Facetime issue between 2 iPads

OK i try to explain; my husband's ipad can call my phone or my ipad mini and I hear the signal to answer. But when I try to call his ipad, from my phone it keeps ringing and ringing on my end, nothing on his end. Yet when I hang up it indicates he missed a facetime call. Same goes if I call his ipad from my ipad mini; it just says it is connecting to his facetime, but he gets no notice of this. Yet when I end the 'call', his ipad indicates a missed call. Any ideas kind experts? Thank you

Well, I got it working somehow, but it is sporadic. He doesn't always get the notification that a call is coming in. He did have the mute on, but that was not the/only problem as he wasn't getting the Answer/Decline buttons showing up. So theoretically things are working, but not all the time. Time for another glass of wine...

Itunes photo syncing issues between laptop/ipad

I'm syncing photos on my laptop to my new ipad2 via itunes and randomly in each folder around 10% of the photos always come out corrupted with horizontal lines or even half the picture missing. Have tried reinstalling itunes etc but still get random corruption issues. Have managed to successfully import the photos if I save them to my camera and import via the camera connection kit but don't want to do that for the thousands of photos I have on my laptop. Any ideas?

I have now managed to find the cause of the problem. All down to a conflict issue between itunes and Zonealarm. The solution is to go into program access in Zonealarm and ensure that the iTunes Photo Processor program is set to NO ENFORCEMENT for trust level. An alternative is to temporarily stop Zonealarm, sync and then turn on Zonealarm back on. If you don't do this, a number of the photos (and it appears to be at random) become corrupted. Hope this helps anyone else running Zonealarm.

FaceTime issues between 2014 retina MacBook Pros

Another person with whom I have regular rMBP-to-rMBP FaceTime sessions can no longer initiate FT sessions to me without the message "...unavailable for FaceTime call..." appearing on screen. This happens even when I am available and expecting the call. Both of us use 2014 rMBP laptops running Yosemite 10.10.1. If I initiate the session, my call will only appear on the other person's iPhone...not their rMBP. Perhaps one of us is overlooking something... or perhaps it's related to Yosemite's 10.10.1 issues? I'm unable to determine the cause. Does this mimic a problem experienced by anyone else?

That's a good question... I don't know. Nobody else has tried. I'll have to find another correspondent and get back to you.

HT2729 Video syncing issues between new IPad and Macbook

I used my new IPad to film some videos for about three months. Today, I connected my IPad to my Macbook in an attempt to upload the IPad videos to my Macbook ITunes. Unfortunately, the IPad synced with my computer files, and all of my videos were erased off of my IPad. I cannot locate them anywhere on my computer. How can I recover these lost videos? Please help! Thanks!

Try this first.... Quit iTunes, restart the Mac, restart the iPad and then try again.

FaceTime volume issue between iPad Air and iPad 2

I've noticed that when making FaceTime calls between iPad Air and iPad 2, the volume on iPad 2 is too soft and the volume on iPad Air is too loud. This only occurs between 2 different type of iPads. If both parties use the same type, the volumes on both sides are roughly the same and loud enough to be heard clearly. I've also verified with Skype which produced roughly the same loudness when video calling between an iPad Air and an iPad 2.
Just hope Apple can take notice of this issue and rectify in the new iOS release.

I have added a new email address but kept my Id, but I get busy when trying from iPhone to iPad as they are clashing. Like find my iPhone app hence trying to keep them all on one account

using an ipad will use the email address since you can't make a phone call. see the link.
Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal.

Facetime not working between wifi ipads

Hi please help...
I have 2 wifi ipad2. Facetime between those ipads used to work fine, but slowly the connection got spotty, and now it does not work at all.
When trying to call via FT, you can see the other side only as a freeze frame, not audio pass through at all. Sometimes it will just say fail.
Any one have experience with this problem.
Any suggestions? please?

It sounds like you are having a problem with the WiFi link(s). For each iPad, unplug the WiFi router for a few seconds. Then reset the iPad's network. Go to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. You will need to reconnect the iPad to WiFi. (If both iPads use the same WiFi router, you only need to unplug it once.)

No you do not need separate Apple ID's in order to use 3 devices with one Apple ID. I use 4 devices to Message and FaceTime and all use the same Apple ID. You do need to add additional email addresses for the other devices.

I am not able to connect to anyone via FaceTime. It just does not connect.
Recently I have updated my iPhone to iOS version 7.0.4 which should resolved any FaceTime issues but it has gone the other way and stopped my good working FaceTime app. Any steps which I should follow? Instagram is also not working properly, it wont upload photos, but I am least bothered about this as FaceTime is my real concern.

I wonder if the problem of not beig alble to use itunes match between my ipad and my Macbook air is because i have the two set up on different email addresses so that I can use facetime between the two devices,if so how do I remedy that? I also have two seperate Apple itunes accounts for the two,would they both have to be on the same account?

Yes, I am connected to the internet. I am getting my mobile me account email but nothing from my exchange server account, however when I try to reply to a message it gets stuck in my outbox. When I click on Get Mail and send nothing happens. Usually I see the spinning wheel but nothing now. There are several messages in my out box from both the exchange and mobile me accounts. Thanks

Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
