Exporting Audio with handles?

Hello there,
I really like the Rolls in FCPX but today I've been asked to deliver the audio of my project with some handles. And I don't know how.
I couldn't find anything in the web. Everyone understand the benefits of the rolls but no one is mentioning any handles.
Anyone?
Thanks.

It will likely be another year before FCP X is really up to speed to where 7 and probably a year before everyone elses programs have the ability to import FCPXML. Things like X2Pro Audio convert will be obsolete by then.
I wish Apple would somehow incorporate Event Manger X into FCPX as it is absolutely ridiculous to have to use another program to organise the way FCP X handles media and projects for performance effeciency.

FCPX XML not exporting audio with any project.
I have tried with several different projects to no avail.
    Any thoughts or suggestions?
    Thanks

I used no special setting. I even tried to just export audio. Still no audio. I checked the file with GSpot, it shows that it has audio.
Then I though I just went ahead an encode this and output to DVD as a test. It is indeed still no audio when playback on home dvd player.

Thank you all for the msgs!
In audio post-production a .BWF files is used (broadcast wave file), with all the "audio information" timecode is used to sync with an external video...
To do this kind of export i would need an extrenal hardware to record it... i was trybg to know if you guys have another way os doing it.
I can sync by 1khz, 3/5/10 seconds from start... but with tc ... it would rock on!
    Thank you all...

  • Bounce or Export Audio with Send-EFX

    Hi,
can somebody tell me, if there is a time-saving solution to export audio with the sends, automation and inserts? Of course I can bounce a solo-track step by step, but if you have to do it with 100 Songs...
    Tanks for every note

Use the Bounce button on the Stereo Out. Exports audio with sends, automation and inserts. The whole shebang.
100 songs ? That's ten albums right there. Are you related to Frank Zappa ?

  • Exporting audio with a patch?

I have been using Logic Pro X to record some musical tracks in my studio. The sound quality of the program is phenomenal. I haven't ever had the idea to switch programs, it's just this one thing that gets me. So my question is, How do you export one of the audio tracks you lay down WITH the patch you added to it? I have put patches on the tracks before and tried exporting the track as an audio file, but it does not export it with the patch I put on it in Logic Pro X (it only exports the audio that was recorded originally). Please Help! I have struggled with this one area for so long, I have even gotten "I Don't Know" from Apple support members, given that this is a very complex program with all of the possibilities, i understand that they don't. Therefore, I am asking you guys. Thank you so much!
    I am using Logic Pro X 10.1.1
iMac with OS X Yosemite 10.10.2

Use the word "Bounce" as a search term.

  • CS4 not exporting audio with video

For a while now I've been working on a video for my class, mish-mashing together a bunch of smaller .avi files into a cohesive whole. Everything inside of Premier works perfectly. I edited the audio tracks with Soundbooth, so now they are .wav. When I export the video, first I tried MPEG4 and messed around with a lot of settings. After this didn't work, I searched around and discovered that Premiere occasionally doesn't like it when you change the pre-set settings, so I switched to H.264 High Quality and exported with that. Same deal: the video works fine, no audio. And yes, I made sure to check the box that says "audio and video" and not just video.
In short: How do I get Premiere CS4 to export my audio and video when I tell it to?

I used no special setting. I even tried to just export audio. Still no audio. I checked the file with GSpot, it shows that it has audio.
Then I though I just went ahead an encode this and output to DVD as a test. It is indeed still no audio when playback on home dvd player.

  • Exporting Audio with Quicktime Movie - Error 29562

There was a prior post about this that the OP marked as 'Answered' but it really wasn't for myself and a few others, so I'm posting a new topic. Sorry if that's inappropriate.
Using Logic 8.0, I've scored a section for a film and want to bounce that scene for client approval. I have the scene set with cycle region and I go to Options>Movie>Export Audio to Movie... I'm leaving the settings at their default states, and Logic runs through the process of bouncing the file, but at the end I get "Unknown System Error. Result Code=29562"
I've searched around and can't figure out what's going on. This worked fine for me on the last project I did in Logic 7 a month ago, but for some reason not working in Logic 8. Haven't applied the latest Logic update as some folks were complaining about it and I'd already started this project. Anyone know if it's addressed there?
    Otherwise, thanks for any help!

