Fed up with Adobes lack of support for PS12.

I Purchased PS 12 this past August and I soon found that PS 12 is no longer supported by Adobe.  My warranty has also expired.  Since purchasing the product I have had many problems causing me to spend many hours listening to videos, waiting for answers in published forums.  The basic problem that I have is that PS12 cannot communicate with Revel Premium.  I cannot transfer photos, of which I have thousands, between PS12 and Revel Premium.  For approximately three weeks after purchasing PS 12 and Revel I could transfer photos to and from PS 12 and Revel but this no longer is possible.  What happened?  Should Adobe upgrade me to V13 at no cost?  Does Adobe have someone who will address this problem and solve this issue?
  My patience has expired.

  • Hugely disappointed with Apples lack of Support for iPhone 3G

I am so very disappointed in Apples lack of response or help regarding the OS4 and iphone 3G.
Originally a hugh support of Apple's philosophy and product, I find myself questioning their values and ulterior motives.
Currently, I have an iphone 3G 8GB. It worked like a dream until I installed the OS4. Like other forum members, my phone freezes, sputters, chokes and does all sorts of unusual oddities. I have gone to the Genius Bar at Apple only to be told that, it works fine for everyone else, excluding me and that basically, there is nothing that they can do about it.
I bring to their attention that on the actual Apple forum, there are others' like myself complaining of the same things! The response I get is that, people on here are not genuine and that you can't believe everything you read. Are they for real? The other responses that I get is to, reboot 3 to 4 times a day, restore, restore to factory, and to wait for the update of OS4.
But if OS4 is the culprit then how can it accommodate my iphone 3G?
Oh and the best response I get from the Apple store is, "if you are unhappy with your phone, you can upgrade to the iphone 4"!
Just recently, I did as told, and updated the OS4 on my phone.. and guess what!? It is worse off than it was previously. I just find it ironic that Apple refused to acknowledge the fact that this operating system (OS4) is rubbish for 3G users.
IM STILL WAITING FOR APPLE TO MAKE IT RIGHT

I can only agree with the above. My iPhone 16gb was fine and after my Wife my best friend to be honest. I've never had a more useful piece of i.t. kit and it's really made a difference to my lifestyle.
My wife's is still on 3.1.2 and comparing our two phones mine *****. My fault for not listening, but you sort of trust Apple until they let you down. OS4 was total crap, 4.0.1 still poor. It's barely faster and several thumbnail photos have gone from the camera roll. Listen to us Mr Jobs!!!
Your iPhone is not like normal phones. Your customers do not simply discard it for a new one, they may well buy a new version, but the old one will pass between family and friends and still be expected to function well many years hence. My current phone is earmarked for my son, my wife's for my daughter and so on as we renew our contracts. We EXPECT these things to work properly, and if you want loyal Apple customers to be retained you must support your older models fully.
A 10 year old with his Dad's old 3g used as an iPod, will be more likely to get a newer iPhone or iMac later on.

  • What is the problem with Adobe Customer/Tech support for Premiere Pro?!?!?!

Today Adobe closed the NINTH support ticket - since mid-January - on my problem with Premiere Pro CC - it crashes on startup (just after the splash screen loads). From what I gather on here, I am not alone with this problem. It's apparently rather common!
I've left message after message and, as I said, NINE tech support tickets (most recent #0185443350). All have been closed or withdrawn without ANY help, reply or solution. Yet my monthly Cloud charge is reliably withdrawn from my bank account!
I need access to a working program! I use this in my studio business and my customers have been waiting since the end of January! This is now costing me money and customers!
Adobe - Apparently you don't particularly care about your customers. I am NOT impressed and, at this point, I'm starting get a little pissed off. It's been almost six months and.....NOTHING!
And YES, all of my drivers are up to date, etc. I've reinstalled. Updated drivers. Etc etc etc, ad nauseum!
    NOTHING WORKS!
    -Rowen Poole

    Hi Rowen,
I sent you a PM. I hope I can help you resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

