Filereference.browse not returning select event in web applciation. Sometimes it works also but very random

I am using flex sdk 4.6 , FileReference.browse is not dispatching select event in all cases. Sometimes it just ignore my selected file without giving any error.

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

FileRefrence.browse does not dispatch select event in some cases

In my flex web application, filereference.browse sometimes does not dispatch any select event. I am using flex sdk 4.6.

What happens if you put table Table_1 into the Analytic View?

Can anyone help can not get my ipad to connect to wireless today. has been working fine but all of a sudden will not connect to Router. I have a kindle and a mobile and both of these will connect to the router wireless but the ipad will not.
Been to my parents with the i pad and this will connect to their wireless router.

Also try this - Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.

F4 help on G/L account master not returning selected value in FB60 tcode

Hi All,
We have upgraded from 4.7c to 6.0 , and now I am facing a problem in FB60 transaction .
When the user presses on F4 help for G/l Account master field , all the values are getting displayed correctly but when the user selects any one value by doubleclicking on any one of them , then that value is not get picked and populated in the G/L account number field.
Please help me with this.

Wifi is on but will not connect once page is selected. The web page support pages work.

Wifi doesn't work on secondary searches. I pull up the page but the next link times out. However if I click on a video or pictures on the same page they will appear

LOV does not return value to the base page sometimes

Hi,
I have created messageLOV type items. These LOVs do return value to the base page usually. We have a user in Uruguay who is trying to use the page which has the LOVs. He says the LOV takes a long time to return to the main page after he clicks on quick select and also the value does not get populated in the main page.
We have not been facing any such problem here in India. The LOV has been tested rigorously with no issues as such.
Can you please suggest a reason why such a problem is occuring? Expecting your replies soon

Can you please give me the inputs about the creation of LOV and it requires how many lov mappings as mandatory?
This is there in the devguideHow to identify the mapping fields of an LOV which is already existing in the base page to reproduce in a similar way and need to do a customization on top of it ?

Web Gallery-Sometimes Rollover works, sometimes it does not....

I'm speaking of on line, not in iphoto, as the viewer would see it.
This happens with all my Galleries. Go back a few min. later and it works, later again, it does not.
(I'm speaking of course about the user being able to roll over the album and view the pics from there)
Also..... Tutorial shows that I can hit the space bar when viewing my album and make that the default "album cover pic" .... Not happening.

Are you able to cruise thru a album, via the rollover feature, hit the spacebar having that make the pic showing the new "default" album cover?
That only works when you're skimming an Event in the Event window. Doesn't work for the online gallery.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Po_headers_sv3.get_po_status is not returning Status when used in Report

JTree Selection Events

Hello,
I like to initially expand a tree and select the first data item in it. It should then execute all events as it would when the user opens the tree with mouse clicks and selects a sub-item.
This is my code:
In the constuctor of the container of the tree control I do:

In the last two rows above I expand the root of the tree and select the first row of the expanded tree. This works fine but the EVENTS (TreeSelectionListener) are NOT fired! My implementation of the Selection Listener executes another query on a database server and fills the results in a table. This is only called AFTER mouse clicks, the programmatically selected first row does NOT fire selection events!!
Is there any way of firing selection events PROGRAMMATICALLY??

My code was throwing an Exception becoz of the index in substring function.
To put in simple terms, careless programming. and my mind had gone for a walk...I wasn;t able to figure out where the problem lied :)

Bugseye catalog does not return a shopping cart occasionally

Dear Experts,
We have a problem where Bugseye catalog items sometimes randomly do not return a shopping cart into the SRM portal side. This happens randomly for any Bugseye items after restarting the browser (IE8 and Firefox 3.6.13). Otherwise the Bugseye catalogs are running fine with an https connection.
After the browser restart, about 1/3 attempts to create a shopping cart from Bugseye catalogs return nothing. Instead the user is brought back to 'Shop in 4 steps' screen without a shopping cart. After the failed attempt a user lock is created (tcode SM12) and the shopping session left open. Once a shopping cart is successfully returned, it does not fail again unless the browser is restarted. The error happens randomly and we haven't been able to figure out any logic behind it. We have verified that the source codes in the Bugseye side, just before continuing to order items, are identical for a successful and non-successful tries. We have also placed breakpoints in function module BBP_WS_IMPORT_SC_DATA, to ensure no errors are issued for the items
Does anyone have any idea what could cause the problem?
We are running SRM7.0 Extended Classic Scenario ( SRM 7.00 SP11). Requisite Bugseye version 4.0.0.25.

sometimes the browser cookie and session information will be conflicting with the punchout window. It is better to clear the cookie information and then try once on http.

