Export & import Activity

Guys,
I have to do export of one table "RELATEDEVENTS" and import the table in between the 13-APR-2013 AND 26-APR-2013.
Kindly refer sql commads: is these are perfect for the above demand.
expdp NFADMIN/dbsoc123nf@NFDB directory= RELATEDEVENTS_directory dumpfile=exp_RELATEDEVENTS_26April2013.dmp
logfile=exp_RELATEDEVENTS_27April2013.log TABLES=RELATEDEVENTS
impdp NFADMIN/dbsoc123nf@NFDB directory= RELATEDEVENTS_directory dumpfile=imp_RELATEDEVENTS_26April2013.dmp
logfile=imp_RELATEDEVENTS_27April2013.log TABLES=RELATEDEVENTS
QUERY=(NFADMIN.RELATEDEVENTS:"Where APPTIMESTAMP BETWEEN '13-APR-2013' AND '26-APR-2013'")pls let me know if any correction is required here...

Hi,
At first look the command syntax looks ok. Two things i'd suggest though:
1) use a parfile - the query command with all the quotes and brackets will need lots of escape characters to make it work - it's far easier if you do it in a parfile
2) do the query part on the extract - it should mean less work overall to do that.
Then just try it out and see if it works.

  • How do you produce both Customs Export & Import documentation in an STO?

    Hello All -
How do you produce both Customs Export & Import documentation in an STO scenario? For instance, if a company would like to create a STO in SAP to move materials from one plant to another and would like to produce both the Export & Import paperwork in GTS, what documents would be needed in R/3 to make this possible?
Would the following be needed, or is there some other way?
    - STO
    - Outbound Delivery & F8 Invoice to generate the Customs Shipment in GTS for the Export documentation
    - Inbound Delivery to generate the Customs Declaration in GTS for the Import documentation

    Thanks Sameer -
Yes, for the Import documentation, I think we will be declaring prior to Goods Receipt, so we will first use the Inbound delivery, and then the GR document later on once the materials have been received. (I believe you and I were talking about some of this in another thread actually.) Thank you for confirming this.
As for the Note, I have also seen this - but thought that this was to more or less give visibility to the sending plant up-front at STO of what export licenses might be needed. (According to the note, currently they would only be able to check if licenses were needed at the outbound delivery, and not on the PO)
Per the note: "Given a Stock Transport Purchase Order scenario: Plant A in Germany issues a STO PO against vendor plant US10 in the US. GTS looks at the PO in terms of importing from the US (departure country) coming into Plant A in Germany and performs compliance checks. Meanwhile, exporting plant US10 only has visibility at outbound delivery creation to see if am Export License is needed. Exporting plant US10 may want to know if they need a license to the country of destination, in this case Germany, at STO PO creation."
However with the proper country-level export/import activation of the legal regulations, I believe that you can still have the STO check export-related licenses even though it is mapped to GTS as IMPORD. I have done some testing on this and it appears to work (you just need to ensure that you are activating the relevant countries for export/import properly in the legal regulation, and you can have both export & import documents check the same legal regulation and deliver the correct license determination). I was just wondering if you had any experience with this that was contrary to what I have found, or if there is something you think I am missing..
    Thanks

  • SLD Export / import Technical and Business systems

    Dear all,
I am new to SLD administration.
We have task to update the local SLD on the Production PI system PPI ( Target ) with the business systems ZEC, ZSC from the Production Master SLD on Production solution manager system
PSM ( source ) using Export/Import on the necessary technical and business systems.
Please confirm whether i am following correct steps :
Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    ALL Instances
    Instances by Class
    Model
( which one of this option need to be selected , please let me know  ?? )
Go to SLD Administration on PSM source system.
    select Export button ->
Select business systems one by one and perform Export which will create .ZIP file
    at local machine.
Go to SLD Administration on PPI target system
    select Import button ->
Select Export ZIP file which created in previous steps from PSM and provide location from desktop
Start Import button ( only if you get Continue import option )
Please let me know if above procedure is correct for business systems
if yes then  what need to be done for Technical system ??...do they require Export/import also ?
If yes when i go to technical system option i get Export option disabled...but same way when i go to
business systems option i get Export button enable and able to perform the export.
Do i need to only Export / Import business systems ?
    Plese help me.
    Regards,
    RR

    Manoj,
It seems entries are added manually .... should we remove and run Import for the same ...
or just try to overwrite .... in case of overwrite option ( as we have open OSS message ) SAP has suggested through OSS message that If you end up with problems when trying to overwrite, then the PPI SLD is broken and will have to be re-built because someone made a manual change to it and got the GUIDs out of synch with the master.
I do not understand if target system PPI SLD gets broken during overwriting operation as mentioned by SAP ... whats is the way / steps / procedure to Re-build SLD .
In rebuilt - process do i need to Import ( Export -> Export lines -> ALL ) the export backup created before start of this activity ? please let me know SLD rebuilt steps and about Remove - reimport issue.
Appreciate you time on this. thanks in advance.

