File contents under authorization

I would like to write the program having the possibility to read the file which is under authorization. Consider I have a page www.mypage.com , in title page there is two input fields to enter username and password. After successfully entering username and password the user is redirected to www.mypage.com/myzone/ . If you would try to visit this url ( www.mypage.com/myzone/ ) you would be redirected to www.mypage.com . So, I would like to write program which could read the contents from www.mypage.com/myzone/ using my username and my password. I tried using this code:
import java.net.*;
import java.io.*;
public class URLConnectionAuthReader {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
String username = "username";
String password = "password";
URL authurl = new URL("http://www.mypage.com/myzone/ ");
Authenticator.setDefault(new MyAuthenticator(username, password));
URLConnection ac = authurl.openConnection();
BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
new InputStreamReader(
ac.getInputStream()));
String inputLine;
while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null)
System.out.println(inputLine);
in.close();
protected static class MyAuthenticator extends Authenticator {
private String username, password;
public MyAuthenticator(String user, String pwd) {
username = user;
password = pwd;
protected PasswordAuthentication getPasswordAuthentication() {
return new PasswordAuthentication(username, password.toCharArray());
But I am always getting the contents of the url www.mypage.com/ but not of www.mypage.com/myzone/ as I wrote in code.

You would use an Authenticator if you were getting an HTTP authentication-required response from the server. But that's not what you described in your scenario.
First you have to send the same request which the signon page sends. It's probably a POST request, for example. Once you get a response, then you have to send the request for the URL which you want. Don't forget to help the server preserve its session, it will probably send cookies which you have to send back.
You can use the Apache HttpClient to do all that if you don't want to learn a whole lot about the intricacies of the HTTP protocol.

  • How to find out if file contents under some document library SPListItem has changed

    hi,
    I am building a Sync tool which will Sync SharePoint document library to some other service(e.g. FTP). I have added event handlers on the document library for ItemAdded, ItemUpdated etc.. etc.
    Now i have one problem, when ever a file is updated (either custom properties and/or file content) then there is no way to check if its updating of content or custom fields. So everytime i need to upload my file to that FTP location. I want to get some indication
    that this time file content is updated not the custom fields, or file content with custom fields are updated.
    I have checked After and Before properties but its of no use. When ever you rename a file or just open the edit dialogbox and save it without updating any thing, all after and before properties are same :(
    Need some solution for this, any help suggestion is appriciated.

    Sorry for late reply.
    1st link (storing file hash/MD5) is not a solution for me as i have many Office documents
    2nd link doesnt have nay answers
    Archive Folder is not a solution. How can i find if current item SPFile has content changes?
    I already have my custom fields with each SPListItem. How can i find in itemUpdating/ed that if file content is changed? to make my custom field ture?

  • Is Quick View (preview of file contents under search results) supported in SharePoint 2013 Foundation?

    We recently deployed SharePoint 2013 Foundation but can't make Quick View (seeing the contents of a file when you hover the mouse cursor over it) work in the search results.
    All Site Collection/Site Features are turned on.  Not sure what else to do.
    Does anyone have this feature working in SharePoint 2013 Foundation?
    Thank you!

    Hi Charlie,
    To view the Preview of the Search Results you need to Install/Configure Office Web Apps Server in your farm.

  • Problem in file content conversion from XML to CSV

    Hi Experts,
    I am finding problem in file content conversion. I need to convert the following XML file into CSV file:
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MT_CROSS_REF xmlns:ns0="urn:dabur:idoc2file:pos">
          <Update_type>2</Update_type>
          <PLU>00000000</PLU>
          <Cross_ref_PLU>7777777</Cross_ref_PLU>
          <Capture_PLU />
          <Package_size />
          <Package_desc />
      </ns0:MT_CROSS_REF>
    The output file data has to be like:
    2,00000000,7777777,,,,
    The problem I am facing is while specifying the content conversion parameters in communication channel i dont know what recordset structure i should mention as all the records are directly under root. If I mention recordset structure as "ns0:MT_CROSS_REF" and parameters as
    ns0:MT_CROSS_REF.fieldSeparator   ,
    ns0:MT_CROSS_REF.endSeparator    'nl'
    i get error in communication channel monitoring and no file is posted.
    Please help me as to what correct parameter i should mention in my case.
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Yash

    Hi Chirag,
    I cannot change the xml file as it comes after mapping idoc to a message type. How can I add ROOT in the xml? My message type is like MT_CROSS_REF and it has those 6 fields as in the XML (Update_type, PLU etc.). I do the mapping of these fields from a IDOC and get the XML.
    I hope you got my point.
    Thanks,
    Yash

