File(URL) constructor not recognized in SDK 1.4.2_05

I currently have a class with the following line in it:
File myFile = new File( new URI( uri ) );
When I run it using versions 1.4.2_01 or 1.4.2_04 of the SDK, everything works just as advertised. However, when I use 1.4.2_05 of the SDK, I get the following error:
[javac] /home/sbutman/osr-0.1/src/com/techxing/osr/ConfigurationSettings.java:326: error: Can't find constructor `java.io.File(Ljava/net/URI;)' in type `java.io.File'.
[javac] File myFile = new File( new URI( uri ) );
[javac] ^
[javac] 1 error
It seems that the constructor is invalid, but I don't believe it should be.
Any suggestions?

After further investigation, I've determined that this is not a Java problem; it may, however, be a problem with ant (I'm using ant to do the builds). If I build with ant using version 1.4.2_05 of the SDK, I get the error as reported in my original post. If I do not use ant (or do use it with an earlier version of the SDK), I don't get the error. I'll do more investigating and post the resolution here when I find it.

  • Flat file message is not recognized.

I have been pulling my hair out for days now.  I have an ANSI x12 214 v4010 document that validates against the xsd file in visual studio when I remove the Interchange headers
I add the interchange headers back and deploy for it to pick up the file and I get the error:
The flat file message is not recognized. Unrecognized messages are not allowed as per the specified configuration.
This is the extent of the error information that Biztalk will respond with.  I have to assume the issue is with the interchange headers since I know the transaction portion of the document itself validates.  Below is a copy of my headers.
    ISA*00* *00* *ZZ*SEND *ZZ*RECV *040805*0416*U*00401*000000001*0*T*^~GS*QM*SEND*RECV*20040805*0416*000000001*X*004010~[214 Transaction]~GE*1*000000001~IEA*1*000000001~
I am beginning to believe the problem may be due to the trading partner agreement.  I originally didn't have an agreement at all and was just publishing my service.  I have now added two partners for the send and the receive.  I also created
an agreement with the Hosted Partner qualifier matching the sender info in the header and the Guest Partner being the receiver info.  I set the version and type to match, added the sender application qualifier (GS02) which matches the sender info (ISA06)
and set the schema to the one I validate locally X12_00401_214.
Despite having the agreement in place that matches the headers I still receiving a flat file message not recognized error with no additional error information.
Please rescue me from the insanity...

    Hi,
We need a few more details about his scenario.
have you uploaded this particular schema to the service?
What kind of bridge are you using – EDI / AS2 / XML
What tool are you using to push the message to BizTalk service? If you are using EDI / As2 bridge, are you adding proper HTTP headers while sending message from the client?

I am not a computer savy person.  I just need to plug in and have the machine do what it should do.
Not a problem, but that indicates you have a lot to learn.
File extensions like mpeg, mp4., avi, wmv, etc. are just wrappers. It is like a box the audio or video content is placed inside. The audio and video content must be encoded with a codec before it is placed in the box. There are thousands of codecs. Not all are installed on your Mac. You must have the same codec installed that encoded the video in order to play it. So, while Quicktime does support mpeg wrapper, it may not have the codecs to decode the internal video.
Some programs have lots of the codecs available to them, like VLC, Niceplayer, MPlayerX, etc.
You can also get "plug-ins" for Quicktime that add codecs to Quicktime, like Perian. Although it is no longer being developed, Perian still works well.
Why is it so difficult? Probably because they are always working on ways to compress the video to get better playback.

  • File URLs -  do not accept spaces in folder/direcotry name?

Version of US used is: 1.0.3
I tried to create a file data source with the following file URL from the Administration Application under the Sources/File tab:
    file://localhost/c:/myDir/New Folder/
But I got the following error:
    Oracle Ultra Search Error
    Invalid file protocol URL:Folder/
URL does not begin with file://
Note: It is not a problem if the folder name does not have a space. E.g. when I renamed "New Folder" to "New_Folder", it was fine.
My questions: Is that correct that US does not accept file URLs with spaces in the folder/directory names? If so, is it the same with the newer release US 9.0.2?
    Thanks.

