Exit from a Form in enter_query

hi there
i have a form (form6) with a master-detail.
the 2 blocks are table-based.
when the form open, it must be in enter_query mode, so in when-new-form-instance i wrote an enter_query.
how can i manage the exit form when it's in enter_query mode?
now i should press the key-exit 2 times...
thank you

Hello
after few attempts (the message "query cancelled" was still appearing), i solved putting this code in the key-exit trigger of the master block
declare
     msglvl varchar2(3);
begin
     msglvl := :system.message_level;
     :system.message_level := 20;
     if :system.mode = 'ENTER-QUERY' then
     exit_form(NO_VALIDATE,FULL_ROLLBACK);
     end if;
:system.message_level := msglvl;
     EXIT_FORM(ASK_COMMIT,FULL_ROLLBACK);
end
thank you all

    when you start your runform via
    ifrun60.EXE myForm pa_username=myUser
    you can use this parameter for your new Resource-File, which you have saved from within Oracle Terminal :
    ifrun60.EXE myForm pa_username=myUser term=myTermFile.res
    try it

  • How to abort exiting from a form

    Hi.
    I want to popup an Alert message which ask the user if he realy want to exit the Oracle Forms application. If he press 'NO' button I want to return to the aplication.
    I realize that I have to use POST-FROM triger to popup the alert message. I then don't know how to unvalidate the user exit.
    Any hint / example?
    Regards,
    Dezo

    You van try this in Post-Form trigger:
    DECLARE
    alert_button NUMBER;
    al_id     Alert:= Find_Alert('your_alert');
    BEGIN
    Set_Alert_Property(al_id, alert_message_text,'Do you want to exit ?');
    alert_button := Show_Alert(al_id);
    IF alert_button=ALERT_BUTTON1 THEN
    DO_KEY('Key_Exit');
    ELSE
    RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure;
    END IF;
    END;

  • Error when exit by 'X' from called form

    I am in a form and I call another form. I delete something on the called form then click the 'X' in the right hand corner of the form without saving my change first - a message is displayed QMS-00158: Do you want to save your changes? When I click on 'Yes' a window appears with a title that says 'Errors and Warnings in this transaction' with no other information - when I select 'OK' the window remains displayed and a message at the bottom of the screen says "FRM-40738 Argument 1 to builtin GO_BLOCK cannot be null" - the only way to close the window is to click on the called form and exit it then everything is OK.
    If I save my changes first everything is fine - it is only when I try to exit the called form before saving that this happens.
    Any ideas of why?

    Hi Pradeep,
    I am facing the same issue, Can you please give me some inputs on this..
    Thanks in Advance.

  • EXPORT to text or CSV format from a form

    Dear all,
    Could you please help me to export the data from my form to a text file or to a csv format. I am very new to forms.
    i need to export the data from the oracle form to a text file or CSV file format.
    I had created form named as form1.
    In form1 i have a block named as block1. In this block i have 4fields as field1, field2, field3, field4. using a tabe1 which has the same 4fields.
    This form is in tabular form.
    Example:
    In the form i have data like as below and i got this data from table1. I used a execute query to get the data from the table into this form.
    field1 field2 field3 field4
    raj 1234 abc 510
    dil 777 hi 787
    Now my requirement is i need to export this data into a file, when i click on a button(Export) it has to browse for a folder on my desktop and i have to name the filename to save the data.
    Please help me.
    Thanks in advance.

    This should be almost same as in your previous task for import data.
    Try this:
    DECLARE
       v_file_name   VARCHAR2 (100);
       v_file        client_text_io.file_type;
       v_delimiter VARCHAR2(1) := ',';
    BEGIN
       v_file_name := webutil_file.file_save_dialog;
       v_file := client_text_io.fopen (v_file_name, 'w');
       GO_BLOCK ('block1');
       FIRST_RECORD;
       LOOP
            client_text_io.PUT_LINE(v_file, :block1.field1||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field2||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field3||v_delimiter||:BLOCK1.field4);
        IF :SYSTEM.LAST_RECORD = 'TRUE' THEN
             EXIT;
        END IF;
        NEXT_RECORD;
       END LOOP;
       client_text_io.fclose (v_file);
    END;

  • How can I remove my company's iCloud Contacts account from a former employee's iPhone and have the current information removed as well?

    How can I remove my company’s iCloud Contacts account from a former employee's iPhone and have the current information removed from their iPhone at the same time as well? Will just changing the iCloud password be enough? Our company shares an iCloud account for convenience but when someone leaves we don't want the information to stay on their iPhone.

