File sender Communication Channel is not working

Hi friends
we Created File sender Communication Channel and Activated but It is not picking up file
1. 0 messages in Message Monitoring
2. My Communication Channel not appearing in Communication Channel Monitoring also
3. We have refreshed the cache and activated the channel.
we chack with File name, Directory name and path ....
Friends have any idea

Perosnally, I would recommend setting a trace and letting the system telling you exactly why.
Traces are used to analyze runtime errors. By setting a specific trace level for specific locations, you can analyze the behavior of individual code segments at class and method level. This is done with the help of the log configurator service:
Log onto the Java Admin Console
     Services
     Log Configurator
     Locations
     Choose the location (Java package) and the tracing level (severity)
(for example, com.sap.aii.adapter.file)
     Root Location > com > sap > aii > File
     Set the severity and choose Copy Severity to Subtree

RFC Sender Communication Channel is not Working Properly

Hi All,
I had a Small Problem.
I had configured RFC Sender in Asyn mode as given in Weblog 5398
The Scenario is working fine for 1 time, after the execution the Communication Channel should be made Active again to make it work for the next time.
For every time to Execute the Scenario i had to Activate the RFC CC.
It is some complicated one. So any one please suggest me what can be done to Resolve the issue.

when we test RFC connection it is Failing and giving this error
Error Details     ERROR: timeout during allocate of registered program
Error Details     LOCATION: SAP-Gateway on host p162845 / sapgw00
Error Details     DETAIL: TP Flightdatasender init/busy for more than 60 sec
Error Details     COMPONENT: SAP-Gateway
Error Details     COUNTER: 31415
If I Activate the RFC sender CC.It is working again.
After 1 Execution.It is throwing this error.
I even added Name as 'jco.server.max_startup_delay' and Value '1000' in advanced Mode of RFC sender CC.
Please suggest me.

File sender communication channel stop working

Hi Guru,
I have a file sender communication channel. It usually works good. But sometimes it just stop working. And In RWB, it shows no error. If I stop it and restart it in RWB, it immediately works again. This happens once a while. Any ideas?

Hi,
option 1--
Do some dummy changes and activate channel and try and perform cache refresh.
If still not working then stop and restart SFTP service,if still no luck then restart JAVA stack
option 2
try to put timeout value in the channel.

My issue was now resolved but i want to know why this is happend i am getting this issue when ever there is any Basis maintaenance Happens.
If it is due to Basis maintnance then with same combination we have 2 more interfaces is there it is not affecting the other .

None of the file Sender Communication Channels are wotking in Prod-Urgent

facing a wierd situation, since yesterday all of my File Sender Comm Channels have stopped picking up files.This is in Production and was working fine day before.When I check in Comm channel monitoring the Channels are started and Functioning and also shows me that they are polling for the files.But no file is picked though files exist in the directory.These channels have been working fine since months and nothing had been changed since then.Suddenly all of them stopped picking up files.
I have about 10 Comm Channels that pick files, Is this related to Adapter Engine....any suggestions on this would be really apprecated.

Check access rights on your files. Try to set them to 777 (using chmod). Maybe this will help.
Problem is, when the XI does not have rights for picking up files, you see no errror message in CC monitoring and everything seems to be ok, but it is not..
We faced the same problem.. And we figured out, that our partner started to upload files with different access rights.

FILE SENDER COMMUNICATION CHANNEL DOESN'T GET FILE

I have create a new sender communication channel with ftp file configuration. Server parameter and source directory are correct.
I have also checked file and directory permission (chmod 777)
Poll interval is 600 secs.
There is no error in communication channel monitor (returned log: CC is correctly configured and started).
Process started every poll interval, but no file is picked up.
Why?

Hi,
What type of file are you processing. Check whether the file type is binary or text mode.
Also check whether the file name you have specified in the CC and the exact file in the directory are the same.
Also check the file processing mode, whether it is read only, delete or in test mode.
If the file is in read only mode when the file first processed, then once the file was processed it would be in read only mode, so if you place the new file it should process, so try deleting the existing file in the directory and place a new file with exact file name along with the correct extension and try to process it.
Also I would suggest you check the exact file extension, by unchecking the radio button in the folder option under the menu tools> Folder options> view-->hide extension for file type.

