F-48 Down Payment posting to Fixed Asset

Dear Sap gurus,
We have a case where we have created a PO with a generic material with Acct Assignment Category as "A" for Asset.  In the Account Assignment, we enter the AUC number, Internal Order number and other relevant details.
We then make a down payment to the vendor using tcode F-48.  In this, we enter the PO number and its line item as  the in the second screen.  When we press enter, we get the Asset number in the field in the second line item.
When we simulate, we get 4 line items, as under :
Vendor Debit (Special GL)
Bank Credit
AUC asset Debit
Asset Clg Credit.
Since, the line items 3 and 4 are generated, the system asks us to enable Asset postings for document type "KZ" for the down payment.
We do NOT want to have the line items 3 and 4 being generated.  We just want the following entry when doing F-48 :
Vendor Debit (Special GL)
Bank Credit.
How can we get this done ?
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
PS : In a standard system these line items 3 and 4 are NOT generated.

Hi Sreecheera,
You can achieve this by following the steps below:-
1. Create a New Field Status group as a copy of G067 and assign Z067(Suppress Assets here) to your Vendor related recon accounts... (Special GL A)
2. Now when you create a down payment request in F-47, you will get an error F5 378...
3. Supress this error message in OBA5 - Enter Work area as F5 in OBA5 and supress the message no 378 to W.

  • Settlements from revenues/debit-side down payments to receiver fixed asset

    Hi
while settling the WBS to AUC i am getting the below error
settlements from revenues/debit-side down payments to receiver fixed asset  is not allowed
please advise how to resolve the issue
    Thanks
    Rao...

    Hi Rao,
As a matter of system design revenues must not be settled to assets  under construction and/or regular assets.
Please see the note #741828 which explains the problem more detailed.
In some cases it is sufficient to maintain a "dummy" settlement rule (e.g. internal order as a receiver for the revenues) if the BALANCE of the revenue cost element in the settlement period is "0". The note #741828 advises in detail on how to proceed.
As a last resort the note also offers a coding change in case you do not want to follow the workaround (so that message KD561 is suppressed  during settlement). You may thus remove the coding change again after  you have successfully settled.

  • Down Payment Posting in Assets Under Construction

    Hi
In case of AuC, when we post the down payment, the standard Accounting entry created is:
    Vendor Advance A/c Dr
Asset Under Construction (Down Payment) Dr
         To Bank A/c
         To Asset Clearing A/c
When we Post the invoice , the A/c entry passed is
    Asset under Construction A/c Dr
          To vendor A/c Cr
When we clear the down payment against the invoice
    Vendor A/c Dr
    Asset Clearing A/c Dr
         To Vendor Advance A/c
To Asset under Construction (Down Payment)
    My issue is:
    1. Why the Asset account should be involved for making down payments? At the time of down payments, the accounting entry that should be passed by the system showuld be
    Vendor A/c Dr
        To Bank A/c
    2. What happens in the case of year end activities? Why does system create two entries for current assets?

  • Down payment (F-48)   for Asset Purchase Order

    Dear Experts,
Please guide me,   i  am getting one error while doing down payment to  vendor through F-48 ,    I created one asset purchase order,  against purchase order making down payment that time  i am getting this  error message
"You cannot use this transaction type to post to this asset
    Message no. AA834
    Diagnosis
The transaction type entered belongs to transaction type group 15. According to the specifications for this transaction type group, posting with transactions types belonging to this group are only allowed in specific asset classes (for example, asset classes for assets under construction).
The asset to which you are posting belongs to class 401006 (chart of depreciation WCCD). You cannot post to this class using the transaction type you have entered.
    Procedure
Check the asset number entered. You may want to allow posting with this transaction type group for the asset class of the asset.  "
my asset is plant and machinery, any configuration is required.
as per my knowledge i checked in T.code : OAYB   transaction type groups   15  only assign AUC asset class and  Capital  Advance.    In account determination  balance sheet  accounts   there is  Acquistion : Down payment   and  Clearin G/lL for Down payment   g/l a/c  not assign .
SAP F1 help  in that field (above said)  is saying that only for AUC.
Please guid me ,   What to do.
    Thanks & Regards
    Chandu

