Expdp command without directory method

hi,
i wanted to use expdp command without using create directory method as i do not have create directory access
thanks
expdp hr/hr DIRECTORY=dpump_dir2 DUMPFILE=expfull.dmp FULL=y NOLOGFILE=y
thanks

The answer, which is already given is no, but...
Data pump recognizes a default directory object is defined. If it is defined, the if you do not wpspecify a directory, dim files will be created there, I forget what it is called, but just try to export with a directory object.
The answer to the second question is... It depends. If the daatypes are compatible, it should work. The only way tot tell is to try it.
If you changes varchar2(20) to varchar2(30) I would assume yes.
If you changed clob to number, I would guess no.

  • Execute a command without thread

    Hi....i have to execute a command in DOS and i'm using runtime java class with its method exec(). The process works perfectly but in my code i have to execute that command without a thread because the successive operations will work only if the command terminated correctly. What can i do to resolve it?

    String cmd = input.getTxtDb2Cmd();
    Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd);
    int r = p.waitFor();
    if (r != 0)
    throw new RuntimeException("db2 command failed");
    i've to invoke a db2 command that import a txt file in a db table. After this code i've some operations that works with this table so i've to terminate this import before execute other functions.

  • Process keyboard commands without prompting

    I am 5 weeks into my first Java course with no previous programming background. We are implementing John Conways game "LIFE" a 2D Cellular Automata. From the command line I read in 5 args, width, height, cell size, delay and a random seed value. I have the program accepting the args and drawing the displays. While the program is running the user should be able to type in commands such as quit, step which one steps the display etc. Everything I have done so far, tried or read such as System.in or .next or hasNext prompts the user for input. How do I read keyboard commands without prompting the user? Please don't laugh at my ignorance. Maybe at 48 years old I'm just too old to learn this stuff. Thanks much.

With a KeyListener, you can detect when keys are typed. This is event driven. so you perform actions on the key being pressed and released. the keyTyped() method is probably what you will want to use. If you are planning on using single key commands (q == quit, s == step), this will be pretty easy to use. If you want the user to spell out the command, you may want to detect a key stroke, then open a text input field for the user to type the full command.

  • Executing client commands without using webutil

    Hi,
    Overview: Our dba is busy enough to be disturbed for configuring webutil for me to execute client commands like client_host, client_text_io, etc.
    The forms resides on unix server, then I want to implement a feature that writes data to a file then to be saved in the client's
    local directory.
    Question: I was just wondering if I can or is it possible to execute client commands specifically windows commands without using client_host?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    I think i found a way on how to do it, using Runtime.getRuntime().exec

  • APP without payment Method specified.

    Hi Guys,
    I want to run the APP and I want the result to be just the payments made to the vendors. Later  we are going to take the print out of the payments from the payment run and send it to the bank via a print out of the same.
    Is it possible to run F110 without giving any payment method?
    I dont want my check lots affected. So i dont want to use method C or any other payment method.
    Does SAP just pay the vendors without taking the payment method?Can i run the F110 for just paying the vendors without any method?
    Thanks so much in advance..
    regards,
    Srikanth.

    If i am able to understand your question well, you want to make payments to vendors but not issue any check. Instead the bank will make the payment based on the print out from F110.
    This can be achieved using payment orders. With payment orders, vendors amount get tagged for payment, and the subledger is updated only when the bank statement reflecting the payment is processed in SAP. Thus payment document will get posted only after the bank has made the payment, and not when you process F110
    However you will need to create a seperate payment method for this.

  • Cursor works when passing over a command without touching the Touchpad

    The cursor on my iMac regularly engages by merely passing over a command without clicking the touch pad.  All i can do is force stop the machine because the cursor performs unwanted commands before I can get the cursor to restart or Shut Down.

    Hi s,
    First try a PRAM Reset: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2238
    If no luck, try an SMC Reset: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964
    In some cases, the battery can interfere with a cable between it and the inside of the MBP, causing keyboard and/or trackpad issues. Shut down the MBP, disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery, take a piece of something semi-soft (like a paper napkin foldedover a couple times), place it over the cable you see in the battery compartment, and tape it down. Replace the battery and see how things go. If this works, you'll eventually want to replace the keyboard/trackpad cable (about $25 if you can do the work yourself). Note that if you go to a repair shop, they usually want to replace the entire top case assembly, which is much more costly.
    If the issue persists, shut down, disconnect the power adapter, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, boot the MBP and see if the issue persists without the battery in place (but remember to save a lot, because if the power adapter gets pulled out the MBP will immediately shut down and any unsaved work will be lost).
    Also look at the battery to see if it has any signs of deformity/bulging, in which case do not use it again (it may be pushing on the keyboard/trackpad cable and causing the issue); it must be replaced.
    First off Sir or lady tjk, I do a PRAM reset weekly and it's never fixed diddly for this issue, I'm sorry to report. The cursor going awry usually happens in Mail when composing or replying to emails, so I wondered if Mail was corrupted, but alas, no. Still happens.
    Upon inspecting the battery and the compartment, both appear normal. No bulging or binding either (a brazzier reference).
    I did the SMC reset before I read your post, but apparently not to Apple's spec so will try it again. Then will see what's up doc.

    The command is SystemAdministrator
    please help me to recover that back in my directory editor...

