Expression operator with different tables....

Hello All,
I am facing this problem that I have this if condition that has an expression inside it where the expression id composed out of 4 columns in 4 different tables where these tables can not be joined because there is no logical join between them. The if statement goes as follows:
if column1.table1 is equal to 0
then equate column1.table2 to column1.table3 and put in column1.table4(which is a new column to be created)
else if column1.table1 is equal to 1
then subtract column1.table2 and column1.table3 and put in column1.table4(another new column)
end if
end if
Note that the operator being used in order to have the conditional statement is the splitter operator. So my problem can be concluded in how can I have an expression that is composed out multiple column from different tables. Noting that if this is done a message saying you either need to join the tables or use a set operation and I can't do either since the data that would be outputted would be irrelevant.....

Hi Hossam,
the attributes of the input group of an expression operator must come from one outgroup (of a table for example).
If you want to use columns from different tables in one expression operator, you must join them first. There is no way around it.
Try to build a complete SQL query of what you want to do. Then rebuild this query in owb.
As a rule of thumb: what cannot be done in SQL cannot be done in owb (since owb generates sql).

Hi,
it depends on the release you are asking this question for. In JDeveloper 10.1.3 you can expose a method (e.g. on a session facade) that returns a Collection. The input parameters can be dragged and dropped as input fields to the page.
The same can be done in JDeveloper 10.1.2, but here you have to prgrammatically apply the input arguments.

MINUS operation with remote table

Hi all,
Please help me with this problem.
I have two tables with 20 columns each, one table resides on one database and the other table is accesed through a db link. Both tables contains +800,000 records.
I need to know the record differences between these two tables - this is a periodical process, not for once- , I am using a MINUS operation with full scan, the problem is that my query is taking long time to finish : +20 min. Also i tried witn COLUMN IN() instead MINUS but my query performance is worst.
Do you know another way to get the record differences with a better performance?

Using the same TableModel with different tables

hi,
is it possible to have a TableModel class that I could use to display different columns in different tables?
For example, suppose I have a TableModel containing user info (user_id, user_name, user_address) and I wanted to display (user_name, user_address) in one table, but just (user_id) (or even (user_id, user_name) in another).
If this is possible, what are some good design ideas?

Ip sla operations with different keys for the same destination

Hi all,
the customer wants to use different ip sla operations for the same destination (ip sla responder). From the first source router he uses key key1 and from the second source router he uses key key2. The ip sla responder responds only for the first router which uses the key key1.:-( Is it a normal behaviour? Can I use different keys for different ip sla operations for the same ip sla responder?

If you're using one tunnel source you need to use one ipsec profile, unless you're running (a) p2p tunnel which you're not in this case.
While you MAY have some luck with sharing/unsharing among different interface I'm afarid it will not be ever mentioned as supported.
The situation will change with upcomfing 3.10 and 3.11 IOS XE releases (and corresponding IOS releases).

Service order operations with different plants

Hi,
We would like to use different plants in our operations for service. This works fine but at certain operations we have set components (with backflush). While processing the service order these components receive the service order planning plant where it should be the plant mentioned in the operation.
The reason why we would like to use different plants is because the material that has to be repaired will pass through those different plants. (or should we just create multiple service orders ?)
Example :
Task list created in plant 001 :
Operation A plant 001 with component Y
Operation B plant 002 with component Z
The service order is created in planning plant 001 and when you go to the component tab, the plants of component y and z are set to plant 001 where it should be component Y --> plant 001 and component Z --> plant 002.
Is setting the plant for components equal to the planning plant, standard behaviour ? (can't find anything to change this)
Do i have to achieve this with a user exit ?

Problem about mapping 1 column with different tables..

I have 3 Tables (I will give examples not exact tables but same structure and logic)
Cars :
   ID ( Car ID)
   Name
Planes :
   ID ( Plane ID)
   Name
Processes :
   ID ( Process ID )
   Type
   VehicleID {code}*Sample Processes Table Data*
{code:java}ID     Type      VehicleID
1          1               1
2          1               2
3          2               1
3          2               2{code}
When type is *1*, This is *Car* and means that *VehicleID* maps to *Cars Table*,
When type is *2*, This is *Plane* and means that *VehicleID* maps to *Planes Table*.
And So On 3, 4, 5, 6 .. for Additional tables.
How can i map something like that? I can not merge these tables, they all must be separated..
I used to handle this by writing native SQL with some functions, however with JPA i could not figure it out..