    Hi Chandu,
Can youplease confirm the the Asset Class (the one linked to the asset you are using for carrying out down payment with T.Code F-48) has been set-up in configuration as an AUC asset class. Check on T.Code OAOA for the radio button selected for Status of AUC.
In case your Asset Class - which is Plant & Machinery - has been set up as "No AuC or summary management of AuC" i.e. has been set-up as a final asset class then you will get the error.
    Solution Options:
    (1) Either change the Asset Class set-up (using T.Code OAOA).
Please note - you might not be permitted/able to do this if the system already has posted transactions for this asset class.
    (2) Carry out the downpayment for an AUC Asset (create an AUC Asset using T.Code AS01). Carry out F-48 for this. Later settle this AUC asset to the required/relevant final asset (using T.Codes AIAB and AIBU).
    (3) Specify your Asset Class as available for carrying out DownPayment transaction. Use T.Code OAYB and for Transaction Type Group 15, include/add a new entry for your asset class.
    (4) Ensure that the Account Determination linked to you asset class (check this in T.Code OAOA) has been correctly and adequately set-up for GL account determination (use T.Code AO90).
    Hope this helps.

  • Down payment Posting to G/L account through sales order (va01)

    Hello Everyone,
I have a question regarding down payment for a cash type sales order.
When a cash type sales order is created and customer pays some down payment (at header or item level), on saving the sales order a finance document is generated in the background and gets posted to the GL account. this financial document is not the part of document flow of sales order, but it can be checked using transaction FBL3N.( By selecting posting done on a perticular day)
VA01 transaction some where calls t-code F-29 for deposit posting. I have to do some manipulation on the accounting document populated in back ground but i am unable to find the exact location from where this deposit posting is done. while creating a cash sales order and saving a deposit, I debugged the transaction VA01 for more than 3 hours but could not track the creation of deposit accounting document.
Could anyone suggest me a way to find the location from where the deposit posting to accounts is done from sales order? Or any other solution for the stated problem..
    I would appricate the help.
    Thanks is advance!

    hi
in the table below your MIRO screen you will see PO Reference on this tab select the item of the PO that you need post for this PO, in the tab G/L account you can make manual post aditional to the PO, also you can in the tab PO reference modify amounts and quantity if you need, but it is not recommended

  • Down Payment Posting

    Help On this please.
    1. Billing plan is set up in the sales order
    2. Sales Order is saved
    3. VF01- created the down payment request
    4. Posted Down Payment F-39
    5. In the sales order  document flow- shows accounting document generated and cleared
    Question:
    1. If the total due is $200 and customer is requested for $100 downpayment but  they pay $90, is there way to have the difference adjusted automatically on the sales order to show the remaining balance to be invoiced = $110.
    2. When the final invoice document is created the downpayment amount is missing, is there a way to capture the downpayment on the  invoice so we can show the total amount minus the downpayment amount= balance due.
    Thanks

  • Down payment posting for customer (f-29)

I have post the entries for  customer down payment there was a pop up. ( G/L account define for a/c type D spl G/L indicator.A reconcilation account 3002).Why its came? and what is the solution to post the entries?

    Hi,
please complete the Tx code OBXR config for the DP spl gl indicator and recon a/c mentioned.
The reason why system is asking you to enter another recon a/c is all special gl transactions are posted to another recon account instead of regular recon a/c.So you have to enter an alternate recon a/c for the spl gl indicator mentioed.
Hope thi shelps. Pls assign points as a way of saying thanks,.

  • Down Payments - Assets - Confg

    Hiii Gurus
I have configured down payments for customers and vendors , now my client is asking to configure down payments to Assets also...is there any configuration required for Assets ( M ) , if is can any body send me the confg documents regarding Assets Down Payments , or is enough by giving Down Payment GL Account in "Specify GL Account " in AA ??
Plsss help me guys , i wil give full points if it is useful to me....
    thanks in advance
    regards
    ramki

    Hi Ramki,
i under stand, but standard SAP there is no down payment functionality for Fixed assets.
    do one thing,
same asset you create as a AUC first, then you post down payment transactins to that AUC Asset, once you receive invoice , you adjust the down payment,
finally you settele the AUC  to Fixed asset.
i thnk this is teh best optin as of now.
if it ok.  or not give reply other wise we will try other optons(we have to explor).

