This is the brand new BI 7.3 system. Implementing the PSCD and TRM.
I have used the standard business content objects in FI-CA (dunning history header, item,activities) and standard Datasource (0FC_DUN_HEADER ,0FC_DUN_ITEMS, 0FC_DUN_ACTIVITIES). I have extracted data till the DSO level . when I try to pull the data to info provider level(cube) using DTP . I am getting fallowing error.
my observation: when ever I use the DSO as source to any target like another DSO or cube. its throwing same kind of error for any flow including simple Flat file .
please suggest any one whether do I need to maintain basic settings since its a brand new BI 7.3.
please help me out on this issue . I am not able to move forward .its very urgent

I am using Generic Datasource first time i run init next time i want to run the delta, delta is sucessful but 0 records. i am taken date field and new status fileds(DSO) for DSO. R/3 side table values chaging but not replicate to BI. Can any suggest how to run the delta for Generic Datasource.

Have you set delta pointers in your Generic datasource? if yes then what it is ? try to see if its logically related with your changes in records or you need to use any other type of delta pointer.

How to retrieve the data from MDM hierarchy table using MDM Java API

Performance issue while extracting data from non-APPS schema tables.

Hi,
I have developed an ODBC application to extract data from Oracle E-Business Suite 12 tables.
e.g. I am trying to extract data from HZ_IMP_PARTIES_INT table of Receivables application(Table is in "AR" database schema) using this ODBC application.
The performance of extraction (i.e. number of rows extracted per second) is very low if the table belongs to non-APPS schema. (e.g. HZ_IMP_PARTIES_INT belongs to "AR" database schema)
Now if I create same table (HZ_IMP_PARTIES_INT) with same data in "APPS" schema, the performance of extraction improves a lot. (i.e. the number of rows extracted per second increases a lot) with the same ODBC application.
The "APPS" user is used to connect to the database in both scenarios.
Also note that my ODBC application creates multiple threads and each thread creates its own connection to the database. Each thread extract different data using SQL filter condition.
So, my question is:
Is APPS schema optimized for any data extraction?
I will really appreciate any pointer on this.

Is APPS schema optimized for any data extraction? I would say NO as data extraction performance should be the same for all schemas. Do you run "Gather Schema Statistics" concurrent program for ALL schemas on regular basis?

Problem extracting data from R/3 to BW using infopackage?

Hi all,
I am trying to extract data from R/3 to BI7.0 through infopackage and its giving below error.
Request still running
Diagnosis
No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.
System Response
The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system
or
the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded
or
the background job has not yet finished in the source system.
Current status
No Idocs arrived from the source system
In the details tab:
Extraction (messages): Missing messages in yellow status
Missing message: Request received
Missing message: Number of sent records
Missing message: Selection completed
Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings in yellow status
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : Selected number does not agree with transferred n
Processing (data packet): Everything OK in green status
Data Package 1 ( 370 Records ) : Everything OK
Inbound Processing ( 370 Records ) : No errors
Data package 1 received; Processing is starting
Update PSA ( 370 Records posted ) : No errors
Data package 1 is being saved...

Hi ,
The infopackage run for avery long time in yellow state with out changing to green, This might happen due to connection error(get in touch with your basis team) or due to over load on the system.
eventhough the status of request is finished in source system, the job will be executing in the BI.
1)Wait for sometime for the request to turn out green automatically or
2)make the request to red and delte, repeat the infopackage step.
3)IF you know about the no of records that need to be transferred and if the total records are transferred already, manually change the request to green.

Import from database an internal table with generic Type : Web Dynpro ABAP

i have a requirement in which i'm asked to transfer data flow between two frameworks, from WD Component to another. The problem is that i have to transfer internal tables with generic types. i used the import/ export from database approache but in that way i get an error message saying "Object references and data references not yet supported".
Here is my code to extract a generic internal table from memory.

I am struggling hard to make the hierarchial ALV, But could not do it.
Could you help me.
Actually I want the column to be hierarchial. For this i am using
if_salv_wd_column_hierarchy~set_hierarchy_column.
Also i tried to display the whole table as Hierarchial
lr_table_settings->set_display_type( if_salv_wd_c_table_settings=>display_type_hierarchy ).
For both the possibilities the result is not as desired.

Hi Aleem,
The link u have provided gives the solution for the Table.
I want the implementation for ALV.
Also my requirement is that the first column of the ALV should be hierarchial.
On expanding the table cell of first column one more table should open of same type.
This way user can navigate to three diffierent database tables.
The tree is populated at runtime with the data. So the depth of branches is unknown at design time.
I hope the requirements are clear to u now.

Extracting data from an XML document that uses namespaces

Firstly, please let me wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2013!
I have a piece of XML containing namespaces (retrieved from a web service) and I am having difficulty extracting values
(If you're interested this is the webservice: http://api.worldbank.org/countries/FRA/indicators/NY.GDP.MKTP.CD?date=2009)
Here is some test code with two cases -
1) where I leave in the namespace and
2) where I strip out all references to the namespace
Case 1 doesn't work, whereas Case 2 works well.
I would prefer a more elegant solution than simply stripping out the namespace.
I have probably just misunderstood something about how to work with namespaces in PL/SQL.
Do any of you have suggestions about how best to approach this?

How to print JPG image retrieved from BLOB in a table using Forms10g

I create a database schema and a Form to maintain JPG to the table PHOTOS.
I would like to add a button to PRINT just the PHOTO_IMAGE to its maximum size from a Form. How can I do that? Is thaere any built-in Forms functions to do that? If the client is using Windows XP, can I use CLIENT_HOST() to call a program to print the JPG file directly?
Any suggestion is welcome.

I use a third part product to do this (irfanview.exe).

There is IMP utility which provides me data as graphical way. But i need extract data in such a way so that i could able to use in my application.

Actually I was using SQL Developer. Sorry for the wrong define question. Now the real problem is:
I want to read or extract data in a txt file from Oracle Dump (.dmp) file without using Oracle sqlPlus or Oracle Database.
No need to say that i am able to extract dump data using sqlPlus. But for that, there is a little burden to install oracle database
or sql Developer.
I also listen about Oracle Loader a little bit. Is it a tool for providing extraction of data from Oracle dump file.

Extracting XML from webservice result with Namespaces using E4X

I need to extract some data from proprietary Web Service (to be fed to HierarchicalData for dataProvider of ADG).
So I made service.returnType=’e4x’;
In that case it returns data as XML.
I need to get useful data from it after Snapshot:

Using E4X, like:

Any idea how to extract the load from ADS Response (envelope)?
What can I do regarding XML Namespaces in E4X ?
If I set service.returnType="xml" it returns data as XMLNode's.
But I prefer to use E4X if possible.
