FAGL_FC_VAL - Valuation isnu00B4t working

Hi there,
I´m running the Foreign Valuation Currency report (t code FAGL_FC_VAL), but noted that there are some missing open item documents that don´t appear in the report. They exist, because I can see them in FBL1N, but not in the report.
Besides, there is some vendor invoices that don´t suffer Revalidation in foreign currency. Valuation difference and amount posted are zero. Could you help me why this problem is occurring?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You can only evaluate open items that not evaluated on the same valuation key date.
Valuation difference and amount posted are zero
It is depending on what valuation are that you have provided in FAGL_FC_VAL. Because Valuation Area connected to Valuation method where valuation procedure is configured. (TCode S_AL0_19000081)
GAAP (lowest value principle): only loss is accounted, not the gain. It means if there is foreign currency gain for the open item, then Valuation difference and amount posted are zero.
ISA (Always valuate): both loss and gain are accounted. If you want to valuate open items irrespective of whether there is gain or loss, you have to choose valuation area that connected to such valuation method. (Tcode - S_AL0_19000080)
Thanks,
Sukhbold

    Hi Team,
I got the below requirement from my user. But i dont think if the customer is marked for deletion the automatic payment run will work.
I need your advice and how to resolve this issue.
    Regards,
    Jana
    Can you please advice
if a customer is marked for deletion the automatic payment flow isn´t working (think in the past this flow still has worked)
the flag for deletion is mandatory in order to have correct hierarchy data - but nevertheless, payments still have to be processed.

  • FX Valuation FAGL_FC_VAL

    Dear Experts,
Foreign currency valuation is working for all BS accounts EXCEPT accounts for assets.
Accounts have been added to OBA1 KDF.
When tcode fagl_fc_val is executed, I receive message that "list contains no data".
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

When Asset is capitalised there is no question of revaluation of asset bassed on the exchange rate fluctuation.
There is already an existing liability for that asset whcih is valuated against Vauation/Transaction losses.
Hence the system will ignore these GL accounts for valuation as far as my understanding of the process goes.

  • 8KEN - Account determination for charging of valuation difference

    Hi Friends,
Could anyone please tell me briefly how and where the configuration done in transaction code 8KEN - (Account determination for charging of valuation difference) works? What I basically wanted to know once we maintain the configuration how we can test whether it is working properly or not.
    Regards,
    Sandip

    Hi,
    Refer the below thread
[Re: Accounting entries for Foreign currency revaluation..Accounting entries]
    From Vendor perspective :
If the monthly valudation is there then the entries will get posted against "Unrealised Gain  / Loss Account" with posting to "Balance Sheet Readjustment Account" also.
And if the final payment to be made to Vendor then the entry will get posted to the "Realised Gain / Loss account"

    Message no. FR008
    Diagnosis
In an evaluation that affects the financial statements, the posting for company code 211 and G/L account 15201001, in the amount of  2.028,00- INR, could not becarried out.
    System Response
The posting is entered in a batch input session.
    Procedure
Correct the error, for example, missing account determination, and run the batch input session.
This ensures that the postings and the evaluation difference noted in the documents agree again.
    My diagnosis:
I have checked all the configuration of FCV and its correct. i am not understanding why above error is appearing. Also i dont want to do it in batch run.

I have also created cost elements for above unrealised gain/loss account to which i have not assigned any cost centre.

  • Valuation class for service master

    Hi Guys,
I am trying for automatic G/L account determination for Service PO's. My issue i have to enter g/l code for each line item in the PO. I am not sure how the g/l account determination based on valuation class works for Service PO's
I have assigned the account category reference to the service category and to the valuation class 3200 i have assigned a g/l account for the key FRL.
Please let me know what I am missing?
    Thanks and regards,
    Siddharth M

    Hi Sidmi
The account assignment settings made for materials consumption will work for services also .
You do not need FRL for services (it's for sub-contracting)
Account category reference decides which all valuation classes can be used for a service category. It does not determine valuation class in a transaction (it's only checks with this setting).
If you want to determine GL account automatically in your txns, then you have following options:
    1) Spro>Material management>Purchasing>material master->entry aids for items without material master
For all the material groups you want to use for services , assign a valuation class here.
    2) If you maintain service masters, then you can assign valuation class in service master.
    Best regards
    Ramki

  • Update of Price in Material Master  when standard costing is released.

