Fault Namespace is empty after migrated to SOA 11g
Details:
Java/EJB WSIF call is not working in Weblogic 11g for fault scenarios. The namespace is empty("") in weblogic 11g but namespace is coming correctly in Oracle OC4J 10g. We also tried the EJB Services instead of WSIF. An EJB services is also not working for fault cases.
OAS10g(OC4J) fault:

Hi Pablo,
Thanks For the reply.
we are using DB adapter which will poll on table,that means this is the service which creates the bpel instance.
the only prob we are facing is sometimes BPEL instances are never comeout from the RUNNING state and error its showing error as"The transaction was rolled back. The work performed for bpel instance "290086" was rolled back to the previous dehydration point, but the audit trail has been saved.You can recover the instance from the recovery console by resubmitting the callback message or activity for execution"
Oracle suggested this problem occurs when you are using Synchronous processes. increase the timeout settings.
DB adapter Polling is always Asynchronous?
can you just share your thoughts on this..

Sudha

Configuration Frozen Error after migrating to Weblogic 11g console extensio
We are using the console extension property of weblogic.
The jar used to deploy the same works fine with weblogic9 but gives the below error after migrating to Weblogic 10.3
The project also uses struts-Tiles configuartion. Is there any specific configuration to do after migration with respect to console extension?????

1. the error does not occur if the base table does not have rowSelection=”single”
2. the error does not occur if the base table has rowSelection=”single” but the popup is raised with showPopupBehavior
3. the error only occurs when the base table has rowSelection=”single” and we call the popup as inline popup (taskFlow with jsf page)
I could not reproduce the error on a newly created application in Jdevelope 11.1.2.1, it only happens to migrated applications.
We can not give up to rowSelection=”single” because of master-detail structures.

What do you recommend if local mail folders empty after migration?
I have successfully migrated user data from old macbook to new macbook (both mavericks). However, my local mail folders are only empty folders. Did anything go wrong? I could simply export and import them from the old macbook, I know. I can probably also easily retrieve them from my backups. I just wonder whether anyone else had experienced this and what you recommend as best procedure now. Looking forward to your replies!
Oops... found the solution:
I select folder by folder, go to the mailbox menu and select rebuild. Mails are all appearing again! -
Registering External Fault Policy(s) with a Composite in SOA 11g
Hi
I was wondering whether it is possible to register more than one external fault policy with a composite. I have loaded some fault policies into my database backed MDS store. I have added a fault-bindings.xml file locally to teh composite to indicate which components I want to use which policy. this file resembles:
<composite faultPolicy="bpelSynchronousProcessingFaults"/>
<component faultPolicy="mediatorSynchronousProcessingFaults">
<name>MediatorRouting</name>
</component>
I have also added to the composite.xml file the respective imports / properties to identify the location of the fault policy files and the fault bindings. These resemble:
</service>
<property name="oracle.composite.faultPolicyFile">oramds:/apps/fault-policies/fault-policies-med-sync.xml</property>
<property name="oracle.composite.faultPolicyFile">oramds:/apps/fault-policies/fault-policies-bpel-sync.xml</property>
<property name="oracle.composite.faultBindingFile">fault-bindings.xml</property>
<component name="MediatorRouting">
For a test I have the BPEL component using one and the mediator component using another, both within the same composite. Depending on the order of the 2 properties shown above, only one is registered. This being the second one.
Is it possible to register more than one policy in this way? I have been unable to get both working at the same time. Each works independently if I only register one of them. I want keep the fault policies external to the composites to allow them to be re-used appropriately across composites within an SOA project
My thinking is, in order to be able to have differing policies effecting different components within a composite i'd have thought it would have been possible to define more than one external policy for a composite. However it appears this is not the case as it only registers or atleast works with the last policy in an import. Also placing the files locally within the composite with differing names has no impact.
Therefore i'm assuming (unless I have configured these incoorectly) there is no option to have multiple fault policies for a composite. Therefore there is no ability to define a different policy per component within a composite
Kind Regards
DaveUsing the fault binding attach your fault policy to particular component. See example below.Use the tag <component faultPolicy="ServiceFaults">

Empty BPEL Process in SOA 11g.
HI,
We created all bpel processes using Empty BPEL Process template Available in the jdeveloper. Then we add AQ adapter to read the data and calling some third party webservices.
Is empty Bpel Processes option act as synchronous or asynchronous?
as for my understanding its always act as a asynchronous.
Please clear my doubt.Hi Pablo,
Thanks For the reply.
we are using DB adapter which will poll on table,that means this is the service which creates the bpel instance.
the only prob we are facing is sometimes BPEL instances are never comeout from the RUNNING state and error its showing error as"The transaction was rolled back.

I am currently testing our website with CF11. It is currently working with CF8 however after migrating it to a new server running CF11 I have encountered the following error.