  • File Content Conversion in Reciever Adapater for multiple element

    Hi folks,

    data1.fieldSeparator                '0x09'
    data.fieldSeparator                 '0x09'
    data.endSeparator                   '0x09'
    '0x09' is the hex vale for tab
    My o/p file is coming as
    a     b
    c     d     e
    the desired o/p is
    a     b     c       d     e
    Any idea on this
    Thanks
    Amit

    Hi Amit,
    You can try using this approach.
    You can create two data types.
    The input data type is of the input file format.
    The output data type can have all the five tags (Name1, Age1, Name, City and age) under one header tag(data1), instead of two tags(Data1, data) in the input file.
    Then in the receiver channel u can define the reordesetStructure -->
    recordset,data1,FileNameNode
    This will produce the output data in one line.

  • File Sender adapter with File content conversion

    Hi
    I'm having problems picking up a flat file that has some junk characters in the file.
    I'm usign a file sender adapter with file content conversion. The adapters shows the following error-
    Conversion of complete file content of  to XML format failed around position 0: sun.io.MalformedInputException
    this is the sample data with junk char's -
    A20099201009999009999060815160505051700130008151vÿÿÿÿ³  r 0OK0476                     31N016227241915840IV  00840 ÿÿÿ ÿ ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ ÿ ÿÿÿ
    There is not much in the file content conversion. This is a fixed length file, I'm just pickign it up & passing it to an inbound proxy. All my processing is in the proxy.
    I'd appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks
    Rachana

    Hi Rachana,
    Do you use a specific "encoding" like UTF-8 or ISO-8859-1 in your Sender CC?
    To be simple, Encoding is linked to country, you can find all "iso-nnnn" via google or some of them in sap help.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm
    Moreover, with your source file opened thanks to Notepad (for instance), use option "save UNDER", you will the encoding use by your file

  • Supress Column Heading - File Content Conversion in Sender Adapter

    Hi,
    Let me give a more clear picture about my scenario.  I need to convert CSV File to XML output:-
    My source file has column heading and values.  The sample data is mentioned hereunder:-
    PERNR;KID;PNALT;NACHN;NAME2;VORNA
    ;1200;1200;Angus
    I have created a data type as under:-
    DT_LegacyEmployee (Category - Complex Type)
         Employees (Category - Element, Occurence - 1)
              Header (Category - Element, Occurence - 0...1)
                   PERNR_H
                   KID_H
                   PNALT_H
                   NACHN_H
                   NAME2_H
                   VORNA_H
              Employee (Categroy - Element, Type - DT_LegacyEmployee_Row, Occurence - 0...unbounded)
                   PERNR
                   KID
                   PNALT
                   NACHN
                   NAME2
                   VORNA
    The file conversion parameters in the file sender adapter are mentioned hereunder:-
    Document Name - MT_LegacyEmployee
    Document Namespace - http://abc.com/xi
    Recordset Name - Employees
    Rescordset Structure - Header,1,Employee,*
    Recordsets per Message - 1
    Key Field Type - String (Case Sensitive)
    Employee.fieldSeparator - ;
    Employee.endSeparator - 'nl'
    Employee.fieldNames - PERNR,KID,PNALT,NACHN,NAME2,VORNA
    I dont' have a key field value.  How do we remove the header and show only the values in the xml output.  I have searched the forum topics as well checked many blogs related to file content conversion, but nothing helped.  Kindly advice how to fix this issue.  Thanks in advance.
    Regards.
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
    Change your File Adapter as below
    Document Name - MT_LegacyEmployee
    Document Namespace - http://abc.com/xi
    Recordset Name - Employees
    Rescordset Structure - Employee,*
    Recordsets per Message - 1
    Key Field Type - String (Case Sensitive)
    Employee.fieldSeparator - ;
    Employee.endSeparator - 'nl'
    Employee.fieldNames - PERNR,KID,PNALT,NACHN,NAME2,VORNA
    There is no need for the Header required in the data type.
    DT_LegacyEmployee (Category - Complex Type)
    Employees (Category - Element, Occurence - 1)
    Employee (Categroy - Element, Type - DT_LegacyEmployee_Row, Occurence - 0...unbounded)
    PERNR
    KID
    PNALT
    NACHN
    NAME2
    VORNA
    Now the trick is in the mapping program
    Lets assume your mapping looks like
    MT_LegacyEmployee ---> MT_TargetEmployee
    - Employees ---> Records
       - Employee ---> Record
         - PERNR  ---> TargetPERNR
         - .. so on
    When you do a mapping from Employee ---> Record apply the following logic.
    (PERNR)--->
                 (TestEquals =) --->(NOT)--->
    (Constant) --->                                (IF)
    (PERNR)                       (IF Without Else) ---> (Record)
                                                   (THEN)
                                (Employee)--->
    When doing this make sure RightClick on PERNR and Select Context ---> Employees.
    By default context would be from Employee and it will give you an error of XSD format. So make sure you are changing the context.