    Hello SAP gurus,
When we created standard cost estimate, various cost estimate is created in various views Cost of good sold, cost of good manufactured and Inventory ( commercial ). Different view have different cost estimate.
But we I release costing , the material master is updated by cost estimate of Inventory ( commercial). The cost estimate from Cost of good manufactured should be update?
I am not able to solve the above issue , please help with customizing link
    Regards,
    Anand Agrawal

    Hi Anand,
While you configure the Cost Componenet structure you define the attributes of cost Components in OKTZ.
When defining the cost components, you must specify whether the cost component plays a role in the creation of the different prices that are transferred into the material master record. You have the following options:
    Standard price
Costs that are flagged as relevant for stock valuation form part of the standard price if the results of the standard cost estimate are marked and released. These costs also serve as a basis for the following:
The calculation of target costs in variance calculation
The valuation of scrap in variance calculation
The valuation of work in process for the confirmed yield for the operation (order-related production, process manufacturing) or at the reporting point (repetitive manufacturing)
    Commercial price
Costs that are flagged as relevant for inventory valulation for the purposes of commercial law form part of the commercial price. This price is calculated in an inventory cost estimate and can be written to the material master record.
    Tax price
Costs that are flagged as relevant for inventory valuation for the purposes of tax law form part of the tax price. This price is calculated in an inventory cost estimate and written to the material master record.
The above information will prove helpful.

    Thanks,

    Dear Krishna Kumar Gee
Really your requirement is  Totally Different
As per my knowledge , Generally we have used one business process in case If material damaged any time again we used to Repair and we use to sell some thing different price That is Split valuation
So in your case you all ready sent Material to customer so he divided the stock into 3 Parts
so please check Split Valuation process works
Split Valuation Activation & its Material Master creation
    Split valuation..?

  • Significance of Preliminary cost estimate,

    Hi experts,
My clinet is using REM scenairo and in REM profile we have maintained "Backflush using standard cost estimate". My question is in this case what is the significance of preliminary cost estimate(PCE)? and I would able to confirm (MFBF) without running
    PCE.
Please let me know is it mandatory to run PCE in this case.
    Thanks in advance.
    Purushotham...

    Dear Puru,
WIP in REM is calculated at Target Cost. Valuation variant for target cost is generally preliminary cost estimate for the material and production version combination. However, if you want to valuate the work in process and scrap at the target costs calculated on the basis of a standard cost estimate, do not create a valuation variant for work in process and scrap. But it is always advisable to preliminary cost estimate in the target cost valuation strategy, because that is more accurate.
To conclude, you can always do away with creating a PCE for backflushing, but that is not what SAP suggests.

  • Re: SAP FX translation

While trying to run the new GL FX translation program FAGL_FC_TRANS, it keeps giving error message FR 588 (No financial statement version assigned to valuation area RI).
Not sure why it shows this error , as we have already assigned a Financial statement version  and financial item to the valuation area RI in IMG setting: General Ledger Accounting (New) ® Periodic Processing ® Valuate ® Foreign Currency Valuation ® Define Account Determination for Currency Translation.
Does anyone encounters this error before ?
    Regards
    SK

    Solved.
Took me long to come back to this and update, but my silly problem with the FAGL_FC_TRANS error (below)
No balance sheet/PL structure assigned to valuation area
    Message no. FR588
was solved by defining the correct missing FS Version "Define Valuation Area"
IMG -> FI (new) ->  GL (New) -> Periodic Processing ->Valuate -> Define Valuation Areas
I had more inconsistencies after this and thanks to Christian, we've applied the latest note you have mentioned. Currency valuation is working how we want to for us.

  • Results Analysis Keyu2019

What is the significance of u2018Results Analysis Keyu2019 parameter in process order?

    Hi,
RA Key that defines the valuation of the order during period-end closing.
How the results analysis key is used depends on the nature of the order.
For orders with revenue ( internal orders, sales orders, and projects), the results analysis key determines how results analysis is carried out.
Results analysis is recommended in the following situations:
When you are using a nonvaluated sales order stock or nonvaluated project stock and you want to valuate the inventories at the end of the period
When you are using a valuated sales order stock or valuated project stock and want to valuate goods that have been delivered but not yet invoiced, or when you want to create reserves automatically
For orders without reference to a sales order item or WBS element, the results analysis key determines how the work in process is calculated.
The production type can be make-to-stock or mass production on the basis of sales orders. The work in process is calculated at the level of the production order, process order, or product cost collector.
For capital investment measures, the results analysis key determines how the system calculates the values to be capitalized.
    Examples
For orders with revenue, costs may be incurred before any revenue is received. If you are using a nonvaluated sales order stock, results analysis enables you to report the costs as work in process. After the first revenue has been posted, you can calculate the cost of sales. If the calculated cost of sales is greater than the actual costs incurred to date, the system creates reserves for unrealized costs in the amount of the difference.
No revenue is posted in CO for orders without reference to a sales order item. Each goods receipt for these orders is valuated. The work in process for these orders can be calculated with two different methods:
Work in process at actual costs
The actual costs for production orders and process orders for which no delivery has taken place are reported as work in process. After a partial delivery, the difference between the debit of the order with actual costs and the credit of the order from goods receipts is reported as work in process. When the order is complete, this work in process is canceled. The difference between the debit and credit of the order is then interpreted by the system as a variance.
In Product Cost by Order, the work in process is usually valuated at actual costs.
A requirement for the valuation of work in process at actual costs is that the default rule PP1 (full settlement) must be specified in the order.
Work in process at target costs
A confirmation is made for each operation or at certain reporting points. The system uses the confirmations to determine the quantity of work in process. This quantity is valuated using the strategy sequence specified in the valuation variant for work in process and scrap.
In Product Cost by Period, the work in process is always valuated at target costs.
A requirement for the valuation of work in process at target costs is that the default rule PP2 (periodic settlement) must be specified in the order.
    Hope it is clear.

