Exporting Email to SAP Employee

I'm using the Microsoft Web Service MA to synchronize with SAP. I've modified the example workflows for import and can successfully import data from Employee and User objects, but when I try to export an Email to an Employee (again by modifying the example)
I'm hitting the following:

I found out in internet that the smartform 'HR_ESS_PAYSLIP_TO_PDF' will convert to PDF and then i can send email to PERNRS.

       I need to send external emails from SAP by meeting following requirements.
1) With subject line more than 100 characters.
2) No attachments, only body which has specific format (blueprint/layout) and would be amended often, hence code shouldn't be touched during amendments.
3) Should be able to know the success/failure of mail sending at program level.

Cannot Send Email from SAP Business One

I have configured SAP Email Services from the Mailer Service and Customer can send emails all the while,
Now I have an Issue for One User,
Iam using the Same Machine, Same Database with Manager Login, I can send Email from SAP with Attachments
But When I use another Super user the system is not delivering the Email and it Goes to the Sent box (but not delivered)
Have anyone encountered the Issue before

If the email can be found in Sent box, it must be delivered already.
The problem could be on the email recipient side. It may go to the junk mail.

Is it possible to send mail from SAP to External user??????if possible does BASIS people had to do something???
I want to send the email from sap to external user([email protected]).My mail will consist of some changes made in production order(CO03). for which i had created the BADI. That part is over now i want to send the mail.
I got many sample programs in sdn but when i enter the email address it execute but mail is not sent.....I want to know by just executing Zprogram mail will be sent or there is some role for BASIS also..............

Dear all,
I would like to send email from SAP to external SMTP server using authenticated method.
Can I set up this scenario with SAPConnect?
Or are there any other methods to set up this scenario?

Hi,
You dont need anu authentication to be set :
Just follow below steps :
Simple steps to do the SMTP configuration :
1. Use transaction SCOT
3. Double Click on SMTP
4. You will get a window and fill in description
5. Tick the "Node in use" box
6. Enter the hostname of the email exchange server
7. Mail port will be 25
8. Click on the button next to Internet called "Set"
9. You will get another window, in the "address area" box, enter *
10. Click the green check button to exit the second window
11. Click the green check button to exit the main window
12. From top menu: Settings -> Default Domain
13. in the small box that appears enter the domain name which is the last part after the @ sign. The domain name would be company.com
14. You need to define a job to process the email, from top menu: View -> Jobs
15. From top menu: Job -> Create
16. Enter a name
17. Click on "INT" in the list then "Schedule job" button
18. Enter start date and time, then click on "Schedule Periodically" button
19. Enter something like every 10 minutes.
20. the configuration is now complete. To test it, you need to have an email defined in your user id properties. Use SU01 for that.
21. Use transaction SO00
22. Put Title, and text in the body, then enter your email address below, the recepient type would be "internet address"
23. After a maximum of 10 minutes you should get the email address.

OIM - SAP Employee Recon and SAP User Management Connectors vs. OC4J

In reading through the SAP connector documentation I've found that we cannot use OC4J to run OIM if the 9.0.3 SAP User Management Connector or SAP Employee Recon Connector is used. This is all related to a conflict in JDK versions supported between the SAP JCo (Java Connector) library and OC4J. A thought we've had is to use a Remote Manager for these connectors. Can anyone validate this approach? Is it possible to use a different JDK version with your remote manager? Is there another workaround that anyone is aware of?

The remote manager should work with different JDKs. We are going to be doing the same thing for one of our adapters.
As for SAP, I cannot think of another workaround -- we actually abandoned the SAP JCo approach and are doing web services with XI.

Export file from SAP can not open into seperate rows in excel

Dear all,
When I export data from SAP to .XLS file (With Unicode) and open with MS Excel.
The data in file show with single line and it is not seperate as rows in excel.
How can I solve this issue? It is occure this error in some laptop.

Do you mean you are not able to see multiple columns? If that is the case use text to column from excel's data menu and give a try.

I am facing problem with languages other than English. For ex a customer name is in korean lang and when I display the name in ALV it is fine also when I download from ALV it is fine only problem when I send that report through email.
Excel is having all junk char instead of Korean text.
I am using function modules SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING,SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY and SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 to send email.
I am using above FM because the data is more than 255 char.
Please help me to send other lang texts in XLS attachment through email.

Classes and methods to send email to SAP inbox

Hi,
I want an appropriate class and method to send emails to SAP Inbox.
My objective is that i convert spool to PDF and send it to SAP inbox as an attachment.
I've used 'CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF' and 'SX_TABLE_LINE_WIDTH_CHANGE' to generate PDF attachment.
I tried Function modules 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'/'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' to send email.
It was working fine till now (for last 4 months). Now the Basis team has run some patches due to which the PDFs are getting damaged.
Now the FMs 'SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1'/'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' seems to be useless.
So i tried some methods in classes cl_document_bcs and cl_bcs. These are working fine for Internet mails but not SAP mails.
Please suggest me some Classes and methods to send the PDF atachments to SAP inbox.

to have all SAP inbox messages into lotus notes inbox you have to sync the same with the use of connectors rather than resending them

Import/Export Email

Is there any way to import/export email from a user's account?

What do you want to import/export from?
I think you can do a dump of someone's mailbox using the imsbackup utility, but am not sure what format this gives you. Probably you can only import this into another iMS server.
Apart from that, you could look at what tools your mail clients have for saving and importing messages. I think Outlook express has an archive utility that you could use. To import from Outlook to the server, you could use the iPlanet sync tool. This will synchronise in both directions between the iMS mail server and various clients. These include Outlook, Windows CE handhelds, palms, etc. Basically, if you set this up to synchronise with Outlook, then you can import/export using anything that will interface with Outlook.
Of course you don't have to use Microshaft products. You could use any mail client to do this. Not sure about synching with other clients cos we've not done it.
I'm not sure how you can get hold of this synching tool. There were various beta versions floating around about a year or so ago and I would have expected that they would have released a supported version by now. Then again.....