Just installed Logic 8.0.1 and the problem has disappeared! That's the only thing I've tried since the update, so I'm assuming it's fixed anyway. Now to see if anything else goes screwy....

  • Exporting audio with markers button is greyed out.... ANY HELP MUCH APPRECIATED!

    Hello
so, background to the story. Now peak pro is defunkt on OSX I am trying to use Audition to create cdmasters. The idea being I will compile the album in audition, export wav files of each track including gaps and compile DDPi master in Sonoris DDP creator. Should be fine but quite a few limitations I've found already in audition.
1)Main question is this. Exporting tracks. I have compiled and added all the markers in to a 30+ track cd. I've exported whole thing to a single mixdown that includes marker but the 'EXPORT AUDIO OF SELECTED RANGE MARKERS TO SEPERATE FILES IS GREYED OUT' even if i select everything....
2)In multitrack mode, if you want to move one clip in the middle of the sequence, is there any way to select all the clips in all the following clips so that they all slip back together. I know you can zoom out and select everything but that is very boring especially when you have loads of tracks and if some are only a couple of second long soundbytes. In SAdie and Peak Pro it was very easy to set this function.
3)Moving markers. if I am moving a number of tracks is there a way of selecting and moving the relevant markers as well ? At the moment it seems like I'd have to select all clips in the boring zoom out method and then move each marker individually? Surely not...
    2) & 3) are very annoying when you only want to move one clip by a few frames or seconds.
Any ideas folks ? Like i say uestion 1 is most pressing!
    Thanks in advance

thanks guys, all makes sense, really appreciate it.
I will try the merging out. I was in a hurry to get a CDREF out so ended up just exporting the compiled album out as one wav from audition and adding PQ points in Sonoris. Not ideal especially as running order etc is bound to change.
I can't recomened Sonoris DDP creator enough, fantastic program and very reasnably priced. I have Soundblade LE as well but find it too clunky to bother learning, its one of the least intuitive audio programs I've ever come across.
Maybe Audition and Sonoris should team up, if you could add PQ points into audition it could become the best OSX option for compiling cd masters.
Did you have any thoughts on questions 2)&3)

  • Exporting audio with video like it was recordedw

We have shot a ton of video with the dvx-100 and 100a. sometimes final cut captures it weird and i'll have a -03:37 or whatever sync problem. If there is an easier way tell me, i want to export the video after i sync it so I can reimport it and just cut it from there. Or is there another way to do this?

    I already synced it,
    Ah. Good for you.
now i want to export it to a format which can have two mono tracks instead of a mixed pair.
That's not really the issue. The issue is how your target app will handle the two tracks. Where are you going with the file? Usually you'd just pan both tracks to separate L and R. Then, even though theyare being mixed by your playback app, they're still separated.
One of the channels has a tram on it, which i need, the other is just room tone(camera mic) .
So you don't need both? Or you want to be able to mix them separately in the next app?
the audio was recorded with two mono channels, I need the same with the export.
Not easy to grasp what you want form this post, glad you made a second shot at trying to ask the question. but you still haven't offered up enough information yet.

  • Crash 0::42 when Exporting Audio with Quicktime:

    Hello Folks,
We're having an issue with exporting .mov files from After Effects.  When a user tries rendering a project through Make Movie > Ouput Module > Quicktime Movie, AE crashes with the error code 0::42 if the user simply clicks the 'Format Options' button for Audio output.  In addition, if the user selects File > Export > Quicktime Movie, the movie will get about half way done and crash with the same error.
This error occurs on all of our workstations.  We are using CS4 and HP workstations of various makes and models, the only direct similarity is they all use Realtek built in audio.  I have done some troubleshooting using procmon.exe and the issue that seems to be coming up points to a conflict with our audio driver and Quicktime (see the following regesty entries below)
The following kept coming up with a BUFFER OVERFLOW and NAME NOT FOUND results:
    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0262&SUBSYS_103C 130A&REV_1002\4&705ED8E&0&0001\DirectSound\Device Presence
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
Also, both registry entries point to the file
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS4\Support Files\(Media Core plug-ins)\Common\AsioWdm.dll
Does AsioWdm.dll have some conflict with our HD Realtek audio and quicktime?
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Sound card drivers / codecs.  This actually allowed me to export Quicktime movies without crashing via File > Export.  However, we're still experiencing the crash when clicking on 'Format Options' from Make Movie > Output Module > Format Options.
Does anyone have any idea what's causing / how to resolve our issue?
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ben

