Exclusion mask - multiple exclusions

Hello Experts,
I've a folder where 4 types of CSV files will be put in:
REC.5499740508504.541448800xxxx.<timestamp>.csv
REC.5499740508504.541448900xxxx.<timestamp>.csv
REC.5499740508504.54144969999xx.<timestamp>.csv
REC.5499740508504.541449000xxxx.<timestamp>.csv
2 of those types must be picked up by the sender adapter:
REC.5499740508504.541448900xxxx.<timestamp>.csv & REC.5499740508504.54144969999xx.<timestamp>.csv
So, I filled in my Unix source directory and File Name: REC*
Afterwards, I filled in the Exclusion Mask: REC.5499740508504.541448800*
And I added a line:
Directory: same as source directory
File Name Mask: same as File Name: REC*
Exclusion Mask: REC.5499740508504.541449000xxxx.<timestamp>.csv (the other one I filled in with the Exclusion Mask above)
This does not work. Can I add multiple exclusion masks without explicitly add directory lines?

Hi,
Try this config.
Give *.txt in filename. and Directory as <YourDir>
In exclusion mask give 111ACC.txt
Below this there will be a table. Add two Entries
Dont add anything to FilenameMask.
Directory ->FileNameMask--->ExclusionMask
<yourDir>->--->111INV.txt
<YourDir>->--->111PUR.txt
Try this and get back.

h have big movieclip 450X350 and there are many small thumbnails i need to mask those from big movieclip, I need to animate those so that i can't put those in a single movieclip, Is it possible to mask multiple movieclips from single movieclip...?

If you want to mask them using Actionscript then you should be able to place them inside a movieclip/sprite as separate animations/movieclips and then assign the mask to the container.

Hi,
I understand (at least a little) about how masking works. As far as I see it reveals layer underneath it.
What I am wondering if there is some ways to reveals different(multiple layers) layers or masking is done only on one layer.
I have searched and some pages suggest it is possible to mask multiple layers but it doesnt actually show any examples or step by step tutorials.
Any help would be appreciated,

How to Mask Multiple Paths?

I need to apply a single gradient mask to two or more path
layers (which are filled with a color) but I don't see an easy way.
In Photoshop you can apply a layer mask to a folder but that
doesn't work in FW.
I tried grouping the two path layers and applying the mask.
That works but if I want to edit the paths later I have to ungroup
everything and then I lose my mask. How to put it all back together
again without actually redoing the mask eludes me.
Is there an easy way to apply a gradient mask to two or more
path/vector layers?

mc.samsungace.mask=mc.msk
but these thumbs are is not showing masked.

Is this not possible to mask all movieclips through one movieclip, without putting movieclips into single movieclip.??

Yes. Make sure to include all the movie clips you want to
mask inside
of a single movie clip, then mask that "container" movie
clip.

Masking multiple layers with one mask

Is there any way to do this???
When I setup template files for say... thumbnail images with rounded corners and a dropshadow, I preffer to do this the way that Photshop and imagready allow you to do it > creat a shape and use it to mask whichever layers above it. That way if I choose to make it one or two pixels wider, I just do it to the masking layer and resave the tumbnails out. As far as I can tell Fireworks makes you create a different mask for every layer so you would have to change it in every layer... not the best work flow!

My imagination doesn't lead me to a solution using the animation features. How about a custom Command that creates an instant mask with shadow? Let's say I've got a stack of Bitmaps sitting on the canvas. I hide all but the one on top, and then draw a shape I want to mask them with. I'll use a star Auto Shape as an example. If I Shift + Select the bitmap and the star Auto shape, and then choose Modify > Mask > Group as Mask, the bitmap gets clipped to the shape of the star, and the Group as Mask step gets recorded by the History panel. If I then select the now star shaped bitmap, I can add a drop shadow to it. The drop shadow step is also recorded by the History panel. If I Shift + Select the two steps that were recorded in the History panel, [Group + Set LIve Filter] I can click on the Save as Command icon at the bottom of the History panel, give my new Command a name (I'll use Shadow Mask), and then save it to the FW Commands list.
Once my command is available, I can use it as follows.
-Choose Modify > Ungroup to ungroup my original bitmap/star mask group
-Hide bitmap 1
[note that the star shape is still sitting on top of the stack of hidden bitmaps]
-Resize the star shape as I wish
-Unhide bitmap number 2
-Choose Select > Select All to select the star shape and the second bitmap.
-Apply my custom "Shadow Mask" Command.
-Export
-Ungroup and follow the steps above to mask and export the images.
It's still a bit fussy, but it saves a couple of steps. I'll bet someone could create an extension that makes it even easier.

