Execute Mapping from OMBPlus (TCL Scripting)

Hi Experts,
I was going through OMB Plus Commands. However could not find the option to execute OWB Mapping. I am planning to execute an OWB Map of whose name i will send as a parameter to the script and it will execute only that particular Map.
Could you please help me with this.

  • Implementing CFNA from a TCL script

    Hello, I'm trying to create a parallel hunt group (with CFNA) in a TCL script.
    I can deliver the call to multiple DNs and if a handset is picked up the call is delivered correctly.
    However, if the call is not answered I want to then send the call to a voicemail DN.
    I have used set callInfo(alertTime) command to get the call back after the timeout and I get an event from ev_setup_done. However, I can't seem to perform another leg setup command to send the call to a VM DN.
    Is there something I need to do to cancel the previous leg setup ? Do I need to recover the original leg_imcoming? I'm fairly new at TCL so I would appreciate any help here.

    It does not seem to work. Is this supported in 4.1.1 version of XR software? Here is what I configured and error I got:

    Is there a way to run a OMBPlus script in OWB Designer automatically at startup?
    What I would like is a small tcl script that just contains a procedure like:
    proc run_script {} {
    source "I://OMB//SCRIPTS//2009//DEPLOY//START_DEPLOY.tcl"
    Then the users can just access the OMBplus part of the screen and type
    OMB> run_script
    (This instead of typing the entire source command...)

    Is this possible? To automatically run a small script at startup?OMBPlus is a Tcl/Java based (Jacl) TCL interpreter and it support auto_load mechanism (with auto_path variable and tclIndexfile).
    And please note that this mechanism doesn't work if you start OWB from Windows Start menu (use OWBHOME\owb\bin\win32\owbclient.bat instead).
    1) place your small tcl script into directory (for example into c:\tcl_autostart and name of your script small_script.tcl)
    2) Modify setowbenv.bat file (in OWBHOME\owb\bin\win32 directory) - add line
    SET TCLLIBPATH="C:/tcl_autostart"3) create in c:\tcl_autostart directory file tclIndex (without any file extension!) with contents (the first line must be exact I specify, because TCL interpreter check it before processing tclIndex)
    # Tcl autoload index file, version 2.0
    set auto_index(run_script) \[list source \[file join $dir small_script.tcl\]\]Now start OMBPlus (with OMBPlus.bat) or OWB (with owbclient.bat) - and you have new command run_script

  • Reading the Facility Callername from a tcl script

    I am looking for a way to read the Callingname in the facility message so that I can pass into
    set callInfo(displayInfo)
    Basically I'm trying to pass Callername to an ip phone through a TCL script on the gateway during callsetup. This normally gets dropped.
    Is there a way to parse these fields in the Facility message?

  • Unable to execute Map from Database link

    Hi
    Been trying to research this issue but have had no luck in finding an answer. Here is the situation:
    We have an apex application that resides on database "A"
    Our OWB Design Repository (11.1.0.7) and Runtime Environment both exist on database "B"
    Maps exists and execute under normal procedures as the "ETL" user on database "B", However we would like to allow the "APEX" user to execute a map from database "A" across a database link to a user that can execute the map without any issue.
    When we try to execute the map across the database link from toad or sqlplus we get no error returned, the procedure runs and kicks off a map execution (as seen in ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS) or from the control center executions. However the Map execution immediately fails with no explanation as to why??
    what makes even less sense is that the user on database "B" that the database link connects to.. can execute the same procedure all day long if logged directly into database "B".. but the moment you try to call it across the database link.. it errors with no message as to why.
    We are calling the "WB_WORKSPACE_MANAGEMENT.SET_WORKSPACE".. so that is not the issue.. I am assuming this is either a bug.. or we are missing an additional call/privilege. The user for the database link is a registered user in the workspace, obviously this works since the database link user can run the procedure if logged in locally to database "B"
    Any thoughts???

