Extract not working as stated in 9iR2

Hi,
My version is 9.2.0.5. But this one works in 10gR1.
The extract function is defined in 9iR2 the same as in 10g. Please help.

Guess what. Another user made it work when she explicitly uses
xmltype.extract instead of just extract.

I thought extract was a synonym for xmltype.extract. Why is it working then?

you can update from iMovie versions 7, 8 and 9, but iMovie HD is iMovie 6.
Maybe you can update in two steps, first from iMovie 6 to iMovie 7, 8 or 9 then to iMovie 10.

I’ve just downloaded the latest version o DW CC 2014, and somehow it’s not working like it should. As you can see from the screen shot there’s this error message, some file seems to be missing.
I went to the folder and found this other file (README.MD) with this instructions (attached) not sure this helps solving anything.

.ZP file extraction not working on Linux

Hello all,
The OS I am working with is Unix (SLES 10).
Can someone please provide instruction as to how to extract .ZIP files downloaded from Marketplace?
I have downloaded a file called :
51034992_8.ZIP It is called : SAP_ERP_6.0_SR3_IDES_Inst._Master
When extracting the sapinst file has the following permissions, I then do "ls -lrt sapinst*
I get
-rw-rr 1 root root 21817908 Mar 6 2008 sapinst
Soooooo - this means I can't run it because I cannot execute it.
Is one supposed to use unzip to unzip the .ZIP files or something else?
Why are the permissions wrong? Why after extraction can I not run sapinst?

Of course you should unzip it and then navigate inside to the currresponding file named sapinst in the correct folder of your os and database inside the installation master DVD which you have downloaded.

Delta extraction not working

Hi all
I have a question on delta extraction. I initialised the first extraction for the DS 2lis_11_vahdr and to test the delta process created a few sales orders after that. and when i check in RSA3 in the OLTP sys. it shows the number of records as in the initialised state the newly created records are not shown in the total numbers.
i also tried a delta extraction from my BI system and it shows teh number of records extracted as 0. But if i delete the extract structure in and fill them again the number of records now is increased.
is there any setttings that i have to do either of the systems to get the delta process going?

I tried a delta extract manually and no records were updated. The extraction monitor status is green and has the following message
No new data since the last delta update
Diagnosis
The data request was a delta update, meaning, the data basis in the
source system has not changed since the last update.
System Response
Info IDoc received with status 8.
Procedure
Check the data basis in the source system.
In R/3 i have the datasource displayed in RSA7 and in LBWQ i Have the following entries.

CSS Inherit Not Working (Need Help )

Try as I might, I can't get the border style to inherit. I
found the below code in published article and tried it.
Unfortunately, it did not work as stated or as I would have
predicted. Basically, I can't get border or any other non default
inherited style to work. When I render the below html the 3rd
paragraph starting with the words "You can...." do not have a
border, either does the <a href>. Accoding to the article and
my understanding of inheritance they should.

shorthand borders, at
least according to E. Meyer, but I can't get any border
property to inherit
either, not that I've ever wanted this to happen.....

Extraction of certain master data not working

Hi, we are on BI7 and some of the BC masterdata extractions are not working correctly. Some masterdata working fine, consequently communication between systems working, but some master data fields e.g. 0co_area, 0chrt_accts and more are not working fine. Get this on 3.x and new datasources.
The data does get pulled through but the upload just never goes green, and keeps running. If one look at the batch jobs (SM37) in the appropriate source system, it keeps on going until it is manually stopped.
I am only experiencing this problem with data pulled through from the production system - I am pulling it through to my testing and production box, but fails in both, where all other ECC systems are fine.
In the monitor there is a warning and the following is the details of the monitor:
Overall status: Missing Messages or warnings
   Requests (messages): Everything OK (green)       Data request arranged (green)
       Confirmed with: OK (green)
   Extraction (messages): Missing messages (yellow)
       Data request received (green)
       Data selection scheduled (green)
       Missing message: Number of sent records (yellow)
       Missing message: Selection completed (yellow)
   Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages or warnings (yellow)
       Request IDoc: Application document posted (green)
       Info IDoc 1 : Application document posted (green)

   Processing (data packet) : Everyting OK (green)

Thanks, for the responses. The appropriate Idocs work fine with transaction BD87. I looked in SM58 earlier during the course of the day and there was no error, just checked again (8PM) and found some entries with error texts for BW background user - 6 errors within 10 seconds. Something to do with 'ERROR REQU... PG# IN 1' - do not have authorisation at this moment to check the specific requests, but not sure if the master data extractions would have caused these.
In the job log for the problematic jobs, only 1 IDoc get created, unlike the other succesful ones that have 3 IDocs (not sure if this means anything)

If the license is expired then appky for the permanent license from Service market place and install it in the system through SLICENSE TCode. For this you need to have S-user ID to access service market place to apply for license.