    Changing the password would only block them from accessing the iCloud information.  They would still have access to the local copy on thier phone.  To delete the local information, you would need to go to Settings>iCloud on the phone, tap Delete Account, then choose Delete from My iPhone.  (This only deletes the iCloud account and data from the phone, not from iCloud.)  This, obviously, must be done during the exit process as it requires access to the phone.

  • Passing a parameter from one form to another

    Hi
    I'm trying to pass a parameter from one form to another. I've read lots of postings about this, and I have succeeded in calling the second form using code behind one of the existing Portal buttons (insert). Here is the code:
    DECLARE
    pro_id NUMBER;
    pro_link VARCHAR2(1200);
    BEGIN
    pro_id := p_session.get_value_as_number(
    p_block_name => 'DEFAULT',
    p_attribute_name => 'A_PRO_ID');
    pro_link := portal30.wwv_user_utilities.get_url(
    'CINTRA_APP.PRO_LINK_1',
    'WKG_PRO_ID',pro_id,
    '_WKG_PRO_ID_cond','=');
    PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.set_target(pro_link,'CALL');
    END;
    Trouble is, the parameter does not get passed. This could be because:
    the field I'm trying to populate is based on an LOV ?
    the target form is not set up to receive parameters? (I read this somewhere, but how do you do it?)
    Thanks
    Manfred

    Dear InoL
    My Header Form coding as follows.
    When I press the button to move to the lines the following code executes

    BEGIN

  • Frm-92101 happens when I open a form from another form and close it.

    Frm-92101 happens when I open a form from another form, check something, show a message to the user and exit the form to the previous form.
    Forms version: 10.1.2.0.2. Java: 1.6.0_23. Browser: IE6
    When I put before the "EXIT_FORM" two messages, everything is fine and the second form is closed and I repeat to the first form just as I wanted.
    In forms 9.0 it didn't happen.
    Does it have a connection with the fact I use JRE instead of JInitiator?
    Thank you.

    >
    There are numerous causes of the FRM-92101 error. I recommend you start your investigation by tracing your Forms session so you can see what your form is doing when the error occurs. Check out My Oracle Support document How to Use Forms Trace with Forms [ID 209372.1] for information on how to enable the trace. Also, take a look at My Oracle Support document Known Causes of FRM-92101 Error In Forms [ID 604633.1].
    Hope this helps,

    I have just found that there is a "Synchronize" command in one of the main attached libraries, and when I comment that command the application works well. But I don't want to comment it because it's a great library and I assume it has a part in the system.
    I have discovered that in the new Forms' help, the fact that the System.Current_Item mustn't be null so the command "Synchronize" will work, is mentioned. In the old Forms' help, that fact is not mentioned.
    So I tried to put it inside a condition that checks if the current item is not null, but the compiler doesn't recognize the "current_item". I don't know why. Because it's a library? So how can I check this? I can sent it as a parameter, but I don't want. Do you know something about it? Thank you.

  • Making Web Service calls from a Form in the WorkSpace

    I am getting conflicting information about this, so I hope someone here could clarify it. TIA.
    This is what I want to do:
    after a form is displayed/launched in the WorkSpace,
    when the user Tabs out of a field (Exit event) on the form,
    I want to make a Web Service call from the form,
    get the result from the WebService,
    and use the Result to populate another field on the form.
    I know for certain that this works if I Reader-Extend the form,
    and I set the JavaScript at the Exit event (to execute WebService call)
    as "Run At Client".
    The question is:
    can I make the WebService calls without Reader-Extending the form???
    I have been told that, yes you can,
    but *only if* you let the JavaScript "Run At Server".
    I tried that, but it caused the Reader to crash.
    Some other people told me,
    no you can not,
    even if you "Run At Server", the form still needs to be Reader-Extended,
    when using it in the WorkSpace environment.
    So, what is the truth? can someon tell me?
    Can I make WebServers calls from the Server-side at all?
    Do I really need to Reader-Extend the form even if calling it from server side?
    What exactly is it SUPPOSED to work?
    thanks

    yes, thank you both. I got the fix from Adobe Tech Support last week. It's working.
    The fix I got included a rather complex looking "Submit Service" though. Makes me wonder how a regular user would know that he needs to write such a Submit Service?? and even if he knows that he needs a special Submit Service, would he know how to write it??? I found no documentation for this type of things either.
    Shouldn't this solution be published somewhere in Adobe's website? Dev Lab perhaps?

