Expire contracts

Hi MM gurus
I want to expire all the contracts in MM R/3 , how do I go by doing that ?
I am thinking of having an ABAP program written , but need to tell the developers what must they activate or disable
I ve tried expring one contrcat by changing the validity date on the header , but I need more options and suggetsions .
I am planning to do just expire a batch/mass of contracts all at once
Will award rewards

Hello Nina,
As Anand explained, the contact will be considerred as expired based on validity period and/or Quantity / Value completion.
You can think about mass change (t-code MEMASSPO) using the changing field MASSEKKO-KDATE (Validity Period end date) in Object type : BUS2012 (Purchase orders) and you can set the message no as error message when user will use this expired contact.

i think there is no solution in standard settings:
so this is simple and feasable solution for your requriment.
let it me any contract at the back end it will be supported with PROGRAMS AND USER EXITS, right.
that is what i have asked to give the information to solve your question.
please catch the message and double click take the message number and go to SE91 and give the message and execute or display.
it will take you to the messsage screen and with its number.
select it and goto where used list.
there you will find I or W informatin or warning mesage
tell your ABAPER to convert it to E - error message with expired contract.

How to not display expired contract on Web-UI in SRM-MDM ?

Our business is as following:
the contract is published to SRM-MDM V3.0, but if contract is expired, when I select the content from catalog to create sc, then    this kind of contract should not display on catalog, how to do ?

    You are right , My case is not what you mean.
    I transfer valid contract from SRM to Mdm catalog, maybe after several months ,the contract is expired compare to today, I don't expect this kind of contract display on the catalog UI to mislead the user.
   Of course, I know how to prevent user to creat SC with selected expired contract by BADI, But I think that is not good idea.
   Actually , I can also solve this issue by development in SRM BADI and MDM , expired contract will not display in catalog, but that will make many changes compared with standar function.
   I wonder whether SAP have the better solution.

Use of expired contracts

Hello Experts,
I have a query regarding the usage of purchase contracts.
As a company, if I sign a contract with my vendor for a year, my contract will expire after that.
Should I be able to use this expired contract till I renew it?
I understand it is illegal to use an expired contract even for one day after the actual validity period. Is this opinion correct?
And is it the same for any industry irrespective of the size or the vertical it belongs to?
Kindly let me know how this is supposed to be.

Your query looks more towards business angle.
Yes.It is illegal to use the expired contract or after validity.
If we talk about SRM
you can change the validity.
Or you can create new contract wrt old contract
or you have option to create a Bid Invitation for expired contract to finalise the new contract

As Shadu says, create your own VOFM subroutine using '001' as a model and set it in VTAA. You can see in this subroutine this coding:
* Check the validity period of the reference document
if vbak-angdt > 0 and
     vbak-angdt > sy-datlo.
    write vbak-angdt to bp_datum_ausgabe.
    message w008 with bp_datum_ausgabe.
endif.
Replace the warning message (it's hardcoded) by other and use the field of date that you need.
If you need something else, dont hesitate to tell us.

Removal of Expired contract type

Hello friends,
My client requirment is expired contract type should be removed from the list. They are saying, 'The Accounts team some time selects that contract for raising invoice instead of new contract created for the same rental object.

BBP_DOC_STATUS_GET expired contract

Hello,
We are using SRM 7.0.
When i check the contract status in the SRM portal, it is Expired.
When i check the contract status in the SRM GUI using FM BBP_DOC_STATUS_GET, it is Released.
Could you please let me know the issue origin?

Hi,
the contract status 'expired' doesn't really exist. If the contract is not valid anymore as in: today's date is later than the end date of the contract the expired status shows up. The real status will still be released.
So this is not an issue, but the way SRM deals with contracts that are past their end date.

Email Notification to Customers for Expiring Contracts

Hi Gurus,
Is there a way in standard SAP to send email notification to customers regarding Expiring contratcs with details of valid period and materials in the contracts. So that the subscriptions are renewed before exxpiry and advances are collected.