  • File Content Conversion--- Removing Quotations from csv file

    I have a csv file in the folowing format:
    field1,field2,field3,field4
    "111","222","333","444"
    "aaa","bbb","ccc","ddd"
    Suppose the header name is row in IR.
    While configuring the sender file adapter in XI, i have given following parameters under file content conversion.
    row.fieldNames=field1,field2,field3,field4
    row.fieldSeparator=","
    row.processFieldNames=fromConfiguration
    row.beginSeparator="
    After picking up the XML file XI processes the data so that we have out put as
    row
    field1 111
    field2 222
    field3 333
    field4 444"
    row
    row
    field1 aaa
    field2 bbb
    field3 ccc
    field4 ddd"
    row
    My Problem is what parameter should I add in ID to remove this last quote say 444" and ddd" from the XML message ????
    I tried using
    row.endSeparator=" but it is still giving the same output.
    Can anyone help ????????????????????????

    Hi,
    Try this FCC instead
    row.fieldNames=field1,field2,field3,field4
    row.fieldSeparator=,
    row.processFieldNames=fromConfiguration
    row.enclosureSign=u201C
    row.enclosureSignEsc=u201Cu201C

  • Problem with File Content Conversion (Receiver FIle Adapter)

    Hi Experts,
    I have following structure in receiver side:
    MT_Test
       F1
       F2
       F3
       F4
    Now I want a CSV file in target side in below format:
    F1,F2,F3,F4
    I have provided below config in receiver file adapter under content conversion tab:
    Recordset Structure : MT_Test
    MT_Test.fieldSeperator= ,
    MT_Test.endSeperator= 'nl'
    But this is generating blank CSV files in target directory..What might be the reason.. I have checked the msg in adapter engine, the XML file is correct and contains valid values for the fields..Its something like below:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <MT_Test>
       <F1>Hai</F1>
       <F2>Hello</F2>
       <F3>Bye</F3>
       <F4>Hi</F4>
    </MT_Test>
    I should get CSV file as
    Hai,Hello,Bye,Hi
    But I am getting a blank file with above said config parameters in content conversion tab.
    What might be the reason for getting blank CSV files in target side???
    Thanks,
    Adi

    Hi Adi,
    >>My target structure in below format:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <MT_Test>
    <F1>Hai</F1>
    <F2>Hello</F2>
    <F3>Bye</F3>
    <F4>Hi</F4>
    </MT_Test>
    So, try to edit Data type and include hierarchy level above <F1>.
    Finally your Target Structure will resembles like this.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <MT_Test>
    <Structure>
    <F1>Hai</F1>
    <F2>Hello</F2>
    <F3>Bye</F3>
    <F4>Hi</F4>
    </Structure>
    </MT_Test>
    FCC Parameters will be like this.
    Structure.fieldSeparator = ,
    Structure.endSeparator = 'nl'
    Hope you were clear.
    Thanks,
    Siva.

  • Cannot search PDF file contents - Windows 7 32 bit - Adobe Acrobat X

    Hello,
    If this is in the wrong forum please move it.
    I work in an enterprise environment and our systems are having trouble searching file contents in Windows Explorer using Acrobat X and Windows 7 32 bit. The files are on a mapped network location.
    After removing all adobe products from a test machine and reinstalling the Acrobat 10.0.0 software the windows explorer search function seems to work locally but once I install Acrobat 10.1.anything update, it will fail. It never worked on a networked location.
    I have also tried installing Adobe Acrobat 11.0.00 after removing 10.0. Then I made sure my indexing settings were setup to index files and contents and made sure the .pdf extension was selected under file types.
    I then created a mapped drive to the network location, and setup my indexing to the folder on that network drive. I was able to do this by installing this Microsoft Add-in that allows use of UNC paths in the indexing.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=3383
    Once I set this up, I rebuilt my index and restarted the computer. This is where it gets weird. I can now search the contents of PDF files in this indexed network location, but only by one letter. Searching "c type:pdf" will produce results, but "co type:pdf" will not. I know for sure some of the documents have the work Comment in there so this should should up.
    Does anyone have experience getting this to work correctly with the latest versions of Adobe Acrobat X or XI and Windows 7 32 bit? It would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

