Exporting Object-IDs

Hello gurus,
we have scanned user manuals for some of our materials and archived them in an Open Text (former IXOS) archive. The documents are attached to the material masters.
Now, we would like to export the following information:
material no.
material description
document ID of the manual in the archive
We need this information so that an external (Non-SAP) system can display the manual for a given material number.
Any ideas on how I can export the document IDs?

Ok, we found it ourselves:
Tables TOA01, TOA02 and TOA03 contain the material numbers and document-IDs, so it is easy to export the information.

Brad,
The reason for using the command [ExportPlan ids] is when you need to
create a new workspace which will be exactly the same as the one you are
exporting from. We do this when we are setting up applications for
failover scenario. The runtime object ids have to be the same for an
application to failover from one environment to another. You would have
make distribution from two different repository because they are two
different environment(or you can copy the appdist directory from one
environment to another if the nodes have been defined the same). To do
this you would need the workspaces in both environment to be exactly the
same. Another scenario where you would use the command is to keep a
backup of you production repository in pex format. Hope this answers
you question.

Export objects

Hi experts,
I want to know plse if there is some tools for importing end exporting objects (programs, interfaces, forms, screens, dynpro, etc.) from system to system (not client) like program 'RSTXSCRP'.

Hi,
you can achieve this by using the tranport request. while developing store all your objetcs in one request. once the development is over u release the request it will export to some other system what you want.

Idoc with recurring Object ids(CP) in E1PLOGI.

Hi,
When Idocs for object type 'CP' is getting created the E1PLOGI are getting created with recurring object ids.
In a single IDoc, if multiple E1PLOGI are there, the the 1st E1plogi contains one object id (CP), 2nd one contains 1st and 2nd both , 3rd E1PLOGI contains 1st,2nd and 3rd, all the object ids(CP).
Please explain what's the cause of this kind of recurring insertion of objects in the succeding E1plogis.

In my case Inbound - IDOC was generated & process in one thread. there was bug in code which was creating another thread to proces same IDOC.
One thread was processing IDOC with correct status of 53, another was trying to process IDOC it was putting status of 51 on same idoc
Both statuses were on same IDOC.
The possibility of creating new idoc hapens when system try to create IDOC.
In your case, It's just processing of IDOC which happens two times. so new IDOC will not be created.

Insufficient privilege: Can't export objects in schema..user has no privilege on the underlying objects

I'm using SYSTEM user but
HDBSTUDIO continues on triggering this error when I try to export the catalog:
SAP DBTech JDBC: [258]: insufficient privilege: Can't export objects in schema DARTEL_TRANSPORTES. Can't export procedure DARTEL_TRANSPORTES.PAL_TRIPLE_SMOOTH_WRAPPER. user has no privilege on the underlying objects
When trying to grant the SYSTEM user to that particular object I get a new error : Could not modify user 'SYSTEM'. Several issues occurred
Have anyone have struggled with this error before, any help will be highly appreciated

Something happenned after my customer change the suse's server IP, I had to perform a re-installation of SAP Business One only
We were supposed to install using the hostname but no one of the installers let me use the hostname
so it Kind of forced me to use the IP.
After asking Support about that one of the specialists told me that he prefers to use IP instead of the hostname. So I used IP.
Maybe this changed something I cannot detect yet. but tomorrow we'll see.

When we are exporting a schema objects having type as TYPE are not exported.
How to export objects having type as TYPE in a schema.

if u have using oracle 10. then try to export using expdp
it will export
if u have oracle 9 then try to export with tablespace export

EXP hung on Exporting Object Type Definitions

Oracle 9i, Win2k3 Adv Server, Dual 2.4 CPU, 2.0 GB RAM
I'm running an exp command and it has been 'Exporting Object Type Definitions' for over 14 hrs.
The user has the same roles/privileges on another server and can export an identical db with no problem.
Any ideas?

Yeah, the user does have exp_full_database.
User has connect, dba, both catalog roles, imp_full_database, and gather_system_statistics.

The export hangs when I try to do a full database export. When I try to just export a specific user, I get the following errors:
ORA-31600: invalid input value EMIT_SCHEMA for parameter NAME in function SET_TRANSFORM_PARAM

I have run catalog.sql and catexp.sql and it isn't helping.
And no patches/updates have been done. I have also added select any sequence and it didn't help.

Could not view exported objects consistently...

