Executable from vi works only on PC's with LV
I have a vi that communicate with the Printerport as digital output. It works very good, so I make a executable from it (with the last version of app.builder)and it still works very good, but if I run this exe on a PC without Labview (but with the runtime engine for LV7.1) it doesn't work anymore (nothing on the PP)and no messages or errors.

I can't open your VI because I don't have 7.1 yet but if you are using the Port I/O functions, did you include support for them when you created your installer? You have to click the Advanced button on the Installer Settings tab and check the box Port I/O Support.

Start Tx Iview from URL works only in current IE Window.

We would like to send an URL via e-mail to link directly the user to a given SAP transaction (IW33), prefilled with the work order number.
The users are always logged on and authentified against the SAP Portal.
From the Portal window, I start a new IE window (CTRL+N) and paste the URL it works fine. But If I open a brand new IE window from the windows start menu, it doesn't work. Any Clue.

My 13" MBP MD 101 / A1278 / 9,2 / Mid 2012 is still in production and it is performing like a windows pc; super slow after updating it to Yosemite.I can't afford to upgrade its HDD to SSD and 4GB RAM to 16GB.
Tried everything found on internet, nothing got successful in making it fast as it was once with mountain lion. I hope I could have Yosemite's features and leopard's responsiveness and stability.
I think Apple guys have designed Yosemite only for SSDs only. They should design OS X according to every mac's different hardware, like if I have a spinning old hard drive it should mould itself to the capabilities of it and not demand responsiveness of an SSD.
Please do let me know if anyone have brilliant new idea other than found on the internet.

Variable Offsets are working only partially
Hello experts, at first I thought that an offset I placed on a variable for 0FISCPER was not working. I am trying to do a report which gives me the value of couple of Key Figure "Earnings", for a certain Fiscal Period and this same Period but for the last year. That is (please consider each "/" as a blank space):

I am using a variable that I created, which takes a user input. On Selection "Earnings on FiscPer" I placed the variable with no offset. On Selection "Earnings on LastFiscPer" I placed the same variable, with a -12 offset.
The problem I have is that it is not working. The offset is not working, it just displays the value for the Fiscal Period given by the user, not last year's Fiscal Period. However, the funny thing is that if I place the offset as +12 and give as input las year's Fiscal Period, the offset works and displays the value for the next year's Fiscal Period. So the variable offset works only on one side, with possitive offset values. I have tried different approaches (some coming from other posts from this forum) but I cannot get the offset to work with negative values.
How can I manage to get this to work? Any ideas?

i will try to answer your questions:
a) range of values instead of individual value for variables:
-> if u use a range of values for one KF u will always get cumulated values for this range
-> for example: 0FISCPER3 with range 001-016 and 0FISCYEAR 2008 -> u get the sum of all periods for year 2008
Idea : i have a query where i have a KF with a range. I defined a solid start period (0FISCPER3) for example 001 and have an input ready variable for end period, called "Period to". Also u have input ready variable for 0FISCYEAR. This KF shows me the sum until the defined end period for a user defined year.
b) 0FISCPER3 in lines or columns:
IF u now drop 0FISCPER3 in free characteristics in query designer, u are able to do a breakdown in BEx Analyzer for 0FISCPER3 in lines or columns.
Szenario:
1) u have created your KF as i descriped in IDEA
2) u have dropped 0FISCPER as free characteristics in query designer
3) At BEx Analyzer u go to query properties -> put 0FISCPER3 in columns (-> maybe u change with properties display options for 0FISCPER to text -> it dispays for 0032008 -> Mar 2008)
4) Press ok
5) Right click on your KF and choose "Add drill down according to" -> Choose "posting period" (0Fiscper3)
6) Do a horizontal drilldown for posting period with drag and drop
-> Now u have a drill down for posting period in your KF, but also for all other KF too
-> To avoid this u can customize workbook settings
1) Change to design mode
2) open properties for analysis grid and disable display options for "Hierarchy icons"
Another way is to delete the hierachy icon
-> u now only see a drilldown with posting period for these KF u wanted to have a drilldown to.
If u now only want to see posting periods which have values and disable all which have no values, u can activate zero suppression for lines and columns in query properties.
Voila, u have a worbook which now shows for your KF all availble posting periods in one year without creating 16 monthly key figures. In addition u can change the inner year range of summation of period values