    I will never understand why but in the end I rebuilt my 32 bit dell laptop from scratch and the pdf files can now be searched.
    I cannot search them on a mapped drive as I was able to with Windows XP because now they must be indexed and windows 7 will seems not to allow a mapped location to be indexed which must be done to make the pdf files searchable so I have had to move the files to the local drive.
    My Windows 7 64 bit systems can search the mapped drives just fine without needing to be indexed. Again I will never understand why this works and the 32 bit machine does not.

  • Define attributes in Sender File Content Conversion

    Hello everybody,
    I have the following issue:
    I have the next flat file:
    0001;159;2008-04-03;Customer_2008-04-03.xml
    0001;953;0;1;0
    0002;2907;0;1;0
    And I have to convert it to the next XML structure:
    <DocumentsBatch id="0001" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
      <BatchInfo>
      <SumDocumenten>159</SumDocumenten>
      <date>2008-04-03</date>
      <name>Customer_2008-04-03.xml></name>
      </BatchInfo>
      <Document id="0001">
      <Customer>953</Customer>
      <Portnumber>0</Portnumber>
      <denied>1</denied>
      <Port>0</Port>
      </Document>
      <Document id="0002">
      <Customer>2907</Customer>
      <Portnumber>0</Portnumber>
      <denied>1</denied>
      <Port>0</Port>
      </Document>
    My question is: Is it possible to define an attribute (e.g. id="0001" in <Document id="0001">) in File Content Conversion? If so, how can I do that?
    Your answers will be rewarded with points.
    Kind regards,
    Kamran

    Hi Kamran,
    its not possible to define attribute in File Content conversion.Instead u can create one more field "id" under the segments DocumentsBatch, Document etc.
    Thanks

  • Question about File Content Conversion and parent-child relationships...

    Hello!
         I have read probably every blog, article and SAP Help document on the topic, but I am stuck on this one.  I am trying to convert a General Ledger flat file to an IDoc using the classic file --> IDoc scenario.  The setup is done and working, but the IDocs are formatted incorrectly and I believe at least part of the reason is how I am converting the file content.
    The root of my problem is that the flat file has a parent-child relationship between the document header and the document item and I want to maintain that since the IDoc type (FIDCCP01) has the same structure in the BKPF and BSEG segments.
    Here is the flat (non-XML) file layout that is coming into the file adapter:
    FileHeader
    DocumentHeader
    DocumentItem
    DocumentHeader
    DocumentItem
    and so on (until the number of documents is complete
    I would really like the content to be converted so that the line items stay under their parent document headers like this:
    <FileHeader></FileHeader>
    <DocumentHeader>
       <ItemHeader>
       </ItemHeader>
    </DocumentHeader>
    <DocumentHeader>
       <ItemHeader>
      </ItemHeader>
    </DocumentHeader>
    But I keep getting this, where it lists the document headers first (one after another), and then all of the line items after the document headers like this:
    <FileHeader></FileHeader>
    <DocumentHeader></DocumentHeader>
    <DocumentHeader></DocumentHeader>
    <DocumentHeader></DocumentHeader>
    <ItemHeader></ItemHeader>
    Is is possible to maintain that parent-child relationship from the flat file and pass it over to the XML?
    Thanks,
    John

  • File content conversion using SOAP adapter

    Hi,
         I'm using a receiver SOAP adapter in my IDOC to file scenario and need to do file content conversion in the receiver side.
    Are any standard modules available for file content conversion in the SOAP adapter or do I need to write custom EJB modules for this.
    Please note that I have to use a SOAP adapter, can't use any other adapter.
    Thanks in advance
    Shiladitya

