Filter Extractor with POF

I am in the process of converting serialized beans to pof. Most of the stuff working except wherever ValueExtractor used in filter. This is the exception i m seeing on server as well as on client. BTW, we are using TCP extend for setting up client-server model.

Do i need to do anything special in order to make it work? This works with serialized beans. Let me know if you want me to provide further details

you may want to try this then:

somewhere in the online help, it gives you real specifics... I'll try to look it up again... basically, you'll create an ABAP program to serve as your extractor... you only need to add 2 key words at specific points in the code... that's it
here are the specifics:

  • Function Module Extractor with Delta

I'm very new to working with the BW, so I hope I'm explaining my question in a way that makes sense.
I need to make a BW extractor that pulls data from at least one table, possibly more, and which also calculates some data.
I think the only way I can do that is by using an extractor with a function module.
I've been looking at the examples in function group RSAX, and I think I sort of get it, except for one part.
I'm really confused about how the delta works.
I'm looking at the example: RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE
Does it even use a delta?
I'm trying to understand how the delta gets passed, and how it gets used to filter the data in the function module.  I'm not sure if it's something I need to code in myself, or if it's something that BW does by itself, or what.
I'm not sure if I'm making sense, but if anyone could help me, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks guys, you've been super helpful so far, so I'm just going to keep asking questions.  I promise to award points at the end
I'm looking at it now, and I think if I change it to read from a table, instead of read from a function module I can use the 'numeric pointer' option for the delta.  (Does that just mean a number?  For example, payroll runid is a number, so I could use that and only get new payroll runs?)
However, there still are some calculated fields they want.  Someone mentioned doing that on the BW side.  How would that work?
Sorry for such vague questions, but any help is really appreciated.

  • Getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail and cannot recieve or send mail to or from iCloud account apart from Apple emails!! Please help!

Since approx 7am GMT I've been getting "Error in sieve filter" message with each incoming mail, worse though, since about 12 noon I cannot recieve or send mail to or from my iCloud account apart from I've been getting  emails from Apple (ie I've just received a welcome one from Apple Support Communities...)!! I've had this account for years, never had a problem - it can't be the OSX Mail server because the problem is the same when I log directly into iCloud. I've tried sending emails from my Hotmail account to my iCloud account (a .mac) and just get undeliverable messages back. I'm really in the s**t now at work. : (  I just set up a Smart TV yesterday with a wireless dongle - that's the only thing I've done out of the ordinary. I've spoken to Sky who are my ISP and they say all's fine with them (although the router kept kicking my off the internet this morning which was strange...). Router seems fine now though.  I'm really hoping someone here can help!!
    Many thanks!!

Do you think once Apple sort this out I'll get my missing emails back?

  • Enabling FI-SL extractor with delta capability

I am working on enabling FI-SL (3FI_SL_*) extractor with delta capability.
Implemented OSS note 328197 successfully and also related OSS notes.
This works on totals table. Source system is 4.6C
Tested BW01, BW03 and everything seems to be fine, and shows as if extractor is enabled for delta loads.
I have done initialization. it works fine and got records.
But when I do delta - it shows ZERO records.
In RSA7 also I see Zero records.
If you have any experience , will you please share with me.
    It's a very urgent one.
    Venu

Create some records in the source system so that the base tables for this extractor will add some records.
Then check rsa7 whether it shows any records for next delta.
As Hari said..there might not be fresh records created or records changed,if you do delta load immediately after an init load.
    cheers,
    Vishvesh

  • Generic Extractors with Fm / Finding out tables used

    Hello Gurus,
for a requirement, i would like to find out the table used in a generic extractor with function module.
I can see the structure with the objects used but not the tables where they are from.
How can i find that out?
    Thank you
    Pat

    Hi Gilo ,
The best way to find out the tables used in the function module will be to analyze the code . Check all your Select Statements in the code and see the tables being used there .
Sometimes in the code , we use standard function modules from the ECC. Check those standard FMs also and see what table they are using .
Hope the above reply was helpful.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Message filter replies with wrong template?

