Extract the x,y values of two cursors in the same xy graph

I would like to extract the x,y values of 2 cursors in the same xy graph. The problem is i arrive to extract the value only for one curso. How can I do to extract the value of the other cursor ?
Regards,
Sylvain

Property nodes operate top to bottom, so all you need to do is change the "active cursor" property first. Here are two possibilities.

  • How to display multiple signals on the same chart/graph

    Hello,
    I have a text file that has 21 different signals acquired through NI DAQ. I am able to read the file and display on the chart but the problem is all the signals have the same dynamic range -6 to +6 so when plotted they all show up on top of each other and one cannot really discern whats going on. Please see the attached image.
    I am trying to ask the community for help on how could I display all 21 signals separate from each other so that the user can easily differentiate between signals. I thought about adding offsets to the signals but I dont really want to change the actual data and the data set is already large enough that I donot want to creat copies of data.
    I am running Labview 10.0.
    Any creative ideas.

    Using Stack Plots was my first thought too but it appears to be buggy these days. I know I've used it before with no problems but I can't get it to work now at all. In any case, stacking 21 plots will be futile since you won't be able to see any detail (unless you have a VERY tall monitor).  Your best bet is to use property nodes to make the plot of interest become highlighted in some way.
    EDIT:  I think stacking only works with charts.  You can select it on the right-click pop-up menu.  Then, expanding the plot legend determines the number of stacked plots shown.  Again, since there is so much wasted vertical space when stacking, you'll never be able to see 21 plots concurrently with any detail visible.

  • With two cursors on just one waveform graph, how can I acquire the X values of each cursor to use them in other functions?

    I can get the x values of each function to display on the front panel with no problems, but I have not been able to acquire this information from the front panel.

    You use a property node to programtically retrieve the cursor values. For each cursor, first use the property Active Cursor to select (0 for the first and 1 for the second) and then the property Cursor Position:Cursor X. See the attachment.

  • How do i plot with the operating system time in one plot and show lines between cursors in another using the same XY graph?

    I am having some trouble graphing two plots at once. One plot is to show the current temperature inside a chamber as a function of time. I am trying to pick the current time and temperature each second and plot it with each point being connected by a line. I am able to show a moving, blinking dot each second but I can't figure out how to develop an actual line with these dots. To make matters worse, the blinking dot is back in the year 1903. I understand that it uses seconds elapsed since 1903, and am trying to find out how to graph the current temperature with the system time.
    The second plot is just 5 moveable cursors that are to be connected by a line. I am able to move the cursors and retrieve the position information, but I can't make a line between them.
    I have attached my main .vi, though you may have to pick the graphing part off to have it work for you.

    You're not creating the XY graph data correctly. I've attached an example with a couple of simple XY Graphs. One is using a couple of shift registers to hold the spearate x and y arrays. I think this is what you were trying to do. The other one uses a VI from the shipping examples called XY Chart. It makes an XY Grpah act like a chart. I've also shown the correct way to display current time.Message Edited by Dennis Knutson on 05-12-2005 03:51 PM

  • OBI 10g merge 2 time dimensions on the same table/graph in analysis

    Hi,
    My problem is: I have 2 different analyses (working fine) (using OBI 10g), they both use a different time dimension:
    time_dim_1 | fact1
    time_dim_2 | fact2
    I want to merge them to have something like the following:
    time_dim | fact1 | fact2
    What I managed to get so far is something like this:
    time_dim1 | time_dim2 | fact1 | fact2 (with, if we suppose there are 12 rows in time_dim1 and time_dim2, 12*12 = 144 rows instead of just 12)
    Here is some more explanations about how I set my repository:
    My fact table "issues" is made of the following columns:
    issue_id, issue_type, issue_create_date, issue_end_date
    I also have a table "calendar" with year, quarter, month and full_gregorian_date.
    In the physical layer I created 2 aliases for the "calendar" table to join with the fact table using "issue_create_date" and "issue_end_date".
    In the business model I created the 2 related time dimensions.
    Everything is working fine so far, I was able to get 2 different analyses :
    - time dimension (joined with "issue_CREATE_date") | count of issues (with aggregation rule "count" on issue_id)
    to see how many new issues are CREATED through time (are there more issues created or less)
    - time dimension (joined with "issue_END_date") | count of issues (with aggregation rule "count" on issue_id)
    to see how many new issues are ENDED through time (when are more issues ended)
    What I want is a third analysis like this:
    - time dimension | count of created issues | count for ended issues
    Thanks for your help.