    Hello again,
Thank you for your responses, here is an update on our status:
I am testing a simple scene with a .wav file.  AE only crashes when we're using the Quicktime module and if we click on Format Options in the audio settings.  All other modules seem to work just fine.  Interestingly, if we choose File > Export > Quicktime Movie, we can access the audio compression options and AE does not crash.
In regards to ASIO, as far as I know, we are not interfacing with anything else.  The workstations we're using have built-in speakers, but I don't see how that could be an issue and nothing else is plugged in.
As for the codecs, we have the k-lite package installed as well as DivX, Xvid and whatever comes with the Realtek drivers.  I tried uninstalling k-lite and xvid, but neither seemed to help.
    Other things I have tried:
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled AE
    - Updated Quicktime to the newest version
    - Uninstalled and reinstalled Quicktime to version 7.65
    - Disabled openGL support
NOTE: we recently tried this on one of our workstations (z600) with windows 7 64 bit and we got the same issue.
No matter what we do, AE still crashes when we have the Quicktime format selected and click the Format Options Button for the audio settings.
    Any other ideas?

  • Quicktime 7 Pro: Demuxed MPEG-2 Won't Export Audio With Video

Hi,I'm trying to create .MP4 files from my camera's multiplexed MPEG-2 files. I have used MPEG Streamclip to split audio/video and save the resulting files in .MOV format. Then, after editing in QT 7 Pro, I want to export the separate audio and video in a single MP4, but have been unable - I can export either audio or video, but not both. The export options allow only selection of audio or video.
It seems like this should be a really simple issue, but I can't figure it out...

There is not a version "just" for Intel. There is one for QT6.3 and earlier and one for 6.4 and later and the latter one includes Intel macs. E.g. it also works on PPC macs with QT 6.4 or later.
I have that one on an Intel mac, didn't upgrade a thing from the files and programs transfer from a Powerbook G4 and it works fine.

  • Export audio for post

Is there an easier way to send audio to a post house WITHOUT all the levels and adjustments?  In FCP7, I'd export OMFs with handles, etc...
I am good about naming all the audio rolls in FCPX but I adjust the levels and all that while working with clients, then it's a big pain to go through and remove it all just to export the original audio (especially if I need to go back to the edit).  An audio post loves handles and I have to manually add them ..  I have X to 7 but it's just a pain to go through all that work.
I WISH FCPX COULD EXPORT AUDIO AND IGNORE THE LEVEL AND ADJUSTMENTS so my audio guys would get the original audio (with handles),,,
    thanks

You can search the entire web for tricks on how to make this easier or more complex. But it looks like you must select all the clips by role and then use the RESET PAN and RESET Volume buttons to remove your key framing before you share the stems. Handles? Sorry, doesn't look it's possible from the timeline.
There's a feedback thingy in FCP. Be sure to offer your suggestion.
And hope someone else will have a better suggestion.

  • Export Video with Multiple Audio Tracks

I need to be able to export video with audio on multiple tracks. I have moved to CS6 from FCP 7 where this was rather easy to do. I can make a preset in AME with more than enough mono tracks but after the encode the video is always smashed to one mono track. I am not doing a 5.1 mix, there are different mic's on each track that need to remain independant of one another and mixing them down within Premiere is not feasable. Are there no options to just have the audio 'pass through' like Compressor? Sorry if there are other posts but I have been searching forever and can not find a simple answer on this topic.
Also, is there no way to have the source timecode burn in? Putting a filter on the video in a sequence is unacceptable, I am very displeased to find that this doesn's seem possible in AME or Premiere, it has been part of Apple's suite for years.
Example of my preset from Compressor:
    Name: Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)
Description: QuickTime movie with Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) and audio pass-through
    File Extension: mov
    Estimated size: unknown
    Audio: multi-track pass-through
    Video Encoder
              Width: (100% of source)
              Height: (100% of source)
              Pixel aspect ratio: Default
              Crop: None
              Padding: None
              Frame rate: (100% of source)
              Frame Controls: Automatically selected: Off
Codec Type: Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy)
              Multi-pass: Off, frame reorder: Off
              Automatic gamma correction
    Progressive
              Pixel depth: 24
              Spatial quality: 50
              Min. Spatial quality: 0
              Temporal quality: 0
              Min. temporal quality: 0
    Timecode Generator
              Position: Lower Right--Title Safe
              Alpha: 1.000
              Label: Source Timecode
              Start Timecode at 00:00:00:00 false