  • Beyond frustrated with the lack of support for this phone

My title says it all...  I've had this phone since sometime in August, and at the time we signed up, we were "upgraded" from the freebie phones into three of these phones, one each for myself, my wife and our daughter.  These phones are slow, laggy and do not perform well, despite being powered by 1ghz processors.  http://gizmodo.com/5890956/the-full-list-of-verizon-phones-getting-ice-cream-sandwich - this article dated in MARCH says ICS for the Verizon Rhyme is coming, yet 9 months later we're still on the same version, which is extremely outdated software.  Verizon won't help us in upgrading to the Galaxy S3 without paying $650 per unit, and I'm not eligible for anything for a year and a half.  As a new customer, I feel VERY MUCH locked into a situation I don't like and I have no options to make it any better.  I can't get out of the phone making me unhappy...  the promised ICS update is lost in never never land... and it's forever and a day away before I'm eligible for an upgrade that's not gonna force me to take out a 2nd mortgage.
I've read questions here about this phone and it takes 7-20 days for Verizon to even respond, which points out just how interested they are in addressing the many angry customers with this lemon.

Yeah  I feel your pain!  I have had a rhyme for about 1 year and have had nothing but problems.  They traded the phone for me due to the problems, got a refurbished one which has proven to be no better than the one I had.  I have spent hours on the phone with verizon in attempts to fix things.  One time they even had to get a company person(phone manufactureer) on the line to help me.  Yes this is a very poor product with many many issues.  Verizon should really do something to help all us loyal verizon customers (I have been a customer since verizon was air touch) out.  UGH!!!

  • Fed up with Adobe's customer service

I have to say that Adobe takes the cake as the most inept company in the US, along with AT&T. I filed my application for the free upgrade from CS5.5 in early May, right away they asked me for the invoice, even though I had sent them PDFs of the order confirmation, and shipping confirmation which had all the information they needed, but OK, I went to my account on B&H and downloaded the invoice on PDF and sent that to Adobe. Several weeks went by and no news. In late May I sent them an inquiry through the open case they had opened for me, and they replied that they were working on it. Several days later I called, but their phone menu system is obviously designed to wear people out and get nowhere, so I started a chat online with one of their "agents". This was two Saturdays ago.
As usual I was greeted with a lot of fake politeness that those poor Indian guys are forced to shower the customer with to the point of making you sick, and the guy, after requesting my information told me that my upgrade had been approved and I was going to have it ready within 24 hours. 72 hours later and still no email or any news, so I started another chat, and this guy told me that he approved my order and that it was going to be ready again in 24 hours. Two days later, still no order link, and they close the case saying that the order had been closed and that "The order is currently processing and the download will be available in your Adobe account in 24-48 hours."
Well, two days later still no order, so again another frustrating chat session with another very polite Indian guy (I don't mean that in a demeaning way, since I like Indian people very much), who again told me that my order was going to be ready in 24 hours.
Yesterday after work, still no order, so another pointless chat session with lots of apologizing and condescending and the assurance that he was going to "escalate" this to a superior.
Absolutely fed up I called their number to see if I could -very naively of me, I admit- reach someone at their headquarters that could actually give me my serial number and download link.
After talking and being placed on hold by another guy in India, and adding another 20 minutes of wasted time to the already over two hours I wasted on chat sessions, the guy came back to tell me that he was going to investigate further and call me back, which he never did.
Today, well over a month after I submitted all the requested paperwork, and weeks after most people are happily using Adobe CS6, I'm still waiting for the upgrade I was promised.
The only other time I had to deal with such an extreme level of ineptitude was a year ago with AT&T. Different products, but same terrible customer service, and the obvious realization that these are really chaotic companies where the different departments don't communicate at all with each other, or do so very poorly. I don't blame those poor Indian guys that are probably overworked and underpaid, I blame the American executives that outsource their support to other countries, force them to be unbearably polite to where they actually waste a lot of your time saying "thank you", "I apologize" and repeating what you tell them a million times, and basically read from a script.
In other words, I'm really fed up with Adobe. I understand the fact that they have a lot of these upgrades to process and that takes time. But I'm fed up with their reps telling me that my upgrade is going to be ready in 24 hrs and ten days later it's not, and they keep telling me that over and over. That's just plain bad customer service.

