Export specific query/report definition
Hi,
I there a method of exporting just one query definition or report ? I tried the Export Data functionality , from Import and Export Tools under System Administrator, but seems like it exports all the reports. A filter on this page could be nice, just to select several reports.
So, is there another approach for exporting just one query definition ?
Thank you in advance,
Simion
You can duplicate and customise the OML queries to pick up the objects that you need.
Steps:
1)Under query definitions Search for OML queries.
2)FOr reports duplicate the query FCI-CustomReports-OML and customise it as per your requirements
3)FOr queries duplicate the query FCI-QueryDefinitions-OML and customise it as per your needs.
you can customise either of the above to pick up one or more custom queries.
4)While exporting. Select SRM object list and specify the name of the query that you have just customzed.
5)Run the export and retrieve the OMA
Hope this helps

Immanuel

How to Export BW Query Report to .csv file
I try to export BW QueryReport to .csv file using ReportAgent and URL command in WEB Template:
<SAP_BW_URL DATA_PROVIDER='VIEW1' CMD='EXPORT' FORMAT='CSV'>
but can't find the result file.
Is someone have experience in exporting BW Reports to file in automatic way?Another way to do it would be to use transaction RSCRM_BAPI.
Not ideal for large volumes but allows you to extract from a query.

Exporting Report definitions/source codes
Hi gyus,
I'm looking for a software or tool or an algorithm which I could use to export all the Report definitions and search in them. Especially I mean source codes of formulas and section-conditions. My "heritage" is a huge chaotic report and often I need to look for a specific thing which may be contained in any formula source code, any suppress condition, anywhere...
I know of .rpt Inspector, which is unfortunately too expensive for me ($400).
I know of the CR XI ability to export Report definitions to .txt files. But they aren't complete since they contain only condition source codes (those ones you type in via section expert), and I miss the formula source codes.
Thank you so much in advance for any help or tip
Regards
Martin F.Hi, I do know about this feature. unfortunately, the resulting exported file doesn't contain complete report definition info. Especially formulas' source codes. So I can't search (CTRL+F) within these parts of source code.

Issues with Exporting to Report Definition File
Post Author: dcasper70
CA Forum: Exporting
We just notices a strange thing happening when exporting to a report definition file. Hoping someone can explain it and/or offer us some kind of solution. We're currently about 25 deep into an extensive documentation phase involving 500+ reports, and just noticed this issue.
We assumed that ALL formulas that are being used in the report should be written out to the report definition file, either in section 4.0 (Formulas) or section 4.3 (Other Formulas). We have now noticed that in most reports this is not occurring.
In fact, in almost all cases, the RDF section 4.0 is completely blank, and section 4.3 has only a small fraction of the formulas in the report!!!
Is there some export option that we haven't found? Some setting somewhere we need to look into??? Does any detailed documentation on this type of exporting exist that someone can point us to?
Most search results that we've come across have implied or directly stated that ALL formulas/parameters/objects/etc will be exported. This clearly is not the case in our experience.
Someone please show me that I'm just missing something simple!!!!!
Running Crystal 10.0.0.533,
Database type = Oracle Server
Table Type = Stored ProcedurePost Author: JohnLouis
CA Forum: Exporting
Most likely, that is how it works, check out this article
http://www.bridgebuilder.com/bb_documents/newsletters/2003/08-03%20newsletter.pdf
Only formulas that are inserted directly in the report are reported, not referenced ones, or those contained within a text box. I have found ReportMiner, CrystalKleen and .rpt Inspector Professional Suite, but have not used any of them. If you try these, let me know if it works for what you are doing, I may need to do the same soon. -
In SSMS after creating the query Report, how to export excel the same report from SSMS
for Beginners in SSMS after the report is created , how to export the same report to excel, I did try the option to task and export and follow the procedure, this procedure does not export the same report, the one was created, unless I am missing some steps,
is there a way to do just like we do in SSRS go to solution explorer, and properties and add the Target Server URL or not

any help will be great. I am not technical person, just starting to learn from internet.
thanks in advance. As you have said you are not a technical person try using Import Export wizard.
Refer this link
http://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertutorial/203/simple-way-to-import-data-into-sql-server/
And another simplest one is to copy the result set from the query window. Right click the result and select "Copy with Headers".

Export in Query Ready mode not Working.for FR reports in HTML view
Hi,
When we run the FR reports in HTML view in Workspace, there is an option at the bottom to "Export in Query Ready mode",it's not exporting the report in Smart view excel .
But some of our users are able to export the report in SV.We are using EPM 11.1.1.3. I have checked the IE 7 settings with other users and it's same.
Does anybody has any idea what could be the cause?
Thanks in advance.
BCIt is the behavior, Query ready mode will only pulls the members which are in Essbase (no FR calculated fields)

The feature, "to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" has been introduced in Financial Reporting 11.1.2.3.
Logon to EPM Workspace.

The new option, called "Disabled" is available for Query Ready Mode. If selected will disable Query Ready mode completely.