  • XML Export/Import Query & Variables

    Hello,
We are currently bringing up a new environment/landscape.  With that, I'm trying to copy some of the query elements off our current production server and move them back to the new development server.  After much wasted time trying to duplicate the query manually, I've decided to do it via XML Export/Import.
I have successfully created an XML file from our production system (sitting on my local machine).  I then go to the import area on the development system and bring up the XML file I created.  I then process the file on the development server.  The import wizard tells me that it saves the objects successfully, but I'm unable to find any of the objects on the system.  So, I have two questions.
    1)  Is this the proper way to do this, or is there a better way (assuming not on the transport path)
    2)  With the logs saying successful, where do those objects go?  Is there a way that I can go find them?  Do they need activated?
    Thanks in advance,
    JW

  • Export/import portal favorites

Hi, we have NW2004 Portal SP16.  Is it possible to export/import portal favorites between users?  The reason I asked is that we are planning on using 2 LDAP data sources in production and some users will be migrated in Active Directory from companyA.com to companyB.com.  We noticed in our development environment that the favorites are gone.
    Thanks in advance

I asked OSS and they said :
you should be able to transport these as an
offline package using ICE. It should simply be a case of transporting
over the userhome directory. However, please insure that the user is
a system principal and has full control of all the userhome
directories otherwise you may experience problems with permissions.
Please see the link below regarding transporting Offline content in ICE

  • How to speed up export import

    Database 10.2.0
While doing export/import operation what are factors effecting the speed of operation..?

Below are the points which I collected from different links in my Oracle Notes:
    Faster Export:
    1. direct=y
    2. subsets by query option
    3. proper buffer size by rows in array * max row size
    4. place the dump file to another disk (which is not having any datafile; to avoid I/O contention)
    5. when database activity is low (in the morning or late eve)
    6. PARALLEL
    Faster Import:
    1. indexes=n
    2. constraints=n
    3. user large buffer parameter
    4. increase recordlength
    5. commit=n
    6. statistics=none
    7. enough undo size
    8. enough pga/sort_area_size
    9. enough / Increase db_cache_size/db_block_buffers size and share_pool_size
    10. when database activity is low (in the morning or late eve)
    11. PARALLEL
Now check how your import is going on:
    select
    substr(sql_text,instr(sql_text,'into "'),30) table_name,
    rows_processed, round((sysdate-to_date(first_load_time,'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'))*24*60,1) minutes,
    trunc(rows_processed/((sysdate-to_date(first_load_time,'yyyy-mm-dd hh24:mi:ss'))*24*60)) rows_per_minute
    from
    sys.v_$sqlarea
    where
    sql_text like 'insert %into "%' and command_type = 2 and open_versions > 0;

I have run the command db_active to delete the old data in the destination DB.
when i am running te command :
    Loadercli -d SDB -u sapr3,pwd -b "implrtfile"
I ma getting error that user is not available . I have tryied to check users from sql prmt " select * from users" but it give error that
-4004 unknown table users sqlstate 42000
    and in DBM error:
    -244988 SQL error[info state -d]; -4004 , Unknown table name : INFO_STATE
Can any budy help me to restore the data and how to solve this issue ?
    Regards,

If you activated the database you have to load the system tables afterwards, without that the database doesn't have any usertables or other tables.

  • How to export/import new SCV and products?

    Hi,
I have created a new product, product version, software component and software component version in the SLD.
Now I need to import that to another XI system with a different SLD. The product, product version etc. is unknown in the target XI system.
How/What do I have to export all these new things?
If I try to export/import the SCV, I get the following message during import:
"<b>The target namespace for the special import already contains data for one or more export lines. Continuing this import may corrupt the state of your data.</b>
Import CIM models and data to the current namespace: sld/active  (Database).
Ensure that this import will not cause an inconsistent state of your data.
If you are uncertain about the consequences of this import, you should cancel it. "
Do I need more export/import steps? That means: First the product, than the product version, than the SV and finally the SVC?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Which background process involves in datapump export/import?

    Hi guys,
Could any one please tell me which background process involves in datapump export and import activity? . any information please.
    /mR

Data pump export and import is done by foreground server processes (master and workers), not background.