    Two choices left - download iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ - and use its rebuild command - this will rebuild yoru library leaving the original untouched so you can go back to it is things do not make yo happy - this will keep your edits, metadata and events but will not keep projects
    If that does not work Right click on the iPhoto library and show package contents - look in the masters folder - are your original photos there?  If so (and if you have adaquate disk space) duplicate the masters folder and rename the iPhoto library "iPhoto library old" - depress the option key and launch iPhoto ancd create a new library - drag the masters folder to the iPhoto icon in the Dock to import your original photos with your events
    This will give you a new library with your originals - edits, projects and metadata changes will not be available
    And critically start Time Machine up and leave it running

  • SHOW commands without ENABLE...?

    I have a user who has been given read-only, privilege level 1, access and wants the ability to use the various SHOW commands.  We have ACS running in this environment.  Is there a way, through ACS, to give him these commands?
    Policy Elements/Authorization and Permissions/Device Administration/Shell Profiles has ReadOnly with all shell attributes set to not in use, default/max privilege set to 1, nothing extra in custom attributes.  Same set of submenus, Command Sets, Limited has "Permit" "SHOW" with no arguments listed.  Under Access Policies, Standard Device Admin, Authorization, I have a rule for the identity group assigned to the user in all locations and all device types that assigns the shell profile of ReadOnly and the command set of Limited.  However, the user cannot perform any such commands
    What am I missing?  Is there another way to do this?  As I said, the key is to provide the show commands without the ability to make changes to the devices.

    Yes this can be done and it sounds like you have ACS configured correctly.  However, I am not sure if all show commands will be available without entering enable mode.  For example, show interfaces is not available until after you enter enable mode.
    What AAA commands do you have running on the devices?
    I am doing pretty much what you're doing but I allow the user to enter enable mode and then restrict them to a hand full of commands.  Also, I have ACS controlling the enable password on a per user basis.

  • Is there a way to use voiceover commands without voiceover?

    I was messing around on my computer to see what I could find, and I found voiceover utility. I can hear, see, feel, and sense perfectly well, so I didn't think it would be of interest to me. But, I found the commands section of it, and wanted to try it out. In this section you are supposed to be able to hold down (for example) option and do a gesture on your trackpad to do some sort of command. This seems to only work with voiceover enabled, but I think that it would be really cool if I could use these sort of controls day to day (without the annoying speaking). Is there a way to do that? Maybe a third party application? Thanks to anyone who knows (and understands my question)
    -Tom

    Static make the variable (or the method) available
    directly from the class. You don't have to
    instantiate it to use its static methods and
    variables. For example, the class java.lang.Math
    contains a lot of static methods. That's why you can
    use Math.sqrt(foo) without doing a Math m = new
    Math();
    In fact, you can't even instantiate a Math object...If you set a variable to static and you DO have instances of that object, then the changes made to that variable in one instance (or directly through the class) effect ALL instances of that object, right?
    So if I had a static textfield in two instances of an edit class I had running, and I changed the value in one of the edit class, then the same change would take effect in the other edit class as well, correct?

  • Bouncing Ball without Main Method

    Hi. I needed to reserch on the Internet sample code for a blue bouncing ball which I did below. However, I try coding a main class to start the GUI applet and it's not working. How can I create the appropriate class that would contain the main method to start this particular application which the author did not provide? If I open command prompt and enter this command:-

    Try it by opening the Cmd prompt as the actual process and passing the Filename and its arguments as the arguments of the Cmd process.  If you notice there is a "-C" before the Filename and Arguments in this example.  The "-C"
    tells the cmd to execute the commands and then close itself.  You can also use a "-K" which tells the cmd to execute the commands and keep itself open.  Being you are not showing the cmd window you don`t want to keep it opened because the
    user can`t close it so, that is why i used "-C".
     I don`t have the program so, you can just experiment to see what it does.  Maybe you should try using "-K" and show the cmd window by commenting out the CreateNoWindow line so you can see what is in the cmd window while testing.

  • Account without payment method

    I've had my itms account for a few years now and have been quite happy with how I have used it.
    Essentially I buy all the tunes and authorise them on my wifes, the 2 kids and the mac in the kitchen.
    However I figure it's time they all had their own accounts. I figured I can give 'em an allowance with these vouchers I can buy (don't actually know if you need an account to do this). They also want to redeem some free songs from coke bottles etc (they do need an account for this)
    My eldest set up his own account last week.
    I've just tried to set up an account for my youngest but can't get past supplying information about how they will pay. There is no option for none.
    I really dare not let him use my credit card or have it put on our telephone bill, but I also realise my eldest couldn't have given that information either. My eldest being 16 just grunts when I try to find out what he did.
    There is one obvious difference: my eldest used his own non .mac email address and therefore went through the process of creating a new account, my youngest has his own .mac account and isn't allowed to create an account but is required to verify his method of payment.
    This all seems a bit odd to me and complicated, so hopefully I have explained well enough.
    Basically how do I set up an itms account with a .mac email address without giving payment details so I can give him an allowance and he can redeem free songs

    Hey Winston Churchill,
    You can setup an account with a Gift Card, Gift Certificate, Paypal, or Allowance.
    Detailed information about these options is availabe here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/ Just click the Billing Support tab.