  • Down payment in fixed asset

    Hi,
I want to configure the recording of down payment on asset (F-48) where when down payment will be made asset will be debited and down payment on asset clearing account will be credited. I found out that there we need to do configuration in OAYB i.e. inclusion of asset class in transaction type group. Another configuration we need to do in AO85 or AO90 ie assigning of GL accounts in account determination. But still i am not able create line items for posting to asset and down payment clearing account. Entry is posted with Vendor account dr. and bank account cr. but additional line items that is asset account dr. to asset down payment clearing.
Is there anything i need to configure in addition to OAYB & AO90.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Ajay,
Thanks for your reply. In fact configuration was there down payment got recorded on asset and offsetting clearing account. Client posted invoice and while clearing special GL transaction wiht inovice system is not allowing it to clear with error of transaction type group. Because configuration relating to it was removed. I don't know the request number. So I am planning to restore configuration and clear the invoice and remove config. For this I have done config on OAYB and AO90 created PO  - Project stock with asset catefory. created request with reference to PO and down payment. Entry for Vendor Dr and bank credit generated but asset dr and dwon payment on asset cr is not generated. Is i am missing anything. I need your help desparately.
One more point that is now the asset class in NO AUC. Shall I enter both GL accounts in account determination or provide only one gl account in account determination in down payment clearing account. Or check the asset class as AUC and provide both accounts in account determiantion.
    Thanks

  • Down payment request for assets using bapi_acc_document_post

    Hi guys(girls)!,
    I<< priority reduced >>
I'm posting a down payment request to an asset with a z program using bapi_acc_document_post. Everything is fine, but, when i go to fb03 to check the generated document i don't see the asset number associated to the purchase doc. When i go to bseg to check, i don't see the asset number and the subnumber. I lack just these to fields even i'm passing the values to correct fields in bapiacgl09.
This is the values i'm passing:
    wa_acctgl-itemno_acc  =  iterator.
    wa_acctgl-gl_account  =  lv_skont.
    wa_acctgl-vendor_no   =  p_vendor.
    wa_acctgl-doc_type    =  p_tipdoc.
    wa_acctgl-item_text   =  p_txtcab.
    wa_acctgl-po_number   =  p_ponum.
    wa_acctgl-po_item     =  s_ekpo-ebelp.
    wa_acctgl-serial_no   =  imp_no.
    wa_acctgl-asset_no    =  wa_ekkn-anln1.
    wa_acctgl-sub_number  =  wa_ekkn-anln2.
    wa_acctgl-acct_type   =  'A'.
    wa_acctgl-CS_TRANS_T  =  '100'.
    wa_acctgl-asval_date  =  sy-datum.
    APPEND wa_acctgl      TO gt_acctgl.
    CLEAR wa_acctgl.

Hi Eduardo, what i'm trying to do is a down payment request for an asset. Indeed, i do the post. My problem is that the asset main number and the asset subnumber are not getting saved in bseg, so when i go to fb03 and double click on a line item, i got prompt to fb03 in visualize mode, and the fixed asset field is blank.
I have now a week trying to get the asset main number and the asset subnumber getting saved in bseg. I note that i have other field that are not getting saved 'cause i'm not passing the value thru the bapi. This field is LNRAN.
If you or anybody have a clue how to solve this, i would appreciate the help.

  • Settlement of WBS element down payments to an asset under constructions

The down payment (of the transactions tcode F-47 and tcode F-110), are
always settlement wbs element (tcode CJ88), we do not want to post down
payments to the receiving asset under construction (transaction type
    180 or 181).
In the down payments are always taken into account in the settlement to
an asset. The settlement of the down payment is the actual reason for
the previous update of down payments in FI (Transaction type group
15). Furthermore, the settlement of down payments to assets should
    not be capitalize.

When you search on this forum try to put Date range "ALL" to get more results. Please read below threads and you will get the solution.
MIRO:Transaction in area 15 contradicts the net book value rule
Transaction in area 01 contradicts the NBV
Looks like you have a negative balance in your WBS which you are trying to settle to FA.
