Facing TIME OUT error during data load extraction
The program "SAPLSENA" has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime without
interruption and has therefore been terminated.
Can someone help me with the solution please?
Hi Sai,
IT looks like you are running the program in foreground and execution takes more time than the value specified under profile parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time.
Check whether you can execute the same in background.
If not then increase the value of parameter rdisp/max_wprun_time . Take SAP restart and test again.
Hope this helps.

Maxl Error during data load - file size limit?
<p>Does anyone know if there is a file size limit while importingdata into an ASO cube via Maxl. I alsogot "DATAERRORLIMIT' reached and I can not find the log filefor this...? Thanks!</p>
Have you looked in the data error log to see what kind of errors you are getting. The odds are high that you are trying to load data into calculated memebers (or upper level memebers) resulting in errors. It is most likely the former. <BR><BR>you specify the error file with the <BR><BR>on error write to '/XXX.log'; <BR><BR>statement. Have you looked for this file to find why you are getting errors? Do yourself a favor, load the smaller file and look for the error file to see what kind of an error you are getting. It is possible that you error file is larger than your load file, since multiple errors on a single load item may result in a restatement of the entire load line for each error.<BR><BR>This is a starting point for your exploration into the problem. <BR><BR>DATAERRORLIMIT is set at the config file, default at 1000, max at 65000.<BR><BR>NOMSGLOGGINGONDATAERRORLIMIT if set to true, just stops logging and continues the load when the data error limit is reached. I'd advise using this only in atest environement since it doesn't solve the initial problem of data errors.<BR><BR>Probably what you'll have to do is ignore some of the columns in the data load that load into calculated fields. If you have some upper level memebers, you could put them in skip loading condition. <BR><BR>let us know what works for you.

Segmentation fault error during data load in parallel with multiple rules
Hi,
I'm trying to do sql data load in parallel with multiple rules (4 or 5 rules, maybe), i'm getting a "segmentation fault" error. I tested 3 rules file and it worked fine. we're using Essbase system 9.3.2., with UDB (v8) as the sql data source. ODBC driver is DataDirect 5.2 DB2 Wire Protocol Driver (ARdb222). Please let me know if you have any information on this.
thx.
YHi Thad,
I was wondering, if system is unicode or non unicode that should not matter the amount and currency field . As currencies are defined by SAP and it is in pure English at least a currency code part of 3 Chars.
Could this because of some incosistency of data ??
I would like to know for Which currency had some special characters it it in that particular record ??
Hope that helps.

Error during data load due to special characters in source data
Hi Experts,
We are trying to load Billing data into the BW using the billing item datasource. It seems that there are some special characters in the source data. When the record with these characters is encountered, the request turns red and the package is not loaded even into the PSA. The error we get in the monitor is something like
'RECORD 5028: Contents from field **** cannot be converted into type CURR',
where the field **** is a key figure of type currency. We managed to identify the said record in RSA3 on the source system and found that one of the fields contains some invalid (special) characters that show up as squares in RSA3. The data in the rest of the fields, including the fields mentioned in the error looks correct.
Our source system is a non-unicode system wheras the BW system is unicode enabled. I figure that the data in the rest of the fields are getting misaligned due to the presence of the invalid characters in the above field. This was confirmed when we unassigned the field with the special characters from the transfer rules and removed the source field from the transfer structure. After doing this the data was loaded successfully and the request turned green.
Can anyone suggest a way to either filter out such invalid characters from the source data or make some settings in the BW systems such that the special characters are no longer invalid in the BW system? We cannot write code in the transfer rules because the data package does not even come into the PSA. Is there any other method to solve this problem?