Currently space is used as a delimiter in file seed URL.
Therefore, user can not crawl files located in directory containing space. This is the case for 9.2, 1.0.3, 9.0.2. You raise a good point, I will evaluate the possibility to remove this restriction in our next release (iAS 9.0.4). If we decide to support this, I will update this question.
    Thanks ! ^_^

  • Can't open .dmg files, says its "not recognized"

I have recently tried to mount a .dmg file but a dialogue box will always open, saying that the disk was "not recognized".
I've already checked "From anywhere" under "System Preferences/Security and Privacy/Allow applications downloaded from", so there should be no problem with downloading a .dmg file off the internet, right?
The .dmg is an Adobe Extensions Manager CS4. I'm using a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.8, and yes I already know that particular extension manager is not for this operating system, but this has already happened with a 10.8 version as well.

If you right click on the dmg can you open it?
Use Software Update or the OS 10.8.3 combo update to update your OS.  Also, update everything SU has to offer for your computer.  When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

  • Opening RAW files in Bridge - not recognized as "Camera RAW files"

I would appreciate any help with this as I am frustrated after spending hours trying to figure this out:
    I use a Mac OS X laptop
I have a Panasonic (DMC FZ8) camera that I've been taking RAW pictures with. I plug my camera into my computer and try and open the RAW files directly from the camera using Bridge (I have Photoshop CS2)..I have also tried copying the files to a folder on my desktop and opening from there. The problem is that Bridge doesn't recognize my .RAW files as actual "Camera RAW" files and the icons remain as the Preview icon and not actually a preview of the image. If I click on it to open it in Photoshop the "Photoshop RAW Options" come up set on 8 bits and when I open it, it's just a gray screen. I have checked the settings for RAW Camera and the Panasonic RAW files .raw is selected. I have also tried selecting "show only camera raw files" in my window that is open and my .RAW files that are there gray out - so the program isn't recognizing them.
I just downloaded the Plug-in 3.7 Camera Raw and had to create folders for it in Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CS2/File Formats. the only folder I had was Application Support/Adobe so the rest I created.
I'm now lost as to what I should do next. Nothing I try seems to be working.
    PLEASE HELP!

    >I plug my camera into my computer and try and open the RAW files directly from the camera
    Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!
That is a monumentally bad idea. Transfer the closed files to your local hard drive first.
This excerpt is from a long-gone post by the late, lamented author Bruce Fraser:
    Bruce Fraser - 4:17pm Jun 14, 04 PST (#5 of 21)
Opening files directly from the camera is a bad idea for a variety of reasons*, and it most certainly isn't faster than using a FireWire or USB2 card reader.
             Drains the camera battery
Runs the risk of the software you're using to open the images writing to the card and destroying the format
Runs a small but significant risk of USB power frying the camera
Slowest method known to mankind of getting images off a CF or SD card

  • Files on iPod not recognized by iTunes

I have several files on the iPod that can not be displayed in the ipod section of iTunes. They were put on the iPod using iTunes, and the iPod has only ever been connected to this one computer. I get to the files on the ipod via artist, but when I connect the ipod, itunes doesn't even display that artist. Any ideas???

Found answer elsewhere, in my case syncing the podcasts deleted even those that iTunes wouldn't display.

  • Video upload from Droid X to computer....file extension .3gp not recognized be any of my players.

I uploaded a couple of video files from my Droid X to my computer.  They have and extension of .3gp.  None of my players will recognize them.  Can anyone help with this?