Custom UIView not receiving touch events for fast mouse clicks in simulator

I'm having a problem in the simulator where if I click fast in a UIView inside a table cell that is setup to receive touch events, it doesn't receive them. But if I click slow (holding down the button for a little bit) the view gets the touch events. I can't test it on the device. Is this a known problem in the simulator?

Photos. They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. Copied them (hours and hours) to external hard drive. They are now in alphabetical order (19,000 of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order-and have been taken with different cameras- help!!!!!!

They are on my macBook, backed up on time machine. There are 19,000+ of them, some rescued from a pc crash- which I used the nifty iPhoto to put back into date order.
I want to take them all off my laptop, now............as I need to use it for WORK!!
Copied them (hours and hours) to another external hard drive.
They are now in alphabetical order (all 19,000+ of them) NOT IN THEIR EVENTS or date order. (-They have also been taken with different cameras over the years and some of the generic camera numbering remains.)
I have tried to copy them (only a few as an experiment) one event at a time, but that again "opens up" the Event "folder" and tips them out as individuals and therefore just lists image letters and numbers alphabetically.
How can I copy
the whole library still in "Events" to an external hard drive?
the folders/albums I have already made on to this hard drive?
and how can I add to this back up monthly, again keeping events and folders separate and updated?
Mac is so user friendly - there must be a way.........

UPDATE : I have re-installed from disk, various apps that were no longer functioning such as iLife, iWork etc. So, I now can access my photos again.
Also, I had to re-install all the software for my printer ( Stylus Pro 4880 ) and reset it so the printer is working again.
Photoshop CS4 won't open. I think I will have to get in touch with Adobe as basically, I guess they have a built-in "blocker" which prevents me from opening the app as the license is for only 1 user and having re-installed the OS, there are now, in effect, 2 users ( Me and Me 1, I think ).
So, having added on a new external HD, Time Machine has made a copy of most of the files, folders, apps etc onto the external HD. The internal HD is still nearly full ( 220 GBs out of 232 GBs ).
I am guessing the way to go now in order to free up space on the internal HD is to delete/trash older photos from my iPhoto library and hope that if needed, I will be able to access them on the external HD.
Am I correct ? Please advise before I do something I will regret.

Clicking "reply" on web mail emails does not autofill the sender's name, nor does autofill work when I start typing an addressee's name.

I use godaddy web mail for email address "[email protected]" In the past, when I would click "Reply" to reply to an email, a window would open and the recipient's email address would autofill in the "To:" box. Now it does not. I checked on Internet Explorer, and it works there, but again, not on Firefox. Also in the past, when I would initiate a new email, as I started to type the addressee's email address in the "To:" box, it would autofill from my address book into that box. Now it does not.

I believe the Apple Help information is incorrect. This has never worked this way for as long as I've used it, and I don't believe it ever was intended to work that way. I'd say it's a case where the writers of the Help documentation meant one thing and phrased it incorrectly, and it slipped through the proofreading process all these years.

[CS4, WinXP, JS] bridgeTalk.getTargets() does not return Acrobat

Hi, I recently upgraded from CS3 to CS4 and have a script that communicates with Acrobat through bridgetalk.
(It batch converts pdfs in a folder to eps - it works fine on CS3 and my test station copy of CS4)
The problem is that when I try to talk to acrobat, acrobat is not listening.
BridgeTalk.getTargets() returns:
fireworks,ame,bridge,devicecentral,dreamweaver,estoolkit,exman,flash,illustrator,indesign, photoshop
While BridgeTalk.getSpecifier("acrobat") returns:
null
I've searched the forums and seen this problem in other threads, but I could not find any answer as to how or why Acrobat "unregistered" itself, or how I can "re-register" it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't know why this works with some versions of CS and not with others -- anyway, it is not officially stated anywhere in documentation that it should work.
But after reading your post, I remembered that long ago I had read a document about programming Acrobat using Visual Basic. Today I reread it again and made a few tests -- and it works.
So we have another option: instead of using BridgeTalk we can use JSObject -- a mechanism that allows external clients to access the same JavaScript functionality provided by Acrobat from environments such as Visual Basic or AppleScript.