Adobe CS5 - How can I place vector shapes behind a mask?

I am creating a logo in Photoshop which will have rows of horizontal lines that form the shape of a hexagon.
This is what part of the logo will look like:
I used the Vector Shapes tool to create the lines, because I will need to re-size the logo without distorting it.
I want to use a mask shaped as a hexagon to cover the edges of the lines. Here is how I created the hexagon mask:
New layer
Polygon tool
Changed the setting to Paths
Created the hexagon
Went to Layer > Vector Mask > Current Path.
After I created the mask I tried to see if I could copy and paste the lines (still vector shapes) into the blank area of the mask, but when this happened the lines were converted from vector to raster form.
What is the best way to mask multiple vector shapes without changing them into rasterized images?

Did you try clipping the two layers? Place cursor between layers, hold down the alt/opt key and click.

What's the footage of the project (camera/codec info), and what hefty things may have been applied in PrPro, After Effects, or Sg such as noise control, warp-stabilizer, tracked key-frame masks, multiple LUT's/Looks, that sort of thing.
And ... I take it if you export a non-Sg processed video it works as expected through AME? So it's only IF you take a PrPro project through a round-trip to Sg that AME refuses to export?
Next ... a screen grab of the AME settings you're using would be excellent ...

Speed grade not rendering

So i have tried every file format i could think of to render out my speed grade project and no matter what i try (compressed by h.264 or non compressed, to pro res 422) the video is either corupt or the colour work does not end up in the final movie.
I imported a pro res 422 move into the time line as the linking does not work very well for mac, and used the program to pic all of the edit points.
All i want to do it kick it out but it is not working! what am i doing wrong?
Also i have a mac pro 2009, 10 gigs of ram 2x2.26 ghz quad with an Nivida K600 card (which i know is not aproved but works just fine it is the Quatro arcitecture) And did all of my colouring on an asus PA monitor. Besides from that it is a nice program, I would like more controll over the work space though....

Multiple Exclusion Criteria[Exclusion Mask] in Sender File Adapter

Hello All,
I have a requirement to specify multiple exclusion criteria in the 'Exclusion Mask' property of a Sender File Adapter, i.e. I need to pick up files that correspond to 111*.txt from a specified source directory, but I would also want to exclude specific individual files that go by the following names:-111ACC.txt, 111INV.txt & 111PUR.txt.
I have tried the following - Specified 111*.txt in the 'File Name' field and in the 'Exclusion Mask' field specified ACC, INV & PUR - the exclusion criteria separated by commas. But this does not seem to work. All the 111* files are getting picked up.
Have gone through a couple of weblogs that deal with exclusion masks, but they do not talk about multiple exclusion criteria.
Is there any other way I could accomplish this?

Exclusion mask in file sender

Hi Frnds,
i have 3 interfaces separately in my environment. 3 interfaces have 3 sender file channels.All 3 channels need to pick the file from same dropzone(abc/xyz/).But file names will differs.
Lets asssume 1st channel will pick the file name starts with A(A*)
2nd channel with B (B*) and C (C*),Then i made exclusion mask A* .Other than A this file will pick up.As of now we will only get 3 file names eighter A,B or C.So i made it like that.
then i have to implement third channel file name starts with D* now.
So can i use exclusion mask in 2 nd channel A*,B*.
But i tried with Above configuration it did n't pick my D* file.As other than A 2 nd channel configured it is picking up the D* file also.
Can some body advice how can i use Exclusion mask for above critiria.

File Adapter Exclusion Mask

I'm need to specify a mask to a Sender File Adpater that prevent processing files that contains ? on the file name, example : FileABC??.txt
Is possible to use regular expression or a advanced filter to this? Because if I put ? on Exclusion Mask the ? will be understood like any character.

Yes, I've already see it, but my problem is that I need to exclude files that hava the ? character on name, and if I simply put it a exclude mask with ? It will interpreted as one any character.
I've tried to put a Regular Expression, but it doesn't solve too. (.\?.) In this case the file named TEST-XP??TR?.txt will be excluded.

File Adapter Exclusion Mask not working

Hi all,
I have a problem with exclusion mask in File Adapter:
I have two scenarios: PE08 and PR08.
PE08 have to take files with format L.I21 and PR08 with format L.I21R.
In system A I use File Adapter with NFS protocol and everything goes ok.
But in system B I have to use FTP protocol and here exclusion mask doesn't work: I put a file L000249.I21R and XI takes it to scenario PE08, and it must go to PR08.
My exclusion mask in PE08 Channel are:
*R
Sometimes it goes thru PE08 and other times same file goes thru PR08...
What is happening? any idea?
Why exclusion names behave diferent in FTP and in NFS?