  • Reduce export import time

    Hl All,
I want to reduce the total time spent during export-import.
    Restrictions:
    =========
    1)Cross Platform
2)exp and imp from lower version to upper version
    3)No 10G database
Basically i want to do exp and imp in parallel so it reduces the total time spent on this activity. I thought of doing schema level exp-imp in parallel but i am afraid of the dependencies.
Is there any other way to achieve the same or if i go with the above specified approach, can anyone provide some valuable inputs to that.
I am trying to automate the above so that it becomes one time effort and rest all the times it(script) should do at his own.
    Thanks and regards
    Neeraj

    Hi All,
Data volume is not less than 60GB and not more than 150GB.
If i use a pipe on unix in between exp-imp what if my exp is slower at any
point of time and import is faster(Any reason)?
is import going to wait for the contents coming into the pipe through export or import will fail.
I can consider creating indexes using the flat file.
is there any way to get only the indexes in the flat file, i mean if i use indexfile
option for import it gives me "CREATE TABLE..." statements too which means import utility is reading full
dumpfile and giving me the output, i want only the "CREATE INDEX..." statement in the flat file.
What about the schema level export and import?
Any valuable inputs or proper steps from anyone out there
Any restrictions while importing the schema's.
    Thanks and Regards

  • DTW importing activity for contact persons

    Hello All
    SAP B1 V 9.0 and DTW 900.52.1
I am trying to export data from one software and import into SAP Business one using the DTW.
I have imported my business partners as well as the contact persons associated with the business partners successfully using DTW OCRD and OCPR.
My next step is to export from previous software the activity associated with each contact person.
For example I have business partner C0001 and many contact persons under C0001. Business partner C0001- contact person Jane Doe, John Doe, John Smith etc.  What I am trying to accomplish is import activity to SAP B1 for each contact person (Jane Doe, John Doe, etc) using the DTW.  I cannot seem to figure out how to import the data so that it is associated with correct contact person for the appropriate business partner?  I can import the activity for the business partner but not for each contact person.
    Any advice greatly appreciated.
Can I create a query to obtain the CntcCode from OCLG when no activity has been created?

    Problem solved
I was trying to obtain the internal number associated with all OCLG Contact Person regardless if they had any activities.  I needed the information to migrate activities from and old system into SAP.  Selecting cntctcode from contact person will not generate the internal codes from OCLG and you will receive a data not found error.  Only the contact persons with activity would be produced.  I received some additional assistance and got the following query to work.
    select t1.cntctcode as CntctCodeFromOCPR,t1.name as ContactPersonFromOCPR,t0.cardcode,t0.cardname,t0.CntctPrsn from ocrd t0
    join ocpr t1 on  t0.cardcode=t1.cardcode

  • Difference between client Export/Import and a system refresh

    Hi Experts,
I would like to know the diffrence between client Export/Import and System refresh.
Actually i have done client export from our production system and imported it into our quality system, I have asked our functional consultants whether the production data is now available in Quality. They replied me saying whole data of production system is available in Quality system as off date i have copied the export.
The size of the export was around 8GB, How can this have all the data of Production system which is around 600 GB.
In this way what is the use of System refresh which is done by database level ( changing the cntrl file etc... ), As i am getting all the data by doing Client Export/Import.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Injamuri

    Hi,
What is system refresh when and why it is done?
The system refersh is nothing but the deletion of the client and replacing the data from other client. For example : you have clients 100, 200 and 300. Suppose when you want to refresh the client 100 you remove the client 100 and replace it with 200 0r 300 as per your reqiurement.
Mostly the refresh of clients will be happen at the time of development stage.
System Refresh is a simplified term to Client Copy. Client Copy means copying the production client on to the quality to test the real data. As recommend by SAP this need to carried out every 3 months.
The process to carry out the same is as follows:
    1. Create a client on quality system using txn scc4
    2. Create a RFC between Production system and Quality System (need to create on quality system)
    3. Login to the newly created client using sap* and pass as a password
    4. Txn sccl to start the client copy.
You can test the client copy by selecting the test run option. (test run will estimate the time taken for the activity).

  • Automate dynamically selected Discoverer report Export/Import

    hello,
I have a situation where in I need to export newly created reports and import them back again after cloning.
eg: user will create report in dev1 instance. This instance will get daily refreshed from prod. But we do not want to loose these reports after cloning of DEV1.
Query that we wil use to select reports is :-
    select *
    from eul5_documents
    where doc_created_Date between (sysdate -1) and sysdate;
This is daily activity and hence has tobe automated.
    Quick reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Hi
In theory, your idea is sound. However, if your have any sharing of reports then these could be lost using your method as you will lose any that have been shared today.
Why don't you use Discoverer's in-built export | import capabilities via the Admin tool? This way you can be guaranteed to get everything right. You could use your SQL to detect workbooks that have been created during the day and then take those names and use the Admin tool to export them. Following the refresh from Production you could then import them.
    Best wishes

  • Memory Limitation on EXPORT & IMPORT Internal Tables?

    Hi All,
I have a need to export and import the internal tables to memory. I do not want to export it to any data base tables. is there a limitation on the amount of memroy that is can be used for the EXPORT & IMPORT. I will free the memory once I import it. The maximum I expect would be 13,000,000 lines.
    Thanks,
    Alex (Arthur Samson)

You don't have limitations, but try to keep your table as small as possible.
Otherwise, if you are familiar with the ABAP OO context, try use Shared Objects instead of IMPORT/EXPORT.