I don't know why the Adobe forums suddenly asked me to sign up for the forum again, even though my registered address with them remain the same, but I mention it so you know I'm the OP.
Just a day after I posted this I had a great customer service experience from a Tier 3 manager, so I want to mention it as well. On Wednesday on my way home from work I called the Adobe headquarters in California (you can google the number easily) and I explained my problem to the woman that answered the phone, so she transferred me to a guy that she said was overseas but was a manager that would help me. I thought to myself, here we go again. After explaining my case to this manager, a very nice guy called Gautam Garg, he asked me to give him 24 hours so he could check on my case, and that he was going to call me back at the same time the next day. I told him that he was telling me the same thing all these other reps had told me before, to give them 24 hours and one of them even told me he was going to call me back and never did. Gautam told me that this was different, that he was going to send me an email right away to prove it and work on my case. I thought to myself, yeah right, like this guy is going to call me back.
Less than an hour later, he calls me back at my home number and tells me that the problem seemed to be that my address was in Kenya. The street address, state and zip code were the real ones, but the country showed as Kenya instead of the USA. I told him it was obviously a glitch in their system. So he told me that instead of the download, he was going to send me the boxed product. I still had my doubts it was going to happen, but I told him I would much rather have the boxed product than the download, so I thanked him for it.
Having seen the previous bureaucracy at Adobe I figured it would take me a couple of weeks to get that box, but still I was happy I was getting the box instead of the download, so I decided to wait. But not even a day after I talked to Gautam, I got an email from Adobe saying that my CS6 had shipped already, using Fedex overnight and gave me a tracking number.
On Friday I came home from work and my CS6 box was already here. I sent an email to Gautam to thank him and I told him that he should get a big raise along with a promotion, because I talked to all those other people using open cases, chat and one phone call before him, and none of those ten people or so did enough to solve my problem, while he went into the system and checked what was wrong with my order and solved me problem in less than an hour. I don't know if the other people that worked on my case were incredibly negligent, but maybe they're not, maybe the support methodology Adobe has for their customer service centers is what's really negligent. Perhaps what Gautam was able to do in less than an hour, all the other people didn't have access to. I don't have a way to know that, but it can't be possible that I have to waste so much time to get the free upgrade I had requested over a month earlier. Still, I'm happy that out of this I got the box instead of the download, so at the end I'm happy with their customer service, but they have to go a long way to make it better so people don't have to go through lots of chats and phone calls to get what they need.

  • DirectTV lack of support for Apple TV channels

Is there a common site to file a complaint with DirectTV over the lack of support for AppleTV channels?  Or do I have to go to each channels site?
    Thanks for any help!
    Regards,
    -Brian

    Welcome to the Apple community.
The Apple TV 1 is very much different than the later Apple TV is. For a start it doesn't support homesharing or airplay. It doesn't have many features of the later Apple TV is such as iTunes march, MLB, WSJ, photo stream and others. Additionally, it does not support re-downloading of TV shows and movies (US only).
It's also plays lower resolution video only.

  • Lack of support for rosetta in Lion

with the lack of support in Lion for Rosetta (so the rumours go) how am I fixed with my epson 2400 scanner an HP 5552 printer?

You should look at the current drivers available for both devices, if they're supported in Snow Leopard upgrading to Lion should probably will not affect them however we won't know for sure until Lion is released. You can find the devices currently supported at:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669
BTW I don't think Rosetta has anything to do with drivers for scanners and printers. If you are using Epson and HP software that was written for PPC based computers then you may have a valid concern. You can always voice your concern at www.apple.com/feedback.