  • Calling SQL Loader using HOST command from Developer Forms 4.5

    I want to execute a set of code from D2K Forms 4.5 which has interfface with Client - OS ( In my case Windows NT/XP). I want to execute SQL Loader from Forms using Host Command and then after completion of that process, I want to do next transcations ( depending upond success of HOST/SQL Loader).
    How to achive this?
    I tried writing code like this ...
    l_vc_command := 'sqlldr73'
                        ||' USERID='||l_vc_username||'/'||l_vc_password||'@'||l_vc_connect_string
                        ||' CONTROL='||l_vc_filepath||'Upload.ctl'
                        ||' DATA='||LTRIM(RTRIM(l_vc_fileloc))
                        ||' LOG='||l_vc_filepath|| l_vc_log_file || '_' || l_dt_sysdate_str ||'.log'
                        ||' BAD='||l_vc_filepath|| l_vc_bad_file || '_' || l_dt_sysdate_str ||'.bad'
                        ||' DISCARD='||l_vc_filepath|| l_vc_discard_file || '_' || l_dt_sysdate_str ||'.dsc';
    HOST(l_vc_command,NO_PROMPT);
    After this command i want to do some other code execution. so even if it fails or success, next code is executed. How to control this?
    Please help..
    Regards,
    Milind

    Forms6i running on W2000, Rdbms 8.1.7
    in Forms I added a button TEST,
    Trigger when-button-pressed : host('test.bat') ;
    in directory .......\frm I added file test.bat :
    REM ===============
    cd /d C:\........\ldr
    pause
    sqlldr parfile=test.par
    pause
    type test.log
    pause
    exit
    REM ================
    now, pressing TEST button opens DOS window, telling me what's going on, running sqlldr, finally going back to forms
    Are you using NO_PROMPT or NO_SCREEN option of HOST command ?
    Had a look at Forms 4.5 manuals, there is no mentioning of (a)synchronously operation in connection with HOST command.

  • Call Oreacle report from Oracle form

  • JEditorPane can't handle POST from HTML form?

    I posted this before but i never got an answer so i'll try again :-)
    Im running a tomcat server were i have a jsp script that uploads files to the server. What i need to do to is to use a regular java application for the rest of the "project" im working on.
    And i can get the JSP page to be displayed properly using JEditorPane but i cant get the html FORM POST in the JSP to execute... i dont know if theres some limits in JEditorPane or if im just using the wrong type of approach on this one.
    This is the server

    (only works if my computer is turned on)
    Heres the code:

    I am using request.getParameter(passed variable name)
    to pass data from HTML form to JSP with no problem.
    WHen I try to pass data from HTML form of
    multipart/form-dta type to JSP as following:
    < form enctype="multipart/form-data" name="theForm"
    method="post"
    ACTION="http://titan.ssd.loral.com:7778/ifs/jsp-bin/if
    -cts/stringsecond.jsp">
    The passed value is null. Why?because the jsp most likely does not handling of POST parameters like this.
    How can I pass data successfully from this form to
    JSP?jsp's are not meant to read such amounts of data. this (= uploading) is a typical task for a specialized servlet. there you have full control over input and output. if you need to, you can still forward to a jsp after processing in the servlet.
    How can I pass data from JavaScript to JSP???? i'm not sure what exactly you mean. normally you put it into an url and submit it.

  • X crash the PC when exit from X (dixGetPrivateAddr: Assertion)

    I installed Arch Linux on my new PC (had Arch on my 6 year old notebook for about 2 years) but each time I want to exit form X (KDE or TWN) crash the video output. The display switch to standby and the keyboard doesn't work any more, so I can't switch to a terminal.
    My PC config:
    Arch x86_64, new net installation up-to-date (pacman -Syu)
    AMD X6, Radeon HD5830, dual head installation
    I tried some AUR radeon-git driver (a lot of artefacts, exit from X works) , catalyst (closed source , radeon r300g on my notebook just rocks ). After all this installation of different drivers I set a new Arch Linux installation up (no KDE, only TWN). But the problem remains. With a remote ssh login I can access the crashed PC and shut it down or restart X and X starts again (now I can switch to a terminal until I exit again from X).

    Xorg log:

    no EE errors
    Xorg config:
    [root@xsix log]# cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-radeon.conf
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "HD5830"
    Driver "radeon"
    EndSection
    [root@xsix log]#
    radeon is in /etc/rc.conf under MODULES and dbus is in DAEMONS, late KMS enabled.
    Has someone an idea to solve this problem or has/had a similar problems with X,radeon,...? Any piece of information is welcome.

    - mesa-demos-git (optional: needed for glxinfo and glxgears)