  • Process order variance calculation

    Hi All,
We have Sub- Assemblies which are currently set up in the system as purchased, sub-contracted sub-assemblies. this is how we will procure these the large majority of the time. There will be instances, however, where we will need to build them in house. but when we run cost estimate and mark and release sytem is using sub-contract Quantity structure in cost roll and when we producing we are using different Quantity structure like like BoM and Routing.at the time of variance calulation we are getting errors becuase of conflict in cost estimate Quantity structure and process order Quantity structure.
How can i solve this issue?any help is appreciated...
    I'm getting the following error..
    Message no. KV181
    Diagnosis
This message tells you which quantity structure was used by the cost estimate that calculated the target costs, and which quantity structure was used in the actuals.
The cost estimate that calculated the target costs did not use the quantity structure used in the actuals.
This means that the cost estimate used a different combination of task list type, task list group, and group counter than in the order itself (such as the production order).
    Example:
Suppose the target costs were calculated in the standard cost estimate for the material, and that the standard cost estimate for the material is based on the routing identified by task list type N, task list group 50000309, and group counter 1.
Now suppose the production order specifies a routing identified by task list type N, task list group 50000309, and group counter 2. This would lead to the error.
    System Response
The system cannot calculate target costs for the valuation of work in process or scrap.
    See also:
Routing/master recipe in actuals differs from qty structure for target
    Thanks,
    Anusha

    Hi,
Please check SAP Note 386816 for error KV181.
In general it is recommended to use the Cost estimate of the Process Order (Planned Cost Estimate) for the WIP at target calculation. In additional please pay attention to SAP Note 386816 which explains this procedure and which prerequisites must be met to calculate WIP at targets or the scrap variance. Even if the group counter of the routing is different you can still calculate WIP at targets but only if the message type of message KV181 is set to SPACE by Customizing settings.
Hope this will a bit help to you.
    Best regards, Takashi

  • Fagl_val error

we would like to know the difference between fagl_fc_val and fagl_fc_trans? which one should run first, under which situation, we need to run fagl_fc_trans?
we encounter an error during fagl_fc_val, it says:
    Incorrect account determination: 2230 0L 22700000
    Message no. FR257
    so how to resolve error

    Hi Siva,
The program fagl_fc_val valuates the open items posted in first local currency, whereas the program  fagl_fc_trans valuates for additional currencies (2nd or 3rd Local currency). It is not mandatory to execute the second program and is required to be executed only if you have additional currencies customised.
For the error check the configuration in OBA1 for transaction KDF or transaction OB09.

    Hi Experts,
I am working on ECC 6.0,
I am doing FCV run for customers only ( FAGL_FC_VAL) i have also posted couple of customer invoices using foreign currency (USD)  Doc date 15.12.2009, posting date : 15.12.2009, posting period :12...
I have configured FCV with Exchange rate maintainance, Exchange rate Type, Translation ratio, maintained Accounts and valuation area.
when i am trying to run FCV i have given valuation key date: 31.12.2009,valuation area: LV,batch input name,  document date 31.12.2009, posting date: 31.12.2009, posting period: 12, reversal posting period : 01.01.2010, reversal posting period: 1, checked create postings, valuate custmer open items and i have given customer account
when i do execution (f8) in amount posted column its showing zero (there is no exchange rate calculated)
can anyone tell why its not posted the difference amount, how to reveal this issue.
    Thanks in advance'
    Jerry

    Hi,
The reason is, there is no differences in the exchange rates, that is why system showing 0(Zero). Try to post the different exchange rate on 31.12.2009, then you can find the differences in FCV.