1.No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.
2.IDocs were found in the ALE inbox for Source System that are not
Updated. Processing is overdue
5.1st That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd - That there are Duplicate Data Records leading to error.
7.1st That it is a PC File Source System.
2nd For uploading data from the PC File it seems that the file was not kept at the application server & the job was scheduled in Background
8.The background processing was not finished in the source system.
It is possible that the background processing in the source system was terminated.System response .There are incomplete data packets present
9.After looking at all the above error messages we find that if we want to load data with the delta update you must first initialize the delta process.
10.Here we can see that the Activation of ODS has failed as the Request Status in the ODS may not be green.
13.While Fiscal year is mostly the financial year and varies depending upon the Client using which Fiscal year Variant. Client may consider April is the start month of year (financial) .So this can be achieved by defining the fiscal year. One client can have different fiscal year definations with different Fiscal varients. So Fiscal variants differ the starting and ending of fiscal year.
For example in India we follow Fiscal year from April to March. You can have a look at the Fiscal year Variant and the periods in transaction OB29

Dear All,
One of our production system and one of HR user got time out error while executing T-code PA30 , PA40 .
Note : we tried the transaction ( PA30 and PA40 ) in our user id ,it work smooth ,there is no issue with in my user id as well other HR user also .
Only the specific user facing time out error in Production server.
Note : while executing PA30 ,PA40 t-codes ,it takes long time to get initial screen itself finally got time out error (No issue with other SAP HR users) .
Pls check the below logs:
Runtime Error TIME_OUT
Occurred on 17.08.2011 at 08:59:00
Time limit exceeded.
What happened?
The program "SAPLRHAC" has exceeded the maximum permitted runtime without
interruption, and has therefore been terminated.
What can you do?
Print out the error message (using the "Print" function)
and make a note of the actions and input that caused the
error.
To resolve the problem, contact your SAP system administrator.
You can use transaction ST22 (ABAP Dump Analysis) to view and administer
termination messages, especially those beyond their normal deletion
date.
Error analysis
After a certain length of time, the program is terminated. In the case
of a work area, this means that
- endless loops (DO, WHILE, ...),
- database accesses producing an excessively large result set,
Kindly advise ,is this related to any Authorization issue ???Hi,
Please share SAP_BASIS/ SAP_HR release/patch level information of the affected SAP system.
I would suggest you to create New Temp SAP User id with exact copy of that affected SAP User ID and then try to access PA30/PA40 with that New SAP User id login into affected system. Check that, u are facing the same behavior/issue with that New Temp SAP User id ?

Workflow install time-out error
hi,
i get a time-out error during wf configuration assistant. i believe that is has something to do with a database/workflow language conflict. the ca aborts just after setting and resetting env var 4(?) nls_lang/wf_nls_lang. any thoughts?
thanks,
kpYour question is overly terse. As this ain't Twitter, maybe you can use a few more characters to describe what you are asking for?
Timeouts can occur in a couple of situations:
1) On connections. By default, most client APIs give up if the connection has not completed within 15 seconds. This value is usually adjustable.
2) When running commands. Many client APIs has a default timeout of 30 seconds, meaning that if SQL Server has not returned any data in this time frame, they give up and tell SQL Server to stop executing. If you experience this, you need to determine whether
the timeout is the problem or the fact that it takes 30 seconds is the problem. The timeout is adjustable on the Command object. The default is a hole in the head in my opinion.
3) Lock timeouts. This is a timeout that occurs inside SQL Server (in opposition to the other two) when a process has been waiting for a lock long enough. The default here is -1 which means "wait forever". But you can use the command SET LOCK_TIMEOUT
to set an explicit lock timeout.
4) When talking to linked servers. These timeouts are really the same as the first two, but they occur inside SQL Server, as here SQL Server is the client with regards to the remote data source. The default for queries is 10 minutes, a little more generous
than the default in the client API.

MacAir- Wifii "connected" no loading or "time out" errors
I have a MacAir and all of the sudden the Wifii wouldn't connect to the wifii server at school.
Other students were having no issues. It would say "time out" error.
Then it would connect to the guest network and full bars would show but wont load any pages.
My ipad is able to connect normally. Therefore it must be my OS on the MacAir.
If followed other support threads and reset the network but still having the same issue
I really need to get this fixed if possible, any help would be appreciated. Thank you~Hi aimomo!