  • To Bentley Wolfe, Adobe, re: Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post

    Hi Bentley,
I wanted to tell you that an important link you posted does
not work and says "Sorry, this page is not available".
It is in your post entitled "Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting
Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post", and is at
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfmforumid=44&catid=184&threadid= 1400586&enterthread=y.
The link that is non-functional is "If you have issues
installing Flash Player 10, first troubleshoot your issues using
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
Read the technotes, do some testing.".
I just wanted you to know, since you have gone to all of the
effort of posting it. I apologize for having to start a new thread,
but I was unable to post to your thread, since it is locked and
    read-only.
This is the issue I am dealing with myself, and desperately
    need help with. :)
    Thank you so very much,
    Karen

    Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
    it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
    original page.

  • Lack of support for Canon G7 and G9. Alternatives?

I am really disappointed about the lack of support for the Canon G9, and looking at the list of compatible cameras (http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306835) I notice that Canon G7 - even if it does not have a RAW format, is not supported either.
I am thinking that the purchase of the G9 may have been premature and that I may need to sell it and get another cam that is supported by Apple/Aperture.
What would you guys do? Is there a cam out there similar to the G9 at the moment that has a Apple-supported RAW format?
    Best regards,
    Kjell Are Refsvik

I think the camera closest to the G9 that has RAW support from Apple are the Panasonic DMC-LX2/Leica D-Lux 3 twins. Don't know where you are, but in the US, the Panasonic costs about $400. 10MP, 28-112mm (35mm equivalent) Leica lens, very compact body, and RAW output. The Leica costs $599, and has that classic look.
I don't know much about that cameras, but you may want to investigate.

  • Can Apple comment on their lack of support for burning CD-TEXT?

Can Apple comment on their lack of support for burning CD-TEXT?
I've been getting the runaround from the support people. They said to resolve my issue check out the following kb articles. The articles were aimed at giving me more information about ID3 tags and formats that I care about. I just want my burnt cd's to work in my CD-TEXT capable cd player.
I've done this using alternate software packages so I know my hardware supports it. I'm really looking for a complete solution for myself (techie) and my wife (non-Techie) to use and make us both happy. I have to admit, this really bothers me.
I know I'm not the only person asking about this. Please add the support for CD-TEXT to I-Tunes.
    Thanks

Apple people don't comment here, it's a user to user forum.
But you've got me interested. CD-TEXT, what is it? Should I just look it up in wikipedia or do you have a better explanation of what it is you're after?

  • Hi, is it possible to print also A2 with adobe illustrator ? Thanks for help.

hi, is it possible to print also A2 with adobe illustrator ? Thanks for help.

    pandron,
One simple way would be to save as/print to PDF, then print from Acrobat/Reader.
You could also make a copy of the file, then change the Artboard size and scale up the artwork and print from that (presuming you still wish to work in A4 or something).

  • Frustration with lack of support for Flash Player on IPad. When is Apple going to support Flash?

When is Apple going to support Flash Player on IPad?
The majority of sites that have multimedia content rely on Flash. Safari users are missing out on tons and tons of content that depends on Flash.  I have and love my IPad 2. I should be able to use this awesome thing to get at anything I need to on the Internet. Yet when I need to access Flash sites, I am forced back to my windows PC.
Please Apple Make it happen! I'm tired of being ragged by android users on this. You need to fix it.

    Flash is a dieing technology.
Really it's not seeming that way.
In fact, since the iPad release, and Steve Jobs famously declairing the death of Flash, Flash useage has increased.
Check it out 95.75% of all internet connected devices have the Flash Player.
    http://www.statowl.com/flash.php
(the mac only has 12% share, it must be totally doomed then)
IOS Apps are now made using Adobe Flash
    http://thenextweb.com/apple/2011/09/09/the-best-selling-ipad-app-on-the-app-stor e-was-created-with-adobe-flash/
And so are Android, Blackberry etc.
And HTML5 was supposed to be Apple's answer to all the missing content, yet here, 3 years later, HTML5 is no where to be seen, and lacks support/performance to compete with Flash.
    http://getmoai.com/images/banners/mobilegaming-html5-vs-alternatives-011112-moai .jpg
Just look at how when you step outside the reality distortion field, things look much different. Look at HTML5 performance compared to Flash.... wasn't HTML5 supposed to outperform and save us from dead batteries? Well even 3 years after Steve Jobs claims it's still using 5x more resources than Flash.
This demo shows 16,250 sprites animating at 60fps using the Flash player, something HTML5 can't even do with less than 100 sprites.
    http://www.bytearray.org/?p=4074
HTML5 is a joke, Flash is real, and is providing real content to real people right now. If you as an Apple owner believe the ownership of an IOS device is worth this loss, then more power to you.

