Extract the table data

Hi
i am having a table data...where i want t read that data and put it in another desired format:
Here is the actual data:
sno     Description     Qty.     Units     Rate (Rs.)     Value (Rs.)
1     Aviation Lamp     1     Nos     3700     3,700
2     Lighting Arrester     1     Nos     1600     1,600
3     Aviataion Lamp Cable     31     Rmt          270     8,370
     Gross Total                    13,670
     The     above     Total include     Services     Tax Amount of     Rs     536
     Total Invoice Value     I                    13,670
     Now Claimed 100% of Invoice Value                    13,670
(Rupees Thirteen Thousand Six Hundred and Seventy only)
My Desired ouput should be in
S.No 1
Description Aviation Lamp
Qty. 1
Units Nos
Rate (Rs.) 3700
Value (Rs.) 3700
S.No 2
Description Lighting Arrester
Qty.1
Units Nos
Rate (Rs.) 1600
Value (Rs.) 1600
S.No 3
Description Aviataion Lamp Cable
Qty.31
Units Nos Rmt
Rate (Rs.) 270
Value (Rs.) 8,370
Gross Total 13,670
Tax Amount of Rs 536
Total Invoice Value 13,670
i have written code like this:
import java.io.BufferedReader;
import java.io.FileReader;
public class TabDeli {
    String LineFeed=null,line=null,Output=null; int ctr=0;
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new FileReader("D:\\tab2.txt"));
                                while ((line = in.readLine()) != null) {
                    LineFeed  += line;
                    ctr++;
String substring;
    LineFeed = LineFeed.substring(4);
int ptr = ctr-4; String LineFeed2 = LineFeed;
for (int i=1; i<ptr;i++){
       try{
        Output +=("S.No " + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2`.IndexOf("$")+"/n"));
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        Output += "Description "
                   + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")+"\n";
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        Output += ("Qty. " + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")+"\n");
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        Output += ("Units " + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")+"\n"));
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        Output +=( "Rate (Rs.) "
                   + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")+"\n"));
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        Output += ("Value (Rs.) "
                  + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")+"\n"+"\n"));
        LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
        } catch (Exception A){
        System.out.println("Error in Line Number: " + ptr+1);}
LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(4); //removing the null =)
//Adding the Last Line
LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
Output += ("Gross Total " + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")));
LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
Output += ("Tax Amount of Rs "
          + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")));
LineFeed2 = LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1);
Output +=( "Total Invoice Value "
          + LineFeed2.substring(0,LineFeed2.IndexOf("$")));
LineFeed2 = (LineFeed2.substring(IndexOf("$")+1));
//Here is the output you Desire
System.out.println(Output);
}I think a simplier approach is to add a Delimeter. Then Cut the substring before the Delimeter. You can also check if there is a missing part in the line by counting the delimeters. Here is my suggestion.
S.No Description Qty. Units Rate (Rs.) Value (Rs.)
1$Aviation Lamp$1$Nos$3700$3,700$
2$Lighting Arrester$1$Nos$1600$1,600$
3$Aviataion Lamp Cable$31$Rmt$270$8,370$
Gross Total $13,670$
The above Total include Services Tax Amount of Rs $536$
Total Invoice Value $13,670$
thats how should it look. You can change the '$' sign if you like.
Then, extract all the content of the file into a single String.
i am unable to process it...can any one give me idea where i went wrong??

Really ambitious multi-poster.

  • How to extract the historical data from R/3

    hi
    I am extracting data from R/3 through LO Extraction. client asked me to enhance the data source by adding field. i have enhanced the field and wrote exit to populate the data for that field.
    how to extract the historical data into BI for the enhanced field. already delta load is running in BI.
    regards

    Hi Satish,
    As per SAP Standard also the best way is to delete whole data from the cube and then load the data from set up tables as you have enhanced the data source.
    After data source enhancement it is supported to load normally because you don't get any historical data for that field.
    Best way is to take down time from the users, normally we do in weekends/non-business hours.
    Then fill the set-up tables; if the data is of huge volume you can adopt parallel mechanism like:
    1. Load set-up tables by yearly basis as a background job.
    2. Load set-up tables by yearly basis with posting periods from jan 1st to 31st dec of any year basis as a background job.
    This can make your self easier and faster for load of set-up tables. After filling up set-up tables. You can unlock all users as there is no worries of postings.
    Then after you can load all the data into BI first into PSA and then into Cube.

    Ravi Kanth.

    HI Naimes
    Thanks for youe reply
    your second step says to select data from 'table' here tables are dynamic in nature I mean they are an input parameters..how can I write select on a table..
    I can get the table existence from DD02L table and pass the retrieved tables to FM Get_Component_List to get the fields existing for the particular table,
    But I cannot pass the dynamic table value to select query to retrieve the data..Please update me if you have anything on retrieving data from dynamically inputted value
    Can I do this
    Select * from <dyntable>
    Any suggestions will be appreciated
    thank you

  • Clear the table data in PDF form

    Hi all,
    I am workin gon WD ABAP, where i  have a Interactive UI elelemt, and i am calling a PDF in to it.
    The PDF has a table, of which i am able to display , read  and save the data to Database.
    But after clicking on the save button , i want the table data to be cleared, which is not happening.
    I tried with binding with an empty internal table, but that gives an error "SOM Expression....."..!!
    Can any one let me know how to clear the PDF table data after clicking on some button.?
    All replies will be appreciated...