I have filters that search the body for a keyword and reply with a template. No matter which template is selected it replies with one template everytime.

Here is the reply I sent to the OP by private mail (while my account was mistakenly blacklisted):
I think the search that worked was with the Quick Filter Bar, which searches downloaded mail. The "Run search on server" setting is in the window that appears when you right-click an IMAP folder, Search Messages (this type of search is similar to the filter dialogue).
But even if you have everything set up properly to search or filter according to body text, I can't explain why each filter replies with the same template. Perhaps you are experiencing this bug: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=533229

  • Using Desktop Filter IDs with WPC Content

    Hi All-
I'm migrating our 7.0 WPC content to Portal 7.31 and have run into an issue with one of our roles. We have a desktop that uses Filter IDs to control the entry points. When I create a connection to a WPC area inside this role, and add the filter ID to the connection the WPC Area content does not show in the navigation. If I add a new folder to the role as an entry point with the filter ID, then add a WPC connection to that folder the folder shows in the navigation but the WPC content does not render. The error is "
Page not found. Refresh the page or try again later. If the problem persists, contact your Portal administrator for assistance.
Here are the scenarios I tried:
    #1:
    Role
    >New connection to WPC Area (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
[no navigation node gets displayed here]
    #2:
    Role
    >New folder (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
    >>New WPC connection (not set as entry point)
[folder displays in navigation but errors on WPC content]
    #3:
    Role
    >New folder (not set as entry point but filter ID assigned)
    >>New connection to WPC Area (set as entry point and filter ID assigned)
    [no navigation node gets displayed]
Can someone tell me how to accomplish using filter IDs with WPC content?
    thanks in advance.
    Tim

It turns out this has nothing to do with the FilterIDs. The fix is to assign end user permissions on the Area in Area Management. Once that is set the role that contains the filterID works as expected.

  • Infoset extractor with an extra field

    Hi
I've created an extractor with an extra field - it concatenates date and time to get a timestamp. When I use this infoset in my generic datasource, the extra field is not displaying. It's just displaying the table that the infoset is based on.
Any help with this will be appreciated.

    wxs,
if you are just concatenating- why not do it on the BW side by way of transfer / start routines instead of customizing your extractor...?
    Arun
    Hope it helps...

  • Is camera raw filter available with LR 3 or CS5?

Is camera raw filter available with LR 3 or CS5?

There has been a Camera Raw plug-in for Photoshop for many versions by now.
There is a new Camera Raw filter in PS CC—something that allows you to use the camera raw plug-in as a smart filter for a layer.
The Develop panel in Lightroom has the same adjustments as the Camera Raw plug-in for PS.
So depending on what you mean by “Camera Raw Filter” the answer is either LR3-No, CS5-No for the filter in PS-CC, or LR3-Yes, CS5-Yes if you mean the CR functionality.

  • Sharing an extractor with another BW system possible?

    Dear all,
We currently run BW3.1. Now we would like to install NW2004s next to it.
Is it possible to use the same extractor with delta loads when you have only 1 source system with 2 BW systems?
Do both BW systems contain all information after delta loads?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ralph

    Hi,
Yes, its possible. You can have just one source system, feeding multiple BW systems. But in your case, I'll be careful as you are trying to upload data to 2 different versions of the BW system. You have to check and test for the PI versions on the R3 side. Your current set of PI versions on R3 will have to be upgraded if you are planning to connect the system with the netweaver 04s version. Once you upgrade, you also need to make sure that the data loads work fine with your older BW version as well.
    Cheers,
    Kedar

  • How to filter date with time

Hi, with ADF 11.2.0 , i'm having a date column in the table which displays the date and time in the format of "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss.FF ". But the filter allows me to give only the date and i'm expecting to filter the records at least based the on the given date. But it's not working so. The reason i got in this forum is ,
"The typical af:table setup has it such that the filter for a date column allows you to specify dates, but not times. When the filter queries against the database, *it defaults the date's time component to midnight*. As such only records that match the date at midnight will be returned."
Based on the above statement , i guess no way for my scenario to filter the records based on date. Is there any way to filter data with time stamp. Thanks .

