  • Vista 32 - ipod not recognized, failed to install drivers, disconnecting

    Hi to all,
I have experienced a problem with my brand new Ipod classic 80GB and was flustrated by it. It took me some time ro research internet to find a fix for this problem and i would like to share it with you to have it at one place. If such article exists here i appologize, i did not find it myself.
    _The problem:_
Ipod in Windows Vista 32 *cannot find/install drivers*. Ipod shows up for couple of seconds and then *automaticaly disconnects*.
    Solution:
i have found solution that worked form me at this site
    [http://teknobabble.wordpress.com/2007/08/18/vista-driver-problems-installing-a- usb-media-reader-a-solution>
Thanks to the autor of this article and i hape this helps some of you having the same problem as i had

Can you be specific as to what drivers are not installing? An issue that can be had when doing PNPEnum is that child devices of something that does not have a driver installed are not visible to the PNPEnum. A way to get around that is you can force the
injection of drivers that are not getting installed. Something like you can add a second Inject Driver step but, have it be a selection profile of drivers that always get missed because they are children.

  • Can no longer install drivers and touch screen not working anymore

I have the HP 520-1130ea all in one PC. Its a touchscreen. I have Windows 7 home premiun 64 bit operating system.
it has been working fine for the last two years and on Friday 11th april, i connected my android tablet (samsung Galaxy tab 7.0) to my pc and it could not install the drivers so my PC could not see the tablet.  Last week this worked ok. I attach my tablet to my pc using a USB cable and transfer files by usb transfer. I dont use any software at all.
I have tried to reinstall the drivers for the android tablet and i get the error code that the drivers were found but they cant be installed. Access denied.
I have also tried to restore my pc to the last time everything worked ok which was just a week before the problem started, but the restore has failed on 4 occassions.
I have now deleted all updates on my PC from last week and i think I have deleted something or failed to allow something to isntall (a box popped up when i restarted the computer after the update delete which I ignored)
No my touch screen no longer works.
I plugged in an external hard drive to back up my computer and I also could not install the drivers for that too. this just happened today.
My printer is connected to my PC and that still works ok.
I have been battling with this for 4 days now and ploughed the internet for solutions and no hope in sight!
    I have also tried:
    1. installing optional updates. no luck there. also some of the updates failed
    2. giving myself full control on the system 32 folder in windows.
I am the administrator on the PC.
    HELP PLS!!!

    Hi compnewbie,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
Thank you very much for your thorough post and detailed steps! I see that you are not being able to install drivers, and I would be happy to assist you!
The first suggestion I will make is to boot your computer in Safe Mode. To do this, please follow this document on Windows 7 Safe Mode. No extra software will be loaded, which will make this driver issue easier to troubleshoot. In Safe Mode, try to connect your external drive.
If you still cannot connect your external drive (or any other USB device), I recommend following this resource on Testing for Hardware Failures (Windows 7). This should help diagnose any potential hardware problems with the computer.
If you are not able to detect any hardware problems on your computer, please follow this document on Restore files from a backup.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, and I will diligently follow up with you!
    Best regards

  • Xmod not auto-installing drivers under Windows XP 64-

The specs list support for Windows XP 64-bit, but when I tell it to automatically find and install drivers it says it can't find the necessary drivers. Creative support said they don't have stand-alone drivers for this and that it "should work".
Can anyone please help? The Xmod shows up in Device Manager with a yellow exclimation mark.
    Thanks!!

  • Can't install drivers. unknown error

    gents,
I suddenly can't install drivers so that my new iLok and my Logitech USB-Dongle aren't working. I did a backup of all drivers from another Win7x64 systemdrive and extracted them. The Drivers were working on that system and am there.
Still I got a FILE NOT FOUND or similar error.
I checked the SETUPAPI.DEV.LOG which I copied below. Can anyone see what's the problem with the iLok driver f.e. ?

  • Re-installing drivers & certain programs - How to do this in Lion?

Re-installing drivers & certain components/programs - How does one do this in Lion?
I believe I know how to do this in Windows, i.e. in Device manager for drivers etc. which can be helpful as often that can cure some problems in windows. However in OS X Lion I am clueless. If there is an easy way of doing this then there's no harm trying and would be a far better solution than the dreaded full system re-installation which is the final straw and the absolute last resort.
I'm in need of some possible solution to help fix the many problems I'm having with both OS X 10.7.3 and my Thunderbolt Display. I wont list them all here, but first of many on the list will be the sound dissapearing from my Thunderbolt Display (with MacBook Pro early 2011 in clamshell mode), this often happens after a resume from 'Sleep' but can happen from a boot and sometimes from other instances. Other problems are Bluetooth connections having trouble, WiFi issues, past backups in Time machine not accessible when attempting to click on them in the 'space time travel window' when you enter Time Machine mode and the list goes on.
Therefore how could one re-install OS X Lion components/programs & drivers? doing this for the MacBook Pro system sound and/or my Thunderbolt Display just maybe could get it working.