    Hi Runal,
    I am not sure about PDF as never worked on it but we can clear the table on view by simply invalidating the node by which you have binded your table. try to invalidate if it helps...
    this is the code to invalidate....
    lo_nd_nodename->invalidate( ).

  • To get the table data into a file in pl/sql developer

    Hi
    i have table with 90k rows, i want to get the table data into a file like excel....
    i executed the select statement it shows only 5k rows because of buffer problem.
    can u please help me any alternative way to get the table data into a file.
    using cursors like that

    Really? excel for 90K rows :)
    face/desk/floor/"Hi and sorry neighbours below, it's me again"
    Err, I see you point, thanks Dang, I completely missed the 90k recs part, I must be getting old or modern ;)
    @Ramanjaneyulu,
    can u please help me any alternative way to get the table data into a file.You can always dump a query to a file, check these:
    http://tkyte.blogspot.com/2009/10/httpasktomoraclecomtkyteflat.html
    How to create Excel file (scroll down when necessary)
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/search.jspa?threadID=&q=export+to+excel&objID=f137&dateRange=all&userID=&numResults=15&rankBy=10001
    Depending on your database version ( the result of: select * from v$version; ) you might have some other options.

  • Is it possible to view/get the table data from a dump file

    I have dmp files generated using expdp on oracle 11g..
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_1.dmp
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_2.dmp
    expdp_schemas_18MAY2013_3.dmp
    Can I use a parameter file given below to get the table data in to the sql file or impdp the only option to load the table data in to database.
    vi test1.par
    USERID="/ as sysdba"

    SCHEMAS=USER1,USER2
    LOGFILE=user_dump_data.log
    SQLFILE=user_dump_data.sql
    and impdp parfile=test1.par.

    Hi,
    To explain more about my situation.
    Target database has the dump files, where as the source database (cloud) doesn't have access to the target database.
    However, I can request the target DB DBA team to run the par files and provide me the output like a SQL file which I can take and run it in my source database.
    I got the metadata the same way, but is there any way I could get the data from the dump files on the target DB without actually accessing it? My question might sound weird, but please let me know.
    <
    1. export from the source into a dumpfile. You can do this on the source database and then copy the file over to your local database or you can do this from a local database if you have a database link defined on the local database that points to the source database.  In the second case, your dumpfile will be created on your local database.

    How can i access the dump using the database link?

  • Extract the Attachment data from Adobe Reader 8

    Hi,
      We have a requirement to read the attachment data from adobe pdf. We are designing the PDF's in Adobe Live Cycle Designer ES. From the discussion i understand we can get the name and size of the attachment using dataobjects. But i need the content of the attachment. Let me know if there is any code to extract the attachment data.
    Thanks in advance.

    You can read the contents of an attached file using the doc.getDataObjectContents method: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.475.html
    You'll just have to parse the contents correctly using JavaScript.

  • HOW CAN I EXTRACT THE SYSTEM DATE?

    HOW CAN I EXTRACT THE SYSTEM DATE?

    import java.util.*;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    public class date2{
        public static void main(String[] args){
            Date today = new Date();
            SimpleDateFormat output = new SimpleDateFormat();
            String answer = output.format(today);
            System.out.println(answer);
    }If you want to make it prettier, you can look at using a locale, or a pattern string in the SimpleDateFormat constructor. Read the Documentation.
    Note that new Date(), constructs a Date with the current Time,
    you could also use: new Date(System.currentTimeMillis());
    Hope this helps

  • Automatically mailing the table data in excel format in ADF

    Hi ,
    I am new to ADF and I have a requirement where i need to send a mail on button click with an attachment of the table data in a excel format. There are two requirements here :
    1) If we take an example of EMP and Dept tables , a mail should be sent to the dept head with the table data of employees in individual sheets in a excel format.
    2) Here in Adf we have DownloadActionListener and exportCollectionActionListener components but we need to manually click on the save button to save the data in particular place and then again we need to send the mail from javaMail. So is their and way that we can do all these actions in one button click .
    could you please guide me on this .
    Thank you,
    Sashank P.

    User, please always tell us which jdev version you use (or want to use in the future).
    1) I would suggest to use poi.apache.org for the expport as it allows you better control over which data is exported and it allows you the generate native excel format
    2) you can execute more then one action from a button click. In a bean you can first generate the data to export and then queue an action which then calls the file download listener. For more info about this check http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/07/14/validate-data-before-export-via-afexportcollectionactionlistener-or-affiledownloadactionlistener/

  • Unable to see the table data

    Hi,
    I was not able to see the table data but number of rows are giving the output. Please suggest me here what happened..
    for ex:
    SQL> select count(*) from TEST.EMP;
    COUNT(*)
    0
    SQL> select table_name,NUM_ROWS from all_tables where owner='TEST' and table_name= 'EMP';
    TABLE_NAME NUM_ROWS
    EMP *87558*
    If there is no data, Why NUM_ROWS are showing count as 87558
    Thanks

    Query :
    select table_name,NUM_ROWS, SAMPLE_SIZE, LAST_ANALYZED from all_tables where owner='TEST' and table_name= 'EMP';NUM_ROWS is the computation or estimation of the number of rows present when the table was last analyzed with an ANALYZE TABLE or DBMS_STATS.GATHER_TABLE_STATS command. That date (LAST_ANALYZED) may be 1 day or 1 week or 1 month or xx hours/days/weeks/months/years ago.