  • Is it possible to extract the text and images using PHP

    Hi friends,
    Is it possible to extract the text and images using PHP, in the same order as it is in the PDF?
    Else is it possible extract the same as XML using PHP, or ASP
    I googled it but its in vain, any help is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear Mike,
    Thanks for your quick reply,
    I mean is it possible to parse the PDF line by line using the PHP.
    I extracted the whole text but couldn't the images. Since the PDF's images are decoded using various methods like DCTDecode, JPXDecode, etc.
    The text is decoded with FlateDecode, which i breaked using a function in PHP.
    Thanks,

  • To retain the same file name in target(File) that coming from source system(AS2).

    Hi All,
    I have a requirement to send the two file from the third party system(GXS) to SAP ECC via SAP PI(version - 7.4). We are using AS2 adapter at the sender side to pick the file and using File Adapter to place the file in ECC.
    Its a pass through scenarion(No ESR part is used).
    Requirement:
    We are going to get 2 files ->Example:  one from Axis and another one from ICICI -> each bank file will have a file name ->
    We have to post the file at the target system with the same name as source file name, the source file name could come dynamically(with diff time stamp).
    Please let me know, Is it possible to achieve the above requirement(we have to retain the file name in target that coming from source system) with Sender AS2 adapter, If yes then please suggest the best approach.
    Regards,
    Pradeep Bawlia

    Hi Guys,
    The above requirement is solved now.
    Solution - I used java mapping for extracting the same source file name and assignning the same to the target system.
    Code:
    public class ExtractFileName_ASMA extends AbstractTransformation{
    public void transform(TransformationInput in, TransformationOutput out) throws StreamTransformationException
    DynamicConfiguration conf=in.getDynamicConfiguration();
    DynamicConfigurationKey key_AS2FileNmae = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/AS2/AS2", "AS2Filename");
    DynamicConfigurationKey key_FileNmae = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http:/"+"/sap.com/xi/XI/System/File", "FileName");
    String As2FileName=conf.get(key_AS2FileNmae);
    conf.put(key_FileNmae, As2FileName);
    try{
    byte b[]=new byte[in.getInputPayload().getInputStream().available()];
    in.getInputPayload().getInputStream().read(b);
    out.getOutputPayload().getOutputStream().write(b);
    catch(Exception e)
    2. Another solution we can use the graphical mapping and need to use the dynamic config UDF at mapping level to acheive this requirement but here is one drawback - we need to do content conversion is this case.
    In case of Java mapping, no need to play with source file.
    WITHOUT USING ESR, WE CAN NOT ACHEIVE THIS REQUIREMENT.

  • How to display 4 graphs on the same graphs display when running the VI 4 times ?

    My goal is trying to display 4 different graphs on the the same XY graph when I run the VI 4 times. Right now, the new graph will overdrive the previous graph when I re-run the VI.
    Please help!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    You need a mechanism for storing previous data; LabVIEW graphs do not have a history, they display sets of data.  A shift register is an obvious answer, but it can get somewhat "tricky" when the Build XY Graph is used as it accepts a DDT and you cannot simply append a data set using array functions...
    The solution?
    Rather than make the changes for you, I've created a simple example for a regular graph to show you how to use an un-initialized shift register to store values from previous runs (the data will be lost when the VI is closed) as long as the VI is in memory.
    I'll leave the DDT conversion from the 2D-array and XY graph implementation for you to figure out in case this is some form of a homework assignment.
    Good luck!

  • How do you get multiple plots to show up on the same graph?

    I am trying to get multiple (20) plots to show up on the same XY
    graph.  My data set is a 2D array, which exits a for loop.
    The ultimate goal is to have one plot show up after each iteration of

  • How can I get extract the data between two cursors on an XY graph

    How can I get extract the data between two cursors on an XY graph

    Well, you say xy graph, so this might be a more complicated problem.
    For a waveform graph it's trivial. Simply get the two cursor indices (property: cursor index) and apply them to array subset of the data. Is that all you need?
    Here's how the above code would look like. using cursor.index instead of cursor.x elimnates the need to include scaling information.
    For an xy graph, there could be multiple segments (e.g. imagine a spiral that passes the desired x range multiple times from both sides). This would neeed significantly more code for a general solution.

