File Adapetr: File is not picking from File directory

Hello,
Issue: we are facing issue with file sender adapter like file is not picking from source file directory.
Scenario: FTP1>PI>FTP2
1. SAP PI sender communication channel will pick the file from FTP1 and process to PI file server (NFS)
2. from PI file server (NFS), file will process again to FTP2
So while picking the file, it shows following error:
Could not process due to error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Error during RETR epilogue: com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 451 Transfer aborted. Broken pipe
Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: sun.io.MalformedInputException
Processing started
this issue occur after we migrate the PI server from hpunix to aixunix.

Hi,
check the FCC parameters, fieldfixedlength option would be used when the exact length of field is constant in the Sender, In the FCC the fieldfixedlength parameter carries the length of the each.

File Adapter as Sender not picking the files

We configured the File Adapter as Sender, Transport Protocol =NSF and message protocol as FCC.
In OS we have folder to read the file, but SAP XI unable to read the file.
To trouble shoot this issue we copied that file into another location and reverted back to the same location then XI File adaptor is able to read the file.
Now we have compared the Attributes of the path
the only difference in file attributes

Hi,
Check the file path & file name , Check the processing mode parameter which you have set?
Check the folder properties & provide all the permission ...
Finally check the communication channel status in RWB, If the problem persist try to stop & start the communication channel again..

Sender file adapter is not picking the file from windows server

Hi Experts,
We have a sender file adapter running on Unix server. Now we have changed the source directory path from Unix to Windows in file access parameters. It is not picking the files from windows directory and not showing any error.
In this scenario, input file for sender adapter is *.xml and no content conversion.
Could any one please let me know is there anything needs to changed in file adapter.

What do you have in the directory path?
If it is a shared drive in unix then the directory in windows should also be a shared drive from XI system. Else if it is FTP check the address.

File is not picking from the source location. FTP is working properly and file is also placed in source location. I am new the XI, if anybody can give me the solution it would be really helpfull.

Hi Majin,
Check the folder path properly, check the file name( file name is case sensitive) you have given correct or not. See that your communication channel is active. Also check the cache status and check adapter status also by that you will come to know wht is the problem.

XI is not picking the file from source dir after exported from DEV to QA

We have moved one XI object from Dev to QA. It was working fine Dev but in QA XI system not picking the file from the source directory.
I have checked Communication Channel monitoring and receiver determiniation everything is fine. But still it is not picking the file.

Sender JMS Synchronous communication channel not picking up files from JMS

Hello,
One of our Sender JMS synchronous communication channel (used Sync/Async bridge in the module section to make it Synchronous) is not picking up files from JMS system though the channel looks to be active (greeen).
When I am trying to stop the channel, it is giving error as "1 of 1 administered and selected channels have not been stopped", and after this when I start the cannel again it shows green but not picking up any files.
if anyone is haivng any solution for this, please reply back.

Messages available in JMS system? please check queue's if message were there and it is not picking up then some thing wrong with cc.
simple solution create new communication channel with same details and try to use the same.

SSIS ETL does not pick the file from Share point when it execute through SQL Agent job

I have created one SSIS packages, which pick the file from the Share point document library. its work successfully, once it execute through the VS project application.
But when i create a job in SQL Server Agent for this package then it does not pick the file and job getting fail.
Just for more update, SQL Server has been install in Cluster mode and using BIDS 2012 with SQl Server 2012.

SQL Server Integration Services is not cluster awareness, and does not support failover from one cluster node to another. So, in your clustered environment, make sure SSIS is installed on each node in the cluster. In other word, SSIS must be installed on
the server where the SQL Server Agent job is created.

File Adapter is not picking few files

I am facing some issue in file adapter. Below are the possible file format that we need to pick.
File format sample 1:
865|FieldOrder|AK|620005168|1|Reject|Line Qty can not be Canceled,xyz,abc|The line has been shipped,fgh,hjk
File format sample 2:
865|FieldOrder|AK|570000259|10|Accept|
- All the fields are separated by '|' & last filed is terminated by 'eol'.
- The last two fields (C7 & C8) also have sub fields separted by ',' as shown in sample 1.
- Fields C7 & C8 are optional. (Sample 2 is shown above)
- File contains only one record.
We are using below mentioned XSD which is working fine in case of sample 1 as shown above. When we have a file of format like sample 2 then file adapter is failing to pick the file. I also tried minoccur='0' attribute which also not worked. Please help me out to find the exact XSD which will pick both type of formats (sample 1& sample2).

Sender File adapter not picking the file ABCD.PRN extension file

Am doing File to Abap Proxy scenario. My source will be in text format of fixed length of fileds 7.
My souce file will be generated by a third party machine with the extension EEE150809.PRN. In my scenario my file adapter should pick the file and update the same in ECC via a Proxy.
I have configured the Sender File adapter with Message Protocol - Content Conversion but file adapter is not picking the file. I have checked the Communication channel and status is fine. But the same Communication Channel works for .XML file.
What are the parameters that I have to consider with the file extension .PRN using File adapter?

Hi Swarna,
You dont need to worry about the extension when picking the file. You can try using EEE* so that is picks all the files starting with EEE. If you have the fixed name then you can try giving EEE150809.*. Also EEE150809.PRN should not have any issue. Try to see in sender commu ication cahnnel for anyerrors. Probably there might be some network issues or authorisation issues. If you are reading with NFS then ask them to give necessary permissions. If you are reading through FTP check the user id and pwd you are using.

I have the Easy System Cleaner. It worked through Internet Explorer. But when it comes to Mozilla Foxfire. It stops.
The message is:

I think in your situation it would be worth trying the things listed under the event. It does have to do with FRS and it's easy to do. I've used it to fix journal errors after a server unexpectedly restarts and sysvol stops replicating. I
could see where it could fix your issue, and if it doesn't, you're out 5 minutes. :)

Is this error occurring for all PDF files that you try to open? There is an issue where all file icons can change to the PDF icon after installation, so is it possible that the files you're trying to open have been affected by this issue (and aren't actually PDF files)? Please see Application, file icons change to Acrobat/Reader icon.
If that document isn't the key, then please tell us more about these files. Where are they stored? Did they open in previous versions of Reader?

Net price not picking from info record

I am creating a new PO, but net price is not picking from info record. Info record is getting copied in the line item for PO, but net price is not copied. Due to that I am unable to create PO. If I manually enter price PO can be created. Could someone tell me what might be the reason Price is not automatically taken from Info Record. Please guide me what all I need to check.
The same data is working in one cleint, and in another client this data is facing problem.

2) If In inforecord last po number is exist for material and vendor ,then system will take this into consideration
3) if your creating po first time for material and vendor ,and we have maintain purchasing inforecord for purchasing organization and for plant,then system will take it into consideration
40 If none is available we have to put condition manually in po
