second table will be called TBL_FILE_META with the columns:
    TBL_META_ID               NUMBER               (This will be the primary key)
    TBL_FILE_ID               NUMBER                (This will be the forign key to the file table)
    TBL_META_COLUMN     VARCHAR2(30)     (This is what the column name would be if it existed in TBL_FILE)
    TBL_META_VALUE          VARCHAR2(1000) (This is the value that record and the 'would be' column)
    So a person can have as much meta data on the file with out having to add columns to the table.
    The problem is how can I allow users to add as much data as they like with out having to re develop the page.
    Other things to note is that we would like this to be on a single page.
    I know how to add we can create multi-row inserts by using a SQL Query (updateable report),
    however the TBL_META_VALUE column in the TBL_FILE_META will sometimes be a select list and other times a text box or number field.
    So I don't see now a SQL Query (updateable report) would work for this and I can't create an array of page items at run time can I?
    Any idea's how I could accomplish this? Is there a better way of doing this?
    Also is there a term or a name for what I am doing by creating these 'virtual' columns in another table?
    I found this method when looking at Oracles Workflow tables.

    Creating Page Items dynamically is not available. You will have to create excess items and hide/show , etc. But you cannot change the Item Type. All in all, too many limitations in this approach.
    >
    Other things to note is that we would like this to be on a single page.
    >
    The 100 item limit will hit you if you go with extra item on page. With Tabular Form that should not be a limitation, unless you are exceeding the 50 item limit of APEX_APPLICATION.G_Fnn items, and the 60 column limitation of Report region with "Use Generic Column Names (parse query at runtime only)" of Dynamic region.

    If the type if item is variable it only means you need a way to store the item type. Meta Data of the Meta Data.

    >
    Yes, you can do it. Updatable report/ Tabular Form query can be constructed from the Meta Data using PL/SQL Function Returning SQL Query . It will be a bit of coding in PL/SQL where you use the Meta Data and the Meta Data of the Meta Data to piece together your SELECT with the right APEX_ITEMs. It might have a performance penalty associated with it, but will not be a serious degradation.

    I guess that is just a good TNF. It is the Master-Detail Design Pattern, that sound more modern ? ;)

  • Free Form Template and Combining Chart Values during Runtim

    Hi Guys,
    Need your expertise on this.  We received some unreasonable request for the following:
    1. Free Form Template DURING Runtime
    - moving charts from one place to another by dragging them from one place to another during runtime
    2. Combining of Chart values during Runtime
    -to be able to mash-up 2 different charts during runtime.  For example, dragging a chart to another chart
    would result to a combined-value of chart.  For instance, you have a Sales Chart and a Production Chart,
    if and when Sales Chart is dragged and placed on top of Production Chart then it would mash-up the values
    and will produce only one chart.
    Is this even possible?
    Hope you guys can help.
    Kind Regards and Many Thanks,
    Mark

    Hi Mark
    1. Free form template is not possible with current version of Dashboard Designer.  You may use the option of Dynamic Visibility to simulate this.  But this might not serve your requirement 100 %.
    2. Your requirement of mixing up chart just by dragging and droping on another is coming under Designing part.  For designing we need software, in my point of view.  Xcelsius is a Tool to generate required output in various formats.  Here we need to finalise the output such as chart type/ data to be displayed/ format to be displayed, etc and while viewing we may play with data but not with objects other than dynamic visibility.
    Hope this clarifies.
    With best wishes

  • How to pass the Bound values to VO SQL Query during runtime?

    Hi all,
    I have the following sql query;
    SELECT NOTIFICATION_ID
    FROM xx_NOTIFICATION_V
    WHERE COMPANY = NVL(:1, COMPANY)
    AND INITIATOR = NVL(:2,INITIATOR)
    AND PAYGROUP = NVL(:3, PAYGROUP)
    AND SOURCE = NVL(:4, SOURCE)
    AND SUPPLIER_NAME = NVL(:5,SUPPLIER_NAME)
    AND TRX_DATE BETWEEN NVL(:6,TRX_DATE)
    AND NVL(:7,TRX_DATE)
    If i click GO button on search page then it pass the selected Poplists values as a Bound values to VO Sql query at runtime after this I store the search results in a Table(Which is created by using New Region Wizard).
    I want to pass the Bind parameter values to VO SQL query during runtime and :1,:2,:3,:4,:5,:6,:7 values are coming from Poplists.
    I search through forum I found many threads regarding Bind Values but those all are passing ID's only not String(Varchar) values.
    How to pass the Character values to VO Query.
    Please anyone help me on this.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Accessing values during runtime in value mapping

    Hi all,
    We have a specific requirement , where in we have a set of fields coming from the source system. All the fields have values expect few. The few which don't have values are reserved for future use, and for each source field there is a corresponding target value and we need map them.
    We have used value mapping here, but it doesn't work for fields which don't have values.
    We have thought of  accessing the fields which do not have values, dynamically or at runtime by connecting the database of the source system.
    Is it possible to do this, if yes, please provide with your inputs and alternatives.
    thanks,
    younus

  • Dynamic class casting during runtime

    I'm reading parameters for my application from the configuration file. Then in the code I should dynamically during the runtime make class cast:
    (instead of having String in the code, I should cast the object to the class that was
    defined in the configuration file.)
    String tmp = (String) object;
    Could somebody provide an example how can I do this? I have understood I could use reflection API for this problem.