As a rule I only post after trying many many possible fixes to the best of my ability. Failing that I then search the forums and can only rely on what the search results return; then based on what the search engine returns I then read other posts, if their problems and issues have not been completely addressed, answered, or any partial resolve they received didn't quite resolve my problem.. then I post to the forum.
This post is asking the question: if and how I could reinstal certain drivers and also if and how to reinstall any relating system components (i.e. like time machine program); just in case they have been corrupted in some way because reparing permisions, verifying disk, checking file structure, checkin B-Tree structure, checking bitmap disk structure, etc and everything else, has not worked. Sometimes, the reinstalling an entire program/app/driver method can often cure some occassional issues encountered in windows, therefore the question here is how to possibly do that. But in anticipation that other members may ask WHY, I have given some mere examples for their reference in the often instance that they may ask and therefore to save time replyng that before maybe being fortunate enough to have a helpful reply that may actually acheive a problem to the solution.
The fact that I have some othere posts which haven't been answered is testiment to the fact that I have exhausted all other possibilities in finding a genuine solution to any problems and they are real issues that haven't been got around to having genuine fix yet therefore no one knows of a solution (but I don't know this until I post and when later no one has an answer). It's also a last resort for me to take the time to draft and then submit a thread as I'm not the best person in the world for writing posts and besides am sadly often hesitant and put off by what can appear at times as occassionaly cold, frosty and familiarly unwelcome reception in some instances where often an issue is too easily dismissed and other advice is given not relating to the problem such as "to limit my post" and "posting again in the right discussion". As explained above, my post is limited to the question of how to possibly re-install drivers/programs in Mac OS X Lion which I thought this discussion board was for, all the rest 'pre-answers' for reference any potential questions of why I would want to do so (as often is the case ) therefore this gives them more info relating to the issue before answering... and secondly as just mentioned, I believed as the question relates to possible procedural operations within OS X Lion operating system (reinstalling system drivers & relevant program components), therefore this discussion board appeared to be appropriate.
Lastly I too was of the opinion and quite proud of the fact that it appeared there are many things that you do not have to do in OS X that unfortunately has to be done from time to time in Windows to cure problems such as reinstalling drivers occassionally; however the problems I'm posting are very real and some/most still currently un-addressed, but I try and remain positive that eventually they can be resolved because I enjoy using them.

  • Problem installing drivers on my HP Photosmart Premium C310a

For some reason, out of the blue my printer stopped printing from the computer.  After going through the HP Troubleshooting and being told to download updated drivers, I have downloaded and tried to install drivers for my wireless C310a printer but keep getting told that the installation failed because it can't locate the C:\Users\Jeanelle\AppData\Local\Temp\7zS655A\Setup\hpqbhp01.exe
I don't think I can use the solution provided using the cd since it is a wireless printer and never used the cd to initially set up and install the printer in the first place. I appreciate your assistance in addressing this problem.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Hello luvridinghorses!
I will do my best to help you to get your printer printing again. Based on the information you have provided, the error indicates the installation is looking for a folder in your "temp" files which is where downloads go. I think you may have success using the software disc that came with the printer if you still have it.  Give it a try and if that doesn't help you, what is the operating system of the computer you are trying to install this printer on and what is the printer's IP address?
Don't forgot to say thanks by giving "Kudos" if I helped solve your problem.

  • HT2305 I have a new computer with Windows 8 OS.  Do I need to install drivers so that my Ipod Nano will sync with this new computer:

My daughter gave me a new Ipod (Nano) for Christmas.  I had no problem download my songs from my old Ipod (Shuffle) to the new one.  However - since I do not buy songs on a regular basis, I did not buy a new song until 4/29/13.  Now for information...sometime in March my old laptop died, completely.  I had to go buy a new one - which I did and this new one has Windows 8 Operating System on it (which I hate, btw).
Now, when I bout a song on Tuesday, the song did not go to my new Ipod.   I tried everything and finally had to talk to a tech - who was very kind in helping me and we did get all my songs from Itunes to this new computer.  I thought the song I bought would then go on the Ipod - but it did not.  I had already hung up from the tech - since we had been talking on the phone for about an hour.  He informed me that he was giving me a "courtesy break" because it has been over 90 days since my new Ipod was purchased ---- just my darn luck!
Anyway, I have figured out on my own that the new Ipod Nano is not synced with the new laptop with Windows 8.  I have been trying for the last 2 hours to get it to do so and in doing so, found out that Windows 8 is not mentioned in any of the help forums.  So...my question is:  Do I need to install drivers on the computer or what?  I will not be purchasing anymore music from Itunes until I get this matter resolved.  Any help will be apreciated. Thank you.

