File - Save - File scenario

I am currently doing a scenario in which a File comes from the Sender. It needs to be saved in some directory in XI. Now XI will send it to the receiving system. There is no mapping involved. The file is to be FTPed
How can this be done?
If I create a single DT and MT, how many Message Interfaces will be there. Also at the Configuration part how many Receiver and sender agreements should be made..

HEere is what you want to do:
<i>- get the filename, rename it, send to output and save it - within XI</i>
1. get the filename
This can be done using Adapter specific identifier in File adapter.
2. rename it, send to output and save it - within XI
If you want to rename the file and save it on XI server then you need to to write your Adapter module and rename the file and keep it on XI server at the same time send it to the receiver system
OR
if you just need to rename the file to keep it on the destination then you can do the same by accessing the adapter specific property in Message Mapping and then rename the file and post it to reciever at the same time in the sender adapter archive the file.

In IDOC-XI-xml file scenario , I have configured SLD , IR . But in ID , after file adapter , reciever agreement configuration when I am doing receiver determination configuration I am not able to insert mapping program in configuration overview of receiver determination as I am not getting "New Specific" option in mapping .
Can anybody suggest what could be the reason behind this .

Hi PRabhat,
In RCVR determination, you need to select the party & service (as appropriate) save the obeject
then refresh the configuration overview of recr det.
then you can see the partner/service
then you can open it & add the necessary objects.

IDoc output type not getting configured in IDoc-File scenario

Hello
I am having IDoc to file scenario where I want to post Delivery Document to legacy system. For this I have configured following EDI configuration for Delivery through NACE transaction
1] Created output type
2] Created partner function as EDI LS for this output type
3] Configured RSNASTED as Processing Routines for output type
4] Included this output type in the Header output procedure
5] Configured XI system as the partner in partner profile with appropriate Message control
Still when I attempt to include this output type in the Delivery it gives me "Output for partner could not be configured". The detail message says "In Customizing, the 'CannotBeChanged' indicator has been set for output type".
I checked in SPRO but could not find such flag.
Does anyone had came across such output type configuration.

In the Communication Channel Monitoring Locate the link Availability Time Planning, In Availability Time Planning, choose the Availability time as daily and say create, give the time details, select the communication channel in your case file adapter , goto the Communication Channels tab and filter and add the respective channel, save it

Warning message in MONI for HTTP to File scenario

Hey guys
i have a HTTP to file scenario wherein i m getting file from an extrenal system in XML format outside our landscape,file is coming in properly and its being delivered as desired as well,but everytime i check my payload in moni ,an information message pops up saying that the file may be unsafe,do you want to display,save or cancel?
even though i get correct payload and the file is also coming from the designated IP and port,why do i keep getting this pop up?

Prabha,
You should not delete any existing standard Data types provided by SAP. ExchangeLogData and ExchangeDaultData are standard data types get created when you create new namespace.
If you have already deleted then copy them from other Namespace to your namespace. Activate your default data type first and then your objects.

Unable to get filename from mail to XI to file scenario

Hi
How could i get the name of an attachment to be used as the file name on my File Adapter in a Mail to file scenario?
I recieve the files as attachments and I have used the payload swap bean to swap my actaull message content to attachment. That works perfect, the contents of the file are saved successfully on my file system. The file is sent as a plain text file and not xml and no mapping is done, I just get the files from the mail and save them into a file server for further processing.

I have installed my Module, but when I try to call it from within the adapters I get an error
exception caught during processing mail message [614]com.sap.aii.af.mp.processor.ModuleProcessorException: Error during processing local bean: localejbs/mailAttachmentFileNames caused by: com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Object not found in lookup of mailAttachmentFileNames.
I have searched all the logs and the module is active. I even restarted my J2EE engine, twice but still nothing..

   I am doing IDOC to FILE scenario.I am sending IDOC from R/3 to XI and then to XML file.That mean smy scenario is as Follows ( R/3XIfile ) These are my queries
-->I have created RFC Destination from R/3 to XI.should I need to create RFC destination from XI to R/3 ( i mean In XI )??
-->I have created one Port in R/3 and I have linked that port with RFC Destination that i have created.here i am sending IDOC from R?# to XI...SO we call this PORT as SENDER PORT or RECEIVER PORT??
-->and DO we need to create PORT in XI also??is it require for my scenario??
-->DO we need to create Partner Profiles in XI also??
-->DO we need to create LOgical system in XI to represent the XI system?? (as we created LS in R/3 to represent sender system)

               when we test IDOC ..by sing we19 TCODE,

2) Technical System pointing to R/3 system
3) Business System for the above technical system
In the Repository
1) Import the Software component created in the sld
2) Create a namespace,
3) import the idoc and then create sender data type/message type etc and mapping
4) Mapping Rules is depends on the requirement
In the Directory
1) Create a Scenario /import the business system
2) Create Receiver/Interface determination
3) Create communication channels for sender and receiver
4) Sender Agreeement and Receiver Agreement.
Then the file adapter configuration is depend on the input file format.
Also you need to have Logical destionation created in the XI , and the IDX1 entry
In R/3 Port, Partner profiles etc should be created