    Hi,
    XML Document Conversion Type
    &#9679;      Enter recordTypes as the parameter name.
    Under Parameter Value, enter the complete, comma-separated list of all names of recordset types that occur in the document to be converted.
    If you decide to use this method, you can define a different conversion type for each recordset type that occurs in the XML document.
    For example, you could name the recordset types as follows: RecordType1,RecordType2,RecordType3.
    &#9679;      Enter singleRecordType as the parameter name.
    Under Parameter Value, enter the name of a recordset type that is to be used to convert all elements that occur in the XML document.
    If you decide to use this method, define the same conversion type for each recordset type that occurs in the XML document.
    You must enter exactly one parameter only. Whichever parameter you choose, you automatically exclude the second parameter.
    You define further parameters for each recordset type.
    In the remainder of this documentation the parameters are specified by the prefix <RecordType>. In your configuration, replace this name with the name of the recordset type.
    Conversion Type List with Separators
    &#9679;      <RecordType>.fieldSeparator
    Enter the field separator that is written between the individual fields of a record.
    This specification is mandatory.
    Conversion Type List with Fixed Field Length
    &#9679;      <RecordType>.fieldLengths
    Specify a character string that contains a list of fixed field lengths that are separated by commas and which determines the number and the length of fields generated in the text file.
    For example, you want to write a recordset with three elements that have field widths of five, ten, and fifteen characters. Enter:
    <RecordType>.fieldLengths = 5,10,15
    This specification is mandatory.
    &#9679;      <RecordType>.fieldLengthExceeded
    Specify how you want to handle fields that exceed the configured field length. Permitted values for the parameter value are:
    &#9675;       error (default)
    Interrupts processing of message with error
    &#9675;       cut
    Cuts off superfluous characters
    &#9675;       ignore
    Ignores the field length restriction
    Further Entries
    &#9679;      <RecordType>.beginSeparator
    Enter a string. The string is placed in front of the first field of a recordset.
    &#9679;      <RecordType>.endSeparator
    Enter a string. The string is appended to the last field of a recordset as a concluding character. The default is \r\n.
    &#9679;      contentType
    Enter the MIME type of the converted payload. The default value is text/plain.
    &#9679;      addHeaderLine
    Only define this parameter if you have already defined singleRecordType.
    Define whether a header line is to be added to the result of the conversion.
    &#9675;       none (default)
    Does not insert a header line
    &#9675;       fromXML
    The header line is generated from the element name of the first recordset of the XML document
    &#9675;       fromConfiguration
    The header line is determined by the configuration parameter headerLine.
    &#9679;      headerLine
    Only define this parameter if you have already set addHeaderLine=fromConfiguration.
    The value that you define is placed in front of the result of the conversion as a header line.
    &#9679;      fixedLineWidth
    Enter the maximum line length n (in characters) that can be written to the resulting document. The separator specified by lineSeparator is inserted in the resulting document every n characters.
    &#9679;      lineSeparator
    Only define this parameter if you have already defined fixedLineWidth.
    Specify the string that is written to the resulting document at the end of each line that is written with fixedLineWidth. The default is \r\n.
    Use of Special Characters
    You can use special characters in the following parameters: <RecordType>.fieldSeparator, <RecordType>.beginSeparator, <RecordType>.endSeparator, headerLine, and lineSeparator.
    &#9679;      Tabulator: \t
    &#9679;      Carriage Return (CR): \r
    &#9679;      Line Feed (LF): \n
    &#9679;      Arbitrary character: \x<code>
    <code>indicates the hexadecimal character code of the character to be displayed.

  • File  Content  Conversion for ignoring the entire line

    Hi,
       I'm getting a CSV file from that i want to skip some  records based on some validation.. for example:
    I'm getting the following  data :
    EmpNo                   EmpName                   EmpDept
    E101                       ABC                               ABAP
    E102                       XYZ                                BW

    E104                       BVM                               ABAP
    E105                       ASD                               BW
    E106                       YFC                                XI
    SO, here  where ever i'm getting  EmpDept = XI  .. i want to skip those all the  records( that entire line  i want to skip).. .. this can be possible through Message Mapping.. but i wnat to do this in the File Content Conversion..  how can we do this..
    any  helpful answers   will  appriciated..
    Thanks
    babu

    Hi,
    FCC is used to generate the XML structure so that XI can understood properly. You can not do any kind of validations or Skip the records based on Element value condition in FCC.
    There are scenarios where you want to skip the lines that time you can use the below option in FCC but this is again not based on condition.
    Under Document Offset, specify the number of lines that are to be ignored at the beginning of the document.
    This enables you to skip comment lines or column names during processing. If you do not make an entry, the default value is zero lines.
    The best way to do is use the UDF:
    Write an UDF on target root node.
    take input in one context:
    input a= Emp Dept:
    for(i=o,i<a.length;i++)
      if(a{i}.equals("X"))
       result.addValue(SUPPRESS); this will supress the target root node if condition is equal to X
      else
      result.addValue("Constant"); this will generate the target root node.
    Thnx
    Chirag