Communication Channel is not working

I have moved the design and configuration from quality XI server to product XI server. But when I start the Communication Channel in RWB, the LED is green, and I cannot get the log details at log area. The communication Channel is file adapter for FTP. The ftp file cannot be picked up. In fact, communication Channel is not executed. I have check SLD for product, software, business system and Technical system, no error is found. Anyone can tell me the reason about that?

Things to check:
1. If you have adopted the file based transportation approach then you will loose configuration channel related data .
you need to feed the data.
2. If you have adopted the CMS transportation approach, then case will be different
a) Try to ping the FTP server from XI Prod Server, it should ping .
b) If it is showing green it means it is able to locate the FTP server, kindly check the file name once again....
Let us know the scenario also and also how the scenario is behaving differently
Note : File Name is case sensitive 1.xml is different from 1.XML

The error message 503 Service unavailable Application stopped! is displayed.
Description:The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. Possible Tips: Because of J2EE application com.sap.aii.af.ms.app not active
u2022 Try to (re)start the application using the Visual Administrator Choose Server --> Services --> Deploy --> View on Application or restart the J2EE engine
u2022 The problem is that not all J2EE services can be started by the J2EE. i.e Start the Visual Administrator and select Server->Services->Deploy in the tree on the left. On the right-hand side, choose the Runtime tab page. You see a tree in the right window with all applications if you select the APPLICATION radio button. Check if they are running, otherwise choose Start. Usually the J2EE engine starts all services automatically.

File Sender Communication Channel not working

Hi All,
We have one file sender channel which sends file after every 3 hours.
But currently it has stopped the processing of file.
If we see in RWB it shows that "Correctly configured and started",but if we start and stop the chanel it doesnt show any processing started message.
File is there in the folder but the channel doesnt poll the folder to pick up the file.
We have refreshed the cache and activated the channel again.
But still no luck,does anybody have any idea?

Please check the parameters of your File adapter. There can be following possibility if File adapter is not picking the file :
1. File adapter is not active
2. Incorrect File name, Directory name or path,
3. File does not exist in the source directory.
4. If you are accessing file from other server (use FTP protocol) check you have READ and WRITE access.

Problem in File Sender Communication channel

We have FIle TO RFC scenario, which have been running in Production since long time.
Problem : Many of the time we have obsereved that even if the FTP is up and running , but file is not getting picked from ftp server. File name and all other details are maintained correctly. Can you please suugest me to resolve this issue.

First of all: the connect parameter should be set to 'Per Transfer': this ensures that a new connection to the FTP server is established for each file transfer. That means that you don't loose connection to the FTP server in case of a hick-up.
Second: are there any errors in your communication channel monitoring?

The Status of the channel is "Processing Erros in last 20 seconds". And in the processing deatils it just show the below two steps.

Soap sender communication channel is not shown in RWB

Dear Experts,
We had a recent installation of Xi and after that i m attemting a Soap to rfc syn scenario and i have created both the soap and rfc communication channel on a abap business system.
and now im not able to see the Soap communication channel in the RWB .even the soap icon is shown as disable..
can u tell the reason for this.Or is it bcos i have not sent any soap request to it.

Why my FIle sender Communication channel is inactive?

I tried to edit and save it again, but i can see active at ID but inactive at RWB-->Channelmonitorring..
what to do?

May be in the channel monitoring the channel is stopped. If you are sure that the channel is active in ID and in Start mode in communication channel, then it is a cache issue. Then, perform full CPACache refresh.

File send command in Word not working - can anyone help?

I've just bought a new macbook air, all is well apart from being able to email docs from word or excel which I do frequently.   When I use the File/Send command, I just get the spinning pinwheel for about 20 secs which then disappears. I then have to go to macmail and add the doc manually.   has anyone else had this problem?

I use the apple script I wrote to set up a terminal session using screen. You need to be sure the baud rate is the same as the cisco console:

If i mention in both the channels then its working in sender communication channel also.But in only sender communication channel its not working in only reciever communication channel its working Can any one tell me why its happening