  • Adobe's lack of support for government systems

So, I am a little frustrated. After almost two years of trying to get my director to buy off on the CC, he says he will do it. But here's the problem; I work for the DoD on a classified network. I was told that Adobe had a fix for this, but after an hour of sitting on the phone I have apparently found out otherwise. Does Adobe understand that some government users will NEVER be able to connect their systems to the internet? Not every 90 days, not once a year, NEVER. That's how it works. I am absolutely livid that I have been supporting Adobe for 15 years and am now being told they have no plan to find an option for loyal government customers.

Yah.  That's what I figured.  After trying to build the installer myself, I contacted one of our IT guys and he's been looking into it for the past week.
I'm not sure why it would be so hard for an actual Adobe person to build the installer with our serial number.  I'm guessing they would succeed where I failed.  Unfortunately, I had to attempt to build a Photoshop-only installer with the full CS6 suite download and AAME 3.  It sounds easy, but there are several apps that are probably included with a Photoshop-only install, like Bridge and maybe some others I don't know about.  Maybe I could have built the installer with the entire creative suite in it, then just checked the Photoshop box at install..?
PS...  Thank you for the reply, brjivide!

  • Why Adobe dont want support for ArmV6 if there are many devices with these?

Many people use Android devices with ARMv6 like: Galaxy ace, Motorola Defy, Galaxy y, LG Optimus One, etc, ect. I think that therea are more with ARMv6 that ARMv7 check: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1596800
This link you can see the top 10 of the most common devices Android and the 3th is galaxy ace one devices with ARMv6.
    http://readwrite.com/2013/02/07/8-of-the-10-top-android-devices-in-use%20-belong-to-samsun g
My Adobe friends. This is true. The big problem that have Adobe Air as framework for develop mobile Aplications is that, if you realy want that Adobe Air be truly one standard for the community, you need cover all devices, no some, otherwise Adobe Air will continue every day more in oblivion.
If we as developer choosing Adobe AIR as platform to build mobile apps even as simple as "Hello World" or bank aplications, school aplications, enterprices aplications, there are a huge percentage of Android user cant run it. Which means our apps is going to losing millions or billions of potential customer because of chosing Adobe AIR.
Another thing. Unity, Sencha, Titanium, etc, etc, etc have support to ARMv6 why Adobe don't want support these devices? - This causes only one result: the people will have to resign from adobe AIR mobile technology.
I hope that Adobe understand and bring AIR support on all those lower performance device (ARMv6) especially those new ARMv6 device.

    To play devil's advocate:
    * The 3rd most popular phone you mention (Galaxy Ace) was released in Feb 2011. I'd say it's falling out of that chart fast.
    * Motorola Defy was released October 2010. Galaxy Y, October 2011. LG Optimus one, October 2010. If the flagship phones for the architecture are 2+ years old, it doesn't speak much for its market penetration.
    * Unity doesn't support ARMv6. As far back as 2011 they announced they'd focus on v7, and whatever support v6 might have is very limited. (Source)
While I'm sure there's a place in the current market for armv6, it's something that's already legacy and it's going away fast. Not sure it makes sense to spend resources on that. "You need cover all devices" stops making sense when the effort necessary exceeds the returns. I don't see any "new" ARMv6 devices coming out either.
ARMv6 is dying or dead, depending on how you look at it. It'd make much more sense to support a platform that has new high-end devices coming out (x86).
If you as a developer absolutely need to support those old, low-end devices, using a simple framework like PhoneGap is a better solution.