Take a look at the Action field in the Header -> Contract data. There is a standard follow-up action "send internal email", but looks like it's only for sending an email to the responsible employee.
You might also be able to use the standard output functionality, but most likely additional programming would still be required to select the data and trigger the output processing. We've just develped our own ABAP program instead.

Unlock iPhone 4S with expired contract

I live in the united states with my wife and my parents live in Spain.
Both my wife and I are active members/contract holders of a verizon wireless lines with each an iPhone 5s.
We both upgraded from an iPhone 4S to an iPhone 5S when our contract expired and agreed to a new contract with the new phones (5S).
Right now I'm in Spain with my parents and I brought my wife's old iPhone 4S so my mother can upgrade from my old iPhone 3GS to my wife's iPhone 4S. The only problem is that its still locked and it doesn't accept the Spanish wireless provider Simyo.
My wife and I both:
are active members with active lines at Verizon Wireless
live in the united states
upgraded from an iPhone 4S to an iPhone 5S (and are currently using our 5S)
Now I would like to unlock my wife's old iPhone 4S so it will accept the new Simyo provider.
Like the title explains: the contract that paired the iPhone 4S got upgraded to an iPhone 5S, therefor I understand that the iPhone can be unlocked by the provider since there is no contract that binds the "lock".
How do I unlock the iPhone 4S while i'm in Spain? (extra info, if any action is required on the United States network without requiring the phone to be on US grounds, my wife can make the call since she's still at home).

Contracts can be monitored by scheduling jobs so that Buyers get notification on fund / valid period by .bbp_contract_check
contracts validity / fund can be indeed refered while shopping cart turn to purchase order.

I have bought an iPhone 4 16gb, and it's carrier is T-Mobile Bulgaria.
The contract is expired a long time ago but the iPhone is still locked.
I have been searching for T-Mobile Bulgaria but never found something about it.

3,And do the configuration in SRPO -SAP Web Application Server-Application Server-Generic Business Tools-Alert Management:

4,Active the workflow WS10400022
I run the progran :BBP_CONTRACT_CHECK ,and get the expired contract number ,and the   Message type-" NOTIFIC"
5 ,Active the smartforms :BBP_OUT_EXCEPTION
But I can't find any mails in the SOST , OR there is something wrong with my configuration ?

Hi Alex,
Have you debugged the BBP_CONTRACT_CHECK program?.
Also, can you confirm what type of alert category you have used (alert, message or notification) as I have seen it work ok with alert, but not tried the others so they may not work.

Cancelled contract lines are populating in the SR form's subject tab when clicking on 'Get Contracts' button. But user says, it should not be populated. What could be the reason? Please suggest.
I have told the user :
"In the case of a renewed contract, if the service request is logged during the effectivity of the original contract (which is now Expired), the original contract will be retrieved. If the service request is logged during the effectivity of the renewal contract then only the renewal contract will be retrieved.
Contract Entitlement on Subject tab is based on Contract Start and End dates. All the contracts i.e. expired, active, cancelled will appear until the end date. As we can see the contract ES-10165 is end dated on 09-DEC-2014, hence it will appear on the subject tab as per the functionality."
But the User is saying:
"Contract coverage is clear to be based on dates, and that is quite clear to me as well… the problem comes with the different statuses.
A SR can be associated to an “EXPIRED” contract line because the SR creation date could be falling between coverage line start and end dates, but can never be related to a “CANCELLED” line.
This “CANCELLED” status means that the line is not valid for the contract, so if it is not valid for a contract, it is not valid for referencing a job…and this is only creating wrong costs associations."

Hi Sudhakar,
Drop inline message components for each of the textFields and the textArea and then run the application. You could also use a message list component but inline message components for each of the input components would give you a clear idea if any errors are occuring. In case any such errors are indeed occuring then the situation can be analysed further.