  • Using two cursors, one for updating salary values in the emp table

    Using COPIES of the employee and department tables provided by Oracle or using similar taples that provide employee, salary, job and dept in one table and dept number and department name in another table, write the following program. Use the dept table to step through sequentially and bring up the records with the same department from the employee table. Using an IF statement calcuate a new salary based on the job (you decide on the criteria). Update each record on the employee file (this is why you should use copies) with the new salary. In addition, calculate the total salary for each department and create a new table with the department number, the department name and the salary.
    I'm able to update the salary values, but I'm not sure how to insert those updated values into an empty table the way this problem is asking me to.
    Here's my script so far: any help would be greatly appreciated: )
    declare
    v_deptno emp.deptno%type;
    v_job emp.job%type;
    v_sal emp.sal%type;
    v_dname dept.dname%type;

    where emp.deptno = dept.deptno
    for update of sal;
    cursor totdeptsal_c is
    select dname,sal
    from emp,dept
    where emp.deptno = dept.deptno;
    Begin
    open salup_c;
    loop
    fetch salup_c into v_job,v_sal;
    exit when salup_c%notfound;
    if v_job = 'CLERK' then
    v_sal := v_sal + 10;
    else
    if v_job = 'ANALYST' then
    v_sal := v_sal + 20;
    else
    if v_job = 'MANAGER' then
    v_sal := v_sal + 30;
    else
    if v_job = 'PRESIDENT' then
    v_sal := v_sal + 40;
    else v_sal := v_sal + 50;
    end if;
    end if;
    end if;
    end if;
    update emp
    set sal = v_sal
    where current of salup_c;
    open totdeptsal_c;
    v_deptsal := 0;
    loop
    fetch totdeptsal_c into v_dname, v_deptsal;
    exit when totdeptsal_c%notfound;
    v_deptsal := v_deptsal + v_sal;
    insert into totalsal
    values(v_deptno,v_dname,v_deptsal);
    end loop;
    close totdeptsal_c;
    end loop;
    close salup_c;
    end;

    The script is actually inserting some values into the new table but look at what I'm getting
    Here it is: i only want the dept number ,the dept name, and total salary for each department.

  • Two listener for the same queue - different extraction rule

    Hi all.
    I've the following situation that I'm trying to troubleshoot.
    OSB communicates with another system using JMS Queues.
    One queue for teh request, one for the response.
    Depending on the kind of service, the request is published on the request using a dynamical routing to a Business Service. Depending on the cases, this business service could be:
    1. Just insertion on the queue (no response required)
    2. "Queue Manager" - Insertion and wait for response (response required, JMS Correlation ID as correlation pattern)
    About the extraction from the response queue, when the messages are published from the "Queue Manager", then they must be extracted from the same resource based on the Correlation ID.
    Otherwise, all the messages published in other way (not the "Queue Manager" but the option #1), a different resource should extract them from the response queue (a proxy service with protocol JMS).
    What happens at runtime is that the messages published from the "Queue Manager" are extracted from the other resource.
    How can I solve this?
    Do I need to use two separate queues or there is a way to configure two different listener on the queue, one based on the JMS Correlation ID and the other one that extracts all the other requests?
    Thanks in advance to anyone that will help.

    Unfortunately, I've already evaluate the message selector option, but in the following case:
    BS1 (Request Only)----->JMSQRequest ----->Your Logic ----->JMS Reponse--->JMS Proxy service with Message selector
    The JMS Proxy with message selector should know the value that is the key for the extraction. In this case we have not this infornation since when we run this scenario there is an external system that extracts the request and provides the response... and in the middle we lost the informations (e.g. if we use a key ID, the Proxy with message selector doesn't knwo which value is has to search for in the ID).
    For the moment I think that the best solution could be to have two separate queues, but I'm trying to figure out if there is any other option.

  • From two given tables, how do you fetch the values from two columns using values from one column(get values from col.A if col.A is not null and get values from col.B if col.A is null)?

    Hi,
    Use NVL or COALESCE:
    NVL (col_a, col_b)
    Returns col_a if col_a is not NULL; otherwise, it returns col_b.
    Col_a and col_b must have similar (if not identical) datatypes; for example, if col_a is a DATE, then col_b can be another DATE or it can be a TIMESTAMP, but it can't be a VARCHAR2.
    For more about NVL and COALESCE, see the SQL Language manual: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e26088/functions119.htm#sthref1310
    I hope this answers your question.
    If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all tables involved, and also post the results you want from that data.
    Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.
    Always say which version of Oracle you're using (e.g., 11.2.0.2.0).

  • How to extract the values from WPBP table

    Hi experts,
    We are in preparation of a custom report.
    In the report we want to have a  value from WPBP table.
    We want to extract the value of Capacity utilization level from WPBP table.
    Could you please let me know the way to extract the value.
    Please advice.
    Regards,
    Sairam.

    Hi Sairam,
    Why do you try to get capacity utilization level from WBPB. Even if there is split in payroll capacity utilizatian level in WPBP shows the value in IT0008 basic pay.
    So instead you can get the required information from table PA0008 Field for capacity utilization level is BSGRD
