Express Update Document in Billing

Dear All,
While saving billing document, system is giving a message, Epress Update Document.
Can anybody tell me what is the table do i need to update ?

The reason may be more than one for which you get the update termaination. Eg:
- The printer you have selected is not active
- Print program is not working properly
- Some user exit not working as designed etc...
There are a few ways you can find it out....
a. Go to ST22 and check for the dump that has occured in your ID for that particular day. You will get the list and double click on the relevant one. The to the left hand side you can find "What Happened". Click on it and you will get the description and other details of where it failed.
b. The other method is, normally a workflow triggers into your SAP Mail box. So, you can go to Tcode: SBWP, Go to Inbox and check for unread documents. You will find the update termiantion there. You can double click on it to get the details.
You can also check with your technical team on the same.

    I want to "deactivate" update document flow between delivery and bill for an item category (say e.g. ZTAN). Where can I do that?
    In other words in table VBFA when I put "Follow on" document as my invoice #, I do not want to see my delivery # as preceeding document.
    I have checked VTFL, at item category level, there is NO field as "Update document flow"
    also I have checked VTFA, at item category level, there is NO field as "Update document flow"

    I donot understand your post. What shall I accomplish with your suggestion? For my better understanding, please elaborate.
    In VTFL, at item category level, Copy requirement is to check if all the criteria are met, if yes, then copying information is done from Delivery to Invoice. I think, this has nothing to do with populating information in document flow.
    Could you please advice, where exactly is the configuration for "Update doc flow" in VTFL and VTFA?

  • Simulating Acccounting Document before billing is created ( VF01 )

    Hi All,
      We are on ECC6.00 . As it is a standard feature that SD billing is created and then the billing details are submitted to create accounting document .  If the system fails to create the the FI document, the billing docuemt still exists in the system.
    Is there any way to roll back so that billing document is not saved. I was searching for a BAPI which can simulate the billing  and I found one BAPI_BILLINGDOC_SIMULATE, but the documentation says that it is obsolete  as of reales 4.6A .
    I need suggestion on how to stop the billing document not saved if creation of accounting document fails.

    that means you are looking in such a way that,  if an accounting document is not raised by the billing document then that billing document also should not get saved - right.

    You can use this method to cancel a billing document.
    As an input parameter, you are expected to enter a billing document number in the field BILLINGDOC_NUMBER. This corresponds to the document to be canceled.
    This method can be used not only in the simulation run (TESTRUN = 'X') but also in an update run including update (TESTRUN = ' '). Both execution variants send back any errors that have occurred to the output table RETURN. If the document to be canceled has been correctly processed, information on successful processing is sent back in the SUCCESS table. This ouptut table delivers in particular the document number of the cancellation billing document in the update run.
    Notes
    Required entries :
    BILLINGDOC Number of the billing document to be canceled
    COMMIT Control :
    In the update (TESTRUN = ' ') the update is carried out by COMMIT
    WORK using the methods available.

  • Error in accounting document for Billing - Costing Key does not exist

    Hi,
    We had activated COPA for updating Record Type - A (Sale Order) and Record Type - F (Billing Document).  Subsequently we have removed all the settings done for Record Type A (Sale Order) including Costing key.
    Now after this change we get the error of "Costing Key XXXX does not exist" during generation of accounting document for Billing.
    Can any body suggest how to over come this error without creating costing key of Record Type A (Sale Order).

    Please use T. code KE4J and remove Costing Key from record type F( Billing) then system wonu2019t look for Costing key during releasing billing document to accounting & use T. code KE40 to correct Costing key settings  if required.

  • Update Document Terminated

    Hi
    I need some help.
    After saving the sales order, I am getting the error -
    "Express Document - Update Document Terminated".
    SM13 shows the status as "Fehler in V2 part".
    Any suggestions on how to fix this ?

    Kindly view the update and attempt to establish the reason for the termination.
    The transaction SM13 is useful for this purpose.
    Solution would depend upon this reason.
    It is alsopossble to complete the missing update from here.

  • Issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document

    Hi All,
    I am having some issue with copy control of Delivery document to Billing document.
    I am having two line items in Delivery documetn, one is for item to be delivered to customer and other which is created due to batch determination.
    Now , when I create billing document (VF01) with reference to this delivery document , I want only one line item (for the one which needs to be delivered to customer).
    I have used following things in  copy contro from ZLF to ZF2:
    Copying requirements: 004 ( Deliv-related item)
    Data VBRK/VBRP: 007 "(Inv.Split (Rec/Div))
    Is it correct or shall I use something else, so I have only one line item in Billing document.