How to hide/disable option "Export In Query Ready Mode" in HTML FR reports
Hi all,
is there a way to hide or disable the option "Export In Query Ready Mode" for HTML FR reports?
Thanks in advance!
Regards
AndréYes, it is a cool feature but I didnt ask for it :-) Besides it doesnt work completely without errors/warnings:
If i click on the link and then on open (save xls works fine) an error message occurs: "Could not open 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'"
After click on OK another error message occurs:
"Microsoft Excel cannot access the file 'http://<servername>/hr/hrget/modules/com/hyperion/reporting/web/office/HROfficeReport.jsp/test.xls?gridname=grid1&iInstanceId=18885&format=excel.2002&viewAs=query&previewDone=true&promptDone=true'. There are several possible reasons:
The file name or path does not exist.
The file is being used by another program.
The workbook you are trying to save has the same name as a currently open workbook.
After click on OK the XLS export opens correctly but the messages are annoying. Perhaps anybody can help me ;-)
Thanks and kind regards

FR Web Report - Can't export to query
In Hyperion Planning/Workspace 11.1.2.1, after running Web Report (HTML), cannot "Export in Query Mode" to Smartview. It launches Excel, but the worksheet stays blank and the report is not populated. It doesn't make a differenc if I'm already logged in to Smartview or not.
The report successfully exports to Query in 11.1.2.0. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!I would suggest to use a forum under /community [original link is broken]
close this message here and open a new under the provided link.

SCCM 2012 Query report for specific software installed.
I have Reporting point installed and it seems to be working as I was able to run OS reports.
Here's what I would like to do.
1. I need a query/report to show us all the machines that do not have Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection installed.
2. I also need a query/report showing what machines still have Sophos AV installed.
Any help is greatly appreciated it.
Thanks,
VoevI was not able to use the Reporting to get computers without FEP installed. So I did a workaround.
Create Device Collection for computers with FEP installed
1. Device Collections => Create Device Collection =>name it "Computers with FEP installed=> Query Rule Properties => Edit Query Statement => Criteria tab => Add the following statements
Criterion Type: Simple value
Where: Installed Software - ARPDisplay Name
Operator: is equal to
Value: System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection (as appeared in Add/remove program name)
Create Device Collection for computers without FEP installed
1. Device Collections => Create Device Collection => Name "Computers without FEP Installed" => Query Rule Properties => Add Rule => Include Collections => Tick "All Systems" => OK => then you need to add
the Exclude by => Add Rule => Exclude Collections => Tick " Computers with FEP Installed => OK
So in my "All Systems" Collection has 1000 members
Computers with FEP Installed collection has 900 members
Computers without FEP Installed collection has 100 members
Add the with FEP installed & without FEP installed collections together is equal to 1000 members of the All Systems. -

No, this functionality is not available in current versions of the Grid Control product. If you want to see this capability included in future versions, a Product Enhancement Request needs to be opened. XML Publisher report definitions not opening
Id like to reimport all the XML Pub Report definitions into my PS instance.
I have a PT 8.49 instance and whenever i click on the report definitions of the XML publisher i get this JAVA error:
"Java Exception: java.lang.NoCl assDefFoundError: com/peopleso ft/pt/xmlpublisher/PTRTFPocess or: finding class com.peopleso ft.pt.xmlpublisher.PTRTFPocess or (2,725) PSXP_ENGINE.RTFProc essor.OnExecute Name:generate XSL PCPC:239 Statement:9 Called from:PSXP_RPTDEFNMANAGE"
SCREENSHOT: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/4/al4q.png/
I was thinking maybe I could export the report definitions from a working instance and import here. Does that seem like a solution that will workPSXPCLEAN isnt part of PT 8.49
So i tried instead to migrate XMLP definitions using Application Designer from a working instance of PS CS.
But there error is still the same:
"Java Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/peoplesoft/pt/xmlpublisher/PTRTFPocess or: finding class com.peoplesoft.pt.xmlpublisher.PTRTFPocess or (2,725) PSXP_ENGINE.RTFProcessor.OnExecute Name:generate XSL PCPC:239 Statement:9 Called from:PSXP_RPTDEFNMANAGE"
Notice the underlined part.
In the working instance it is "PTRTFProcess" not "PTRTFPocess" -
Exporting a crystal report as PDF and Attaching to an email via code - Filename Issuses?
Post Author: alynch

I need to export a crystal report as a pdf and send it out via email. I have created a subroutine that works but the attached filename come up as "untitled.txt" so the receiving machine believes it is a text file. If I rename it on the recipients machine to a ".pdf" I can open it with acrobat and it looks OK. Does anyone know how to rename the file as a pdf prior to sending it out?
Thank You.

Export Arabic Crystal Report To PDF
Hi,
I am using JRC component to build crystal reports in English & Arabic. All works well except exporting Arabic crystal report to PDF?
Crystal File Format Schema: 12.0.0
I was reading another 3 years old thread and this was stated there:
"If you are using the Java Reporting Component, you will not be able to see Arabic characters in your PDF document because the JRC does not support font embedding, and only works with a specific character set when exporting to Adobe" Any from SAP can you please confirm that does this still hold true? And are there any chances or plan to add support in future?
Regards
SCPlease disregard that part of the previous message.
As mentioned earlier, it depends on which of our products you are using to export the report. If you are using the Java Reporting Component, you will not be able to see Arabic characters in your PDF document because the JRC does not support font embedding, and only works with a specific character set when exporting to Adobe.
If you are using the Crystal Reports designer or BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK to export the report, you will need to ensure you have the character set installed on the same machine; for BOE SDK it needs to be on the machine with all of the services.
