FCHR is posting a document with exchange rate

Hi,
I was trying to update check encashment date using FCHR for a company code for Canada. This posted a document with the currency difference on USD.
Is this a right behavior?
Thanks & Regards,
Raji.

Hi Ravi,
Thank you for your reply.
If actual document is posted in USD when the company code curr is CAD, then FCHR will also take USD and do the posting with the gain or loss.
If the actual document is posted in CAD, then FCHR will take CAD and there wont be any additional posting.
Is that what you say?
Best Regards,
Raji.

    HiI
f you set this selection field then the settings in the ERD Setting column for this currency type are no longer relevant. The system calculates and posts exchange rate differences between order-related goods receipts and invoices not just for materials with standard price, but also for:
    Materials with moving average price
    Account-assigned transactions
    Planned delivery costs
The valuation of the inventories or consumption is effectively done at the exchange rate for the goods receipt, and not at the exchange rate of the invoice. When you post the good receipts, the fixed exchange rate from the purchase order is not used, but the translation of the purchase order values to local currency is always done at the posting date of the goods receipt.
If you are using the material ledger with actual costing, the system does not include the posted exchange rate differences at period-end closing in the actual prices of the materials.

  • Problem while 're-posting' a cancelle Invoice with Exchange Rate Difference

    Hi Gurus,
We are facing a problem while re-posting an Invoice with Exchange Rate Difference. I say re-posting because this invoice was previously posted and reversed on the same date. Here is the scenario along with the relevant postings:
    1)
G/R is posted in September when the exchange rate for dollar was, say, Rs. 49 = 1 USD.
    Posting:
    Service A/C.....100 USD (Rs. 4900)
         To SR/IR Clearing A/C...100 USD (Rs. 4900)
    2)
MIRO is done in October, when the exchange rate was, say, Rs. 48 = 1 USD. Thus, the exchange difference posting was done in the respective accounts.
    Posting:
    SR/IR Clearing A/C......100 USD (Rs. 4900)
To Vendor A/C...........90 USD (Rs. 4320)
To TDS A/C..............10 USD (Rs.  480)
To Exch. Difference A/C. 0 USD (Rs.  100)
This was the correct entry, however we missed out some TDS codes and thus needed to reverse this entry and repost it.
    3)
Now this invoice was reversed (T.Code MIRO) in october itself on exactly the same date on which invoice was created, and it resulted in the following postings:
    Vendor A/C......90 USD (Rs. 4320)
    TDS A/C.........10 USD (Rs.  480)
         To SR/IR Clearing A/C...100 USD (4800, i.e. 48 * 100, Rs.48 being the exchange rate in october)
    4)
Now when we try to post MIRO again, it is posting the following entry:
    SR/IR Clearing A/C......97.96 USD (Rs. 4800)
Exch. Difference A/C.....2.04 USD (Rs.    0)
         To Vendor A/C........... 85 USD (Rs. 4080)
         To TDS1 A/C............. 10 USD (Rs.  480)
         To TDS2 A/C.............  5 USD (Rs.  240)
This is a wrong entry. SR/IR clearing A/C should have been debited by 100 USD (Rs. 4900), and the Exch. Rate difference account should have been credited by 0 USD (Rs. 100)
Can someone please help us with this. What the system seems to be doing is, that when the Invoice was reversed, the value that got reversed for SR/IR Clearing A/C was 100 USD but with Rs. 4800 instead of Rs. 4900. Now, when we try to repost the invoice, the system divided this value by the exchange rate prevalent in September, i.e. Rs. 49, thus the resultant value 97.96 USD (i.e.  4800 / 49).
    Please help.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Angad Nagpal

    Solved.
The final entry is correct, as the net result in the G/L balances is the same. For further information please refer to notes 116250 and 46564.
    Thanks!

  • How to post gain/loss on exchange rate from Money Market

    Dear Sap Expert,
I need your kindly help about posting gain/loss in Treasury with money market type.
My scenario use the product type 55A  - Interest rate instrument  and transaciton type = 200 borrowing in Foreign currency transaction as the transaction as belows,
Date                   Flow Type     Name                       Amouunt      currency     Exchange rate         Amt.Local currency
    19.10.2011         1105             Borrowing               10,000            USD               30.00                       300,000
    30.10.2011         1120             Final repayment       10,000            USD               30.00                      300,000
For the normally the system generate current exchange rate from the configuration .After that I try to change the Exchange rate manually in Flow type 1120 from 30.00 to be 31.00  then  the Amt.in Local currency changed to be 310,000 and the flow type gain/loss from exchange rate does not generate ( In Loan Management I can do it)
        On 19.10.2011 I use t-code TBB1 to post the borrowing transaction (1105)
On 30.10.2011 I use T-code TBB1 to post the Payment transaction but the gain/loss account does not happen.
For my question Can the system post  document for flow tpe 1120 (on 30.10.2011) with exchange rate realized gain/Loss automatically? or how should I do to make it correctly.
Thank you very much for your suggestion.