    I am not sure that I understand what you are asking correctly, but it might be something that bothered me some time ago.
    My problem was that I wrote names of Classes (as Stings) into a file, and later wanted to be able to initialize a specific object of the class based on String names that were read from that file.(sorry if this is confusing).
    I was programing a Chess simulator. All figures were subclasses of the class Figure, and were named Peon, Queen...)
    I wanted to make a new Peon object, for every "Peon" String that was read from the file, and to make an new Queen object for every "Queen" in the file and so on.
    I used something like this:
    String objectName = in.readUTF(); //or some other way to get a String
    Figure f = (Figure) Class.forName(objectName).newInstance(); Class.forName(String name) returns a object of class Class that represents all objects of type name.
    And invoking .newInstance() gives you a new object of the class that is being represented by the object of class Class that you invoked .newInstance() on.
    Sorry - migth be confusing again but i think it is correct.
    This call to .newInstance() calls the default no-argument constructor...
    There is no way to call a argument containing constructor with .newInstance()

  • Update COPA characteristic values during order settlement -  KO88

    Hi,
    We need to update some COPA characteristic values during order settlement using T-code KO88.
    Looked for options in KEDR transaction, did not find any exits.
    Could some one help us to resolve this issue.
    Thanks
    Vikram

    Hello and thanks for your response.
    We have actually created the new characteristic (WWCRE) and we are populating it in the user exit.  I think the issue is that the characteristic may be 05012010 at the time of the sales order, but it is 04012010 at the time of billing.
    Unfortunately, the PAOBJNR in the billing doc is the same as the order and the user exit doesn't seem to accept the changed value or create a new entry in the CE tables.
    For example, if I change the sales order to cause a new WWCRE value, the system automatically generates a new PAOBJNR but at the time of billing, regardless of changes to the values, it simply keeps the old PAOBJNR from the sales order and doesn't reflect the changes.
    I hope that makes some sense.  Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

  • Change values in File physical schema during runtime?

    Is there any way to change the Directory in physical schema
    during runtime?
    This is needed so that we can dynamically get the files from
    different locations.
    Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi,
    Yes there is:
    Create your physical schema to a parent directory and, at Physical Resourse (File Datastore) use a variable before the name of the file.
    Compose the variable with the "child" directory. I like to create the path on execution time.
    Does it help you?

  • How to pick a field value from transaction during runtime

    Hi,
    I have an exit which allows creation of po without purch. req. for selected Purchasing Document Types.
    similarly the exit should also allow the creation po's with item categories 'L and  U' even without pr's.
    now my problem is how to pick the value of this  item category during runtime so as to put the check.
    your suggestions are valued.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    if you have the new debugger, you can see the global variables that you can use in your exit (putting a break point on your code), so you can found easly the structure or field that contains your informations.
    I hope that's useful for u,

    Hi Experts,
    We are facing an issue with Workflows. Whenever I restart a WF that has already ended up in Error, I need to pass it Certain Container Element Values Dynamically as it restarts the same WF again with the same Container values and it again ends up in Error. Is it possible that I can change these values during Runtime.
    I have searched few SAPNotes also but could not find some Solution. Is anyone has worked on this Scenario before please respond.
    Is this Possible.. Because this is the only way how we can allow that background Process to work.

    No, but you can build F4 help on the fly at runtime based off another field.
    For example, in this program, the user enters the sales order number, and then when they do F4 on the line item, they can only choose from valid line item numbers.

  • How to map nodes to an embedded Component during runtime?

    Hi,
    I embed a Component (<i>BasisComponent</i>) in a new created Component (<i>MyComponent</i>) to use some funcionality from it. Therefor, I have to map some ValueNodes from <i>MyComponent</i> to <i>BasisComponent</i> during designtime to transfer the data. I thought, I could use External-Context-Mapping for that. That means I've created a ValueNode in <i>BasisComponent</i>'s InterfaceController and declared it for ExternalContextMapping (let's call it <i>ExtNode</i>.
    Because I want to use this basis functionality from different embedding Components (<i>MyComponent1, MyComponent2</i>, etc.), I can't declare the structure of <i>BasisComponents ExtNode</i> yet, it's just an empty ValueNode.
    Now, I want to map from my using Components their different ValueNodes to <i>BasisComponents ExtNode</i>.
    How to do that? Or is there another possibility to put different value-nodes from different components to the same Node in my <i>BasisComponent</i>? Can this be done during designtime? I believe it can be definitively done during runtime....
    kr, achim

    Achim,
    Let me use your example and explain what in fact will work when you are creating attributes/nodes only at design time.
    Let us define context in BasicComponent as:
    - MyRoot (0..n, selection 0..1, singleton)
    |-MyInt (int)
    |-MyString (string)
    Say, ComponentA has the following context structure:
    - rootNode (0..n, selection 0..1, singleton)
    |-attA (int)
    |-attB (string)
    |-attX (string)
    --attC
    Then you can easly map rootNode of ComponentA to MyRoot of BasicComponent, attA -> MyInt, attB -> MyString, attX left is not used for mapping.
    =============
    Same is true for ComponentB with
    - RootOfBNode (0..n, selection 0..1, singleton)
    |-attIgnored (date)
    |-attA_INT (int)
    |-attB_STR (string)
    |-attY (string)
    --attZ
    ComponentB.RootOfBNode -> CU of BasicComponent.MyRoot, attA_INT -> MyInt, attB_STR -> MyString, attY and attIgnored are not used for mapping.
    =============
    However, if context of ComponentA is defined as
    - rootNode (<b>0..1</b>, selection 0..1, singleton)
    |-attA (int)
    |-attB (string)
    |-attX (string)
    --attC
    ...then you are out of luck -- wrong cardinality of node.
    Moreover, this case also fails
    - rootNode (0..n, selection 0..1, singleton)
    |-attA (string)
    |-attB (string)
    |-attX (string)
    --attC
    Here all attributes are strings so mappings will be incomplete. To fix this you need at least fake attribute in rootNode.
    And mostly important fact: if you can't map nodes in designer due to mismatch context structures the any dynamic (at run-time) mapping will fail as well in majority of cases.
