Expense Report Approval Through Email

Hi all,
When approving Expense Reports through email, when the user clicks on Approve, a new mail is created with recipient of '[email protected]' and 'APPROVE' in the mail body.
User must then click on Send to approve the notification.
Is it possible to configuration these so that when user clicks on Approve in the original mail, that a notification is sent in the background rather than via a separate standalone approval email?
Any pointers much appreciated.

There won't be a fixed set of steps for such scenario. It will depend on the exact page, the requirements. but more or less, it should be achievable with the help of the personalization and extension. better go through the personalization guide. If you feel that personalization won't be enough, go for extension.

  • PO Approval through email set up documets

    Hi,
    I want set up documents once we try approve the Requisition and PO documents for approval not
    through notifications, but through email.
    So the approvers will open the relevant information in their email and
    approve the document through email. They would not want to go to Oracle
    Purchasing and approve the document through notifications.

    But this will affect all other workflow notifications also.

    I have tried emailing reports using SMTP and would kile to know if it is possible to do a secure email using Oracle Reports9iAS in-built 'report distribution via email' feature.

    I now get what you are exactly looking far ( I wasn't sure earlier)
    If you are looking for enxryting the mail content before sending, then you should go for a pluggbale mail destination. Tou could also explore oracleWireless destination wihc could be sued for mail destination. I beleive oracleWireless webservice mail destination supports encryption of mail body
    I was undarstanding that, you are probbaly don't want to have the receipients ids not exposed in the reports URL. This can be achived by reports bursting/distribution nand you can repeat on a goup which has a db column having mail ids

  • Problem in opening report send through email

    In my application if i run the report and mail to my client via mail option provided in Report Builder 3.0, then my client is not able to open this file (*.eps).
    So how my client will see the report in same format.
    Please Help it out.

    there is an application called (i believe) ghostscript. The file format is postscript format, and thus, must be opened with a postscript reader. I believe adobe makes such a reader as well, although I'm not sure of the name.

  • Approval of Expense report invoice

    I'm working in R12 (12.0.6) and I have requirement create approval logic for invoice of type expense report.
    I'm using AME but I found AP invoice workflow (APINVAPR) doesn't support invoice approval for expense report imported by cocurrent program.
    My question Is there any way to overide this and allow approval (to make Approval Required)for expense report invoice imported through the Payables Expense Report Export Program ?

    Invoices imported from iexpenses do not fall under the invoice approval. The idea is that the Approval process is implemented within iexpenses itself. So whtever approval requirement is there, it can be incorporated within the expense report approval AME. The approved expense report will create an AP invoice which has already passed through the AP invoice approval process (through the iexp approval AME process).

    Hi, firstly I would like to ask whether, are you trying to send report URL in an alert mail? If it is so, then you have to configure your SMTP settings in your 'Message Center'. The steps to configure are as below-
    To configure the Message Center settings:
    1. Select Message Center Management from the drop down list.
    Some table cells are blank the first time you install the Oracle Business Activity
    Monitoring applications.
    2. Click Edit.
    3. Enter the mail server machine name or IP address in the SMTP Server Name field.
    The mail server must have the capabilities to send email to other SMTP servers
    that Active Viewer users specify in their personal settings.
    4. Enter an email account including the domain used by the Oracle BAM service in
    the Email Account for Alerting field. This is the account that will appear in the
    From header of e-mailed alerts.
    5. Click Save to save your changes.
    6. Restart the Oracle BAM Event Service to make the changes effective.

    Hi everybody,
    I am having one query regarding Expenses workflow.
    Currently expense report is getting approved through worklist. As per requirment we want to approve it through email.
    To achive this functionality I have Added #WFM_OPEN_MAIL attribute to the message. ((new) AME Expense Report Approval Message) which is attached to the approval notification).Idealy it should work but still we are not getting Approve/Reject buttons in the email.
    Kindly suggest where I am maknig the mistake.........

    Now we want response buttons insted of this link.
    To achive this we added #WFM_OPEN_MAIL attribute to the approval message.
    but the changes are not reflecting in the notifications.
    I am guessing you are able to see the buttons when in the worklist.

  • Clearing expense reports reimbursed via payroll

    We are using i-Expnse and get many of our expense reports submitted through i-Expense that are payroll reimbursed so there is no need to pay them via AP, however, we do not have a good way to clear these expense reports in AP. They remain on hold in our AP system, we understand that we could clear them via the clear payments payment method, but this is one by one and we need to do a batch as we get hundreds of these types of expense reports. Is there another way to clear a batch of expense reports without running a "dummy" check payment batch?