Sorry, bud....didn't mean to confuse you.  I plugged in my phone to my computer and uploaded 3 video files from the phone to the computer.  The apps that I have on my computer (Windows Media Player, QuickTime, Irfanview, etc) will not play the files. The file extension is .3gp.  I have associated .3gp with each one of the players and they just will not open a .3gp file.  I downloaded several video converters to see if I could change the extension, but the converters will  not recognize the .3gp extension either.  I'm thinking that there is a codec (not really sure what a 'codec' is????) that is missing from the original phone files and my computer software(s) cannot 'unzip' the files.  Guess I'm just screwed.  I've tried everything I can think of.
Since my phone is dependant on Google, I thought maybe the Mobile Video Player Pro app would go thru my gmail and I would be able to copy it to my computer.  Wrong!!!  The app downloaded directly to my phone, so, 'screwed', again...lol.

  • HT5409 Avchd files *.MTS are not recognized by QuickTime Player in OS X 10.8.3

I have some acvhd files named as 00036.MTS and they play pretty good with VLC. I got all excited when I read that in OS X 10.8.3 that the QuickTime Player will have support for avchd files. I just upgraded three machines to OS X10.8.3 a Macbook Air, Mac Mini and an iMac, when I click on an a 00036.MTS file it defaults to VLC and if I right click and select to use an application to use QuickTime does not display. If I select all applictaions then select QuickTime, I am told QuickTime may not recognize this format. I click ok and get, "The document "00036.MTS" could not be opened, QuickTime Player cannot open files of this type. The avchd files have been created with a Sony camera.
What do I need to do to get this to work?
    Walter

It looks like you need to keep them packaged in their file hierarchy, not open the .mts files directly. See here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5409

  • Files without extensions not recognizing program

Recently I used my new lacie firewire drive to transfer files from my G4 to a PC laptop. Now the files on the Lacie (when I work on the G4) are missing their icons. Only files without the extension .ai, .m4a etc. Some files will open via right click and choose the program. Some will not open at all.
In every folder there is now a finder.dat and resource.
I read in a recent post about the finder.dat and resource. And now understand the relationship to the PC. This has never happened on my older Lacie drive which I've used between computers.
Is there a repair program I can run on the Lacie?

But for now is there a way to salvage the files that are
gray rectangles. So that they can recognize the program
    from which they were created?
First, you do get credit for using some method of backing up. Thats more than many users do
If the files with generic icons were created on another Mac, and they will not open (or prompt you for a program to open), then you likely no longer have either an old copy of the program that created the file, or you do not have the OSX version of the program that created them, or both.
Given they are from a G3, I would suspect they are looking for a Classic based program, not an OSX based program.
First question: Is Classic installed on your new machine?
If not, you may want to install it. Presuming your G3 was up to OS 9.2.2, you should be able to simply copy the System Folder (Os9), as well as the Applications (OS9) folder from the G3 to the external to the G4.
Second question: Based on your folder structure, can you determine what program you originally used to create the file(s)?
If the answer to question 2 is yes, then try opening that program (or the latest version thereof) first, then using it's open... command to open the file that you cannot 2x click.
Once you successfully open the file in (whatever program), save the file. This should 'update' the file, change the icon, and make it 2x clickable from the finder.
If the files with generic icons were created on the PC, then you will need the Mac equivalent of the program, or a program you know can open the file. For these files, once again open the application, then use it's open... command to get to the file.
Keep in mind there may be some files you simply cannot open or run on the Mac. There are way too many to list, but some of the most common will be .MDB (MS Access),DLL,PIF,COM, EXE,CAB, & MSI.

  • H.264 export without audio creates files that are not recognized in Quicktime or VLC

    Dear all,
I need to generate h.264 files with video only. (short clips for use with a "clickable" catalog on an iPad)
Used the "H.264" category and chose a preset. Unchecked "Audio" so I only get the video exported.
The resulting .m4v file is not playable in Quicktime or VLC or MPEG streamclip.
When I leave audio enabled with the same preset, the file is fine, but as soon as I export without audio, the resulting file is unreadable.
Source material is ProRes 422HQ, audio+video, about 30-40 seconds long.
    Any clues?
    Carl.
    Mac Pro 5,1
    24GB RAM
    Nvidia Quadro4000
    4TB internal RAID0
    OS 10.7.5
    Premiere 6.0.2