What if you define a transient attribute in your VO that basically uses Trunc(dateField) as its value?
Then show this attribute in the table for filtering.

  • Generic FM extractor with Delta

    Hello all,
I am trying to create a delta function module extractor on a table. I have creation date ANDAT, last change date AEDAT and a deletion flag on the table.
FM has to handle history, new and changes.
How can I generate delta? Can I just use RSO2 to set up delta? How can it be done? Also, can I get the code for a generic FM delta extractor?
    Please help.
    Thanks,
    Anirudh.

    Hi Sajeed,
So, I do not have to handle delta in the extractor at all? Just create a function module based extractor with all the fields and actually take care of delta in the infopackage??
The creation date is for newly created records and the change date is for changed records.
    My email is [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Anirudh.

  • Filter problem with operating system in french

    Hello,
There is a problem with the "Operating System - Windows" filter in the french version of ZCC.
If you create a bundle and go into "Requirements" and add a filter with Operating system and you set it to "Version 6.1 - Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2" you get this error
"Vos modifications ne peuvent pas tre appliques pour les raisons suivantes :
ErreurLa version doit tre sous la forme "x" "x.x.x.x". "
"You changes cannot be applied for the following reason : formatting must be x to x.x.x.x"
    The format should be "6.1 - Windows 7 /Windows Server 2008 R2 Versions".
The filter does work as intended with the english versions of ZCC. I have no problem with that but some of our admin does.
PS : I am currently unable to open an SR because our licence has not been renewed yet. So i am reporting this here.
    Thank you!

In 11.3 the value seems to be:
    windows.versions.6.1=Versions 6.1 - Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2
But should probably be set to:
    windows.versions.6.1=6.1 - Versions Windows 7 / Windows Server 2008 R2
And the correct Linux path would be: /opt/novell/zenworks/resources/properties/com/novell/zenworks/core/web/internal/resources/CoreInternal_fr.properties.
This bug would probably take them a minute or two to fix, sad to hear that it's been there since 11.

  • Using report parameter in data set filter expression with an SSAS data source

I have an SSRS report with an SSAS data source.
    Report parameters:
    Param1 - text, single select
    Param2 - text, multi-select
    Dataset:
In Query Designer, I want to include Param1 as a filter expression so I can have "Dimension1 Begins with @Param2". I'm not sure the exact syntax to make param2 work in this.
The point is to filter my data set on param1. If A is selected for param1, I want the data set to have the filter saying "Dimension1 begins with A"
Anyone know how to use a report parameter in the dataset filter expression for an ssas data source?

    hi,
try this maybe the dates you are comparing are not in the same format.
I test data template in EBS but not with dates.
    to_date(date,'dd/mm/YY') between to_date(:p_from_date ,'dd/mm/YY') and to_date(:p_to_date ,'dd/mm/YY')
if dont works try to put values insted of your parameter like :
to_date(date,'dd/mm/YY') between to_date(:p_from_date ,'10/01/07') and to_date(:p_to_date ,'01/12/07') ... put dates where u can have some values in report...
if dont work then try to print the values of the 2 parameters and the date of the select somwhere in ur report to see what you have in it..
    hope it helps..
    Regards Joe.

    Ben-
Is the SQL statement that is being executed returning incorrect results,
or is it causing an exception with the MySQL server?
If the former, can you describe the results you are seeing? If the
latter, can you post the stack trace?

It looks to me like the CROSS JOIN is not the right join to be using. ---
unless I am doing something altogether incorrect in the JDO Query itself,
    which is highly likely.