    Hi,
your customizing for Derived Business Transactions requires DBT_B flows in your PMP in order to post realized gains/losses.

  • Problem with exchange rate GBP/EUR

    Hi everyone,
I have an issue regarding 2 documents that have been posted the same date (31.05.2011) but with different exchange rates.
The first doc is type ZP, posted with exchange rate GBP/EUR=0,88XXX (entry date: 26.05.2011, T.Code: F110)
The second one is type BK, posted with exchange rate GBP/EUR=0,87XXX (entry date: 01.06.2011, T.Code: FB01)
Both documents use the same exchange rate type EURX.
I checked in OBA7,  there is no default value for the field "Exchange rate type for foreign currency docs" in both cases.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Soumaya

    Hi,
If the exchange rate is maintained in OB08 once a month, and in the meanwhile, if you are trying to post any transaction with foreign currency, the system would pick the last available/maintained rate in the table. For Eg: if the rate is maintained upto 30.04.2011 with 0,88XXX and if you have made a document with ZP with posting date as 31.05.11, the system would pick the rate of 30.04.2011 only as there is no rate maintained as on 31.05.11 on the date of transaction. And later, if you would have maintained the exchange rates for the entire month for the individual day of May, and when you processed a document type BK, the system would have picked the actual rate maintained in OB08 as on 31.05.11 ie 0,87XXX. Hence may be the difference.
Please check whether the above was the scenario with you (by referring to the changes option referred by the experts).
    Regards
    Hari

  • How to get link b/w FAGL_FC_VAL documents and Exchange rate loss&gain g/l

    Hi experts,
pls tell me link b/w FAGL_FC_VAL documents and Exchange rate loss & gain g/l documents.pls provide me the table name and field names.
    Regards,
    Viswanadh

    Hi,
I think you have been looking for link between FAGL_FC_VAL document created at the time of foreign currency valuation and document created at the time of realization (loss or profit booked). There should not by any link between the two, please note that these two will be differnt figures as realization is based on exchange rate at the time of realization and valuation is based on the rate prevailing at the time of valuation. Also valuation gets reversed on key date + 1 which woulld essentially mean that valuation is done for reporting purposes only.
    Hope this helps!!!

also but there is no use. U please suggest me any config things i was left.

The system behaviour you are describing is the correct one. Please,
kindly consider the information contained under the attached note:
191927 - Posting logic: GR for foreign currency PO.
    As stated in it:
Postings to the material stock account (BSX):
In order to be able to determine the value of the stock posting, the
valuation methods which exist in the material master in local currency
(standard price, total value of stock) must be converted into document
currency. This translation is thus carried out on the posting date with
the exchange rate type that is assigned to the FI document type used,
that is, independent from the exchange rate defined in the purchase
    order!
If no exchange rate type is assigned to an FI document type, the system
    uses exchange rate type M.
Please, check in your system the settings stored in the customizing
transaction OBF4 for the document type WE (Goods receipt). If the field
'Exch.Rate Type for foreign currency documents' is empty, the exchange
    rate type M is used.
The fixed conversion rate in the purchase order refers to the valuation
approach in the purchase order and, therefore, to the costs for the
purchased material. Therefore, the posting amount to the GR/IR clearing
account (WRX) is converted according to the fixed conversion rate in the
    purchase order header.
On the other side the fixed conversion rate in the purchase order is not
designed for converting the posting values to the material stock account
(BSX). This conversion reflects the situation of the valuation of the
material stock and is therefore designed to be independent of the
conversion rate defined in the purchase order. This is what note 191927
    outlines.
Therefore, in the standard system behaviour, the cancellation does not
really recalculate the currency translation, but uses the Purchase
    Order history instead:
.- If there was only one Goods Receipt, the WRX is supposed to be the
the same for 102 as it was for 101.
.- If there were several Goods Receipts with different exchange rate
values, then, the WRX for the 102 will be done with the average
value, just as the also attached note 49995 describes.
The currency translation for the stock value is done within the MM-IM
function pool MBGB (MB_CALCULATE_VALUES etc.). It is always done using
currency type M and the posting date. We never use another date or
    rate there.
    Hope the information help.