    Dear friends,
    We are testing the report S_ALR_87012357, Advanced VAT return report. Accidentally we realized if we select the option 'update document, update run' but forgot to select 'batchinput session required', the report will marke the tax items and save them in table BSET, but no posting will be generated. I understand this is a mistake of user, however, I will be interested to know if SAP provides any program which can fix these incorrectly processed items, e.g. post the taxes to the vat payable account by using a special program. Or, is this a system limitation, say, user will have to run the program correctly with the respective options selected. I can not access OSS, so I am not sure if there's any OSS related to this.
    Is there anyone who can help?

    So once document updated , the VAT line item in BSET Table is updated via 2 Fields :
    STMDT : TAX return on
    STMTI : TAX return on

    Then the control copy is Sales Document to Billing Document with billing quantity definided type  B (delivered quantity less  invoiced quantity),
    The problem is presented because the Billing quantity considered deliverys with no  accounting documents.

    I had faced similar problem in one of my project & hence used the standard setting & by avoiding use of 'G'. I used 'A' or 'B' instead as per requirement.
    I suppose you may be trying to use 'G' for Third Party Scenario.

  • Problem with copy control from sales document to billing document

    Hi,
    I have a copy control from a sales document to a billing document,
    which is copying everything from the sales document, except the
    conditoin values. Any ideas on why will a copy routine won't copy the
    condition values from a source document? I don't even have a document
    pricing procedure assigned to my billing document. Any setting, that
    we can do to for the conditions to get copied from the sales document
    to the billing document...just as they are in the sales document?

    What setting do you have for your source sales document type to target billing document type? Select the row that shows the document type you are interested in and double click on item(on the left pane). Select the item category and do display. What value do you see under the 'Pricing Type' and 'Price Source'?
    May be that is where some config setting is missing.

  • IDOC-Segment Created a idoc document against Billing document

    Thanks in  advance.
    Already created a idoc document against Billing document and one of the IDOC segment is not in the IDOC document output segments(WE05) actually it missed the segment.
    so i want to add the segment which it was missed during generation of IDOC document against billing document.
    Example:
    a) IDOC document misses one segment let suppose "Seg1".
    b) In "Seg1" it have only one field let suppose "Field1".
    c) But "Field1" does not have any value while generation of IDOC document so it doesn't create the respective segment in IDOC document.
    d) so here, i want to edit the IDOC document to add the "Seg1" in the IDOC document and reprocessing the IDOC document.
    Please help on this issue.

    Hello,
              If your requirement is to have the Segment even with only 1 Field, you'll have to create an Idoc Extension in WE30.
             In order to populate the Custom Segment, Use the Customer Function '002' in the IDOC_OUTPUT_INVOIC which is EXIT_SAPLVEDF_002 where you can actually insert the Segment as a Child Segment of an Appropriate Segment.
            You can go for Custom segment with the IDoc Extension so that you dont have to manually insert the Segment again and again while reprocessing it.

    Hi,
    There is no function that you can force the updating of the rows in your addon.
    what you can do is to simulate how SAP B1 do the updating of the row.
    You can Pop a messagebox to ask if they want to update the rows if they change the business partners.
    If they select Yes then
    Get the PriceList that the Business Partner is using then Parse the Rows And find the Price for that item in the Price List and update the Price Column.
    else
    Do nothing..

    I want that the user dosen´t have the option to answer NO, that´s I need that the answer always be YES. (If a sales user DUPLICATE an old quotation, wich has a lower price than the actual price of an article, and he answer NO, the actual price of the article doesn´t refresh and the company loose money.)

    Issue : User is getting cancelled Sales documents in billing due list.
    Ideally it should not come.
    Now he wants to remove those documents from list.
    Please note that documents are for order related billing.

    OSS message 128947 is about items showing up in the due lists when they are not relevant. Try running the program RVV05IVB and see if that fixes it.

    Try to update Document Numbering when no user are logged on data or Ask your users to not to post any transaction during the period when you are updating Document Numbering.
    This problem arise because when user are punching transactions on database as Internal Document No Changes every time a transaction is punched on Database.
    This May be the reason.