Soap to File Scenario with BPM

Hi Guys
I have create my Soap to File Scenario using BPM to split the file on "Transformation step" into 7 files and it must save these files to my FTP Server, when testing on sxmb_moni I don't get any errors but when checking on the FTP server no files are created, and I understand that it should be showing all seven processing on the sxmb_moni, but that is not happening.
I have used the ForEach mode on my Block.
What could I be doing wrong.

I have done file to file scenario.... I have created all data types,message types and message interfaces in Integration Repository..... and i have created reciever determitaion,interface determination, sender aggrement and reciever aggrement....and comunication channels....
In Source CC i have given
10.7.1.201\soruce
In Target CC i have give
10.7.1.201\target
I have created one source directry for source file and target directory for destination file....
Finally i have created source xml file and placed in source directory but its not going to target directory.... pls help me....

You may need to extendthe trace file in the Java Adminsitration console to find the exact problem.
Log on J2EE Admin Console
Select Cluster
Select <SID>
Select Server
Select Services
Select Log Configurator
Select Locations tab
In Log Controller:
Root Location > Com > SAP > aii > Adapter > File
Change severity to Debug
Click Save and "Apply to all server nodes"
Run the interface again
Check in \usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\cluster\server0\log
for full trace file.
Best viewed in Log Viewer:
\usr\sap\<SID>\DVEBMGS00\j2ee\admin\logviewer-standalone\logviewer.bat (.sh)

Current Value : 1
and save it.

Here is a scenario i'm explaining webservices(SOAP) to file scenario step by step:
SENDER SOAP ADAPTER: The sender SOAP adapter is basically used to send content from remote clients or Web service servers to the XI.
To do the end to end scenario let us consider a simple scenario
IR:
1. source data type
2.target data type
3.MT for Both
4.Message interface for both
5.message mapping
6.interface mapping
ID:
1)Define Serder Comunication channel type SOAP.
in DEFAULT XI PARAMETER you must put Message interface and Namespace of serder structure defined in IR
2) Define Receiver Communication channel.
3)define Receiver Determination
3)define Interface Determination
4)Define Sender agreement
5) Define Receiver Agreemen.
6)Active your changes.
DEFINE WEB SERVICE:
7)go to tool>enviroment>define Web services and put this string
http://<Host>:<Port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:<Bussines_System>:<Communication Channel>.
Example: http://srv-xi01-adm:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SCR_D:scr_d_soap_customer_sender
8)next step select MI of list
9)en next step you must define your sender BS and Message Interface.
10) Save Web service.
Test ur service with for example XML-Spy
Steps to make a request using the XML SPY:
1. Open the XML SPY, in the menu go to SOAP  Create new SOAP request
2.it will open a new window you will provide the path wsdl file that you have recently save .
3.Click on OK button a new window will be opened which shows the SOAP request
4.In the menu choose SOAP  Send request to server
5.Asynchronous Request: If your request is successful you will receive a SOAP response which will be empty response in an asynchronous request .

Email to file scenario

Hi all
We have configured the sender mail adapter to receive attachments (.txt or .csv) using the PayloadSwapBean. Our next step is to save the attachment to a file. We don't want to do any mapping, just save the file. Is it possible? How?

u have to do it like a File to File scenario,only difference u can download the standard mail package from marketplace and import tha as an XSD in IR and use that as sender MT.
then do message mapping and interface mapping,and in ID configure a sender Mail adapter and receiver File adapter.
infact u might be able to do this scenario withour any IR objects,have a look at the following

u just need to do mail to file instead of File to file.
i frankly never tried without IR but i dont see any reason why u should not be able to achieve this without IR

One these are done
1) U can trigger the the IDOC by scheduled job in BD87 immediately after the document is saved in R/3
2) Using transactions like bd10 and bd12 u can trigger IDOC for master data
3) While creating the partner profile there is a option trigger immediately . By enabling this option the idoc gets triggered.
4) Using the transaction WE19 u can trigger the IDOC mannually