  • Problem with installing drivers Audig

I re-installed my PC today, but I can't get my SoundBlaster installed properly.
I downloaded the latest driver for my Audigy 2 on Windows XP SP2:
    SBAX_WBUP2_LB_2_09_006.exe
After the installation process on the final Windows reboot it ends with a generic critical failure. The drivers seem installed, my PC finds the Audigy 2 after installation, but the control console doesn't appear, nor am I able to find it in the Creative directory. I do get sound, can play MP3's etc and hear game sounds, although I am not 00% sure whether eax is working properly.
I also tried to install the old drivers from the CD-ROM, which worked. When I use the auto-update afterwards and the driver is installed the console is still there, but doesn't work anymore with reporting that: no soundcard installed/found or something like that.
I tried a couple times and with driver cleaning in between etc, but can't get it working.
Is the current driver broken or do you have some advice on what to do?

it's possible that you don't have nvidia graphic adapter.
for bluetooth issue, make sure you switch the button ( probably front side of your computer ) and activate bluetooth by pressing fn + f5 ( activate it )
after then, if you have bluetooth device, you can install drivers.

  • IPod Nano (4GB) Not Installing Drivers

I ran the installer software on the installation CD and re-booted as instructed.
On re-boot Install Shield dialog box comes up does something and then goes away. Boot continues normally.
Checked iPod Service and it is running.
Plugged in iPod and Windows tells me that it has found new hardware and wants to install drivers. Device Manager shows "iPod" under "Other Devices." I let it search for drivers but it doesn't find them.
How do I get the driver installed!?!
    Thanks.

hmmmm. ipods use the standard Windows USB mass storage drivers. so if it's asking for drivers at that stage of proceedings, the techniques in this MarkJones post might be of some help:

Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer
Reads the error message I purchased an RaLink USB Wireless adapter IEEE 802.11 b installed in an XP Pro system, an Intel D925XEBC2 MB with A P4 CPU 3.80 GHZ
I have 4 gigs of RAM installed but it reads only 2.87 RAM on system properties
I installed the RaLink Drivers and the Ralink interface. I get a strong signal and see that the wifi is there but cannot connect. The 1394 Net adaptor #2 is showing as is the USA wireless card
I was asked to install the PIN which I assumed meant the network security but my keyboard will only input numbers not the letters, otherwise the keyboard operates properly on notepad but not on the RaLink software
Under other devices it shows  both the Ethernet controller and the Network controller with a question mark "?".
I have tried uninstalling and starting the computer several times but they will not install correctly.
The windows interface shows no wi fi system at all. After going back and forth now both windows and the RaLink interface shows no wifi system.
When I went to https://downloadcenter.intel.com/detail_desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=18717  and downloaded the 32 bit file and tried to install it I got the error.

    Hi there,
you're in the wrong forum, but I'll try to guide you.
(a better forum for your question would likely be this:
    http://social.answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/networking?tab=Threads )
Your RALink wireless adaptor is not manufactured by Intel, that's why Intel driver download won't help you.
You need to go here (RALink is now Mediatek) to get the drivers for your adaptor
    http://www.mediatek.com/en/downloads/
    Good luck! :)

  • HT5628 After running bootcamp, DVD drive is detected by Windows 8. But after installing drivers, no longer can detect. Device Manager shows that DVD drive is unplugged! Drivers in Bootcamp "removed" the DVD drive!

After running bootcamp, DVD drive is detected by Windows 8. But after installing drivers, no longer can detect. Device Manager shows that DVD drive is unplugged! Drivers in Bootcamp “removed” the DVD drive. I think there is an issue because I reinstalled Windows 8. If I don't install driver, then I have reduced functionality (no Apple keyboard, no sound etc), but once I install driver, I lose my DVD drive.

Hi, guys, I have had the exact same problem since the summer of 2010. Here's what I was able to find out.
Deleting upper/lower filters, running all those Fix Ya programs and other Microsoft crap is useless. This problem is most certainly has nothing to do with registry of any software on your computer. I took my HP 9620us to a couple of repair places and, they tried a lot of things and it appears that the root of this problem is a faulty motherboard connection. Of course, it costs about 400 bucks to fix it so I'm not sure I want to pay this kind of money.
Anyway, if somebody was able to fix it PLEASE post here to let us know. Again I am 99 per cent sure it's some piece of hardware in the motherboard.

  • Officejet 7500A installing drivers, missing dll file, can't scan

I have a new laptop with Windows 7 Professional, using first the cd, I installed drivers to use my Officejet 7500a on my wireless network, during installation it said it could not find file HPWia2_OJ7500_E910.dll and asked if I wanted to continue.  I did and in the end could not set up the scanner.  So per HP website and uninstalled all software and reinstalled, this time from the HP site.  Same exact thing occurred.  Again, worked through the process and uninstalled and reinstalled drivers again, same problem, "can't find file".  Scanner is the one thing that doesn't work.  Printer appears to work fine but I really need to scan as well.  Thank you in advance for your assistance.