Thanks Jeff, I did get that far ;-)
I'm sorry, probably my question wasn't very clear. Of course I can find some technical info about the iPad...
And of course some of the presets in Media Encoder provide basic starting points for encoding.
But... there is also the first iPad, I couldn't find the specs about it on the Apple site. On everymac.com I found:
Apple reports that the iPad supports "H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats."
So if I want to be compatible with all iPads I need to probably stay under 720p30 with [email protected] for H.264
    When I look at
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC
I find (from the example values) that 1280x720@30p is quite near the maximum matrix size. So with 1024x576 I should be ok there. My bandwith of about 2Mbit is also well within range in this case. But what if I want to fill an iPod screen (1024x768) with the highest possible quality video? How do I calculate if this fits the max frame size requirements, where this is expressed in a number of luma samples and macroblocks? What is my max bandwith? The tables says that the "Max video bit rate for video coding layer (VCL) kbit/s" should be <14.000kbps. Does that directly translate to the sliders in my encoding app?
If you look in the table "AVC software implementations" (under Software encoder feature comparison) you can see that some features that are supported in MainConcept, and not supported in Qt. (8×8 vs. 4×4 transform adaptivity, Quantization scaling matrices, Separate Cb and Cr QP control, etc. What are these exactly?)
In Streamclip one can choose to have B-frames or not, in AME there is no such control. Does that mean it always encodes with B-frames? Why would one not want to have B-frames?
A lot of parameters in AME H.264 encoding seem to be set to certain fixed values that are not accessible to the user. Other programs (Sorensen, Telestream) provide the user with access to more parameters. Which parameters in AME are set to what (fixed, non-accessible) values and why?
As I said earlier, Quicktime reports different codecs for what should be the same format but from different encoders. Why? Is there a program that can analyze a H.264 stream and report about it in more detail than VLC/Quicktime?
    etc. etc. etc....
If anyone could recommend an online resouce or a book to learn more about the ins and outs of H.264 encoding/decoding that would be great. I have the first edition of Charles Poynton's (brilliant!) book "Digital Video and HDTV", which does talk about MPEG-2 but not H.264. I saw that the second edition goes a bit more into detail about H.264. Does anyone have the second edition? Worth buying just for the relatively small addition about H.264?
    Thanks.
    Carl.

  • Corrupt file and iTunes not recognizing

Okay. This is going to be long. My friend wanted me to put some songs on her iPod Nano (1 GB first generation). I did it once before and everything worked perfectly, but this time, I was uploading songs onto it, and all of a sudden there's this 'Uknown error' message. Then iTunes disconnects it. I reconnected it, and it wouldn't let any songs be put onto it and all the songs were erased. I tried to restore it (And as far as I know I have the latest version of iTunes), and after I did that, iTunes doesn't even recognize it anymore, and in the bottom right corner of my toolbar on my computer it says That my iTunes and Music folder on the ipod is corrupted and that I should use the Chkdsk thing. I used it, and nothing happened. I'm really confused now. Anyone else run into this kind of thing?

It will not delete from my trash as it is saying "Japanese.lproj" is in use. I have never opened or used "Japanese.lproj".
Interesting. This sort of thing is more common on Windows systems. Taken at face value, one of the iTunes program files (one of the Japanese language resources) is damaged.
I'd try running your Disk Utility over your startup disk. Does it find/repair any damage? If so can you empty your trash and reinstall your iTunes successfully now?

While mine wasn't specifically with lightroom (it was with illustrator), but I found my problem to be that my internet application would quit the download after 599mb. Thus, I would have a corrupt file. Everything on my computer is up to date. I installed the downthemall addon for firefox and was able to complete my 1.5gb download for illustrator. An annoying hiccup, but like ArunPrasad said, this issue can occur because of many reasons.