Hi,
While export command operation has done.
Let we want to know that "what are the objects exported"
for this, we have to use v$active_session_history, all_objects in oracle 10g.
using this above tables / views, we didn't get all object informations in the table / view.
For an example.
scott user has table as like as below.
emp 16 rows
dept 9 rows
test 0 rows
ex_test 82 rows
ntest 24 rows
otest 0 rows
exp scott/tiger direct=Y
For your information.
[using conventional path also we couldn't get all objects]
exp scott/tigger
export operation has done.
Then we want to know the above object informations using the data dictionary view / but we are getting
some times 0 - rows table..
some times 0 - row table with some other tables.
some times only other tables [no other 0-rows tables]
So now we could understand that we are not getting those object information consistently. - Correct..
How we can collect it?

As per that ref, patch updation in our database, it nevers give our expected one.

We are doing
export scott/tiger@orcl direct=y
in Oracle 10g...
scott user has about 5 tables as like as follows..
emp 10rows
dept 8 rows
test 0 rows
rajtest 23rows
mtest 0 rows
after completing export operation,
we would like to get those exported object information from the data dictionary view which holds all sesssion information in the v$active_session_history.
Here the issue is, we will be getting as follows...
1.
Any one of the object (table) in the list which has some no. of rows.
2.
Any one or two objects (tables) with 0 rows information
3.
sometimes there is no information regs. this objects for scott.
How we can trace the exported object information from data dictionary tables / views.

Query Projections and Object IDs

Hi,
We're trying to implement a search interface in our application that
allows users to query for (JDO) objects via some search criteria, browse
through a returned list of possible matches and select an object for
loading.
We are considering the use of query projection such that the search
results generation doesn't involve the instantiation of all JDO objects in
the results list. The projected result set should also contain the object
ID so that it can be loaded subsequently.
From the documentation and newgroups discussion, it seems that object IDs
cannot be returned as part of query projections. Is that true? If so, what
is the suggested approach to the above scenario?

We suggest using application identity whenever you need to be able to
manipulate oids easily.Thanks Abe. However, we don't yet have a pressing desire to manipulate the

First thing you want to do - decide whether you will use the exp/imp or the expdp/impdp (data pump) routines.
To make THAT decision for 10g/11g look at CHapter 11 of the Concepts manual. (no decision in 9i - no data pump)
Once that decision is made, use the appropriate parameters as found in the Utilities manual - for every version from Oracle version 5 on. The parameters are different between exp and expdp

Import Wizard fails to export - object could not be written in the ids-file

Hello,
the complete export of the BO environment into a biar-file with the import wizard fails. In the wizard's dialog every option is choosen as "all". When the export is started it stops already in the folder objects. The log file says the object allocation could not be written in the ids-file. So I presume a problem with references.
In order to figure out which object is responsible for the error I varied the export and finally identified the "repository objects" as the the responsible type of objects. When I now run the export and only use the needed repository objects it works fine.
But I don't know, if export is complete (I presume it).
Has anyone a idea what the reason can be for this problem? Can it be fixed in the database? This kind of export did work fine the week before.

Could you quote the entire error message, word-for-word, verbatim? What Import settings are you using ... Copy, Move, Add?
Most likely you have a permissions issue, but it will be much more clear to me if I can see the entire message.

InDesign cs6 crashes when exporting objects with drop shadows to interactive PDF

I am using the trial version of InDesign CS6 on a mac OSX 10.7.4 I need to export my document as an interactive PDF. I have found that the export works fine so long as none of the objects within my document have a drop shadow. However, if I add a drop shadow to any object (text, images, or video) InDesign will crash when I try to export. I am adding the drop shadow by selecting the object and then choosing Object > Effects > Drop Shadow. Is there another method I should be using to add the shadow if I want to export to an Interactive PDF?

Hi Peter, thanks for the response. Yes, I have tried creating a new blank project and adding one text object with a drop shadow and then exporting to Interactive PDF, and I experienced the same result. I tried replacing my preferences as you suggested and found that it did not have any affect.
I continued developing my InDesign document without using any drop shadows and began to experience the same type of crashing under two more circumstances. 1. When relinking assets in my Links panel. 2. When exporting to interactive PDF with interactive objects that are being clipped (I get a warning telling me I have clipped objects before I export; when I click export I experience the same crash.) I have tried exporting the same file to a print (non-interactive) PDF and experienced no crashing.
I thought I should mention that I am using a retina display mac book pro with 16GB RAM. Could my graphics cards or the configureation of my machine be causing my issue?

How do you define - "the same version".
You probably will have to be creative with the use of markers and then use them to export your objects.