    Figured out our problem..
    Found RETURN_CODE column in ALL_RT_AUDIT_EXECUTIONS table.. point to -2064 which is an ora-2064
    NOTE 1026597.6 - CALLING REMOTE PACKAGE RECEIVES ORA-2064 explains that a commit is issued in a coordinated session from an RPC procedure call with OUT parameters or function call. Action: simplify remote update statement.
    The problem here is that "Commit Control" was set to Automatic for the mappings we were calling. Oracle does not like when a transaction is initiated on database "A" and has a commit issued on database "B" from the map.
    Makes sense.. we switched the commit control to "Manual" and are able to process correctly by issuing a commit from the session on database "A"
    Hope this helps anyone that runs into this issue themselves..

  • Why won't my ntdsutil command execute successfully from my Posh script?

    Hello,
    The purpose of the script is to delete snapshot versions using ntdsutil.
    The script starts and executes a  '$SnapShotList = ntdsutil snapshot "list all" quit quit' to list current snapshots as indicated below.  I then parse through these and based on age I construct and submit a ntdsutil command as follows,
    cmd /c ntdsutil snapshot "Delete$SnapShotNumber" quit quit
    but I always get a 'Invalid Snapshot Index 1.' $SnapShotNumber is a string variable with the number of the snapshot I want to delete.  I tried removing the 'cmd /c', but same results.  This command works find from the Command Prompt.  Any
    suggestions?

    Sounds like you either have a corrupt class file or you're using an older version of the JVM to try to execute classe that were compiled for a newer version.

    I am executing a OWB mapping from a shell script like this
    $OWB_SQLPLUS MY_WAREHOUSE plsql MY_MAPPING "," ","
    I want to log this mapping execution process into a file.
    Please let me know if this will work:
    $OWB_SQLPLUS MY_WAREHOUSE plsql MY_MAPPING "," "," >> LOGFIL.log
    I will just be using this log file to track all the execution and use it for logging purpose.
    If this wont work, please tell me the proper way to do this...

    ">>" is the Unix operator that will redirect output and append to a particular file, so what you have should work if you're executing it from the shell prompt. Although I don't know specifically what OWB_SQLPLUS and MY_WAREHOUSE are.
    In my company, we have the call to the owb script inside another script. For example, file x contains the following line:
    sqlplus repository_user/pwd@database @sqlplus_exec_template.sql repository_owner location task_type task_name custom_params system_params
    Then at the prompt, we enter:
    nohup x > x.log &
    And the mapping or workflow executes.

    Are you redirecting your output to a file so you can see why it's returning a '3'? The log file will usually tell you where the error occurred. I don't know what your input parameters for your mapping is, but the script is pretty picky about the date format. Also, even if you don't have any input parameters, the "," still has to be sent into the script.

    Use "tclsh" command and copy the script. That should do the job. Please find below example.

    We have some simple SQL scripts we'd like to be able to incorporate into our existing TCL scripts, instead of having to run them outside of OMBPlus in sqlplus. Is is possible to run a SQL SELECT query from OMBPlus and/or TCL? And get a result set back to iterate through?

    You can execute SQLPlus from OMB or just get down and use JDBC to execute the SQL, see others posts on forum such as below;

    As Jorg said, you can pass command line arguments when you start OMBPlus.
    If you want to pass parameters from within OMB, just create a proc and then run it...

    deployMap <map_name>You can automatically load the proc when you start OMBPlus but putting it into ombinit.tcl (or put it in another file and put "source myprocs.tcl" at the bottom of ombinit.tcl).

    I deployed the same mapping with new version of OWB 904.. it did not work. What is new syntax to execute the mapping from sqlplus?

    From OWB 9.0.4 on, you must use the execution template to execute your mappings from sql. The template file, that has a brief doc section in its heading is:
    <OWB installation directory>/owb/rtp/sql/sqlplus_exec_template.sql

    We are using the approach of scheduling predefined job heavily in our projects. It works fine.
    There are several points to mention:
    - scheduling / rescheduling algorithm must not lead to simultaneous session of the mapping run. Depending of content of the mappings/PF this could bring the real pain.
    - If there are several user sessions intensively interacting the table on which the scheduling trigger is created, scheduling / rescheduling algorithm must be written with care – users could lock or wait each other while updating job record.
    - Depending on intensity of such mapping runs additional care must be taken of OWB audit trail which will tend to grow.
    Depending on requirements trigger could call ordinal procedure for scheduling (if mapping run must be performed only if user commit change to the table), or procedure with autonomous_transaction pragma (if any touch of the table should fire the execution – don’t think this is a case)