    We are running 11.5.10. Invoices are imported into AP via a 3rd party Expense Reporting system. As we know, once the invoices are validated and approved in AP, accounting transactions are created, pushed to GL. Those invoices are now aging, a liablity until paid.
    We push the invoices to payroll, Batch Element Entry, pay out of payroll. And now as you stated, you have these invoices hanging in AP (aging). The original approach was to mimic a payment by touching all the tables (good luck), it created a mess. AP_AE_HEADERS, AP_AE_LINES, etc. Not worth it.
    Then we went this route, works okay, but the problem is it's hard to control what payroll does, i.e., keeping transactions in sync between AP and Payroll.
    If payroll manually creates expense reimbursements or if Payroll not reverses a reimbursemement, good luck keeping keeping in balance, what AP posts to GL and what Payroll posts to GL - we are now basically running 2 tranactional systems. Sorry, I digressed. Here is what we do now. In bank setup, created a bank where we won't run positive pay out of, the cash, and liability for this bank account are the same on so the payment journal that pushes to GL once the payment is made is a wash. We have a special pay group, the interface from Payroll back to AP updates the paygroup for the invoices to this pay group, the user runs a payment batch, confirms, etc,. Pushes to GL and now the invoices are cleared, removed from the Trial Balance. We have form personalizations so the user can never set an invoice to this special paygroup, the paygroup is set behind the scenes via our custom .pkb when interfacing from Payroll back to AP after Payroll has costed the expense reimbursements.
    Sure would be much easier if there was an API to call, clear the invoice. I've searched, don't believe one was/is available in 11.5.10. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Offline approval: Resend email on specific workflow

    We use item based approval and offline solution, where every SC is approved through emails only. Usually, when an approver claims that the email from the workflow/work item has not been sent to him, we go to SOST and find the mail, and sends it again. However, in some cases the email cannot be found in SOST, meaning that the work item has most likely never been sent before; although the workflow log claims that the work item is lying in the approver's inbox (SAP inbox of course). Is there a way to force the RSWUWFMLEC program that sends the emails to run on 1 particular work item? Or is it just not possible to make the workflow resend the email? Remember - the email is not in SOST, so it seems that RSWUWFMLEC has just skipped this work item to begin with, and apparently now it is too late...

  • Expense report without receipts and justification go through audit

    can anyone advise on how to force all expense report to go through audit process? I have tested that expense item without receipts and justification will be auto-approved by the system.

    Did you ever find a solution to this question? My internet expense templates are set to receipts are required for CASH and CREDIT CARD over a certain amount. Also, internet expense setup and admin is set to place the report on hold if receipt has not been received. I ran the Expense Report Export and they imported even though receipts were not received. Thank you.

  • Need to Generate PDF file and send it to customer through email-ALV report

    HI All,
       I am having data in Internal table.
    can we create PDF file with out having spool-request number.
    My requirement is whenever user clicks on execute button the output is generated in PDF format automatically and then send it to customer through email.
    I found few programs in SDN for generation PDF. But problem is everyone passing the spool request to the function module.
    spool request will be generated whenever we click on print button.
    Am I correct?.
    Is there any other way to create spool request automatically. If so we can pass the this spool number to the function module.

    You can control whether a payment advice note is to be sent by e-mail via BTE interface 00002040.
    The Function Module Sample Process is SAMPLE_PROCESS_00002040 which you
    can find by using transaction BERP. You can use this Function Module as
    a reference for the BTE and find instructions for setting up the
    interface.
    Note 407827 and1033893 provide good hint on how to achieve your business needs. Furthermore, I'd suggest you to send payment advices after payment run and not after proposal run.

  • How to Send the result of a report to a user through email.

    We have a report. It creates quotation. It automatically sends the report to the printer.
    in nace transction - for the particular quotation type - the output types are defined. The output types for printer, Fax, External Send and Edi is defined.For printer, the processing routine is zprogram.
    I want to send this report to the user through email. What i have to do? Whether i have to modify the zprogram or i have to define seperately output types for email also, without modifying the program?

    Please guide on how to make an expense report read only once it is approved and no change option should be enabled on enterprise portal. I have tried all the combinations of security in the ESS roles inside ABAP but not able to find the right combination. Please suggest.

    Change open travel Request or Expense report (AUTHF W10, W30)
    Change returned Travel Request or Expense report (AUTHF W11, W31)
    Create Expense report from approved Travel request (AUTHF W21)
    use the note    1402925
    If you create an expense report based on a not approved travel request,
    the system asks for authorization to change this request
    (W11 or W10) for AUTHF and then 30 or 31 for AUTHS.
    THis combination is of course given by your P_TRAVEL object.
    You need at least 2 seperate P_TRAVEL objects, whereas only 1 of them
    contains AUTHS values for expense report. This must only contain
    W2* and 30 / 31. Hopefully this could help.