Error during date calculation: Time entered not numerical
Hi All,
We are using SAP MI 7.0 SP18 Server and Client
xMAM 3.0 SR06
Now when we create a Notification using the link Notification Management of type PV and SAVE.
When Synchronized, it is completed but backend no notification is trigerring and when checked in Error Logs
the following message is shown Error during date calculation: Time entered not numerical
Kindly Suggest
Regards,
Kiran JoshuaHi All,
I got to know how to edit the entries from merep_mon : Thanks to Chinna.
But unfortunately that did not solve my problem
I had to debug the function module of the respective SyncBO and found that the Profile type was not maintained in the backend.
Infact the error "Error during date calculation: Time entered not numerical" was misleading.
Anyways upon customising the Profile for the PJ and PV type Notifications that solved my issue.

Hi,
We are trying to invoke a Web Service from BPEL Process (10.1.3.3.0) and we received below time out error message in em console.
</part></Invoke_1_setJobPostingXML_InputVariable></input><fault><remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"><part name="summary"><summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Message send failed: Read timed out</summary>
Problem here is this error is not coming for all the invocation. For ex. We have posted the input payload at 3:15:34PM today and it thrown an error at 3:45:12 PM with above message. Also its not huge load hitting their server as we are calling the webservice once in 4-5 mins and if we repost the same message, its posting without any issue. This time out error comes 4-5 times daily and want to understand why it occurs everyday.
1. Will BPEL receive an error if we post huge payload to web service?
2. Do we need to set some waiting time to receive the response after posting the data to Web service?
3. Other possible scneario's for timeout error?
Thanks,
SaravanaHi Saravana,
It's likely to be a problem at the remote side or a network latency/communication problem...
How can you affirm "its not huge load hitting their server"? Your service may not be the only source of load...

Time out error on deploying to SAP-J2EE engine.
I got a problem while deploying to SAP-J2EE engine using ant. It takes a lot of time and then throws a time out error.
The problem is with the web.xml file pointing to a DTD in the internet, I have pasted some part of the web.xml below,
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
<!DOCTYPE web-app

<display-name>MyPay</display-name>
<description>MyPay</description>
Once I write down the DTD description in the web.xml itself, it works fine.
I have pasted the error trace below,

The problem seems to be with my system, because I had run the same ant script in another system and it deployed successfully.
The problem does not seem to be with the dtd, whereas it seems that the SAP-J2EE engine is not able to open the link to the dtd giving a time out error.
Is it possible to switch off the validation process of the SAP-J2EE engine of an xml with the dtd? -

The log says it went to short dump due to temp space issue.as its the source system job ,check in the source system side for temp table space and also check at the BI side as well.
Check with your basis regarding the TEMP PSA table space - if its out of space ask them to increase the table space and try to repeat the load.
Check the below note
Note 796422 - DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR during deletion of table BWFI_AEDAT

Time out error while running the FR report on Workspace
Hi,
We are working on Hyperion system 9.3.1 financial reporting with Essbase as a data source.
We have built a report, which has many computation, conditional formatting, suppression condtion.Report has around 100 columns.
Now when we are try to open this report on workspace, report is throwing the "Server time out" error meassage. error meassage is-
"The requested item could not be loaded by thr proxy. Timed out".
Reports are opening fine with less data or if essbase cube doesn't have any data.
Please suggest us on this issue. Do we need to set any setting at Essbase level or workspace level or any other way.
Any help will be appriciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Mohit JainI would suggest by saying that 100 columns seems quite a lot, you mention there are many computation columns, these should be pushed back onto the server to calculate.
We have also experienced issues where reports we pulling back lots of columns that were dynamically calculated.
To narrow down the actual problem you can try the following, the see if the report runs with the change, if not continue with the next steps:
- remove all formatting from the spreadsheet;
- remove all calculations from the spreadsheet;
- see if the report can be built more efficiently, by moving items to Grid POV or using same as, or reordering dimensions in inverse outline order;
If it still doesn't run, then try removing columns until it can run.
Cheers, Iain