Bootcamp from a working PC Windows XP hard disk. Anyway to make this work?
I did some "unplanned" experimentation yesterday while setting up my new Mac Pro. I wanted to install dual Raptors to do a fresh install of OSX. I removed the stock Apple drive, and installed my two Raptors, one of which was a "pull" from a working Dell Precision 470 workstation with Windows XP SP2 and dual XEON's. I'm not that famililar with Mac's, so when I turned it on, I couldn't figure out how to get the OSX CD into the drive for it to boot on, so the system started booting from the first drive bay (which had my Dell drive in it). To my surprise, Windows XP Pro started booting...all the way to the login screen! I logged in and up came Windows XP!! Of course, there was hardware that didn't have drivers (mostly chipset stuff that the intel chipset updates would fix).
My question is this...is there a way to put a working PC-based Windows XP PRO hard drive in one of the drive bays and just somehow configure boot camp to use that drive without having to reload windows?

Windows isn't my thing but I believe you should be able just install the drivers from the drivers CD that's made by the Boot Camp Assistant. You will have to start Mac OS X at least once and install Boot Camp to get the CD. -

Yes, the respective application in GRC system can be executed from SE80.
Not only that, from NWBC, these types of work items can be successfully executed. The problem is that, the can not be executed from Portal.

I am having a big problem. I am not getting notifications from snapchat and only snapchat. I've made sure every notification setting was on and it just won't work. 1.First check whether your agents are working and test connection to repositories. If everything ok, you might have changed your repository name recently.
2.When you export your work and master repository and import to another schema or database and whether you connect to your imported repository, you change your repository name in your first environment.
3.Correct order is first rename your Master Repository name, log off / log on and change your Work Repository name and check below fields in both your Master and Work Repositories in both environments.
Master Repository : SNP_REM_REP
Work Repository : SNP_LOC_REPW
REP_NAME column of MASTER_REP.SNP_REM_REP should be equal to REP_NAME column in WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW.
You cannot see WORK_REP.SNP_LOC_REPW value in ODI Topology Manager and if you are changing your repository name you need to update value from database.
Change the value from DB, loggoff and logon the user and connect the designer again.

Can I use Google Sync to transfer only my contacts from my IPhone 4 to my gmail account? I do not want to sync info from Gmail to the IPhone. Can the sync work only one-way? I have 0 contacts & 0 calendar events on my gmail account. I opened the Gmail account specifically to for the Google Sync and wil only be using this account as a back-up for my IPhone contacts. You do realize that the SIM only contains account information for your wireless account.
Moving the SIM from phone to phone does not cause any of your iTunes content, contacts, email, etc to magically appear on the device. -
I have an external hardrive for MAC, I needed to save something from my work computer so I can pass it on to my MAC, it requiered me to re-format my external HD and now when I connected to my MAC I only have "read only rights". How do I fix it? I run my Itnues from this external and now my library is gone. Luckily I have it saved somewhere else, which is not a problem, but I won't be able to write to this HD for right now. I can't see an option to give those permission back.

Unless what you have to transfer is enormous, skip the external HD altogether and use a USB flash drive; you can get them with capacities to 128GB. Format the flash drive as FAT32 or ExFAT as LowLuster suggests so it can be read and written to on both PC's and your Mac. -
Internet access works from one jack only
I recently moved to a new apartment that has three phone jacks, the phone works fine on all three but my router will work only from the jack where the main feed comes into my apartment.
I have tried different cables, rebooting, unplugging, etc. Do I need to call for a technician?It is possible the installation has a filter in the network box for the phone lines while the line to the jack which has the dsl service is unfiltered.

Dear all,
I can hear sound from one headphone only.
I can confirm I have tried with three different headsets including the one provided by Sony.
I can also confirm the problem happens with all applications (Spotify, Walkman, SoundCloud) including the provided sounds and ringtones.
Also, the phone has not come in contact with water yet and it hasn't been dropped either (it's two weeks old).
Last time it worked, was last night when I connected it to my home stereo using a normal stereo minijack. It has stopped working since then.
I have restarted it a number of times and the problem persists.
Can you please advise?

Does ios6 allow you to block a phone number from being received in the future?
I know that previous versions of iOS did not provide the ability to block a phone number in the "Call History" menu from ever being received again, but what about iOS6?

How to insert huge data through XSU
Did any of you try to insert XML data into Oracle database? We have huge data (like thounds of rows), and if we put these data into XML file, it will be a huge file. Can someone give us some ideas on how to take care of it? We encountered insufficien