I do not know an easy way to do this in pure JPA. EclipseLink though is able to do this using a variable one to one mapping:

Date operations with internal table

Dear friends
           would you like to tell me. how i determine the most recent date and time from internal table i am not supposed to sort the table by date and time... I must check date and time with other records date and time to determine which record is most recently changed...
here the scenario is.
id       idnumber chdate      chtime
1        123456    20060606    135312
2        123456    20060606    135900
3        123456    20060606    132300
4        123457    20060606    140000
5        123457    20060606    142500
in the above scenario i must keep in my mind that the most recently changed record is identical to its idnumber i can say that:
the record should be fetched this way
id       idnumber chdate      chtime
3        123456    20060606    132300
5        123457    20060606    142500
because here the id 3 is the most recently changed in the idnumber 123456
where id 5 is the most recently changed in the idnumber 123457
please help me to determin how i am supposed to carry out this task any suggestion, code will be great help of mine.

Hi Naim,
For example if ur select statement is like this..
   select id idnumber chdate chtime from xtable into table itab where ...<condn>..
    sort itab by idnumber chdate chtime descending.
     delete adjacent duplicates from itab comparing idnumber .
     Code like above statement..
   You can get result...
id idnumber chdate chtime
3 123456 20060606 132300
5 123457 20060606 142500

So I decided to do so.
In order to be well prepared I deleted all files of FCE using standing orders.
Well,to night feeling restless and I decided to install FCE 1.
I was suprised to see the appllication come to life.
I set up the camera,chose capture.
It did capture.
To check, I moved the clip to the timeline and there it is.

Sorry to say they did not work.
There was no option to "Showe package contents".
Therefore I could not go to "info.plist".
I looked carefully at the FCE discs and found I have.
FCE full edition.
FCE 2 upgrade
FCE HD upgrade
So, perhaps the hack only works on full editions/
Now, on todays posts there is a suggestion to press escape when "agp card missing" appears.
I used FCE HD disc and it installed.
Chose escape at the approiate point and it was full steam ahead.
Option to change file type appeared .
Selected.
FCE HD layout appeared as we all know and love.
However could not install FCE HD upgrade.
Notice tells me it is not required.

I want to make a copy of a database. Subsequently I want to make changes to the copy of the original database. (possible changes could be extra columns).
Now I want to synchronize the data of both databases...
Is it possible to use Oracle's Parallel Server feature for this task?

Import table with a different table name!

Dear All,
I have backup all users in my database using exp command.
Now i want to import 2 tables from this backup, as tables already exists i want to import table with different table name.
Is it possible with exp command? If not what else is the solution.

Well, its not possible.You can import those two tables in some test database, rename them and then take the export and import in the database you want.
Or,
You can import those 2 tables in some other schema in your database, rename them again take the export and them import it.

Printing all expressions in an expression operator

If I have an expression operator with 15 output expressions, is there some way that I can print all of those out? Otherwise, I have to click on each one, go in to the editor, copy / paste, etc.

Generate the intermediate result (right click on the outgrp). Then get the expressions from the SQL that is generated.

Problem with the pivot operator and Expression operator

In my design, I have a joiner which joins three different tables. After that I connected a few columns to an expression operator which is used to make some calculations using the three columns. The out put from the joiner is connected to the pivot operator as well as the output of the expression operator is connected to the same.
This is done becuase I wanted to create a few new columns using the existing columns in order to perform some calculations.
But now the mapping is giving an error at time of deployment(Null pointer exception).
I tried to place the expression operator at various points in the mapping, but to no avail.
Can some one please help me out regarding this issue.

How to create a view on tables with different keys?

I have to create a View on:
Z3PVR: Transparent Table
BSEG: Cluster Table
CKIS: Transparent Table
BKPF: Transparent Table
RV61A: Structure
T001: Transparent Table
All the tables have different "Key Fields" and the structure has no "Key Fields". When i create the view, what do I mention in the "JOIN FIELDS" tab. and how do i create the view with the structure?