I migrate an application from JSC2 EA2 to JSC2 final release
In one of my page (first page that i check after migration) I have some text field.
In a button action i used those textfields Text for some processing.
Now after i press submit key (whether text boxes are full or empty) i get null pointer exception when i try to access the textfields text
by using getTextField1().getText().toString()
can any one say where i have mistaken in my migration plane ?
ThanksHi,
Suggest to replace all butttons using FCS version.
There was some change from EA to FCS for buttons.
e.g. if you have multiple buttons on a Page that was created using EA
then the wrong action handler will get called

Problem with method action after migrating from TP2 to TP4
Hi,
we are migrating our application (ADF Faces, ADF BC) from TP2 to TP4. We have encountered several problems.
The biggest that we could not solve is as following:
In our View Object's RowImpl.java classes we have method void refreshLOVAccessorQueries(). In a number of View Objects that method is placed in client interface. In pageDefs of jspx pages that are bound to that View Objects we have method action like
<methodAction IterBinding="TeeCronTtVOIterator"
id="refreshLOVAccessorQueriesCron"
InstanceName="bindings.TeeCronTtVOIterator.currentRow"
DataControl="TradingAppModuleDataControl"
RequiresUpdateModel="true" Action="invokeMethod"
MethodName="refreshLOVAccessorQueries"
IsViewObjectMethod="false" IsLocalObjectReference="true"/>
and invoke action like
<invokeAction id="refreshCronLOVs" Binds="refreshLOVAccessorQueriesCron"
Refresh="prepareModel"
RefreshCondition="#{!requestContext.postback and empty bindings.exceptionList}"/>
When we are accessing such a jspx page the application rases error:
"Method bindings.TeeCronTtVOIterator.currentRow.refreshLOVAccessorQueries() not supported "
In TP2 everything worked fine. Now in TP4 for some VO that refresh is OK and for others just mentioned error is thrown. Confusing is that all View Objects and their java classes are created in the same manner and they are almost identical, and this counts for pageDefs too.
What could be the reason of all this?
Second thing is that in adfc-config.xml in backing bean defs we have managed-property like:
<managed-bean>
<managed-bean-name>regionBacking</managed-bean-name>
<managed-bean-class>app.view.backing.RegionBacking</managed-bean-class>
<managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope>
<managed-property>
<property-name>bindings</property-name>
<value>#{bindings}</value>
</managed-property>
</managed-bean>
JDeveloper warn us about that with: ' EL token bindings" is unknown '. Why is that? It looks that everything connected with that managed property works fine.
Another problem is not severe but unpleasant
After migration to TP4 nothing (not one element) is visible (shown) in the design view.
The structure of the pages is similar as in the StoreFrontDemo and it shows just fine in TP2.
Thanks!!!Thanks Frank,
but working from beginning is to much work so, we have solved it in another way.
Regard to first problem we discovered that it is happening only when there is no Rows in iterator for which we are invoking action. In invoke action we have changed refresh property to default value and the problem is solved.
Second thing is warning that has no other effect so we will ignore it.
About third problem, when we create new working copy of application in JDeveloper without system11.1..... directory, JDev works fine and all jspx pages are shown in design view. After some work, due to undiscovered reason design view is lost... What could cause this?

My ''clever mail boxes'' are empty after installing mavericks
Hello,
I work on an Imac 27" 16GB ram OS X 10.9
After migration from OS X 10.8 to 10.9 everything looks well with no missing email in any account no emails problems but my clever mails boxes are now empty! all intelligent boxes are completely empty!
When I use the ''search'' it works just for the first results, but not for the details !! Because when I choose one of the proposed research results, it gives me always a blank page!
Outside the Mail software, Spotlight works really very well
I checked if nothing was fired in spotlight I made several rebuilding the spotlight index, but the problem persists, I do not know what to do?
Does someone has an idea? thank you
Thank youHello
Thanks a lot !!!
I had a look of what you wrote and I have found the problem
In the spotlight system preferences, mail was checked in the
search results, but library was not in the " confidentiality " or
"Privacy" tab

Problems with saving after Migration on ApEx 2.2
Hi,
we migrated from HTMLDB 2.0 to ApEx 2.2.
Now our end-users have problems.
They want to save their changes and after pressing the change button an empty page appears.
So they go back with the internet explorer back-button and press the save button again. Now the changes are saved in the database.
Does anybody have the same problem?
Is there a solution to fix this problem?
Thank you in advance
UlrikeYes thank you very much. This is the solution.
But it's a pitty that we have to change the CSV endcoding option for all our applications after migration manually.
Kind regards Ulrike -
Missing Index entries after Migrating Repository from 1.3.2 to 9i
Hi,
We have migrated our repository from 1.3.2 to 9i.
Index entries were created for both the Primary keys and Foreign keys.The indexes were created by us and not by designer.
After migration to 9i the index entries for primary and Foreign are missing in the design editor.When we generate a table we get an error because these index entries are missing.
Does designer 9i support index entries?Or How are indexes handled by designer 9i?To clarify, your index entries were in the database but NOT defined in Des 1.3.2 model? Because if they were in the model, then I'd look back at your intermediate migration definitions to make sure the indexes were still defined properly in there.
In Des 2.1/6.0/6i/9i/10g, Indexes are a separate sub-element (SACs) for a Table Definition. They don't have to be associated with a key structure. And in newer database versions, a PK / UK has an implicit index constructed for it in the database, so Designer doesn't bother showing you the Index in the model. Just the PK or UK itself (again, these are also separate SACs).
And it's not clear where you're getting the error. During the generate? Or during the instantiation into a database? Neither situation is a common fault. -
After migration, from PC, files are now shared between two user accounts.I have to switch users to access files. How can I combine them into one account?

After migrating data from Time Machine, some of my photos are not showing up in iPhoto LIbrary view. I get a 'dashed rectangle." When I click on it I get ' ! in a Triangle" When I click on that, I actually can see the photo. I want to see all my photos in 'Library' view, and I can't figure out how these photos seem to be arbitrarily hidden. Help, please.
Try these for the first attempt:
First be sure to have a backup copy of the library if you already don't have one.