We have our identity provider / service provider in two different segment of the network and there is no http/https connection between these segments as we assumed that all the communication is going through the browser and we would not need the port to be opened on the firewall. Is it something which is absolutely necessary? In our opinion it negates all the benefits of SAML

Hi Elena,
The issue was discovered and fixed during the SAML Interoperability Tests early last year (2011). I'm not sure I will be able to find a dedicated note because the fix was not downported but just submitted in the latest SP in correction. If you need a justification then you can open a support ticket with SAP and this will be the official answer there. If you do so please to not forget to attach traces from the system - use the tool described in 1332726 with type "SAML 2.0 (Info)". If you send me the ticket number I can speed-up the processing of the ticket.

Extract function not working with tag attributes

Hi all,
I have an xml document stored in the db as an xmlType. I am trying to use the extract function to retrieve values. The extract will work fine on tags without attributes. Any tags with attributes or tags beyond the tags with attributes will not be accessible.

<tag3 att="hello">bye</tag3>
<tag4> hi again </tag4>
</tag1>
In the example above I can extract tag2 values but not tag3 or tag4 values.
here is my select statement

Hi all,
Found the issue. The problem was that I was not specifying the second argument to the extract function.
The tag attribute that I was not handling was xmlns="".
I used this atttribute as the second argument in the extract function and now I am off and running.

not working... i tried to make the stateful session bean Control.. and is still not working the error i get now is this one:

The posted link also appears to be bogus I am at my wits end here. Have other users experiences this issue? Is this a clever intrusion?

Triger extract is not working for USERDETAILS object.

Dear MI experts,
I am doing custom client integration. In that we have faced a problem.
Trigger extract is not working for USERDETAILS object in SWCV SAP BASIS 7.10.
1. I have assign the SWCV SAP BASIS 7.10, user define SWCV to device.
2. I have checked the SMQR all queues(extract queues) are in register mode.
But if I delete the users and reassign the same user, then it is sending deletes and insert to the outbound queue.
please help to resolve the issue.

Actually as soon as the device is registered, automatically the USERDETAILS and USER_AUTHORIZATION Objects should
go to the Outbound queue from the pending extract
I have tried what you have suggested.
1.I have taken device which is in initial state and I have assigned the 'user' and 'user define SWCV'.
2.I have register the devices with my custom client. After that also SWCV SAP BASICS 7.10 not become operational and automatic extract not happend for USERDETAILS.
my doubt is, any thing i need to send from client to make SWCV SAP BASICS 7.10 operational?
(or) is it problem with system?

PL/SQL update not working against 9iR2 DB

Hi,
I am having a weird problem with several forms when run against a 9iR2 database. I have worked out that the problem only happens when referencing an unbound item in the WHERE clause of the update clause. For example:
UPDATE table_a
SET column_a = 'A value'
WHERE column_b = :block.unbound_item;
When I generate forms from Designer with this type of PL/SQL in a when-button-pressed trigger, it works fine against an 8.1.7 DB but does not update the record against a 9iR2 DB. If I put a specific value in the WHERE clause instead of referencing the unbound item, then it works. It also works if I put the value of the unbound item in a variable and then use the variable in the WHERE clause.
If I create a simple form using Form Builder, which does not link to Headstart libraries, then it does work against a 9iR2 DB. I also tried generating a simple form out of Designer from a container not linked to Headstart libraries and that worked as well.
Has anyone come across this sort of thing before?

I have heard from another customer that had a similar problem. I have not had time yet to investigate his solution, but maybe it can help you:
For the other customer it seems to work fine if the update raises a CAPI error, but it does not work if the update raises a server error or a TAPI error (PK/UK/FK violation). The problem is that the rollback in abort_transaction is not executed.
The other customer proposes the following solution:
* in abort_transaction, don't clean up the error messages
* in the exception handler of the button code, place the abort_transaction before the unhandled_exception.
Pierre, do you also use CDM RuleFrame? Can you try if the tips of the other customer work for you?
It sounds to me like this is a workaround for a database bug, which is OK, but it's better if the database bug is fixed. I would advise you to also check the available patches for 9iR2, or maybe report a bug yourself so a patch can be made in the future.
It may also be related to the optimizer mode. See thread Transactions fail when OPTIMIZER_MODE=choose .

iMessage and FaceTime not working on Mac Pro and a message stating to contact Support came on with a verification code. It was working on 8/29 but stopped on 8/30. When I called support to even speak with anyone they wanted $19. I don't want to pay $19 for an Apple problem. I cleared my key chain, also reset my apple ID password but still not working. Works fine on my iPhone.

There is no official public documentation of that error message as far as I know, but according to reports, it can mean (at least sometimes) that the same Apple ID is being used with the iTunes Store or one of the other Apple content stores, and the payment method is invalid. Sign in to the store and review your account. You do not, of course, have to provide any billing information to set up an account to use only with iMessage, as it's a free service.
Otherwise, do what the error message tells you to do. According to reports, you won't be charged for the call if you select "Apple ID" as the product you need support for, and cite the customer code in the alert as the "validation code" to the support representative.