  • How to post the revenue on exchange rate in SAP ?

    Hi All,
a Company gets a g.l. bank account in USD (account currency). The local currency is EUR.
2010.01.01: its balance was 9.527,23 USD (account currency). Given a currency exchange rate 1 USD x 1,4406 EUR, the amount of the account in local currency was 6.613,38 EUR.
2010.01.15: the bank account is closed. Given a currency exchange rate 1 USD x 1,4374 EUR, the amount of the account in local currency is 6.628,10 EUR
When the account bank is closed the balance in local currency  is 14,72 EUR -
2010.01.01 --> 9.527,23 USD (account currency); 6.613,38 EUR (local currency).
2010.01.15 --> 9.527,23 USD (account currency); 6.628,10 EUR (local currency).
20.01.15: in local currency I've to post a revenu of 14,72 EUR
Could anyone tell me which account posting I've to do for this revenue?
    Thanks

The differemce is due to exchange rate difference post the difference in a new g/l name it exchange rate diff. revenue account for more read below:
    Exchange Rate Rounding Differences
When an invoice is posted in a foreign currency, the amounts are translated into local currency. Since the system rounds off the amounts in each posting line, this can lead to rounding differences due to the currency translation.
These differences are posted to an expense or income account.
During the document check, the system displays a posting line for the corresponding account.

  • Problem with Exchange rate field in MBEPOH in 4.7

    Hi Experts,
I am working on data transfer of POs from 4.6 to 4.7 using the standard extract program RM06EEEX and then loading it using LSMW.

    Hi
In you queries....are you using any calculated key figures?
There is a option in calculated key figures to maintain currency conversion at the query level.   So if you are using a calculated keyfigures go to the properties of the calculated keyfigure and key figure in query....all the properties you have option of giving currency conversion...........uncheck them and execute the query
    Assign points if useful

  • Issue with Exchange rate valuation Account

    Hi Experts,
We have one issue.. Our user has run the foreigh currency valuation in Transaction F.05 from year 2005 to 2009. But now there is one issue. The Foreign currency exchange rate valuation gl has not setup the open item check box. Due to this issue, all line items are open in Account.
Could you please take it up as High Priority issue and suggest me.
    Reg
    Raj.

    Hello,
If in G/L account master data, open line item is not checked, You can activate open line items management for G/L account.
If you don't use new GL, please run RFSEPA02 program with using SE38. If you use new G/L please refer OSS note 175960 "RFSEPA02/03 not supported as of Release 4.5A. What can I do? "
If your SAP version 603, you can run transaction FAGL_ACTIVATE_OP for activation open line items.
Otherwise, If you don't have to valuate foreign currency with open line item, you can valuate balance for G/L accounts.
I hope, I got your question correctly.

  • Problem with Exchange rate in PO

    Hello all,
We have created a new exchange rate in SAP System. When we are creating a PO, the system is calculating the price by considering the new customized exchange rate which is correct. But while doing the goods receipt, the system is taking the standard exchange rate instead of the new one and calculating the price, which is wrong. So, can somebody tell me whether there is a configuration involved, so that the system should consider the new exchange rate instead of the old one while posting the GR??
Please provide me some good suggestions on the above issue.

Maybe you can use Idoc PORDCR1 (Create Purchase Order) as import method in LSMW.
Exchange rate field (WKURS) corresponds to field EXCH_RATE in E1BPMEPOHEADER segment.

  • Post parked document with display doc option instead of edit doc option

    Hi SAP Guru's
Do you know if there is any tcode exist to post parked document in which user can display the document first and review it before posting it. There is a tcode FBV0 to post park document but this transaction takes you to the edit parked document(FV50) when user tries to review it. Which is the violation of SOX.
Per SOX if user has post access should not allowed to park and vise versa.
Is there any user exit for FBV0 where we can replace FV50(Edit parked doc) with FBV3(Display parked doc)? Or any other suggestion.
    Thanks for any help,

    Hi Priya
Stuck with FIPP Workflow. You need to do Business Object Binding from Workflow to Task. This can be done by checking the Binding of TS20000166 in Workflow Template WS20000075. Once you do that you will get a link. If you click on the link you will get the TCODE in display Mode. I was expecting some mails from you regarding queries:)))). I have now turned into a Workflow Specialist in my company )). Please reward points if useful )). I thnk this wil be very useful.