    Hi James,
For exporting a multitrack .wav file, you have to start a project with a multichannel audiomaster (3-16 tracks).
Copy and paste your complete edit to the new editsetting.
Now in the audiomixer you can route your audiolayers to the multichannel you like.
(CH1+2 pan to left is channel 1, pan to right is channel 2 and for a stereo track pan to center : channel 1 for left and channel 2 for right.)
Then you export your project to a 3-16 tracks multitrack .wav file.
When you need mono tracks you can import your multitrack .wav file in premiere. Then send it to Audition (edit in Audition) and then adobe will convert the file into mono tracks.
You'll find the mono tracks in your audio capture folder or can premiere search for then by 'reveal in explorer'.
The multi track .wav file has got timecode within the file.
When exporting in QT you can also choose for a multitrack audio file. It also contains your timeline timecode.
.avi or .mp4 video files cannot be exported with more than 5.1 channels of audio
MXF OP1a in XDCAMHD can also be exported with max. 16 channels of audio. It also contains your timeline timecode.
Hopefully you can get further with Premiere Pro with this info.
    Succes with it!!

  • Export MXF with multiple audio channels for broadcast

    Hi,
I work at a broadcast company as an editor. We always used FCP with the free sony xdcam plugin to export. This plugin seems to be one of the rare ways to export an MXF with 4 audio channels. I don't know exactly why we need to export it for broadcasting with 4 audio channels, but we do.
Since our workload has grown enormously the last few months and it will only become more we are optimizing our workflow. We also work with a lot of different endboards in After Effects and we made a nice template to work with. And since AE and Premiere can make a dynamic link we are considering changing from FCP to Premiere.
Now comes the question!: The only obstacle we could not find an answer to is exporting it with 4 audio channels as an MXF from Premiere CS5. Will there be some development on this level regarding CS6?
A solution to this should save us a lot of time!
Any help will be highly appreciated!
I also attached an example for the usual MXF files we export

I have the same problem. I have a project with multiple audio channels and I want to export them as individual channels in a MXF-file.
    Method:
When I created a new sequence I choose "Multichannel" from the "Tracks" page. When I export the MXF OP1a, I choose 8 channels from the "Audio" page. None of the channels are muted.
    Result:
The rendered file contains 8 channels, but only the first two channels contains any audio (main left + right), the rest of the channels are empty. Channel 1 and 2 contains the audio from all channels, but I want the channels to be seperated in the same way as they are layered in Premiere.
I don't understand your answer to wleoni75's question. Could you please help me further?

  • Exporting clips in the timeline with handles

Is there a way to export a selected clip in the timeline with handles? I know you can export all the clips in the timeline with handles using Media Manager, but is there a way to do it with just one clip?
I should ask- is there a quicker way? because I know one way is to drag the clip up to V2 and just manually extend handles to the clip and export it that way. I was hoping for a quicker method. I need to export some self-containted clips that I can reinsert for sending the sequence to Color.

    Thanks. Snap is enabled.
I added 30 clips at once from the project bin onto the timeline. So I was really amazed that there were small gaps between some clips. When I tried to repair this (hold CTrl and move the clips to the left) the puzzle began. It happened that moving the clip only three frames to the left, I lost 15 seconds of the total. I discovered this was either a total loss of a clip (not he one I moved, but a clip say three clips to the right) or it was considerably shorter in time.
First I thougt it had to do with my good old dualcore (1.8Ghz), but on the new one (Quad 2.4Ghz) it is still the same.
This is the first time it happens (after 3 completed small projects).
From now on I will only drag one clip at the time to minimize the chance on this behaviour.
But you will understand, I'm not happy...
    Rob
